In a Hog Pod first, this episode was recorded live on location at Tusker's Tavern in Fayetteville, bringing fans face-to-face with the energy of the show. Host Bo Mattingly sits down with Razorback baseball assistant coach Bobby Wernes for an unforgettable conversation that spans his playing days, coaching career, and the life-changing moments that brought him to Arkansas. Wernes shares the incredible story of how a random encounter at a Christian sports camp in Branson led to an offer from legendary coach Dave Van Horn — a moment he credits as divine intervention. He opens up about the misery of junior college baseball, nearly quitting the sport altogether, and how perseverance reshaped his future. The conversation dives into his transition from standout third baseman for the Hogs (2014–2015) to minor league pro, and eventually to a coaching role that now has him manning third base once again — this time from the coach's box. Wernes also discusses the intensity of coaching at Arkansas, the quirks of sending runners home, and the overwhelming pride he feels working under Van Horn.
In this week's edition of the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas Podcast, we're in Fayetteville at Calle Latin Cuisine interviewing chef Fernando Castillo. But before we hear from him?!?! FOOD NEWS!! Onyx will open a shared space in the Fayetteville Square, and they'll be serving much more than drinks. Brightwater officially opens its artisanal butchery program and butcher shop. We'll hear from Butchery Instructor Travis McConnell. Mermaids has locked in a new spot in Rogers. We'll tell you where that is. Roll and Fold in Rogers has closed, but is open under a new concept. Ryn in Bentonville will do a documentary, and you can get involved. The Fat Chef MAY not be closing after all, but several things have to go right. They're popping bottles at Tusker's Tavern in Fayetteville Calle Latin Cuisine in Fayetteville will be a year old in April. Owner and Executive Chef Fernando Castillo is originally from Puebla, Mexico, and at the age of 20, decided to move with a friend to New York- he'll tell you why. Also, why did he end up coming to Fayetteville from New York? It wasn't as popular a destination in the early 2000's. On the food side of things, he'll talk about his influences, including stealing a recipe from his Ecuadorian wife. Kind of. That's in this edition of the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas.

On this week's edition of the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas podcast, we talk with Todd and Marti Martin. They own Theo's in Fayetteville and Rogers, the East Side Grill, Tuskers Tavern and the Southern Food Company, which was their first restaurant. Before that interview, we hear from Odd Soul owner Jeffro Brown about something that they have going on this week. On Thursday, they'll be starting campaigns to pre-buy pizzas for those in the area that aren't as fortunate. They'll also be hosting a fundraiser to help erase one school's lunch debt. Again, it happens tomorrow, Thursday November 21st from 5 to 9 at the Odd Soul in downtown Springdale. And there's something going on tonight (if you're listening to this on Wednesday, November 20th)! Callisto in Bentonville is having their grand opening from 4 to 11pm. 10% of all proceeds will go to Gather to Scatter- a non-profit committed to gathering community resources and extending them to those in need. Would absolutely recommend getting reservations as it's already a very popular place! Now back to Marti and Todd Martin. They're retirees, but they're not old. In fact, they might be busier now than they were before retiring. They met at the UofA, got married and had 3 girls. They'll talk about their professional careers and how they ended up back in Fayetteville. And why the restaurant business? The answer may not be what you think. As their first restaurant, how did they get the Southern Food Company off the ground with no restaurant experience? They'll talk about that. Todd and Marti bought both Theo's locations and the East Side Grill during Covid. How and why?? There's a pretty good answer. Finally, why did they open Tuskers Tavern right behind East Side Grill? Some fun stories with Todd and Marti Martin, next, here on the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas!

