In this episode, Winston Brady and Josh Herring discuss about the Certificate in Classical Education Program at Thales College. CCEP for short, this is a certificate program that teaches the unique purposes and goals behind classical education, allowing classical educators to excel in their field and help their students to fulfill their potential. The Certificate in Classical Education Philosophy (CCEP) program consists of eight courses taken in any order (details below), culminating in a certificate. Each course is offered with the following model: participants are in cohorts of up to twelve; class is held through Google Meet; at each meeting, participants are led in a seminar discussion of a text read the previous week in preparation for the class. Each class meets five times over nine weeks. The certificate is earned upon completion of all eight courses (expected to be completed over two years). The classical renewal movement is growing at incredible speed, and the movement needs teachers and leaders who understand why we do what we do. We invite you to join us! This program is free of charge to Thales Academy teachers and administrators. For those outside of Thales Academy, each course carries a $300 course fee.Check out https://www.thalescollege.org/academics/philosophy for more information or email Josh Herring at josh.herring@thalescollege.org

H., Rolston, J. D. Abstract: Emerging evidence suggests that the temporal dynamics of cortico-cortical evoked potentials (CCEPs) may be used to characterize the patterns of information flow between and within brain networks. At present, however, the spatiotemporal dynamics of CCEP propagation cortically and subcortically are incompletely understood. We hypothesized that CCEPs propagate as an evoked traveling wave emanating from the site of stimulation. To elicit CCEPs, we applied single-pulse stimulation to stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) electrodes implanted in 21 adult patients with intractable epilepsy. For each robust CCEP, we measured the timing of the maximal descent in evoked local field potentials and broadband high-gamma power (70-150 Hz) envelopes relative to the distance between the recording and stimulation contacts using three different metrics (i.e., Euclidean distance, path length, geodesic distance), representing direct, subcortical, and transcortical propagation, respectively. Many evoked responses to single-pulse electrical stimulation appear to propagate as traveling waves (~17-30%), even in the sparsely sampled, three-dimensional SEEG space. These results provide new insights into the spatiotemporal dynamics of CCEP propagation. Copy rights belong to original authors. Visit the link for more info Podcast created by Paper Player, LLC
Welcome to Uncertain Forecast, a podcast series created by the California Center for Ethics and Policy--or “CCEP”--at Cal Poly Pomona. The focus of our podcast is on climate justice, an issue that affects people worldwide, particularly where inequality is greatest, but which is often disguised or invisible. Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2022.11.23.517746v1?rss=1 Authors: Ojeda Valencia, G., Gregg, N. M., Worrell, G. A., Huang, H., Lundstrom, B., Brinkmann, B., Pal Attia, T., Van Gompel, J., Bernstein, M. A., In, M.-H., Huston, J. I., Miller, K. J., Hermes, D. Abstract: Stimulation-evoked signals are starting to be used as biomarkers to indicate the state and health of brain networks. The human limbic network, often targeted for brain stimulation therapy, is involved in emotion and memory processing. Previous anatomical, neurophysiological, and functional studies suggest distinct subsystems within the limbic network (Rolls, 2015). Previous studies using intracranial electrical stimulation, however, have emphasized the similarities of the evoked waveforms across the limbic network. We test whether these subsystems have distinct stimulation-driven signatures. In seven patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, we stimulated the limbic system with single-pulse electrical stimulation (SPES). Reliable cortico-cortical evoked potentials (CCEPs) were measured between the hippocampus and the posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) and between the amygdala and the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). However, the CCEP waveform in the PCC after hippocampal stimulation showed a unique and reliable morphology, which we term the limbic H-wave. This limbic H-wave was visually distinct and separately decoded from the amygdala to ACC waveform. Diffusion MRI data show that the measured endpoints in the PCC overlap with the endpoints of the parolfactory cingulum bundle rather than the parahippocampal cingulum, suggesting that the limbic H-wave may travel through the fornix, mammillary bodies, and the anterior nucleus of the thalamus (ANT). This was further confirmed by stimulating the ANT, which evoked the same limbic H-wave but with a shorter latency. Limbic subsystems have unique stimulation-evoked signatures that may be used in the future to help develop stimulation therapies. Copy rights belong to original authors. The focus of our podcast is on climate justice, an issue that affects people worldwide, particularly where inequality is greatest, but which is often disguised or invisible. In this episode of the series, CCEP student fellow Rebecca Prentice records a walking journey along the San Gabriel Valley, capturing the sound of the environment around her and reflecting on the meaning of nature as it relates to cities and the built environment. In doing so, she forces us to challenge notions of the natural and unnatural. In this episode of the series we share with you a panel discussion hosted by CCEP on the topic of wildfires, an important topic for California. For this conversation, which I had the pleasure of moderating, we brought together four individuals leading the fight for equitable access to wildfire mitigation and adaptation measures in California. We were joined by researchers, scholars, and people working in the field on behalf of the public and the ecosystems affected by extreme wildfire events, each of whom had unique insight into the many ways wildfires affect people and communities in ways that often don't make the headlines – invisible to many, listen in to hear how vulnerability and exposure in the face of wildfire are heightened for some, not all. We ask that if you like what you hear, if you care about these issues, please share our podcast with your friends, family, and colleagues.
