Republicans: Party of the Working Class; Can You Be a MAGA Lefty?

The Sean Spicer Show

Is there such a thing as a MAGA Lefty? Well Batya Ungar-Sargon is going to fill us in on today's show, she is joined by Steve Cortes and Jenn Pellegrino for an all star Thursday panel. As President Trump reshaped the Republican party with America First policies, the GOP became the party of the working people. President Trump has attracted people like Batya with American worker protectionist, anti-war, and fair trade practice policies. It's a stark contrast to the Bush era Republican party but has not led to a complete party switch as we saw with the Supreme Court election in Wisconsin. So while President Trump has made significant strides, being MAGA does not necessarily mean you are a Republican. Linda McMahon announced that the department of education will start collections on student loans, taking the $1.7 Trillion debt off the taxpayer's back. The Ivy League gets more public money than any other state or public university. Meaning that Americans are investing in universities that are creating little woke radicals and President Trump is taking a stand against the anti-American agenda most of these schools espouse. MAGA media is on the rise as hypocrites like Jake Tapper are now trying to profit of the lie they perpetrated about Biden's mental acuity. President Trump will attend Pope Francis' funeral even with the Pope's previous disagreement with the president on immigration. Like every Thursday, stick around for the winners and losers of the week! Kevin Hassett is the Director of the National Economic Council, on today's show he walks us through everything that happened this week with respect to tariffs and the U.S. economy. As country after country lined-up to make a deal with President Trump, the president put a pause on all tariffs except China. President Trump has now raised the tariffs to 145% in relation to China. Essentially isolating China with the most extreme tariffs set the stage for other countries to decide how they wanted to respond. Hassett says 15 countries or more will come away with a good deal in the coming days and weeks. The turmoil in the bond market settled as the president called for the pause and new treasury bonds were very successfully auctioned off. Hassett walks us down Main St. for American consumers and small business owner as to what they can expect to pay for goods. With 2 outstanding jobs reports and a reduction in inflation, the only question yet to be answered is will China come to the table? After that our all-star panel gives their take on all the movement this week within the Trump administration. We have heard from a few different cabinet members this week, whose messaging is landing the most with Americans? Is President Trump isolating China a perfect execution of the Art of the Deal? As the House and Senate work to hammer down budget reconciliation, President Trump reasserts his America First priorities and how "ONE BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" will, without question, make America great again! President Trump and Elon were sympatico on Hannity, stomping out mumblings on the Left that there is a "who is in charge" tussle between the two. The Left and their lamestream media outlets just can't seem to help themselves and CBS decided to continue its losing streak. Earlier this week it was Margaret Brennan, now it's Tony Dokoupil when he sat down with Senator Tom Cotton. Senator Cotton has been one of the harshest critics of China and Dokoupil looked foolish when he mentioned China wanting to dominate like the U.S. and how crucial DEI is to the overall strength of America. President Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States today. After pointing out the miserably failed road of leftist, woke policies and agendas the Biden administration has taken us down, President Trump painted a new vision for America and her future. The Golden Age of American exceptionalism starts now. Immediately after being sworn in, the CBPone app went offline and stopped accepting applications. Trump declared a national emergency at our southern border, including sending troops and designating cartels as a foreign terrorist organization. He promised to bring back manufacturing jobs, scrap the green new deal, trash the eclectic vehicle mandate and drill, baby drill! The new External Revenue Service will collect tariffs and taxes from foreign nations and import wealth into our country like never before. He promised law and order in a colorblind America with only 2 genders, and individual merit as its standard. His words serviced the dream once held by Martin Luther King Jr. as he vowed to bring peace and be a unifier. It was a breath of fresh air from an utterly corrupt Biden administration, in which, during his final hours, Joe Biden pardoned his entire family, Dr. Fauci, Liz Cheney and General Milley to name a few. We'll spotlight some powerful examples of how settler-led and Indigenous-led organizations are creating better working relationships, and hear from Indigenous leaders on what more the sector needs to do to advance reconciliation work. CharityVillage