Robert Lochiam is one of those guides who I know I need to interview after just a few hours together. I was excited to visit a new lodge in an important area for conservation in Kenya and Robert, who goes by his surname, Lochiam, showed us just how vital the area is to the "Super Tuskers": the elephants around Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro whose tusks often drag on the ground, and to all the other animals coexisting beside them. In our chat by the pool at the new Angama lodge, you will hear of how a rhino led the charge (pun intended!) on his career as a guide, and how his passion for helping preserve wild spaces for Africa's animals only grows stronger the more he knows - which is already a lot! Jason Heaton, everyone's favourite diving watch guy, is back! Last time we had the pleasure of Heaton's dulcet tones in our ears, he was talking about his debut novel Depth Charge. Now he's back with a brand new novel: Sweetwater. Sweetwater sees the return of Tusker, the marine archaeologist, but now the action is a bit closer to home: the icy waters of Lake Superior. What hasn't changed, though, is Heaton's brisk adventure thriller tone, which sees the action coming on thick and fast, with the political intrigue as murky as the depths. We don't dive into too many spoilers with Jason, but we do find out how this novel is different to his first, just how much of Tusker is recognisably Jason, and more. Of course, we also chat about the rest of Jason's life, from dipping his toes back into watches and how the impossibly cool podcast, The Grey NATO, is going from strength to strength. And before all that, we chat about why Zodiac nails the creative use of colour. This episode is sponsored by Zodiac. Find out about their watches here, or if you're in Australia, check them out online and in person at Time+Tide. Want to talk about how cool Jason is? Join our Discord. The question? Are there only 40 ‘big Tusker' elephants left in Africa. To answer, we need to define what a big tusker is - which is an Elephant typically defined as a 90 for 100 pound elephant for one tusk. The simple answer is, nobody has data for how many ‘Big Tuskers' there are on the African continent today. Statistically speaking, though, there should be more than 40. Protege Effect Vol 40 - Amapiano Location Tusker Oktoberfest by Capital FM
When it comes to sports, the conversation is largely based on football, basketball, tennis, formula 1 and other physically involved activities. Here in Kenya, track and field events have been the major sporting events covered and appreciated by a large audience. Today we look at a different kind of sport, E-Sports. According to the records, the first E-Sports competition was held in 1972 at Stanford University. I would love to go on about all that was involved but I'll do you one better and add a link to the article once this episode is uploaded. After all, you're here to hear about how the Kenyan scene is. Before the pandemic, gaming parlours and competitions had begun pulling in large crowds and the parlours were even lauded as one of the more profitable businesses for budding entrepreneurs. It was through this that the E-Sports Federation of Kenya was formed. The competitions themselves brought to light a new form of income for the youth and players like Queen Arrow represented the country in more than one international competition. In terms of returns, the gaming parlours provided a lot of young people a better way to spend their time other than being involved in vices and other unnecessary habits. They also got to earn, well not all of them, the winners only – I don't think participation trophies count when you lose 5 – 0 in FIFA. By 2021 the financial projections claimed that the industry would be worth over 50 million Kenya shillings. On today's show, we speak with the Head of E-Sports at Jiwe Sports Eugene Mweri. He is also a mental health advocate and a broadcast journalist. We look at how the scene has evolved in the past few years, the Tusker nexters and other E-Sport competitions as well as get to know other projects he has been involved in.FEATURED MUSIC 1. There's a lot of looking back in this episode. Kinda weird how that turns out sometimes. What are we looking back at? Our favourite butch-femme pairings, the age gap romance discussion from the previous episode, and the evergreen Evelyn Hugo discussion. Kris and Tara also pose the impossible question: is Stanley Tucci the Toni Collette of men…OR is Toni Collette the Stanley Tucci of women? If you enjoy this episode, please consider buying Kris & Tara a Ko-fi! Transcript coming soon Official Recommendations This week, Kris recommends the film Supernova (2020). Sam and Tusker are traveling across England in their old RV to visit friends, family and places from their past. Since Tusker was diagnosed with dementia two years ago, their time together is the most important thing they have. Kris reflects on how representation doesn't always have to be happy, that it's important to showcase the difficult and sad realities of losing someone you love to dementia. Tara recommends Truth and Measure by Roslyn Sinclair. What began life as a 300K word Devil Wears Prada fanfic has been reborn as a superb duology, The Carlisle Series. 