In this episode of the series, CPP political science student Melane Olmeda takes a close look at how the most invisible yet deadliest climate change-related issue, that of extreme heat, affects the lives of ordinary people. Melane is interested specifically on how extreme heat is affecting three different communities: a young representative for Latinx communities who is involved with a local activist group, a roof contractor who is part of a group installing solar on roofs in Southern California, and a resident of Pomona. Melane weaves in other seemingly tangential climate issues, such as wildfires, that greatly exacerbate extreme heat events, and asks of the people she interviews what impact such events have on their everyday lives and the lives of those around them – as well as what they are doing about it with the resources they have. We ask that if you like what you hear, if you care about these issues, please share our podcast with your friends, family, and colleagues.

The focus of our podcast is on climate justice, an issue that affects people worldwide, particularly where inequality is greatest, but which is often disguised or invisible. In our second episode of the series, CPP philosophy student Emily Reyes looks specifically at the impact of climate change on houseless people in Pomona, the surrounding community outside of the Cal Poly Pomona campus. Emily interviews key organizers and stakeholders to highlight two key issues in Pomona: access to food and access to adequate shelter by those most in need – the houseless population. With an eye towards understanding the challenges houseless peoples in Pomona face, Emily interviews a wide range of people on the ground, experiencing these issues first-hand, as well as people working for organizations attempting to mitigate some of these challenges. In this first episode, CPP bio student Alec Iskenderian takes a close look at what people think of plastics. Inspired by an exotoxicology class where Alec learned that it takes about 500 years for plastic to degrade into a form of energy that can be used for living things, Alec interviews everyone he can, random people on the street, and a professor at Cal Poly Pomona, to find out more about the impact of plastics in our lives and the lives of the ecosystems and organisms around us. But he also looks at where we, people and their everyday lives, figure into this class of materials called plastic – how much do we produce, how does it affect public health, what is the relationship between plastic and climate change, and what, exactly, is plastic? We ask that if you like what you hear, if you care about these issues, please share our podcast with your friends, family, and colleagues.

This is the eighth and final episode in our series, and therefore we wanted to offer something special. CCEP recently hosted Betto Arcos, who is a journalist and storyteller, to recite three stories at the intersection of housing and music. A native of Xalapa in Veracruz, Mexico, Betto now lives in LA where he is a frequent contributor to KPCC and PRX Radio. He is also the author of Music Stories from the Cosmic Barrio. If you've been listening to this podcast all season, these stories bridge many of the themes we've already explored, such as identity, adversity, and the importance of community building. We know how important it is to be inspired by both big businesses and individuals, which is why we are excited to present Talking Leaders, a bi-monthly initiative from the AHDB which will see a series of inspirational speakers share their life experiences and deliver impactful stories to the AgriLeader community. On this broadcast we discuss the workplace - "It's not a problem it's a cure - Driving equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace". We are joined by: Sharon Blyfield OBE, Head of Early Careers and Apprenticeships GB. Sharon has been in the business for 28 years in a variety of functions and roles. She joined the HR team 17 years ago, covering all elements of Supply Chain and now heading up the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Early Careers agenda for Great Britain. Having spent the majority of her career developing young talent at the start of their careers, her current remit fits perfectly with her passion to create opportunities to support the next generation of young leaders. As part of her commitment, Sharon strives to work with strategic partners who challenge organisation's approach to under representation of young people across all communities and works to create a level playing field in the recruitment process that might unconsciously deselect from those groups. Sharon's dedication and commitment to CCEP's apprenticeship programme has been recognised by CCEP's leadership team, as well as her peers and apprentices alike. She has received praise for her outstanding leadership of the programme, which has continued to grow and expand in line with the business' Early Careers agenda. As well as recognition from the leadership team, Sharon is adored by the apprentices themselves, who see her as a trusted advisor and mentor. This is the seventh episode in our series, which focuses on housing insecurity in California. This episode was created by two CCEP's 2020-21 student fellows, Octavio Cuevas and Victoria