Milei's Victory in Argentina, Its Influence on Venezuela, and Trump's Role in Latin America Alejandro Pina Esclusa Alejandro Pina Esclusa discusses how Javier Milei's success in Argentina, fueled by economic growth and a cultural battle against gender ideology and climate alarmism, models a path for the Venezuelan opposition and Latin America's right-wing movements. Milei's victory demonstrates that freedom-focused policies can resonate with voters seeking to escape socialist regimes. Donald Trump's vocal support for Milei helped him gain votes, positioning Trump as an increasingly influential leader across the continent and offering hope to Venezuelan exiles and opposition figures fighting the Maduro regime.

In total, 27 people have been killed in the attacks.Trump has claimed that the bombings are part of a fight against drug cartels. But there is no legal basis for this campaign. Small Business Confidence Dips Amid Inflation; IT Spending to Exceed $6 Trillion by 2026

Small business confidence has declined as inflation concerns rise, with 71% of owners expressing worries about ongoing price increases, according to the latest CNBC SurveyMonkey Small Business Index. This marks an increase from 66% in the previous quarter, indicating a cautious approach to spending among small business owners. The report highlights that 24% of these owners view rising prices as the greatest risk to their operations, prompting a need for strategic adjustments in pricing and customer engagement to mitigate inflationary pressures. In parallel, Gartner projects that global IT spending will exceed $6 trillion by 2026, driven primarily by investments in data center systems and software, particularly in response to the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) services. Despite the anticipated growth rate of 9.8% year-over-year, challenges remain, including constraints on computing resources and governance tasks. Gartner's analysis suggests that while organizations are currently experiencing disillusionment with generative AI, its integration into existing enterprise software is becoming more prevalent, shifting the focus from speculative investments to cost-cutting and efficiency improvements. The Kanata Report reveals that nearly half of the surveyed office technology dealers offer managed IT services, yet these services account for only 7.6% of overall dealer revenue. Among those engaged in managed IT, 73% reported an average revenue increase of 28.8%. This indicates that while there is potential for growth in managed IT services, many dealers are not fully capitalizing on this opportunity. Additionally, concerns about a potential AI bubble are discussed, with analysts suggesting that managed service providers (MSPs) may not be significantly affected, as major AI innovations are primarily driven by large corporations. For MSPs and IT service leaders, the current landscape emphasizes the importance of specialization and collaboration in a competitive market. With 75% of partners identifying these as top priorities, it is crucial for providers to differentiate themselves and focus on specific verticals. The findings suggest that while optimism remains high, particularly in regions like Latin America, actual revenue growth is slowing. MSPs should benchmark their performance, leverage distributor partnerships, and prioritize delivering measurable outcomes to navigate the evolving market effectively.Four things to know today00:00 Small Businesses Tighten Budgets While Enterprises Drive AI-Fueled IT Growth04:19 Cannata Report Shows IT Maturity Gap as Channel Weighs AI Bubble Risks07:28 Intel Returns to Profit With Government Boost, but Foundry Struggles Continue09:52 TD SYNNEX Report Shows Partner Growth Slowing but Confidence Holding Strong This is the Business of Tech.    Supported by:  https://saasalerts.com/mspradio/

This musical journey highlights the decisive influence of pioneering women who challenged gender conventions and paved the way for more authentic and rebellious expression within punk and alternative rock. These late '70s and early '90s masterpieces not only were part of Kurt Cobain's musical influences but also resonated deeply in Latin America, including bands like She Devils, Tijuana No!, The Bags in Los Angeles, and Maria T-Ta in Peru, to name a few. I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends. This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices. To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth. So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13 It's also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn't make decisions for you. It doesn't give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior. The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.   American Conservative University Podcast (ACU) is not an official representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Thanks to our faithful donors, we are able to provide food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are proud to have fed millions of people and provided more than 15.7 billion dollars in aid. Our faith inspires us to be an organization built on compassion, and motivated by love. Our mission is to bring relief to the poorest of the poor in the countries where we serve. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love. It's a sacrificial love that embraces all people regardless of race or religion. We believe that we can show His love by serving the “least of these” on this earth as Christ challenged us to do in Matthew 25. We pray that by God's grace, and with your support, we can continue to bring relief to the suffering and hope to the hopeless. --------------------------------------------------------