1. The Night Sky 2'32” 2. Losing Tusker 1'58” 3. The Lake 2'29” 4. The Road To Lilly's 2'36” 5. A Slient Drive 4'07” 6. Stargazing 1'33” 7. Let Me Be With You 3'02” 8. Supernova 3'53” 9. The film stars Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, and is in cinemas now. It is deep Autumn and Sam and Tusker, partners of twenty years, are on holiday. They are traveling across England in their old campervan visiting friends, family, and places from their past. Since Tusker was diagnosed with young-onset dementia two years ago their lives have had to change. Jobs have been given up and plans put on hold. Their time together is now the most important thing they have. As the trip progresses, however, their individual ideas for their future begin to collide. Our latest guests on Soundtracking are actor, writer and director Harry Macqueen and musician Keaton Henson, who makes his first foray into film scoring for Harry's deeply moving road movie, Supernova. Starring Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth, Supernova tells the story of a gay couple who travel to the Lake District - after Stanley's character Tusker has been diagnosed with early onset dementia. Given he's a film score newbie, Keaton has done a magnificent job with the music. And there are plenty of classy needle-drops too, including tracks by Dalton, Bowie and Waits. Enjoy!

Harry Macqueen trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, before turning to filmmaking in 2013. His acting credits include Richard Linklater's Me and Orson Welles and the hit British TV show Eastenders. Supernova is his second feature film as a writer-director. “From the outset, my desire was to make an empowering, powerful, challenging, and timely film about what we are willing to do for the people that we love,” Harry says. Supernova stars Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, as partners of twenty years, who are taking a road trip across England. Following a life-changing diagnosis, their time together has become more important than ever until secret plans test their love like never before. “Supernova is the result of a lengthy and immersive research process. Over a three-year period, I worked closely with the U.K.’s leading dementia specialists at UCL and The Wellcome Trust and collaborated with many individuals and families affected by the condition,” Harry explains. “I have spent time with people who have since died both from dementia and suicide – in secret and in public – and seen the fallout from that first-hand.” Through this process, Macqueen zeroed in on the exact condition Tucci’s character, Tusker, would be experiencing, and where we would meet him on his journey. “He has what’s called Posterior Cortical Atrophy, or PCA,” Macqueen says. “That’s a young-onset type of dementia where people experience a progressive decline in vision and/or literacy skills, but often preserve their memory in early stages. Outwardly, Tusker’s life seems pretty normal most of the time, but inwardly he’s being slowly and absolutely unraveled by his condition.” Don't forget to subscribe, download, and review to share your thoughts about the show! Supernova is the moving story of Sam (Colin Firth) and Tusker (Stanley Tucci), who after Tusker’s dementia diagnosis travel across England in an RV to visit family, friends and places from their past. For Writer-Director Harry Macqueen, an enormous amount of research went into ensuring he did justice to the subject of dementia. “I think the key thing for writing this script really was several years of spending time with people who were living with this kind of dementia… Not only did I learn a huge amount about the medical side of dementia and the biology of it… but also, very, very importantly, the human element of it.” Harry discusses his writing process, how to develop complex characters while maintaining simplicity of narrative, and how important it is to have a close group of friends you can share your work in progress with. “I really think that filmmaking and scriptwriting is not about ego at all… it's about taking responsibility for the project, [and] for the script.” Supernova is now available on VOD.

“In downturns of any sort there are huge opportunities and those that are brave and bold will come out far stronger than if they didn’t have the downturn at all. Winners are created in downturns.” Jon Lerner, Smedvig Capital Earlier this month we had the pleasure of speaking to Managing Director at Smedvig Capital (https://www.smedvigcapital.com/) , Jon Lerner. Since 1996 Smedvig Capital has partnered with and helped scale over 70 companies in the UK and Nordics. In this episode Jon shares an honest insight into the inner workings of Smedvig Capital on a regular day compared to the current situation, and how he believes Covid-19 will accelerate the progress of certain tech industries and create flexible working possibilities.

