You keep treating fear like a stop sign. Something got hard, something fell apart, and you read it as proof that you should stay exactly where you are. But that down-and-out chapter, the one you might be sitting in right this second, was never the place you were meant to stay. It was the doorway. And you've been standing in front of it, convinced it's a wall. Here's what's actually happening, babe. You're loyal to the version of you that never got a good shake at life. The devil you know feels safer than the future version of you that you haven't met yet, so you stay in the belief loop where good things happen, bad things happen, and all you're doing is surviving until the next paycheck. That's not your fault. But now that you've heard this, staying there is a choice.Episode Takeaways:Recognize that every down season was a portal for the next come up, not a punishmentReframe fear as your highest self pointing the way forward instead of a reason to stopUnderstand that you can only receive what you've healed, which is why the next level still feels out of reachStop being loyal to the broken down, middle of the road version of you that you're so in love withTalk to your body, your money, and your life like the biggest version of you is already in the roomThe woman who takes this in stops waiting to be rescued from her own life. She takes every brick that got thrown at her and builds the mansion. She stops co-collaborating with fear and starts creating with the Creator, and she finally meets the magnetic, wealthy, healthy, adored version of herself who has been sitting in the same timeline this whole time saying, tap me in.Rich & Regulated: 15 Days to Manifest Money & Keep It — live class starts June 28, 2026. $199. Welcome to Day 2885 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom. Day 2885 – Wisdom Nuggets – Psalm 136:1-9 Daily Wisdom Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2885 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2885 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. The Title for Today's Wisdom-Trek is: The Cosmic Anthem of Enduring Love In our previous episode on this grand, poetic landscape, we scaled the magnificent, soaring finale of Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five, verses fifteen through twenty-one. We witnessed a devastating, razor-sharp polemical assault against the silent, breathless idols of the nations. We watched the psalmist ruthlessly strip away the mystical propaganda of the pagan cultures, exposing their silver and gold statues as completely mute, blind, and deaf. We confronted the terrifying law of spiritual assimilation—realizing that those who place their trust in hollow, manufactured systems will inevitably become just as hollow and spiritually dead as the idols they worship. We closed our trek by stepping into the vibrant, living courts of Jerusalem, joining the unified, roaring anthem of the true assembly, shouting Hallelujah to the living King who dynamically rules the cosmos from His embassy on Mount Zion. Today, we transition directly from that daytime temple victory into what is universally recognized as the absolute mountain peak of Hebrew liturgy. We are entering the opening movement of Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Six, verses one through nine, in the New Living Translation. In the ancient Jewish tradition, this masterpiece is known as the “Great Hallel”—the supreme song of praise, traditionally sung during the Passover seder. This psalm takes the theological truths we uncovered in our last episode, and sets them to a beautiful, rhythmic, and antiphonal chant designed to reshape our entire understanding of reality. As we step onto this new trail, we will hear the thunderous voice of the congregation responding to every single line of divine truth with an unyielding, cosmic refrain. Let let us adjust our lenses, quiet our hearts, and join the grand procession. The first segment is: The Supreme Sovereign of the Celestial Council Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Six: verses one, two, and three. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His faithful love endures forever. The liturgy opens with a majestic, triadic call to worship that establishes the absolute, unrivaled supremacy of the Creator. We hear the temple leader shout the declaration, and the massive congregation roars back the eternal echo: “His faithful love endures forever.” To fully unlock the immense, explosive weight of these opening verses, we must view this language through the profound lens of the Ancient Israelite divine council worldview, as masterfully taught by Doctor Michael S. Heiser. In our modern, Western theological context, we often read terms like “God of gods,” or “Lord of lords,” as mere rhetorical hyperbole—poetic ways of saying God is the biggest and the best. But to the ancient Near Eastern mind, this was a highly technical, legal description of celestial hierarchy. The psalmist is