Torres. As I mentioned in past episodes, each year CCEP recruits a new group of student fellows, whose coursework and research focuses on the year's theme. For Octavio and Victoria's episode on “housing insecurity”, they offer us a unique listening experience. It begins with their own meditations on the meaning of home and how housing access has shaped their lives. Then, they interview a friend and fellow student who has experienced homelessness. The student details their struggle and how it impacted their ability to learn and succeed academically. Jay Rosen, CCEP shouts out to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills for being one of the best teams in the NFL this season and advises long-suffering Bills fan Lisa Fine to ‘enjoy the ride'. Jonathan Armstrong shouts out to Emma Raducanu for her stunning win in the US Open this year. Karen Woody shout outs domestic tourism in Brown County Indiana. Thomas Fox rants about Waller County and its lack of criminal charges against drivers who intentionally or negligently run over cyclists.
In this episode, I interview Dr. Bryant but as I call him “DR KYLE”.We discuss what chiropractic care is and what is is NOT. Doctor Kyle explains how his practice is a little different than most traditional chiropractic clinics. Doctor Kyle focuses more on ‘TOTAL body health and looking at the root causes of peoples aches and pains when they come to him. As a Extremities certified chiropractor, he looks also at injuries and trauma that may result in patients chronic pain.Additionally, Dr. Kyle has a good understanding of chronic illnesses and how they too can have a better results with a full body adjustment. There is a misconception that chiropractors are ‘cracking spines and necks'. We discuss the myth around that and what is really going on when you hear a cracking soundThe other modalities that Dr Kyle incorporates in his practice are extra special. He also offers physical therapy techniques, laser, and vibrational therapy.Dr. Kyle believes that total health starts with the spine but the connection extends thru out the body starting from the brain.BIO: Dr. Kyle Bryant is a chiropractor who is the descendant of multiple Tri-citian generations. He attended Kamiakin high school and graduated in 2003. After playing collegiate soccer and earning his bachelor's degree from Gonzaga in 2007, he went on to begin his chiropractic education at the University of Western States in Portland, OR. After graduating in 2012 he moved abroad with his wife, Desiree, to Ireland to begin the first experience of his professional career. After a year over-seas, the Bryants decided it was time to become a little more settled to begin a family and further develop Dr. Kyle's career – which landed them in Spokane, WA. After 3 unforgettable years with treating patients and receiving a certification in extremity injuries, the Bryants again felt it was time to move due to their growing family – but this time back to home.Integrative Chiropractic and Extremities and Dr Kyle represent the ONLY active CCEP (certified chiropractic extremities practitioner) within a 100 mile radius, which allows him to incorporate arm and leg injuries into spinal dysfunction injuries. The certification required an additional year of study and requires an exceptional knowledge in biomechanics of the extremity joints and injuries that can result as a consequence of their dysfunction.“I enjoy working with patients and families of all ages who participate in a wide range of activities from weekend warriors, to musicians, to elite athletes. My approach is holistically focused within a chiropractic-wellness paradigm – I believe the body is self-healing and we must learn how to tap into these abilities if we are to understand solutions to our health. This perspective allows me to focus on finding medical answers through preventative health and function. Another unique component of my treatment philosophy is rooted in the CCEP knowledge of extremities and overall mechanics of body movement. I welcome any patient striving to better themselves and improve their health!”In his personal life, Dr. Kyle is married to his wonderful wife, Desiree and has three kiddos . In this episode, we share with you our final 2021 panel discussion hosted by CCEP, titled “Racial Gaps in Homeownership, Income, and Savings”, which brought together three experts on the history of housing and wealth inequality in the US, and Los Angeles more specifically. This conversation is special because the moderator, Alvaro Huerta, Associate Professor in Urban and Regional Planning and Ethnic and Women's Studies at Cal Poly Pomona, provokes our panelists to talk about their personal experiences--experiences with housing, poverty, and racism. These personal reflections lay the foundation for a discussion about historical and contemporary forms of discrimination in homeownership and other forms of institutional oppression that perpetuate wealth inequality along racial and ethnic lines. Panelists: Dr. Gary Painter, Chair, USC Department of Public Policy; Director, Sol Price Center for Social Innovation; Director, USC Homeless Policy Research Institute Lori Gay, President & CEO, Neighborhood Housing Services Los Angeles Dr. Anaid Yerena, Assistant Professor, University of Washington, Tacoma