Desde menospreciar los síntomas del paciente, pasando por la obsesión con el trauma, el uso excesivo de técnicas, hasta llegar a esa necesidad narcisista de creernos salvadores, nos adentramos en una mirada crítica pero constructiva hacia el ejercicio clínico. Este episodio no es un manual, ni una guía definitiva. Es más bien una desiderata, una lista de cosas que queremos observar con más conciencia, aunque sigamos equivocándonos en el camino. Porque de eso también va la terapia: de reconocer la sombra sin necesidad de eliminarla, de acompañar sin pretender salvar. Reflexionamos sobre la importancia de: Escuchar y dar espacio real a los síntomas, que a menudo son el centro del malestar del paciente. Evitar simplificar todo a un trauma oculto y mágico que lo explique todo. Entender que las técnicas no salvan, sino que ayudan si se aplican con sentido y contexto. Cuestionar nuestras propias fantasías como terapeutas y los modelos que intentamos imponer. Abandonar el rol de “gurú” para convertirnos en guías humanos, falibles, acompañantes del dolor del otro. Poner en el centro la relación terapéutica, como base de cualquier proceso de transformación emocional. Este episodio no solo es una invitación a la reflexión, sino también una herramienta para repensar cómo estamos acompañando a quienes vienen a consulta. Porque la psicología no es una fórmula perfecta, es una relación imperfecta entre dos personas que se atreven a mirar el sufrimiento de frente.