explicitly naming the Elohei ha-elohim—the supreme, uncreated Sovereign who presides over the entire assembly of heavenly beings. We must recall the foundational cosmic geography of Deuteronomy, chapter thirty-two, verses eight and nine. When the Most High divided the nations at the Tower of Babel, He allocated the different people groups to the oversight of lesser spiritual beings—the sons of God, the territorial elohim. These spiritual principalities subsequently rebelled, becoming corrupt, demanding worship for themselves, and plunging the pagan world into darkness. They set up their own rival thrones, claiming absolute lordship over their respective empires. The psalmist stands in the temple courts and hurls a massive, polemical challenge into the unseen realm. By commanding the people to give thanks to the “God of gods,” and the “Lord of lords,” he is legally reasserting Yahweh's supreme authority over the entire cosmic rebellion. He is stating that the rebel principalities of Babylon, Egypt, and Rome are merely created entities, middle-management spirits who owe their very existence to the High King. They may claim to be gods, but Yahweh is the Sovereign over their council. Their authority is localized and temporary; His supremacy is absolute and universal. Notice the specific engine that powers this supreme governance. Why does the universe remain secure under the God of gods? Because “His faithful love endures forever.” The Hebrew word used here is our foundational, majestic anchor word: Hesed. It refers to a loyal, stubborn, covenant-keeping affection that refuses to let go. The psalmist is making a radical claim: the ultimate, structural fabric of the cosmos is not blind power, chaotic fate, or erratic anger—which is what the pagan nations believed about their capricious deities. The bedrock of the universe is the relentless, fiercely loyal Hesed of Yahweh. Every star hangs in space, and every legal decree of the divine council is issued through the filter of this enduring love. The second segment is: The Miraculous Architect of Cosmic Order Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Six: verses four, five, and six. Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who placed the earth on the water. His faithful love endures forever. The anthem transitions from the composition of the celestial council, to the initial acts of creation, demonstrating that Yahweh's Hesed is the driving force behind the physical architecture of our world. We are commanded to praise the One “who alone does mighty miracles.” The use of the word “alone” is another intentional, razor-sharp polemic against the rebel spirits. The pagan cultures credited their localized deities with all kinds of supernatural feats, believing that Baal brought the rain, or that Ra managed the sun. But the psalmist clears the stage, declaring that when it comes to true, cosmic, and foundational miracles, Yahweh operates completely without rivals. He needs no help from the divine assembly; His own voice is entirely sufficient to organize the void. He proves this by pointing to the skies: “Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully.” The Hebrew text implies that the heavens were designed with deep, mathematical wisdom and artistic precision. In the ancient biblical worldview, the creation of the heavens was an act of establishing boundaries, building a beautifully ordered home where life could safely flourish, completely insulated from primeval chaos. The psalmist then moves his focus down to the geography of our home in verse six: “Give thanks to him who placed the earth on the water.” To the ancient Near Eastern mind, this imagery was filled with intense, dramatic tension. They believed that the dry land was established, and anchored, directly over the dark, deep, and roaring waters of the primordial ocean—the realm of Yamm, which represented the terrifying forces of unmitigated chaos. Left to themselves, the wild waters would instantly rise up to swallow the land, flooding the world back into a formless void. But Yahweh executed a mighty miracle of stabilization. He flattened the earth, drove back the roaring tides, and placed the dry ground securely "on the water," pinning the chaotic deep beneath His feet. He built a structural breakwater for humanity. When the congregation chants, “His faithful love endures forever” after this verse, they are recognizing that the very ground they stand upon is a direct gift of divine mercy. The earth remains solid, and the chaos waters are kept at bay, simply because the loyal Hesed of the Creator actively maintains the boundaries of creation every single second. The third segment is: Overruling the Astral Principalities Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Six: verses seven, eight, and nine. Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights— His faithful love endures forever. the sun to rule the day, His faithful love endures forever. and the moon and stars to...