RUN This week, we recap our 10K race at Walt Disney World in Orlando. RunDisney knows how to do it right. The course had some key changes this year that we will discuss plus our race strategy, weather, and the beautiful medal. Would we do it again? Of course, because it is the first half marathon we ever did together and it has a special place in our hearts. Would we recommend it? Yes! If anyone is looking to get into running and accomplishing their first big race, this weekend has a 5k, 10k, and half marathon distance, it is one of the most friendly courses with the most support around. EAT We sampled flavors from the Donut Box, Africa, China, Canada, and Ireland during this trip to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. By far our favorites were Canada and Ireland. Canada had their famous Cheddar and Bacon Soup with a Pretzel Roll that we had to compare against Ireland’s Warm Irish Cheddar and Stout Dip with Irish Brown Bread. DRINK We toasted our accomplishments with tasty beverages from the Donut Box, Africa, China, and Ireland during this trip to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. We had both beer and cocktails at the festival, but I think the beer offerings were by far my favorite, including Tusker from Africa that we sampled at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the past as well as Brehon Brewhouse Killanny Red Ale from Ireland and both are excellent examples of light and refreshing beverages perfect for an outdoor festival in Florida. THAT’S A WRAP Thank you so much to Hilton Bonnet Creek for hosting us during this race weekend! Their Marathon Weekends package is not to be missed! Introducing Beer Christianity - the podcast of faith, hops and love. The opening episode features an exclusive interview with Noam Chomsky from a few years ago that is still depressingly relevant, as well as some lone beer-sipping and musing from host and former Baptist Times 'news communist', Jonty Langley. With the aid of a bottle of Tusker (a tasty Kenyan beer), Jonty talks about what you can expect from Beer Christianity - a progressive Christian podcast with a sense of humour and a strong drink ethic. It's a pubcast, really. Enjoy.

This month's patron-sponsored story is "Arvent4299" by R. Tusker, read by Violet Jade. "Arvent4299. That's my access password," said N-04, her synthesized voice not betraying a hint of nervousness. Her client nearly spat out his drink in response, not expecting a serious answer to his question. "Wait, hang on. That's a joke, right? You're joking." Her client chuckled, setting his stein on the bar counter. "Let me guess. I try to hack you with that password and it'll blow up my tablet. Or it's actually your kill code and you'll go 'Destroy All Humans' on me." N-04 frowned, the glare of her faintly glowing eyes cutting through the murkiness of the lounge. "The assumption that all synths have a kill code has caused an undue amount of stress for human-synth relations. I gave you my access password, and I will revoke it if you continue to act so foolishly. Or if you’re not bold enough to use it." N-04 sat and watched the TV as the client paused and tentatively pulled out his tablet. Porn was on. There was never anything but porn on in these hookup lounges. All things considered, this side gig could have been worse. The pay was decent, and the benefits were amazing, with free access to a human-synth relations agent, subsidies for maintenance costs, and access to a server for mind-uploading. All you had to do is bend over and let corporate perverts with more money than charm have their way with you. Technically, all a client paid for was your company for the evening, but the more of yourself you gave up, the better the payout, as long as client uses what you offer. Most synths stick to the baseline, some light conversation and maybe a handie, but N-04 had aspirations, and aspirations need more than 14 credits an hour. "Holy shit," her date whispered, breaking her line of thought. "I'm in." "Took you long enough. You have access to most of my operating system. You can change whatever you wish, do whatever suits what fantasies lie in that little head of yours. As long as you don't break the the terms