A fragile ceasefire in Gaza, the collapse of a UK spy trial, and a damning new report on China's exploitation of U.S. defense research—Chris and Matt unpack a pivotal few weeks in global politics and intelligence. They assess the Trump-brokered truce between Israel and Hamas, the role of Jared Kushner, Qatar, and Tony Blair in the deal, and why Netanyahu's legal troubles could upend it all. In London, they break down how a high-profile Chinese espionage case unraveled, exposing gaps in the Official Secrets Act and Britain's uneasy relationship with Beijing. And in Washington, Matt digs into a new Congressional report on U.S. taxpayer-funded defense research benefiting the PLA—from hypersonics, quantum computing, and AI—and the bipartisan effort to close those loopholes. Friends,I used to think of presidents as having dignity and stature, and the White House as being the “People's House” — the essence of simple taste and modest grandeur. No longer. In the week after No Kings Day — the largest demonstration in American history — Trump has found new ways to defile and desecrate his office and the nation. He's taken a battering ram to the White House, literally as well as figuratively, to create a giant garish gold-leafed ballroom financed by Trump's favorite billionaires and big corporations. Meanwhile, he posted an AI-generated video of himself as a bomber pilot defecating on the Americans who demonstrated against him. He is using the Justice Department to prosecute people who have tried to hold him accountable for his illegal actions. Deploying federal troops in places he calls “Democrat” cities. Illegally shifting taxpayer money out of what he calls “Democrat” programs during the shutdown. And illegally bombing ships off the coast of Latin America. Trump is degrading his office and himself. In this podcast episode, Daniel Batten discusses the environmental impacts of Bitcoin mining, his journey into Bitcoin, the IMF's influence on Bitcoin adoption, and his current projects in Latin America. Key Topics: Bitcoin and the environment The role of Bitcoin in stabilizing grids and accelerating renewable energy transition IMF and its influence on Bitcoin adoption Bitcoin as a solution to landfills CH4 Capital Summary: Daniel Batten debunks the common misconception that Bitcoin is bad for the environment by comparing it to the early days of solar technology, which also faced similar criticisms. He explains that Bitcoin mining, when powered by renewable energy sources, can be emission-reducing. He emphasizes that negative headlines about Bitcoin's environmental impact often overshadow positive stories, such as its role in mitigating methane emissions, stabilizing the grid, and accelerating the renewable energy transition. Daniel criticizes the media for disproportionately reporting negative aspects of Bitcoin mining while ignoring positive externalities. He uses the example of wasted wind energy in the UK, where wind farms are often built in remote locations without adequate infrastructure to transport the electricity to consumers. He explains that Bitcoin mining can utilize this wasted energy, turning a problem into an economic opportunity. Daniel shares his journey into Bitcoin, which began with his work in impact investing. He invested in climate tech companies focused on reducing CO2 emissions, but he wanted to have a more immediate and significant impact, particularly on methane emissions. His research led him to landfills, a major source of methane emissions, and he realized that Bitcoin mining could provide an economic incentive to capture and utilize landfill gas for energy. Daniel explains the concept of modern sanitary landfills that are lined to prevent leakage into the soil. However, these landfills create a compacted environment that causes the waste to rot without air, producing methane. Most of the landfills in the world release methane into the air, which is harmful to the environment. Daniel talks about the cost to build landfills, which can be hundreds of millions of dollars. He said waste management will always be one of the biggest single line items on your local government bill. He discusses the potential for Bitcoin mining to utilize wasted energy from hydro dams, as demonstrated by Bhutan. Bhutan used wasted energy from the hydro dams to mine Bitcoin, which helped them avoid an IMF bailout. Now Bitcoin mining is 40% of their entire GDP. There are now 10 nation states that are mining bitcoin. According to Daniel, the predominant method has been to mine bitcoin as a nation state and to acquire Bitcoin that way. Daniel discusses the IMF's concerns about Bitcoin adoption in countries like El Salvador, Argentina, Pakistan, and the Central African Republic. He suggests that the IMF's concerns are not genuine but are driven by the fear of losing customers and geopolitical influence. He discusses John Perkins's work on economic hitmen and how the IMF and World Bank can trap countries in debt cycles, extracting resources and influencing their economies. Daniel