This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. In this episode, we share with you another 2021 panel discussion hosted by CCEP, titled “The Eviction Crisis on the Horizon: Rent Relief and Pandemic Recovery in California”. For this conversation, which I had the pleasure of moderating, we brought together three individuals leading the fight for rent relief in California, and particularly in Los Angeles. As with previous panels you'll certainly hear some policy analysis here. However, we wanted to make sure we invited community organizers working at the grassroots level so listeners can also hear how the pandemic, and concomitant eviction crisis, is impacting the lives of tenants. It's worth mentioning that although this panel discussion was held several months ago, the issue is still very relevant today. The pandemic, while subsiding, is not over. And despite the funding for rent relief programs allocated to cities in the American Rescue Plan, renters remain vulnerable and an eviction crisis still looms on the horizon. Panelists: Gary Blasi, Professor of Law Emeritus, UCLA Faizah Malik, Senior Staff Attorney, Public Counsel Pamela Agustin, Coalition Manager, Eastside LEADS Moderated by Brady Collins, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Cal Poly Pomona and Faculty Fellow with CCEP. In our third installment of Securing Justice, we share with you an episode created by one of CCEP's 2020-21 student fellows, Itzia Salinas Cortes. To better understand the role that architects can play in addressing housing affordability, she interviews Jim Broeske, an architect with 40 years of experience working in Southern California. In their discussion, they talk about the ways in which building codes and design standards pose unique challenges to architects working in affordable housing construction, as well as creative solutions that architects--and cities--should consider to overcome them. This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Visit calhum.org.
Our guest for this week's episode, Katrina Edillor, the Head of AX Ventures at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners & Board Observer at The Benevolent Society. She also opened up about the important values that she and her husband share to make her role as a parent and a career woman work.A strong force in the industry and with a heartfelt story to tell about family, overcoming obstacles, turning trials into a positive experience, and giving back to the community, listen to Katrina's inspirational story about her life journey. In this episode of Securing Justice, we share with you a second panel discussion hosted by CCEP, titled “Representations of Place, Home, and Insecurity”. For this conversation, we invited three creatives--a filmmaker, a visual artist, and a theater maker--whose creative work somehow examines these themes in Southern California. The impact of art and artists on the city is a widely studied topic, and something that any urban resident has probably seen or felt in their day-to-day lives. For this reason I think listeners outside of California will still find this conversation relevant to their own experiences. Panelists: Jeremiah Hammerling: Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker, who has worked on a number of projects including City Rising for KCET. Alvaro Marquez: a visual artist and educator whose interdisciplinary practice integrates print-making, fiber art, installation, and sculpture. Marike Splint: a theater maker, Fulbright Scholar, faculty member in the Department of Theater at UCLA, and she specializes in creating work in public space that explores the relationship between people, places, and identity. Moderated by Professor Rennie Tang, a designer, educator, and Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at CPP, whose research interests include kinesthetic engagement in urban landscapes, intergenerational playscape for health and wellbeing, and choreographic spatial practices. For a full video of the panel, visit CCEP's YouTube page. This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Welcome to Securing Justice, a podcast series created by the California Center for Ethics and Policy--or “CCEP”--at Cal Poly Pomona. The focus of our podcast is housing insecurity, an issue that affects millions in the United States and is particularly acute here in California. This podcast will explore housing insecurity through a variety of means--panel discussions, interviews, and creative works by faculty and students. Our aim is not necessarily to debate solutions to housing insecurity in California--though you will find some of that here--but rather to examine the multiple ways in which housing insecurity is experienced by different groups and individuals. From artists and activists to philosophers and policy wonks, we hope to provide listeners with a varied and nuanced look at how housing insecurity affects the lives of Californians, and what we--and you--can do about it. In this first episode, we share with you the first of what was a series of panel discussions hosted by CCEP this past semester. This discussion, titled “Housing Justice: From Trump to Biden”, brings together four panelists to discuss the role and impact of the federal government on housing insecurity under the Trump and Biden