Altruism - helping one another – is a real puzzle to those who explain the world of living things in terms of materialistic evolution. Evolution is supposed to work on the selfish survival-of-the-fittest principle so there should be no reason for any creature, including man, to develop a helping attitude. In fact, there is no way to explain how the genetic code could possibly develop and pass on a trait such as altruism.Researchers have studied a bird called the white-fronted African bee-eater. Members of this species help each other, sometimes even at the sacrifice of their own life. For example, one bird will face a spitting cobra to defend another and scientists have been puzzled to know how this altruistic trait can possibly be passed on when it often results in death. Another common altruistic habit of the ‘African bee-eater is that one female will put off starting her own family to help another bee-eater raise her young. Some argue that such behaviour is limited to birds that are related. But they admit that even adopted orphaned bee-eaters will help their adopted parents in this way. While it is often denied, the theory of evolution has yet to adequately explain altruism. Altruism is a demonstration of that commandment given by our Creator to “love our neighbour.”Luke 10:33-34"But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was. And when he saw him he had compassion on him, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him."Prayer: Dear God, I ask that You would help me so that I would not adopt the selfish and cold behavior of so many in today's world. Let my life be an example that draws others to You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.Ref: Kathy A. Fackelmann, “Avian Altruism,” Science News, Vol.135. In this lesson from the Gate of Repentance (Shaar HaTeshuvah), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explores the third and fourth stages of genuine repentance: sorrow and action. True teshuvah requires more than intellectual acknowledgment of wrongdoing. A person must feel genuine pain over the damage caused to their relationship with Hashem. Just as people experience deep anguish over financial loss, broken relationships, or personal hardship, they should feel profound sorrow when they recognize that their actions have created distance between themselves and their Creator. The purpose of this sorrow is not self-punishment but the restoration of closeness with Hashem, who continuously showers kindness upon us even when we fall short. Rabbi Wolbe explains that the depth of a person's repentance is often measured by the depth of their regret. The more a person appreciates Hashem's endless love, generosity, and patience, the more painful it becomes to realize how they may have misused those gifts. This emotional response reflects the purity of the soul, which naturally longs to reconnect with its Divine source. Teshuvah is fundamentally about repairing a relationship, and sincere remorse demonstrates how much that relationship truly matters. The episode then introduces the next stage: transforming repentance from an internal feeling into external action. Regret in the heart is essential, but it must eventually be expressed through tangible change. Throughout Jewish history, fasting, tears, altered routines, increased prayer, and visible acts of humility have served as physical expressions of repentance. Rabbi Wolbe explains that these actions help a person internalize the seriousness of their mistakes and demonstrate a genuine commitment to growth. The lesson concludes by highlighting the role of the eyes and the heart as gateways to both holiness and temptation. Tears, introspection, and disciplined action become tools for cleansing the soul and rebuilding one's connection with Hashem. _____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Peter & Becky BotvinRecorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on September 29, 2025, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on June 16, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! What makes something right or wrong? Are things that are sometimes wrong always wrong? Most writers and commentators, even most preachers today, have problems with the question of right and wrong. That seems amazing since only a generation or two ago few people had any problems at all with the issue of right and wrong. About the only act that seems to be universally accepted as wrong today is to claim that there is an absolute standard of morality! How did things change so fast? That's not hard to answer. When people accepted that they were made by a Creator, they accepted one important consequence of that fact - the Creator owns us lock, stock, and barrel, and therefore has every right to hold us accountable for our actions. Many people understood that God was determined to steer us from the wrong and urge us toward the right because the wrong hurts us while the right provides us with a sense of fulfilment. So, life cannot be full when the Creator is not included. When evolutionists convinced much of the population that this personal Creator was a myth, people began to reason that without a Creator, right and wrong were up for grabs - morality was not absolute. And that is just what the first architects of evolution said would happen if evolution was adopted!Hebrews 12:1"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…"Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, it is because You have carried the punishment for my sin on the cross, and because You were raised on the third day, that I have a new, meaningful life to live. Help me to live it and so have joy. Amen.Image: Divine creation, Karen .t, Pixabay. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1232/29?v=20251111

Genesis 3 confronts one of humanity's oldest temptations: the desire to define reality apart from God. What begins with the serpent's question, “Did God actually say?”, leads Adam and Eve to pursue autonomy, wisdom, and self determination on their own terms. Instead of freedom, they find shame, fear, hiding, and fractured relationships. The deeper tragedy of sin is not merely that it breaks God's commands, but that it deforms what it means to be human. Scripture presents human flourishing not as freedom from God's boundaries, but as life lived within His good design. In a culture that celebrates self creation and limitless autonomy, Genesis reminds us that true freedom, purpose, and dignity are found in trusting the Creator rather than ourselves. As we embrace God's wisdom, limits, and calling, we move away from dehumanization and toward the fullness of life for which we were made.

