Kanye West says he's sorry. And I forgive him.I first wrote about West's antisemitic rants in 2022, when he began engaging with the world of antisemitism. And, in some narrow ways, I defended him: I pleaded with people to accept that some of the stereotypes he was calling out were actually tied to realities we should discuss, that we can explain the overrepresentation of “The Jews” — my people — in the entertainment industry, while also calling out West when his ranting tipped into paranoia and conspiracy. In the months and years since, West — who now goes by Ye — has been using increasingly unhinged language. His reality has become more and more divorced from the one you and I share. He apologized in 2023, then took it back; by 2025, he was back to posting Nazi propaganda on social media, selling merchandise adorned with swastikas, and dropping club anthems lionizing Hitler. His social media activity made clear that he was either all the way down the rabbit hole or in the depths of a mental crisis, and following him went from angering to amusing to alarming. I stopped defending him and started blaming him for the rise in antisemitism among his fans, and more broadly for the normalization of antisemitism across our culture. We kick off FOLLOW UP by checking in on Elon Musk's personal dumpster fire, where the EU is investigating Grok for deepfake slop while Tesla's “unsupervised” robotaxis turned out to be supervised by literal chase cars — shocker. At least some of you are getting Siri settlement crumbs in your bank accounts, though you could probably double it betting against Musk's worthless promises on Polymarket.Transitioning to IN THE NEWS, Tesla is killing off the Model S and X to build robots while sales crater, proving that mixing hard-right politics with EV sales is a brilliant move for the balance sheet. Meanwhile, the corporate bloodbath continues with massive layoffs at Ubisoft, Vimeo (courtesy of the Bending Spoons buzzsaw), and Amazon, because “removing bureaucracy” is apparently HR-speak for 16,000 families losing their livelihoods. If that's not enough, Google is settling yet another privacy suit for $135 million, the EU is threatening to weaponize its tech sovereignty against the US, and the Trump administration wants Gemini to write federal regulations—because if there's one thing we want drafting airline safety rules, it's a hallucinating chatbot.Still IN THE NEWS, Waymo is under federal investigation for passing school buses and hitting children, while South Korea's new AI laws manage to please absolutely no one. Record labels are suing Anna's Archive for a cool $13 trillion—roughly three times the GDP of India—and the Winklevoss twins have finally admitted that NFTs are dead by shuttering Nifty Gateway. We pivot to MEDIA CANDY, where the Patriots and Seahawks are heading to Super Bowl 60, and the Winter Olympics are descending on Milan. We're doing the math on the Starfleet Academy timeline, celebrating the return of Ted Lasso and Shrinking, and trying to decide if Henry Cavill is the second coming of Timothy Dalton in the Highlander reboot. Plus, Jessica Jones is back in the Daredevil: Born Again trailer, and Colin Farrell's Sugar is returning to explain that wild noir twist we all totally saw coming. In APPS & DOODADS, the TikTok Armageddon is upon us as the new US owners break the app and drive everyone to UpScrolled, while Native Instruments enters insolvency, leaving our music-making dreams in restructuring limbo. Apple is dropping AirTag 2 with precision finding for your watch, which is great for finding the keys you lost while doom-scrolling.We wrap up with THE DARK SIDE WITH DAVE, featuring the new Muppets trailer and Steve Whitmire's deep thoughts on the state of the felt, plus a look at the artisans in Disneyland Handcrafted. Finally, Looney Tunes finds a new home on Turner Classic Movies, proving that the classics never die—they just move to a cable channel your parents actually watch. Dave finally learns about the Insta360 camera, a countertop dishwasher but no Animal Crackers, and a guide to gas masks and googles... for no particular reason.Sponsors:DeleteMe - Get 20% off your DeleteMe plan when you go to JoinDeleteMe.com/GOG and use promo code GOG at checkout.SquareSpace - go to squarespace.com/GRUMPY for a free trial. Episode 86 marks the long‑awaited return of the She Said It First Podcast after a much‑needed hiatus, with Jerrilyn and Lynee’ diving immediately back into their signature blend of humor, honesty, and cultural commentary. The two open by catching up on life, reflecting on mental and physical health, and laughing about the level