administrations. This is our most policy-heavy panel discussion, but by providing a macro-level perspective on the politics of housing insecurity policy I think it appropriately sets the stage for our later episodes that take a closer look at the lived experiences of the housing insecure. Panelists: Joan Ling (UCLA, Urban Planning, and former director of the Community Corporation of Santa Monica) Kristina Meshelski (CSUN, Philosophy, activist with LA Tenants' Union and Democratic Socialists of America) Thomas Safran (Chairman of Thomas Safran & Associates, Real Estate Developer) Joe Donlin (Deputy Director, Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE)) Moderated by Professor Anthony Orlando (CPP, Finance, Real Estate, & Law). This week we once again explore the UK Environment Bill, and how it will impact food brands and manufacturers. Following last weeks look at deforestation, we now turn our attention towards packaging. With the bill placing more responsibility on producers to make changes to their packaging in order for them to be easily recyclable, we look at how food brands will need to adapt to help the environment. Joining us are two experts in packaging and sustainability Martin Hyde, Policy Leader, Comply Direct and Julian Hunt, Vice President Public Affairs & Communications, Coca Cola European Partners. They explain what the new legislation means for the environment and how food brands will need to adapt. Join the conversation on Table Talk. About our panel Martin Hyde, Policy Leader, Comply Direct Martin is the dedicated Policy Leader at Comply Direct Ltd, responsible for engaging members in environmental legislation and regulation change, informing both internal and external stakeholders on key policy developments within the waste and resources industry and advising on significant impacts, ensuring that Comply Direct is able to pursue the best interests of its 1600+ customers. With a background in data management, packaging consultancy and working with producers to meet their environmental compliance, Martin has a wealth of invaluable environmental policy knowledge and champions industry and customer engagement. His policy role is focussed on highlighting the impacts of upcoming legislation and leading the development of consultation responses on behalf of the business and its customers. In addition, Martin has a personal passion for the Circular Economy which complements his expertise on Producer Responsibility and government measures such as the UK Plastic Tax, ensuring the meaningful, closed-loop advice and solutions which Martin regularly provides to affected organisations. She's CEO of the African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), has been a past guest on this podcast (episode 101), she is a co-star in DCUC's Tony Hernandez's recent podcast (155) and she is the person to see if you want to know how African Americans are faring in credit union c-suites, in boardrooms, and as they stand in teller lines. But, lately. in the DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) universe, her interests are broadening and she is pondering how many minorities (Latinos and women for instance) are succeeding in credit unions.DEI, she says, is not a minute, it's a movement. Indeed. Started amid the despair of last summer - George Floyd RIP - a year into it and the question has to be, what's been accomplished. Sattiewhite tells her opinion in this podcast.Know that progress is getting made. But this is hard, continuing work.A recent project is CCEP - cross-cultural exchange program - where credit union people are pared with another, typically of a different race, possibly a different gender - for a 90 day dialog. A talk with Sattiewhite is lively. She laughs. She mentions people you should know (Pete Crear, Victor Corro -- both past CU 2.0 podcast guests by the way). She also expresses fundamental optimism because, she says, talk with young people (Millennials and Gen X) and "they are not playing around." These young people want change and are unprepared to accept less. For them real racial and gender equality is non negotiable.Listen up.Like what you are hearing? Now don't you wish you had a magic decoder ring? There's an alphabet soup in the podcast title. Let me decipher.DCUC - Defense Credit Union Council, the trade group for some 181 military themed credit unions (and many are behemoths - Navy Fed, Pen Fed, you get the picture).Tony Hernandez is the DCUC CEO, after logging 25 years in the Air Force where he finished as a colonel.AACUC is the African American Credit Union Coalition. You know AACUC because last year the CEO Renee Sattiewhite was a guest on the show. Remember that name because you will hear it frequently in this podcast. As for CCEP that's a new AACUC initiative that has paired people of different backgrounds and often different races for a 90 day interaction.Hernandez is on the steering committee, and he has authored CUInsight blogs explaining the why of CCEP. The first CCEP round comes to a close in July, but the hunt already is on for participants in a new round. Experts debate when the US will become minority majority, meaning whites will no longer be in the majority, but one fact is certain: that day is coming and now is the time to focus on efforts to produce more harmonious