He grew up in Barbados and moved to the United States of America as a young adult. Neville Goddard was perhaps the last century's most intellectually substantive and charismatic purveyor of the philosophy generally called New Thought. He wrote more than ten books under the solitary pen name Neville, and was a popular speaker on metaphysical themes from the late 1930s until his death in 1972.Possessed of a self-educated and uncommonly sharp intellect, Neville espoused a spiritual vision that was bold and total: Everything you see and experience, including other people, is the result of your own thoughts and emotional states. Each of us dreams into existence an infinitude of realities and outcomes. When you realize this, Neville taught, you will discover yourself to be a slumbering branch of the Creator clothed in human form, and at the helm of limitless possibilities.Neville's thought system influenced a wide range of spiritual thinkers and writers, from bestselling author Dr. Joseph Murphy to Rhonda Byrne and Wayne Dyer.He has inspired and continues to inspire millions of readers around the world.* * *SOCIALS:• Neville Goddard Newsletter• Neville Goddard Telegram• Neville Goddard Instagram• Neville Goddard Threads• Neville Goddard Twitter• Neville Goddard YouTube* * *ABOUT THE COURSEUnlock God Mode is a transformative 30-day course designed to accelerate your journey towards greater wealth, love, and success through a deeper understanding and manipulation of your reality. Tuesday, 16 June 2026 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28 “Just as the ‘Son, the Man', not He came to be attended to but to attend, and give the ‘soul, His' – ransom for many.” (CG) In the previous verse, Jesus told the disciples that whoever desires to be first among them should be their slave. With that noted, He next explains why this is to be so in His kingdom, saying, “Just as the ‘Son, the Man'.” Referring to Himself, Jesus highlights His humanity. He is fully human. Thus, His example is one that is understandable and attainable in the stream of human existence by others, even if it is not what is normally expected of greatness or preeminence. In this example He sets forth, He notes that “not He came to be attended to.” This would have been evident to the disciples, even if they didn't really pay attention to it throughout their days together. People didn't come to Jesus to serve Him. The disciples followed Him and learned from Him. They also did the things He directed, such as telling Peter to get a fish in which he would find a coin in its mouth, but there is nothing about people coming to Him and serving Him in a designated capacity. There is a note in Luke 8:2, 3 about the women who helped provide for Him from their substance, but that is not so much attending to Him as one would think of a servant or slave, but as helpers assisting the ministry of which He was the leader. Examples such as Martha serving while Mary listened to Jesus cannot be used to dismiss Jesus' words here. Those were duties people do in their regular lives. Jesus being present was incidental to the fact. In other words, Martha would have served anyone who came into her house in a similar manner. Jesus' words are referring to a person who actively allowed people to serve Him because they were under Him and designated to do so. And so, to explicitly state that the opposite was true, He continues, saying, “but to attend.” The disciples had seen Jesus tirelessly serving the masses, tending to them, even at His own expense. He didn't expect people to come to His castle and meet His every need. He was in the thick of the masses of Israel, tending to their needs, both physical