of restraint it takes not to say everything on your mind. From there, they shift into a fiery discussion on recent political and social issues—especially the impact of ICE, the failures of elected officials, and the emotional exhaustion of watching injustice unfold. Their chemistry is undeniable, and listeners can feel how much they missed each other as they bounce between venting, affirming, and cracking each other up. The conversation then pivots to pop culture, with the hosts giving their unfiltered thoughts on Kanye West’s public apology, accountability, and how mental health is often weaponized instead of genuinely addressed. They weave in commentary on relationships, gender expectations, and personal growth—sharing both comedic takes and deeply vulnerable insights. As always, their storytelling is raw, real, and laced with relatable tangents, from dog mom life to TV obsessions like Sinners and Sex and the City. By the time they wrap up, the episode feels like a release—full of laughter, righteous frustration, and heartfelt reminders to protect your peace, choose your circle wisely, and value the people who truly support you. Episode 86 is a perfect comeback: grounded, chaotic in the best way, and packed with the kind of candid conversation only Jerrilyn and Lynee’ can deliver. Ep 139First, Cole reacts to the recent incident involving DJ Akademiks and asks the real question: was this random, or was he set up? From label money and industry relationships to questions about journalistic integrity, Cole examines whether Akademiks can still be seen as an independent voice in hip-hop media — and why this moment matters. Then, Cole dives into Kanye West's latest apology letter. What did it really say? And more importantly, should fans believe it? Looking at Kanye's history of public apologies and repeated controversies, Cole explains why words aren't enough anymore — and why real accountability has to come through consistent action. This episode isn't about canceling anyone. It's about standards, credibility, and protecting the culture.
Who would have thought a documentary about Melania Trump would under-perform at the box office? Oh, that's right - everybody. Acc and Jack dive into this new Brett Ratner-directed documentary, which is expected to make a mere sliver of its production and marketing budget at the box office. Also discussed in this episode of The Acc and Jack Show: People either really love or really hate the band Geese's performance on Saturday Night Live. Kanye West apologizes for his antisemitic behavior, blaming his actions on bipolar disorder. Sydney Sweeney drops lingerie line, Andy Dick out of rehab, Real World Puck resurfaces, Bill Burr's flailing podcast, more Blake Lively v. Justin Baldoni beef, and Corey Feldman doesn't know the Beatles. Drew declared himself the Mayor of T**ty City. Andy Dick is out of rehab and totally fixed. We dominate the Markleverse. Some people are saying Me-Me-Meghan Markle faked her pregnancies. Minneapolis is a mess. We were just wondering what David ‘Puck' Rainey was up to recently. He's turned up and is a TikTok “Chef” now. We watch Puck's highlights from The Real World: San Francisco. The Beckham family are at it again and we're all sick of it. Harry Styles is still cranking out new music. You'll have to shell out $1,000 to see him live though. Neil Young is not happy with Amazon. He's gifting his music catalog to Greenland. Anyone actually going to watch Melania Trump's movie? Ludacris, Morgan Wade and Carter Faith bailed on Kid Rock's tour. Sydney Sweeney has a new lingerie line out. She's in trouble for a bra-stunt on the Hollywood sign. Bill Burr's podcast is becoming laughable. Not necessarily funny, but laughable. The mainstream media doesn't seem to be all in on the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni beef like Drew. Taylor Swift feels totally violated by the whole thing. Corey Feldman performed at the NAMM Jam Night and we're here for it. Kanye West has a new album coming out… which is probably why he's so sorry to the Jews. Dirty Dancing is dumping a sequel on us. The family of Neil Diamond impersonator Mike Sardina aren't too happy with Kate Hudson's Oscar nomination. Erik Martindale will NOT treat MAGA patients. Kristen Stewart has had it with the United States. James Cameron is bailing on the US as well. Merch can still be purchased. Click here to see what we have to offer for a limited time. So, we dive into TikTok astrology, short-form vertical content (bad acting, but with clothes on), the annoying 2016 photo trend, Kanye's apology, and Wells' ongoing fashion evolution (one word: layer). Your