race relations, And a big part of that just is talking with people not like us. (Whatever we are.)Along the way in this Hernandez podcast you will hear a great deal about why defense credit unions matter, why they have an ideal membership mix, and how a 25 year Air Force veteran transitioned into the credit union world.Hernandez' personal story is something you didn't expect, from how his wife was instrumental in his getting the DCUC job (never sneer at being a plus one!) to musings about the difficulties in ascending the military ranks ladder.Listen up.Like what you are hearing? Special Guest: Shanna Wendt : Vice President Communications, Coca-Cola European Partners For 20 years, Shanna has worked in international corporate affairs and played a leading role in the communications supporting the merger to create Coca-Cola European Partners in 2016. Today, she leads the communications function at CCEP, and she is transforming communications technology and culture, with a focus on the company's growth strategy, sustainability leadership and employee advocacy. Her team is responsible for all aspects of external and internal engagement, as well as the digital communications strategy. She also provides strategic communications guidance to the executive office. In creating a new internal communications platform, CCEP co-created the solution with its hardest to reach colleagues in field and manufacturing roles. This resulted in Redline, the home of CCEP news and information, designed by colleagues. Redline has changed the way we communicate at CCEP. Colleagues are part of the discussion, empowered to share information, and interact with leaders who are actively present on the platform. Redline has also made a significant difference during COVID-19, creating a sense of community virtually and keeping colleagues connected. This is reflected in colleagues' feedback – in a recent pulse survey on their COVID experience, 78% of respondents rated communications favourably, which is a significant step change from previous colleague surveys. Join us as we discuss creating a sense of community virtually and keeping colleagues connected. Listen Live (Archive Available) Host: Jo Moffatt

This week on The Official OSAP Podcast with Michelle Lee, Michael Williamson JD, CHC, CCEP shares how Pacific Dental Services developed a values-based compliance approach. This unique and effective method elevates behaviors and results in greater self-accountability. It's a process that can be implemented in any sized practice. Episode Highlights Michael's Background PDS Values Paradox of Rules Behavioral Framework Quotes “There was very little of the actual general practice of law that I enjoyed.” “Do what fills you and makes you feel whole and authentic.” “Pacific Dental Services, through the pandemic, has done a great job communicating the messages around dental safety.” “You were able to intertwine compliance into Pacific's values.” “Our values are 200+ words, straight from Stephen Thorne's heart.” “We don't just have a compliance program, we have a compliance and ethics program.” “There is a paradox to rules, the more of them there are, the more you are in essence incenting people to find a way around them.” “We've done extensive work in translating those values into desired behaviors.” “It's not PDS saying ‘this is how you should behave' it's your peers.” “OSAP is compliance nirvana.” “Give your people a reason to go to work.” Links OSAP Virtual Meeting Courses: https://www.dentalcastproductions.com/osap-buy-individual-courses https://www.osap.org/page/DICAMDentalPractices OSAP COVID-19 Resource Page: https://www.osap.org/page/COVID-19 OSAP's homepage: https://www.osap.org/ Michelle Lee's email: mlee@osap.org The Dental Podcast Network Channel One homepage: http://dentalpodcastnetworkchannelone.otcpn.libsynpro.com/

In this episode, Kate Holt talks about having two failed marriages and the real struggle she had getting divorced the second time. She talks about how her fear of abandonment played a roll in trying to desperately hold on to the second marriage, saying to herself 'this has to work'! She talks about the fighting, the tension, the make-ups and break-ups. She shares with us the pain she endured as she began to accept that her marriage was coming to an end. Through out her process she realizes that her marriage became a big part of her identity. She identified more of 'being a wife' than being Kate herself. She exposes her underbelly as she talks about this divorce leading to the image she had of herself being totally shattered. As a result of getting divorced she had to embark on a journey of self-exploration. She talks about discovering limiting beliefs that were holding her hostage, preventing her from realizing just how amazing she really is. She talks about the level of self-responsibility she had to assume - being full responsible for her beliefs, thoughts, feelings, actions and consequences she had to endure. As her self-discovery process unfolded, she was able to fall in love with herself, embracing all of who she is without judgement, contempt, guilt or shame. Kate shifts from having a fear of abandonment to falling in love with herself ... and life! How to Make a Big Shift in Your Life Look at your relationship honestly, even if it's painful.
