Il mondo è stato travolto da “All Too Well” e “Easy On Me” — ma perché nella musica pop le donne si trovano sempre a cantare di relazioni spezzate? La nuova edizione di RED di Taylor Swift, insieme alla versione estesa di “All Too Well,” ha travolto il mondo. Per chi è neofita della cantante del Tennessee e non è mai stato un suo accanito fan, “All Too Well” è una canzone che parla della relazione fra una ragazza che sta per compiere 21 anni e un uomo già trentenne. All'inizio è un tripudio di romanticismo, è autunno, lui la invita dai suoi, ballano nel bel mezzo della notte illuminati solo dalla luce del frigorifero, è tutto bello. Poi però le cose cominciano a non andare più tanto bene e la storia finisce dopo soli tre mesi. Lei ci sta male per mesi, forse anni, ma lui conserva la sciarpa che lei ha dimenticato a casa della sorella. È opinione diffusa che lui sia Jake Gyllenhaal. Nonostante siano passati 11 anni, la canzone ha travolto i social — a partire dalla pagina Instagram di Gyllenhaal. È naturale essere empatici con la storia di Swift, e compartecipare a tutta questa sofferenza emotiva cantata ascoltando il pezzo. Tuttavia, non si può non notare come si tratti di una precisa strategia del personaggio di Taylor: ha costruito una carriera mettendo in musica i suoi insuccessi relazionali — cosa per cui è stata oltremodo criticata. La cantante inglese dopo un silenzio di sei anni è finalmente uscita con il nuovo album “30” anticipato dal singolo “Easy On Me.” Dopo i pianoforti arpeggiati di “Someone like You” e le urla al vento di “Hello,” la cantautrice britannica è tornata a darci un pugno allo stomaco parlando del suo divorzio. Nel videoclip girato da Xavier Dolan dice, fra le tante cose: “Non puoi negare che ci ho provato davvero / Ho cambiato chi ero per metterti al primo posto / Ma ora rinuncio.” Ma quand'è che la smetteremo di avere cantanti donna (sarebbe il caso di menzionare che sono anche etero e bianche) che cantano di quanto sono state deluse dagli uomini? Less than 24 hours after releasing her first single in six years, Adele is already hitting milestones. The British superstar singer, 33, released "Easy On Me" on Thursday, and the song and video will be featured on her fourth album, "30," out Nov. 19. Music streamer Spotify hit Twitter on Friday to congratulate Adele for her single becoming its most streamed song in a single day. "And just like that, Adele set a new record," the tweet says. Actual streaming numbers have not been released. but the Chart Data Twitter account wrote that "Easy on Me" and BTS' "Butter" now share the two biggest Spotify single-day streaming counts, with over 20 million each. Both songs are released on Columbia Records, the memo reads. Some fans pointed out that at the time the Tweet was posted Adele still had some three hours left in the 24-hour period since the record was released.