shares that he is currently located in Costa Rica, where he is working on projects to capture landfill gas and use it for Bitcoin mining. He's working on establishing the infrastructure needed to capture and utilize landfill gas for Bitcoin mining. He highlights the challenges of finding suitable sites for Bitcoin mining, regardless of the energy source. He discusses CH4 Capital, a company he operates where people can get a non-exceptional return. CH4 capital is a vehicle where people can get a combination of money coming in through the loan repayments, but also through the carbon credits without the conditions that the IMF have attached. Finally, Daniel shares who he would give his last orange pill to: the head of the United Nations, because the story of Bitcoin's social utility is so untold. He says that if the head of the UN knew that 300,000 refugees have used Bitcoin to flee their homeland and set up from scratch, then those sorts of stories would just find their way through into popular consciousness much more.

Sherritt studio sets itself apart as a boutique agency with a high level, data driven approach and bespoke full package services. The studio boasts 500 plus successful Amazon listings, with an average sales increase of 77% within the first month of launching. So welcome to the show, Rafael.Rafael 00:00:38  Josh, thank you so much for having me. I really appreciate it. What you were saying about finding somebody to help you. it's the best way I found out. I did the exact same thing with my mentors. Is Josh Nelson right here? Okay, so what you're offering is actually very, very, very good. I highly recommend that anybody that's, you know, listen to this. I met Josh in person. Super cool guy. you should definitely at least talk to him.Rafael 00:01:02  maybe you're not ready, but maybe within a month, you know you'll hit the target and you'll be ready to to to, you know, reach out to Josh and he can help you scale your business. But if if somebody has a blueprint, why would you want to, like, go sideways if somebody knows what it's going to happen? He's going to tell you, like, hey, you might run into this and this is what you have to do instead of you bouncing your head against the wall, you know?Josh 00:01:27  So true. Rafael, I guess I need to pay you that $100 now. Slide that under the table there.Rafael 00:01:33  No, this is not paid advertising. In no way whatsoever. It's just that I really I was I was super I am so stubborn that I, when I had my company, I was working for Nickelodeon at the time, and, I was, coordinator for post-production for Latin America. And I'm like, you know, at that time, my ego was just stupid.Rafael 00:01:55  and I was like, no, I don't need anybody's help with this. I can do myself, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm just gonna apply for all the awards. I'm just gonna get all the awards and, you know, blah, blah, blah blah. And at some point I was like, oh my God, I'm really struggling, I need help. And a friend told me, a friend who's very much more successful than me with an agency. He's like, hey, man, I reached my million dollar mark, but I can't. I can't grow anymore. I don't seem to be growing. And he does completely different marketing. He does marketing for cleaning companies. I met this dude, and I really think you should meet him, and, you know, yada yada, yada. And Josh is the the the one of the reason why I went into the Amazon space.Josh 00:02:36  Well, Rafael, you've got a lot of experience obviously, in marketing. I mean, the statistics that you shared that, you know, as you've worked with over 500 different Amazon listings, you've been able to increase sales by 77%.Josh 00:02:50  That's a large amount. What should an Amazon seller or just an e-commerce seller? They're on the on board with you in terms of like they know they need to build a brand, but where do they even begin right to in terms of building out their content? They believe that brands are important. So like where do you start with all of this?Rafael 00:03:09  yes. That's a great question. It's a great, great question. it depends on the at what stage of your Amazon journey you're at. but if, let's say you're a seven figure seller, so you definitely have some, some, some data. even if you're selling an e-commerce or Shopify, you have data there. social media, which are your top followers? The tricky thing is that the the people who buy off of Amazon are not the exact same people who buy somewhere else. So even though you kind of simulate, some of my clients actually have a complete buyer persona on Shopify, then they have on Amazon.Josh 00:03:46  Interesting.Rafael 00:03:47  Yeah, it's super interesting.Rafael 00:03:48  Interesting. So if you have a seven figure seller on Amazon, you definitely have brand registry, which gives you brand analytics. Now let's understand the actual consumer. Who's the consumer who's buying from you. is it is it a male or is it a female?Josh 00:04:02  The first step is for you to identify who this audience is, right? Like who is the buyer for this particular product, because then that's going to change the way that you're merchandising your product, right? The images that you're creating. And then you also kind of dove into, you know, utilizing those tools, that Amazon has now done, I think, over the last two years, like Amazon has been...