and spiritual. In just a short time from His words to these disciples, He would give them a visual, tangible lesson of servitude, which is recorded in John 13:1-17. The Creator and Sustainer of all things would wash their feet, instructing them on what it means to live a life of servitude. And more, Jesus says, “and give the ‘soul, His' – ransom for many.” A new word is seen, lutron, something to loosen with. As such, it signifies a redemption price, as in one paying a sum to loosen another's bonds. The word is found only here and in the parallel passage in Mark 10:45. However, it is also used in the Greek translation of the Old Testament over twenty times, including key passages, such as Exodus 21:30, Leviticus 19:20, Proverbs 13:8, and Isaiah 45:13. The word is used to translate specific Hebrew words (such as pidyon, geulah, and kopher) to indicate a redemption price or ransom paid to liberate individuals, such as slaves, captives, or those subject to the death penalty. The meaning of Jesus' words is clear and unambiguous. Jesus would give His soul, meaning His life, as a ransom payment for others. This, then, would be the ultimate ministration of His life on behalf of those He came to attend to. Life application: As noted above, Jesus was among the people of Israel, actively serving them with His life, and yet, the disciples probably never stopped to think, “Jesus is spending all His time serving others.” They would have heard the teaching and thought, “He sure is a great Teacher.” They would have seen the miracles and thought, “He has the most incredible healing abilities.” But they probably didn't put two and two together to conclude, “Jesus is the most stupendous Servant we have ever seen.” And yet, this is exactly what He was doing. The teaching, healing, counseling, and training were all forms of service which permeated His existence. As Christians, we can get so myopic about things that we miss the greater picture of what is going on in the world around us. Some focus so heavily on Israel that they miss what God is doing in the church. Some focus so heavily on the church that they miss what God is doing in regard to Israel. We might focus so much on helping that we never take time to teach personal responsibility. We might focus so much on doctrine that we forget about evangelizing. This doesn't mean that we don't each have our own specialty that we can excel at. But we should not become so focused on our specialty that we forget that others are doing great things that are not necessarily directly related to what we are doing. A church that teaches sound doctrine may not have a lot of converts, but a church with very basic doctrine may get multitudes saved. One is not better than the other. Rather, they have different abilities and capabilities that should be considered. It is great to have converts. People's eternal destinies are changed by that. But it is also great that people don't just get converted and then stagnate. There needs to be proper doctrine taught that will keep people from being led astray. Let us not get bogged down in our own little circle where we forget that God is doing a great work of building His church with an almost innumerable number of specialties, all of which overlap and are intended to bring His purposes together into a perfect body someday. Lord God, may we be ready to recognize the value of what others are doing, seeing the importance and effect of their efforts, and acknowledging them as such. It took the disciples of Jesus quite a while to figure out what He was doing. May we be willing to carefully evaluate all You have going on in order to build Your people into an everlasting dwelling. Amen.