Resources From This Episode·        CharityVillage Connects: How Bill S-216 Could Transform the Canadian Nonprofit Sector ForeverUpdate: Bill S-216 has now been passed “in essence” via Bill C-19, the Budget Implementation Act. Bill C-19 included measures that changed the “direction and control” requirements that regulate charities who work with non-charities. According to Senator Ratna Omidvar, sponsor of Bill S-216, “These are big and important changes. They provide a path to get rid of the deeply embedded form of systemic racism that was contained in the Income Tax Act. In its place will be strong, accountable and effective partnerships based on mutual respect.”Bill S-216, otherwise known as the Effective and Accountable Charities Act, sought to amend the Income Tax Act to empower charities by allowing them to more effectively collaborate with a wider range of organizations, including those without charitable status, which the Act refers to as “non-qualified donees”. Proponents of the Bill said the amendments were necessary to get rid of burdensome and expensive redtape and outdated legal bureaucracy. But the key shift proposed by Bill S-216 is much more aspirational: to eliminate the deeply-rooted and historic paternalism that many see embedded in the current rules about how charities can operate. In this episode, we speak with Senator Ratna Omidvar, sponsor of Bill S-216, and with other nonprofit sector experts to explore the pros and cons of this legislation, as well as the deeper implications of what it means for Canadian charitable organizations now that it's become law. ·        CharityVillage Connects: Indigenous Leaders Discuss Truth and Reconciliation in the Nonprofit SectorPlease note: This podcast discusses topics that may be distressing and awaken memories of past traumatic experiences and abuse. Support is available for anyone affected by their experience at residential schools or by related reports. The National Indian Residential School Crisis Line provides 24-hour crisis support to former Indian Residential School students and their families toll-free at 1-866-925-4419. Immediate emotional support is available by contacting the Hope for Wellness Help Line toll-free at 1-855-242-3310, or by online chat at hopeforwellness.ca. In this episode, upon the first anniversary of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we'll hear unique perspectives from Indigenous leaders from across Canada on what September 30 means to them, the painful legacy it symbolizes, and how, together, we can hopefully move forward. Underlying these discussions is the role that Canadian nonprofits can play in supporting Indigenous-led charitable activities. Considering that The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada was established over 14 years ago, why has the sector failed to take a more meaningful role in an area where its support could make a real difference? Tune in to this special episode of CharityVillage Connects to hear from Indigenous leaders about how the nonprofit sector can better support, and ally with, Indigenous-led organizations and communities. Additional Resources From This EpisodeWe've gathered the resources from this episode into one helpful list:·        Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action·        Canadian charities giving to Indigenous charities and qualified donees - 2019 (Blumbergs)·        Allowing the Community to Decide for Itself (Toronto Star, 2023)·        Calgary Foundation: Reconciliation·        The Declaration of Action (The Circle)·        McConnell commits $30M in capital transfers to Indigenous-led foundations (2023) ·        National Indigenous Economic Strategy Learn more and listen to the full interviews with the guests here.Mary Barroll, president of CharityVillage, is an online business executive and lawyer with a background in media, technology and IP law. How Bill S-216 Could Transform the Canadian Nonprofit Sector Forever

In our last episode of CharityVillage Connects, which explored alternative revenue streams for nonprofits, we touched on a piece of legislation that, if enacted, could have a dramatic impact on how charities do their work. Bill S-216, otherwise known as the Effective and Accountable Charities Act, seeks to amend the Income Tax Act to empower charities by allowing them to more effectively collaborate with a wider range of organizations, including those without charitable status, which the Act refers to as “non-qualified donees”. Proponents of the Bill say the amendments are necessary to get rid of burdensome and expensive redtape and outdated legal bureaucracy.  