Mackelly and Simon roll out the barbed wire and start digging the trenches.Chapter Review:In the Old Palace of Sunspear, Areo Hotah watches as Maester Caleotte delivers an ebony chest to Prince Doran Martell. Inside is the skull of Gregor Clegane, which Obara Sand places on a marble pedestal. Doran declares that “the Mountain rides no more.” Ser Balon Swann, there on behalf of Queen Cersei, is made uneasy by the spicy food, the politics, and Princess Arianne's careful attention.Cersei's letter requests that Myrcella visit King's Landing, with Trystane to accompany her and Doran to take Oberyn's seat on the small council. Doran suggests they travel by ship, and Balon's reluctance to travel by sea does not go unnoticed. After the feast, Doran gathers Obara, Nymeria, Tyene, Arianne, Ellaria, and Hotah in his solar. Ellaria breaks at the Sand Snakes' refusal to accept the end of the blood feud with the Lannisters, rejecting the endless cycle of vengeance. When she leaves, the Sand Snakes demand war, but Doran forces them to swear obedience before revealing that Cersei's invitation is a trap meant to kill Trystane on the road. Instead of violating guest right by killing Swann, Doran assigns each Sand Snake a role: Obara will lead Swann to hunt Darkstar, Nymeria will escort Myrcella to court and take the small council seat, and Tyene will infiltrate the Sept of Baelor. Arianne will remain in Sunspear as his heir. As plans move forward, Dorne prepares to strike back its own way.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Areo Hotah - Captain in Prince Doran Martell's service.Prince Doran Martell - Infirmed ruler of Dorne.Princess Arianne Martell - Princess of Dorne. In this episode, Dr. Mariza Snyder discusses her new book, 'The Perimenopause Revolution,' focusing on the often-overlooked stage of perimenopause. The conversation explores the symptoms, challenges, and societal perceptions surrounding perimenopause, emphasizing the need for better understanding and treatment options. Dr. Snyder shares personal experiences, insights into the medical system's approach, and practical self-care strategies for women navigating this transition. She emphasizes the significance of community support, mental health, and advocacy in navigating healthcare challenges. The discussion also covers the pros and cons of telemedicine and hormone replacement therapy, as well as the difficulties women face in finding knowledgeable healthcare providers. The episode highlights the importance of recognizing perimenopause as a natural stage of life rather than a disease, advocating for informed discussions about hormone therapy and lifestyle changes to improve women's health during this time. Ultimately, both Dr. Tassone and Dr. Mariza encourage women to take charge of their health and well-being during this time in their lives. Episode Highlights: Why perimenopause is often misunderstood Why women in perimenopause are often dismissed by the medical community How the traditional medical system frequently fails to provide adequate treatment options for women in perimenopause Self-care strategies, including diet and exercise, that can significantly alleviate perimenopausal symptoms Why tracking your menstrual cycle is crucial for understanding changes during perimenopause Reasons hormone replacement therapy should be part of the conversation for women experiencing severe symptoms Why women need to be proactive in seeking help and understanding their bodies during this transition Dr. Snyder's book aiming to educate women about the symptoms and health implications of perimenopause Reasons quality of life should be prioritized over merely extending lifespan  Why community support is vital during perimenopause How large telemedicine companies offer access but may lack personalization Why finding a knowledgeable provider can be challenging About Dr Mariza Dr. Mariza Snyder is a functional practitioner, women's hormone expert and the author of eight books. With Darrio's return, the queen gives into her desires. Simon and Mackelly ponder whether such lust will make her stronger, or break her reign.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen rides out to witness the Astapori refugees beyond the gates of Meereen. The misery is staggering: starving families, corpses crawling with flies, and the sick defecating where they lie. She orders food distributed and bodies burned, but even as she tries to act mercifully, Ser Barristan warns that resources must be held for the siege to come. Grey Worm requests leave to bathe in the sea after the burning, revealing a religious rite of the Unsullied.Back in the city, Daenerys is reminded of her impending marriage to Hizdahr zo Loraq. The Green Grace and Reznak mo Reznak press her to endure the demeaning rituals required, including an intimate inspection by her groom's kin. She relents to some, knowing her legitimacy in the eyes of Meereen's nobles depends on it. She refuses once more to reopen the fighting pits herself but allows Hizdahr to do so after the wedding. Over dinner, Hizdahr reassures her that such traditions are relics of the past they can sweep