LESSON 167There Is One Life, And That I Share With God.There are not different kinds of life, for life is like the truth. It does not have degrees. It is the one condition in which all that God created share. Like all His Thoughts, it has no opposite. There is no death because what God created shares His Life. There is no death because an opposite to God does not exist. There is no death because the Father and the Son are one.In this world, there appears to be a state that is life's opposite. You call it death. Yet we have learned that the idea of death takes many forms. It is the one idea which underlies all feelings that are not supremely happy. It is the alarm to which you give response of any kind that is not perfect joy. All sorrow, loss, anxiety and suffering and pain, even a little sigh of weariness, a slight discomfort or the merest frown, acknowledge death. And thus deny you live. You think that death is of the body. Yet it is but an idea, irrelevant to what is seen as physical. A thought is in the mind. It can be then applied as mind directs it. But its origin is where it must be changed, if change occurs. Ideas leave not their source. The emphasis this course has placed on that idea is due to its centrality in our attempts to change your mind about yourself. It is the reason you can heal. It is the cause of healing. It is why you cannot die. Its truth established you as one with God.Death is the thought that you are separate from your Creator. It is the belief conditions change, emotions alternate because of causes you cannot control, you did not make, and you can never change. It is the fixed belief ideas can leave their source, and take on qualities the source does not contain, becoming different from their own origin, apart from it in kind as well as distance, time and form.Death cannot come from life. Ideas remain united to their source. They can extend all that their source contains. In that, they can go far beyond themselves. But they can not give birth to what was never given them. As they are made, so will their making be. As they were born, so will they then give birth. And where they come from, there will they return. The mind can think it sleeps, but that is all. It cannot change what is its waking state. It cannot make a body, nor abide within a body. What is alien to the mind does not exist, because it has no source. For mind creates all things that are, and cannot give them attributes it lacks, nor change its own eternal, mindful state. It cannot make the physical. What seems to die is but the sign of mind asleep. The opposite of life can only be another form of life. As such, it can be reconciled with what created it, because it is not opposite in truth. Its form may change; it may appear to be what it is not. Yet mind is mind, awake or sleeping. It is not its opposite in anything created, nor in what it seems to make when it believes it sleeps.God creates only mind awake. He does not sleep, and His creations cannot share what He gives not, nor make conditions which He does not share with them. The thought of death is not the opposite to thoughts of life. Forever unopposed by opposites of any kind, the Thoughts of God remain forever changeless, with the power to extend forever changelessly, but yet within themselves, for they are everywhere. What seems to be the opposite of life is merely sleeping. When the mind elects to be what it is not, and to assume an alien power which it does not have, a foreign state it cannot enter, or a false condition not within its Source, it merely seems to go to sleep a while. It dreams of time; an interval in which what seems to happen never has occurred, the changes wrought are substanceless, and all events are nowhere. When the mind awakes, it but continues as it always was.Let us today be children of the truth, and not deny our holy heritage. Our life is not as we imagine it. Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is? We will not ask for death in any form today. Nor will we let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant where the Thought of life eternal has been set by God Himself. His holy home we strive to keep today as He established it, and wills it be forever and forever. He is Lord of what we think today. And in His Thoughts, which have no opposite, we understand there is one life, and that we share with Him, with all creation, with their thoughts as well, whom He created in a unity of life that cannot separate in death and leave the Source of life from where it came.We share one life because we have one Source, a Source from Which perfection comes to us, remaining always in the holy minds which He created perfect. As we were, so are we now and will forever be. A sleeping mind must waken, as it sees its own perfection mirroring the Lord of Life so perfectly it fades into what is reflected there. And now it is no more a mere reflection. It becomes the thing reflected, and the light which makes reflection possible. No vision now is needed. For the wakened mind is one that knows its Source, its Self, its Holiness.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

