While most, over the years, have interacted with our content with charity and respect, even if they disagree, there's always been a gallery of trolls who traffic in insults and profanity and are only interested in taking potshots at the ministry rather than engaging in conversation. So it goes—that's just part of the price of entry into the digital world, especially when evangelization is your goal. The internet culture, however, seems to have taken a dark turn recently. Whatever limited restraint people used to show in their online interactions seems to have evaporated in a toxic cloud of mob-fueling—and mob-fueled—rage, replete with distortions, deceptions, and sometimes even explicit calls for violence. Exacerbated by the rise of the use of AI, bots, and anonymous accounts often based in foreign countries, it is increasingly difficult to know with whom you are engaging online or what their motives are. And sadly, physical threats from online sources are now also something we must take very seriously. So how should we move forward from here? Is it still possible to make evangelical headway in this increasingly noxious online environment? If so, what principles should guide the way? Keeping up with your rent in San Francisco is not for the faint of heart. Online rental services were showing that the average monthly rent for a one bedroom home was more than four thousand dollars, and a two bedroom was averaging at five thousand seven hundred dollars. Housing is a perpetual topic here in the Bay Area and for decades, cities have largely gotten to decide what could be built and where you could build . But over the last few years, California has passed a number of laws trying to shift those decisions to the state.Today, a conversation about the laws that are now coming into effect this month. WUOT combines NPR news with classical and jazz music, much of it still played live from CDs and occasionally from the station’s enormous collection of LPs. Tim gives us a tour of the control room, performance area, technical center, and an extraordinary music library that also includes thousands of historic 78 RPM records. We’ll see one of Tennessee’s earliest Audio over IP installations, built around Axia Livewire technology and operating for about 15 years. Tim also maintains more than 20 analog and digital amateur radio repeater sites throughout East Tennessee. Cuando empezaba a verdear y se formaba la espiga apareció también la cizaña. Entonces fueron los criados a decirle al amo: “Señor, ¿no sembraste buena semilla en tu campo? ¿De dónde sale la cizaña?”. Él les dijo: “Un enemigo lo ha hecho”. Los criados le preguntan: “¿Quieres que vayamos a arrancarla?”. Pero él les respondió: “No, que al recoger la cizaña podéis arrancar también el trigo. Dejadlos crecer juntos hasta la siega y cuando llegue la siega diré a los segadores: arrancad primero la cizaña y atadla en gavillas para quemarla, y el trigo almacenadlo en mi granero”». Les propuso otra parábola: «El reino de los cielos se parece a un grano de mostaza que uno toma y siembra en su campo; aunque es la más pequeña de las semillas, cuando crece es más alta que las hortalizas; se hace un árbol hasta el punto de que vienen los pájaros del cielo a anidar en sus ramas». Les dijo otra parábola: «El reino de los cielos se parece a la levadura; una mujer la amasa con tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo fermenta». Jesús dijo todo esto a la gente en parábolas y sin parábolas no les hablaba nada, para que se cumpliera lo dicho por medio del profeta: «Abriré mi boca diciendo parábolas; anunciaré lo secreto desde la fundación del mundo». Luego dejó a la gente y se fue a casa. Los discípulos se le acercaron a decirle: «Explícanos la parábola de la cizaña en el campo». Él les contestó: «El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del hombre; el campo es el mundo; la buena semilla son los ciudadanos del reino; la cizaña son los partidarios del Maligno; el enemigo que la siembra es el diablo; la cosecha es el final de los tiempos y los segadores los ángeles. Lo mismo que se arranca la cizaña y se echa al fuego, así será al final de los tiempos: el Hijo del hombre enviará a sus ángeles y arrancarán de su reino todos los escándalos y a todos los que obran iniquidad, y los arrojarán al horno de fuego; allí será el llanto y el rechinar de dientes. Entonces los justos brillarán como el sol en el reino de su Padre.