Send us a textThe hardest conversations often happen in the quiet minutes between calls. We sat down with clinician and co-response partner Amanda Rizoli to explore how real support for first responders is built—on language, trust, and the discipline to show up when services are thin and the need is loud. Amanda works alongside the Milford Police Department's Family Services Unit and partners with Community Impact, Chris's Corner Recovery Resource Center, and New England Medical Group to create a wraparound model that meets people where they are.We talk through the realities of police and EMS life: constant hypervigilance, the pull toward numbing after shift, and the challenge of switching from fight-or-flight to family dinner. Amanda breaks down how she approaches alcohol as a coping strategy without judgment, how she teaches practical skills like structured decompression and tactical breathing, and why brief, timely check-ins during ride-alongs can open doors that a formal office visit can't. She also shares how a therapy canine lowers defenses on scene, and how clinicians earn credibility by respecting patrol's turf and knowing when to step back.Culture and language shape access. As a trilingual clinician, Amanda navigates the nuances of Portuguese and Spanish dialects across Portugal, Brazil, and Latin America, where stigma can be high and immigration status complicates care. We dig into the shift among younger parents willing to break cycles of silence, and how targeted outreach, transparent pathways, and confidentiality build trust. Families matter here: spouses can act as early warning systems, keeping communication open and knowing when work stress is spilling into home. Periodic joint sessions help couples tune the signal without turning the house into a clinic. If you care about officer wellness, community trust, and practical ways to prevent burnout, this conversation delivers a grounded playbook: co-response done right, multilingual services, stepped care from outpatient to IOP, and the small, repeatable habits that actually make a difference after shift. In the sixth episode of our trade series, Pitchfork Economics producer Freddy Doss talks with Mexican economist Juan Carlos Moreno-Brid about how NAFTA — and now the USMCA — reshaped Mexico's economy in ways that those of us north of the Rio Grande almost never hear about. Yes, exports skyrocketed. But wages stagnated, domestic industry hollowed out, and Mexico became structurally dependent on the United States — even as political rhetoric in the U.S. grew more hostile toward Mexican workers. Moreno-Brid explains why the promised “shared prosperity” never arrived, why Mexico got stuck in an export-without-development trap, and what a truly fair and resilient U.S.–Mexico trade relationship would actually require. It's a perspective rarely heard in Washington, and an essential one for understanding the real stakes of North American trade. Juan Carlos Moreno-Brid is a professor of economics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and one of Latin America's leading experts on trade, industrial policy, and economic development. A former Deputy Director of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) office in Mexico, he has spent decades analyzing the impacts of NAFTA and Mexico's transition to an export-led model. Millions of Americans were in the streets over the weekend, rallying against President Donald Trump and his administration's latest authoritarian escalations. Organizers for the 'No Kings' protests said more than 7 million people turned out to more than 2,700 pro-democracy rallies across the country. Republicans tried their best to demonize the protesters saying the "hate America" demonstrations would be filled with radicals and violence. But, as it turns out, the protests were almost entirely peaceful.