host also shares why he felt compelled to speak out about what's happening in Minnesota in a post and the disturbing comments that followed. A sign of the times, that's for sure. In this episode of Selective Ignorance, Mandii B is joined by super producer A-King, journalist Jayson Rodriguez, and Jason “Jah” Lee for a wide-ranging, culture-forward conversation that blends humor, critique, and social commentary. The episode opens with reflections on a recent winter storm and the collective panic it caused, including questionable food preparation decisions and general storm-time ignorance [00:00–05:05]. From there, the discussion pivots into the evolving creator economy, unpacking what true ownership looks like through the lens of Kevin Hart’s licensing deal and Kavi Lamay’s groundbreaking AI digital twin, raising the question of whether everyone — and everything — is ultimately for sale [26:32]. The energy shifts as the crew dives into the lucrative and often-overlooked power of advertising jingles, sparked by a viral Dr. Pepper jingle that earned its creator a major payout, leading into a hilarious, improvised jingle-creation challenge that showcases the hosts’ chemistry and creativity [41:11–42:41], while also examining the fine line between catchy marketing and provocative advertising [47:22]. Balancing the fun with heavier topics, the conversation turns toward literacy and media access in prisons and why storytelling and education still matter behind bars [52:44], followed by a nuanced breakdown of Kanye West’s recent apology and how public perception, accountability, and redemption play out in real time [58:03]. The episode closes with a candid discussion on relationship dynamics, centered around Cam’ron and his ex, exploring communication, ego, and emotional maturity in modern relationships [01:11:39]. Altogether, the episode captures Selective Ignorance at its best — blending sharp humor, cultural critique, and thoughtful dialogue about ownership, media, and accountability in today’s attention economy. Possible signs of easing tensions in Minnesota following the fatal shooting of anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti, as President Trump dispatches Border Czar Tom Homan and federal leadership changes begin to take shape. A deadly winter storm tightens its grip nationwide, as brutal cold, mass power outages, and travel chaos coincide with a private jet crashing during takeoff in Maine, killing all aboard. Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez strikes a defiant tone toward Washington, even as her continued hold on power appears dependent on cooperation with the Trump administration. Rapper Kanye “Ye” West issues another public apology for his antisemitic behavior, citing a severe manic episode tied to bipolar disorder and an undiagnosed brain injury. If you've ever thought, “There's no way people are that mad about a commercial,” congratulations — this episode of The Rizzuto Show daily comedy podcast is here to prove you wrong. Matthew McConaughey teams up with Uber Eats, says the word “food” approximately 900 times, and suddenly fans are threatening boycotts like it's a political scandal. Welcome to modern outrage. This episode spirals immediately into everything you didn't know you needed today: debates about why German sounds angry, capybaras being weirdly adorable, and Arnold Schwarzenegger officially returning to the Predator universe — causing a measurable spike in global testosterone. Science can't explain it. We can. Then there's Kanye West, who just happens to issue a heartfelt apology for past behavior right before dropping a new album. Timing is everything. Is it sincere? Is it PR? Does anyone even care anymore? The crew breaks it all down with just the right amount of skepticism and side-eye.Things get even messier with Bert Kreischer's wildly inappropriate family sitcom, a free-solo climber scaling a skyscraper while America stress-texts each other, and Tyra Banks being retroactively questioned for her iconic (and unhinged) America's Next Top Model moments. Add in Jason Biggs explaining American Pie to his kid, Sydney Sweeney climbing the Hollywood sign in a bra, and a legendary porno birthday — and suddenly this funny podcast feels like therapy… but louder. If you want a funny podcast packed with celebrity chaos, pop culture commentary, sarcastic humor, and daily comedy show energy straight from St. Louis, this episode delivers exactly what your algorithm secretly wants.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOMatthew McConaughey has NFL fans up in armsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