of the contract you signed with Escortcorp. So nothing against the law, no messing up my clothing, and no denting my chassis." The client looked back and forth between N-04 and his tablet, his bemusement clear on his face. "Why?" he finally sputtered out. "Because it's either this, cancelling this appointment or listening to you blather on about fantasy football all night. This is the only route that actually seems fun." She smiled cattily. These sort of nights always went better when she poked fun at the client. Always getting mad, going overboard and getting hit with a massive bill. "So go on. Dominate me. Impress me." The client scowled and began to frantically peck away at his tablet, his bemusement turning into indignation. After a few moments, N-04's arm locked at the elbow and jerked roughly upwards, then downwards. "So, this is your fetish, huh?" she quipped. "You must like your handjobs super intense." "Do you mind?" he growled. "I'm testing the movement controls." "If it took you that long to pull that off, I should probably go home. By the time you figure out how to really fuck me up, it'll be--" N-04 was cut off as the client, roughly controlling one limb at a time, managed to force her body off of the bar stool and stand it up. She sneered at him as he locked her into a pseudo T-pose and rotated her. Leering at the hot pink minidress and nylons - the standard uniform for greeters at her actual job- and the curvy body of metal, plastic and synthflesh that lay beneath. "You done twirling me around like a Barbie?" she sniped. The client grinned and pressed a few buttons. Slowly, N-04 bent over the bar, her dress riding up her hips until the bottom of her underwear, a pink thong, came into view. He brushed his hand against her ass tentatively and a shock ran through her body.

It's been a while between solo episodes, so while Scott was in Montreal for the launch of our latest collab beer with L'Espace Public (Dreamsequel, a blackberry blueberry milkshake sour), we figured we'd get in a podcast focused on cellaring beer (and catching up with Scott). Running through the Dos and Don'ts and best practices of cellaring, we cracked a couple unique beers from Cee's cellar and got into it. Cheers! Contest Email/WoW Minis and Episode 100 Lunar Festival until Feb 12th What We've Been Doing: Aprillian Cabana Chat - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opM49V9Fa6Q I feel like I blossomed in Nagrand Mithril spurs helps Auruk keep up with the DK's, had the twins and Auruk in Nagrand doing a lot of quests. They got some good upgrades and both dinged 66 The servers were down on Friday morning but came back up a little after one. I was doing a disk repair on an external drive on the iMac so I was only on one computer. I felt bad leaving Auruk out, but I took the twins to do [Wanted: Zorbo the Advisor]. Of course the XP is better without Auruk. Ending up sticking around the Warmaul area grinding for powder and beads. The level 65 and 66 mobs were easy. I was mostly took on one each. Also found several mining nodes including Khorium. Finally got the iMac back up and brought in Auruk and she kept getting Warmaul skulls. I brought in Aprillian to do Tusker and when they were done, they got the achievement White Elek Nesingwary completion. Aprillian continued on to do Dailies, while the twins and Auruk rode down into Terrakor to quest down there. Realized I need a high level DE, I have a Veyle, my level 40 Rogue who can DE up to 300, she can do Outland greens right now, so that's cool. But I have Primall who is level 55 but is only 107. Do I try to power level Veyle to Then I realized Aprillian was at 400 Tailoring, only 10 away from, so I spent money Friday night buying Frostweave Cloth Saturday I wanted to do the Lunar Festival but got hung up levelling Primall in enchanting. She had a bunch of BOE stuff that she had gotten from Instances but wasn't high enough to DE. But finally after getting Enchanting to 130, she and Veyle went to Valley of Wisdom and starting the Lunar Festival. While in Moonglade Veyle ran up to Nighthaven to get the Runed Arcanite Rod recipe Locksmith? when asking for directions to Tailor. Veyle is donating mageweave and silk cloth to