But the key shift proposed by Bill S-216 is much more aspirational: to eliminate the deeply-rooted and historic paternalism that many see embedded in the current rules about how charities can operate. In this episode, we speak with Senator Ratna Omidvar, sponsor of Bill S-216, and with other nonprofit sector experts to explore the pros and cons of this legislation, as well as the deeper implications of what it means for Canadian charitable organizations if it becomes law.Meet Our Guests in Order of Appearance ·        The Honourable Ratna Omidvar, Senator for Ontario, The Senate of Canada·        Susan Manwaring, Partner at Miller Thomson LLP·        Cathy Taylor, Executive Director of the Ontario Nonprofit Network·        Mark Blumberg, Partner at Blumberg Segal LLP·        Bill Mintram, Director Indigenous and Northern Relations at Rideau Hall Foundation·        Kris Archie, Chief Executive Officer of The Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada (The Circle)  About your HostMary Barroll, president of CharityVillage, is an online business executive and lawyer with a background in media, technology and IP law. Wow! We're really feeling into some of that Arian energies as we head into Season 2 of the WitchHunt podcast! Our first episode of the season is an interview with Dr. Angela Lauria, who's recently taken on the Goddess name Kali, stepping fully into her embodiment of the Goddess' energy, as she embraces a radical identity shift. Dr. Angela Lauria is an incredible woman and mother and entrepreneur, who I met in person at the StarBucks next to our kids' school in Washington D.C. many moons ago. She is founder of The Author Incubator™ and creator of the Difference Process™ for writing a book that matters. I've watched Angela evolve into a successful 7-figure, then 8-figure entrepreneur and activist over the years. I was most blown away, though, by her most recent pandemic-induced transformation, which led her to establish the Socially Responsible Coaching Alliance — for coaches, consultants, authors, and speakers who want to create a more equitable society by building sustainable businesses that promote environmental, economic, and social justice. One of the reasons I wanted Angela on the podcast was to share the Alliance's new mission. And when I reached out to her, I had no idea of the personal transformation and rebirth that came along with this endeavour. I was blown away! In this episode we talk about evolutionary shifts of masculine and feminine energies in our lives and businesses, and the synonymous call to shift away from polarized black and white thinking towards the messy and unknown navigation of the grey that lies in-between. We talk about mind and heart coherence and how we're witnessing souls (vs brains) taking stronger roles in decision-making. Angela shares so much wisdom. She tells us how she honors destruction as part of the creation process and, related, how she stopped feeling like her own name and sought astrological and numerological guidance in her rebirth and renaming experience — taking on Kali, Hindu Goddess of Destruction, as part of her official identity. She shares her embrace of imperfection, and her be-do-be-do dance. Or, in other words, the importance of BEING who we want to become and not only doing what we need to do as a means of manifesting magic and creating miracles, two concepts, which she differentiates in detail. Angela also shares her struggle with depression, anti-depression medication and how in the end one simple, free, non-medicated, Earth-born ritual that anyone can tune into every single day cured her depression in the end — you'll have to listen to the episode to learn her secret. I can't wait to share Angela's energy with you in this episode! Enjoy!!! xx Alex Connect with Alex. For all those who've been tuning into The Jeff Dornik Show since the beginning, you know that the 2020 Election was stolen. That is not up for debate… it's a matter of fact.During this episode of the show GETTR's Director of Media Affairs, Sonny Joy Nelson, warned that when it comes to election interference, we haven't seen anything yet. With gas prices raging out of control, World War 3 on the horizon and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris showing the world that they are nothing more than bumbling idiots, the only way that they have a shot at holding onto the House and Senate in the 2022 Mid-Terms will be through massive election fraud and interference from Big Tech and the Mainstream Media.“We saw the political oppression leading up to the 2020 Election, everybody knows the Hunter Biden laptop story. Twitter decided that you are not going to post this story, this massive story, three weeks before the election, which was a crucial time. If that is not election interference, I don't know what is. “After the election, I know there was a poll conducted where many people… said they would've changed their vote if they had known about this Hunter Biden laptop story that the New York Post published. We saw Big Tech really getting involved with the presidential election, and they got away with it. They completely got away with it, leading all the way up to them banning President Trump. So if we saw that much interference during the 2020 Election, I can only imagine the interference we're going to see during the 2022 Mid-Terms, because all of the polling is going so far against the Democrats. The American people have made their voices heard and have shown their displeasure with the Democrats that I think there's going to be a massive Red Wave. I'm sure the Big Tech teams are all trying to huddle together to figure out what they can do to stop that from happening in 2022.”The question for me is: Where is