aside together.Their talk is interrupted by Daario Naharis' arrival. He is wounded but full of swagger, bringing word that Astapor has fallen and Yunkai gathers a formidable host with new allies. Worse, the Second Sons and Brown Ben Plumm have gone over to the enemy. Daenerys feels betrayed, wondering if this is one of the foretold three treasons. She orders Meereen's gates shut and the defenses readied. Finally, she clears the room and tends to Daario's wounds. The usual naysayers say nay, but Jon is adamant and takes Ghost along for added protection. They find a grove of weirwoods occupied by a sorry gang of refugee wildlings and a giant. Jon avoids bloodshed and the people (and giant) are invited to return to the Wall under their protection. They do - they don't have much choice. Even with a 14ft giant in their ranks they would have been slaughtered, and they'd die of cold and starvation if they didn't.The recruits say their vows, reminding Jon that the words promise to protect the realms of men - nothing about whether those people be born north or south of the Wall.Back at the Wall, a letter from Stannis reports his success at Deepwood Motte and his commitment to face down the Boltons, liberate Winterfell and, if at all possible, save Arya.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Jon Snow - Bastard son of Ned Stark. From the groundbreaking DART trial to the early work of pioneers like Bill Silverman, the authors emphasize not only the science but also the stories, challenges, and human insights that lie behind each study.Whether you are a seasoned neonatologist or just beginning your training, this episode provides a behind-the-scenes look at a project that brings clarity and context to evidence-based practice.

Simon and Mackelly are rooting for him.Chapter Review:Bran Stark starts his training in green-seeing and skin-changing with the three-eyed crow, who we learn is former Lord Commander of the Night's Watch Bryden Rivers. Jojen Reed's health has recovered but he seems resigned to a fate that he won't share with his increasingly concerned sister Meera.Bran continues to use Hodor to explore the cavern system, the big man has taken to curling up in a mental ball when Bran intrudes. In this four-part series (every MONDAY for the next four weeks!) fall in love with Steve and Ginger Hitz, co-authors of 'Igniting the Holy Flame: Building Communities of Love from the Ashes of Negative Religious Culture,' a book inspired by the tragic loss of their son, whose suffering was amplified by a church culture that could not meet him where he was. This book and this podcast series is a plea for further awakening around aspects of church communities that set about to help but instead inadvertently do harm through concepts like 'fabricated fellowship' and 'harmful religiosity'. From Burnout to Bold: How GenX Women Can Reinvent Themselves w/Tina ColemanTina Coleman is the bold voice behind the upcoming book 50 Fabulous and Fuckable, a powerful guide that redefines what it means to be a woman at midlife. Her mission is to empower women approaching 50 and beyond to embrace reinvention, freedom, and unapologetic confidence while stepping into the most vibrant, authentic chapter of their lives. After more than two decades as a licensed massage therapist, Tina's career was abruptly cut short by a car accident. Instead of letting life's hardships define her, she chose to reinvent herself from the ground up. That reinvention began with traveling solo—an experience that opened her eyes to possibility, freedom, and courage. Solo travel became the catalyst that ultimately led her to move abroad, where she continues to embrace transformation and intentional living. Now, Tina shares her journey as living proof that it's never too late to create the life you want. Through her writing, speaking, and coaching, she inspires women to release burnout, overcome the weight of old narratives, and fully own their worth. She speaks openly about the challenges GenX women face—from shifting hormones and energy crashes to feeling invisible in a culture obsessed with youth—and flips the script into one of power, possibility, and abundance.Links:https://beacons.ai/transformbecourageoushttps://www.instagram.com/transform.be.courageous/?igsh=am9hdjVxOXV2d3h4&utm_source=qr#Tags:Author,Book Reviews,Growth Mindset,Midlife,Sobriety,Travel,Weight Loss,Women Empowerment,Writing A Book,From Burnout to Bold: How GenX Women Can Reinvent Themselves w/Tina Coleman,Live Video Podcast Interview,Podcast,InterviewSupport PEG by checking out our Sponsors:Download and use Newsly for free now from www.newsly.me or from the link in the description, and use promo code “GHOST” and receive a 1-month free premium subscription. The best tool for getting podcast guests:https://podmatch.com/signup/phantomelectricghostSubscribe to our Instagram for exclusive content:https://www.instagram.com/expansive_sound_experiments/Subscribe to our YouTube https://youtube.com/@phantomelectricghost?si=rEyT56WQvDsAoRprRSShttps://anchor.fm/s/3b31908/podcast/rssSubstackhttps://substack.com/@phantomelectricghost?utm_source=edit-profile-page