up her xp. Guy begging in TB. Wanted 5g, I said I would give it to him in exchange for some leather. Elder Ezra replaced Elder Proudhorn Back in TB with Veyle and Primall. Hopping around getting coins and in between stopping to level enchanting, and LW on Primall, the LW to get greens to DE. Aprillian in Blade's Edge doing the Mana cell one and netherstorm doing the fury plans and Shutting Down Manaforge B'naar ended up teaming up with a Warlock 72 from Demise with Felhunter Sunday morning I took Epril, JC and Miner Level 66 to train, she hit 350 making an Adamanite ring, and she was able to train 59 recipes plus Grand master JC, 100g! Then she found the Lunar Festival Exclamation mark in Dalaran. I logged on Elyte and the two of them did the initial quest. Then I see people doing the [Frenzied Firecracker] and the [The Rocket's Red Glare] achievements hard to do in laggy areas Then took Primall and Veyle to TB to start coin collecting out that way but stopped in for the Un goro soil quest because Primall had it and there was some soil in the bank. Primall dinged 56. Then they headed to Camp T Decided to take Primall and Veyle to RFD, yes I have ADD. We got into the instance and a couple of greens dropped but decided to go back to do some more coins. Veyle ported to Dalaran and summoned Primall, she still had Scryer for hearth. Then went to the Lunar festival in Dalaran, but they no longer had scrolls in their inventory. They were able to get more from the Lunar chick After doing some research, I realized Primall could Ashayo Chef Ashayo at last! 3.0.8 added more cooking recipes so that the 45 version of The Northrend Gourmet was achievable. Either I miscounted, or they changed the total recipes available down from 46 because I was sure I could leave one out. The Fish Feast required 450 cooking to use, so I left it out. But it turned out I needed it. Which meant levelling cooking from 420 to 450, and since there wasn't any fish in the AH, I had to fish up about 50 of two kinds of fish and 50 rhino meat. I chose the Small Feast, since the fish it requires are both available in schools, so are easier to ensure you catch. Finally got enough mats and cooked up to 450... only to find the Fish Feast recipe required 5 Dalaran Cooking awards instead of the normal 3, and I only had 3 left. Waited for daily change-over, and it was the damn wine/cheese quest that only gives one cooking award. So I had to wait another 24 hours. In the meantime, made damn sure I had enough fish to actually make a Fish Feast once I learnt it. I was out when the dailies reset, and so finally and 2am this morning, I completed the cooking quest and got the Chef title. Phew! Worked on getting my enchanter up to 350 so he could DE level 78 gear. Wasn't too hard ; I'd stockpiled quite a few mats and the vellum's help alot. 2nd egg from Oracles hatched on my holidays - unfortunately both were aged yolk. Waiting for 3rd to hatch. 3.0.8 changes - Mining - don't have to loot to get skill up. - Rain of Fire animation (looks a bit like DK death and decay now) - Improved /follow while flying? (but toons look jerky) - Fire Seed now just millable (apparently increasing spell damage never worked anyway) - Pest Control - To all the squirrels who shared my life - Pygmy suckerfish more common (used by alchemists) - Preserved Holly - changed graphic and gives 1hr buff - but doesn't work with Dreadsteed! - Oracles - Appeasing the Great Rain Stone ; Shiny Treasures drop more often Tailor is making ebonweave and spellweave - nice that imbued frostweave requirements are down (glad I left that until after 3.0.8) Nagrand with DK - soloing level 68 group quests at 66. Camp Forge Fear chain. Did Durn the Hungerer with 1 DK and a healer. Started Lunar Festival - do for rep! Ashayo got 25 coins of ancestry and 10 Exalted Reputations (Undercity) at same time The ancestry coin for Gundrak is only available in Heroic mode. After I was in a group that completed it, summoned a bunch of other guildies to complete in easy mode. Glanthur Did a raid in Naxx (10-man) and got through a lot of the dailies in Icecrown. I also respeced Arlaerus from Holy back to Protection. I just really missed my shield spells. Though, I need to get