the Republican Party? As I've stated repeatedly on my show, I expect the Democrats to lie, cheat and steal in order to win. That's a given. The GOP, however, is supposed to be there to defend our Constitutional Rights. If it weren't for our own party working against us during the 2020 Election, the Dems wouldn't have gotten away with stealing the election from Donald Trump. We know that election interference is going to continue. Expect more censorship from Big Tech, more stories suppressed that tell the truth about the Biden Regime and more direct violation of the law to steal the election. Are our elected officials going to do anything about it… or just continue with their business-as-usual attitude which will lead to the utter destruction of America? Only time will tell. With gas prices out of control due to Joe Biden's deliberate moves to force us to be dependent upon Russian oil before cutting us off altogether, it can only be expected for inflation to become out of control. Angela is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best-selling author of 5 books. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in Journalism and Media Affairs from The George Washington University and a PhD in Communications from The European Graduate School and lives in Washington DC.   LEADERSHIP INSIGHTS Your job description should be a love letter to one person. You will attract fewer people but will attract people who are more willing to invest in you. In a job description, describe the candidate: Who the perfect person is for the role, and what the job would do for the person beyond a paycheck. Your business must stand for something in order to attract employees who will be committed. Match a job description that underscores what is important to your ideal employee at that stage in their life.    QUESTIONS TO INSPIRE US TO ACTION What is some lesson, saying, or experience that continues to influence your leadership to this day? Be willing to suck! Use three descriptors to finish this sentence: “A leader is…” Flexible, confident, and courageous. What is a question that leaders should be asking either themselves or others? If I were committed to being the best in the world at what I do, what would I be doing now? What book would you recommend to leaders? The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level by Gay Hendricks If you could get every listener to start doing something THIS week to help them be a better leader, what would it be? Pick on thing. As a general life principle, is it better to ask “why?” or “why not?” “Why not?” To be out of the box, you need to ask forgiveness rather than permission.   CONNECT WITH ANGELA Twitter: https://twitter.com/authorincubator (@authorincubator) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/authorincubator/ (@authorincubator) Website: http://www.TheAuthorIncubator.com (http://www.TheAuthorIncubator.com)   CONNECT WITH JOSH LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/joshuafriedeman (@joshuafriedeman) Instagram: https://instagram.com/joshuafriedeman (@joshuafriedeman) Email: josh@friedemanleadership.com   Want a FREE list of weekly action steps to improve your leadership? What You Need to Know is the power of the Narrative Machine is growing! Narrative Machine is Big Tech, Big Media, & Big Government. The expansion of Big Government into the role of enforcing the narrative is growing every day. The Department Of Defense has started a group targeting Americans and they are staffed by total lefties. Recently 124 generals and admirals were mocked instead of respected when they expressed concern over the direction our country is going. They wrote a letter expressing their concern that government is being used against We the People. Let's be thankful for these men and women who are willing to stand up against Big Government! Bridget VanMeans, President/Vision Leader for ThriVe St. Louis, gives an update on what they've been up to in the last year. Bridget explains the importance of meeting women right where they are and being willing to help them. Thrive St. Louis is now using telehealth and it's been a game-changer in the last year! Check out ThriveAliveSTL.org.  Lauren Bowman, Director of Media Affairs for Public Interest Legal Foundation, discusses H.R. 1/ S. 1 bill and election integrity and how there are currently not enough votes to pass this bill. Lauren gives a laundry list of why this bill would not be good if it passed — It would fundamentally transform the relationship between the states and the federal government. It would strip the states of their rights to structure and run their own elections. It's a power grab for the democrats to keep themselves in power and to protect their majority. These are just a few reasons why this bill would be bad. Be sure to go to PublicInterestLegal.org to check out their work.  Wrap Up: Stop talking to media that hate us! Becket Adams: Republicans Are Insane To Engage With Left-Wing Media Outlets. Don't bother going on the left-leaning sights, or tv, It's not worth the trouble. We should bemoan the loss of the media, it's devastating for our country. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