new gear now for him. Epic flying for Arlaerus is now only 3K gold away. I'd like to thank the guild Lost Chapter on Wyrmrest Accord for being an outstanding guild! Thanks for all the fun times. Emails Email #1 from Tracey I just wanted to thank Aprillian for the advice on the Nagrand quest with the trampoline. I worked on that darn quest for over an hour - with your suggestion on how to make the jump it worked on my 2nd try. Another DK and I had to team up to kill the bird that worked well. I really get alot out of your podcasts and even though you tend to be a bit Hordish I enjoy it anyway. Have a great week - looking forward to the next podcast. Thanks, Tracey (Warhumpdy, Dkhumpdy) on Malygos (Hey to Hand of Destiny guildies) Email #2 from Patrick Hello folks Well I made another move from Garrosh to Wyrmrest Accord (now I am starting to sound like Aprillian). The reason why I moved again is my friend missed the free window from Earthen Ring to Garrosh and we really wanted to team up and level as a group. The 2nd reason is the same as what Glanthur had stated about RP servers. Like him, I just wanted to be on a RP server to watch role playing. I, like Glanthur, am not a role player but I found that many players on RP servers are friendlier and tend to help out more. Sure you always get the clowns, but in general, I find the attitude is far better. That's all for now. Email #3 from Xandarr Hello, it is Xandarr again. http://ctrlaltwow.podbean.com/2009/01/16/ctrl-alt-wow-episode-97-respec-just-a-little-bit (But now I have made two new toons on the Perenolde Server with the Epic Dolls Guild. You might know them as some of your fellow podcasters) Anyway, I was shocked to hear you read my email on the air. I was so excited that when I got home that evening I let my wife listen to it. BOY DID SHE ROLL HER EYES AT ME. She said that not only was is more addicts trying to justiy my addiction with them, but that when she has our next baby in 8 months I have to give up the game entirely. ACK!!! NO!!! Anyway, such is life right? I am really not looking forwardto giving up WoW competely. She dosn't realize I FIND MY TIME TO PLAY and NEED that time... desperately. Even if it is an hour here or an hour there. I just gotta find better times to make time for WoW after I take care of the baby and stuff. I gotta find a way to make a deal with her. Any ideas? I did write a review for you guys on I tunes under the name Jasper2112. Love your show, and I am glad it is on weekly. FOR THE HORDE! Chilie & Cornbread (Tauren Hunter and pet cat) with Portirhouse (Tauren Death Knight) Dubbed "He-who-loves-food" by guildmates Common Dolls with the Epic Dolls guild on Perenolde Server Email #4 from Eranth Aprillian, Ashayo, Glanther (&Blade!) I thought I'd drop you a line for the next show and just make a few comments about the recent patch with the “Hunter Nerf” from the casual hunter's perspective. There had been a good deal of concern that this patch would really hose down the DPS of the Hunter. While I believe that the result that Blizzard has come up with does tone down the DPS of the Beastmaster and likely the Marksman some, we may see the Survival Hunter tuned up to be more viable. What I've noticed with my more casual play of my Beastmaster Hunter is that where my pets were pretty tough before, able to aggro, hold and grind down 4 or 5 mid-70's to upper-70's mobs, I'm having to throw down more Pet Mends to keep him up and going. While I feel like my DPS has come down some, it's not nearly as drastic as I was imagining it would be. While I haven't crunched any numbers, my evidence is simply based on trying to pay attention to how encounters have gone, compared to how they felt they'd gone in the past. I've done a fair amount of grinding out leather in Scholazar Basin, trying to pull in 3 or 4 mobs at a time, multi-shot and AOE them down, then collect the skins. Again, the biggest difference I've noticed is having to throw down Mend Pet more often than before, because my pet isn't as tough as he used to be. I'd be interested to hear what others have experienced! Keep up the good work with Control-Alt-WoW! “Walk with the Earth Mother..” --Eranth AIE on Earthen Ring Email #5 iTunes Review