The Whole Armor of God10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++For more information about this group, please visit their website at reformationboise.com. Welcome to Day 2883 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom. Day 2883 – Wisdom Nuggets – Psalm 135:15-21 Daily Wisdom Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2883 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2883 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. The title for today's Wisdom-Trek is: The Silent Idols and the Living King of Zion In our previous stop along this grand, poetic landscape, we explored the powerful, historical midsection of Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five, verses eight through fourteen. We watched the temple liturgy transform into a dramatic victory march through time. We looked back at how Yahweh systematically dismantled the greatest earthly empires, and broke the power of the dark spiritual principalities operating behind the scenes. We stood in awe as the Divine Warrior shattered the gods of Egypt, and slaughtered the terrifying giant rebel kings, Sihon of the Amorites, and Og of Bashan, who ruled over the demonic stronghold of the underworld gates. We celebrated the truth that Yahweh vindicates His people, and pours out His fierce, fatherly compassion upon His treasured heritage. Today, we have arrived at the magnificent, soaring finale of this great temple hymn. We are completing our journey through Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five, by exploring verses fifteen through twenty-one, in the New Living Translation. The psalmist shifts his strategy one final time. He has already proven Yahweh's supremacy over nature, and His absolute dominance over history. Now, he launches a devastating, mocking, and highly sarcastic assault against the very nature of the gods worshiped by the surrounding nations. He forces the congregation to confront the ultimate, ridiculous contrast between a living, speaking, and history-shaping Creator, and the dead, manufactured metal status symbols of the rebel powers. Let us step onto the trail, open our minds, and listen to the final verdict of the cosmic courtroom. The first segment is: The Pathetic Anatomy of Manufactured Gods Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five: verses fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen. The idols of the nations are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands. They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see. They have ears but cannot hear, and mouths but cannot breathe. The final indictment begins with a brutally honest, reductionist look at the objects of pagan devotion. “The idols of the nations are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands. They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see. They have ears but cannot hear, and mouths but cannot breathe.” To fully unlock the brilliant sarcasm, and the intense spiritual warfare embedded in these three verses, we must look through the lens of the Ancient Israelite divine council worldview, as masterfully taught by Doctor Michael S. Heiser. In the ancient Near East, the surrounding pagan nations did not believe their gods were only pieces of wood or metal. They knew the statues were made by craftsmen. However, they practiced a highly elaborate, mystical ritual known as the "Washing of the Mouth," or the "Opening of the Mouth." Through these esoteric ceremonies, pagan priests believed they could enchant the physical statue, prompting a territorial spiritual entity—a rebel elohim of the divine council—to actually come down, inhabit the metal image, and animate it. The idol was viewed as a localized, physical conduit for a supernatural power. The pagans believed that through these animated statues, their gods could look at their sacrifices, hear their prayers, and speak prophetic directions over their empires. The psalmist stands in the courts of Yahweh, looks at these highly intimidating, gold-plated cultural icons, and completely exposes them as a cosmic fraud. He strips away the mystical propaganda, and mocks the absolute helplessness of the material. He says, “Look closer at these terrifying gods of Babylon, Egypt, and Canaan. What are they, really? Strip away the smoke and mirrors, and they are merely static pieces of silver and gold. They are completely dependent upon the very humans who built them. If a human hand didn't shape them, they wouldn't even exist!” He then executes a brilliant, sensory takedown of their anatomy. He catalogs their organs, matching them against their total lack of functionality. “They have beautifully carved mouths, yes, but they are utterly mute. They cannot speak a single word of comfort, or declare a single true prophecy. They have glistening, jeweled eyes, but they are completely blind. They cannot see the suffering of their followers, or perceive the movements of history. They have elaborate ears, but they are totally deaf to the cries of the oppressed. They have a second mouth carved on their faces, but there is absolutely no ruach—no breath of life, no spirit—inside their lungs.” This is a devastating, logical checkmate. In the ancient world, breath was the defining evidence of life. Yahweh is the self-existent, living God who breathed the breath of life into the nostrils of humanity, and who effortlessly controls the winds of the cosmos. But the gods of the nations are spiritually suffocating. They are paralyzed, inanimate prisoners trapped inside their own expensive silver and gold armor. Why would an intelligent, eternal human being bow down to a physical object that possesses less vitality than a common insect? The second segment is: The Ontological Decay of the Idolater Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five: verse eighteen. And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them. Having exposed the pathetic nature of the false gods, the psalmist delivers a chilling, psychological, and spiritual law of human nature. “And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them.” This is one of the most profound, terrifying warnings in the entire Old Testament. It outlines the law of spiritual assimilation: you will inevitably become just like the object of your ultimate alignment. You cannot give your worship, your devotion, and your deepest trust to a specific spiritual system without taking on the ontological characteristics of that system. In the biblical worldview, human beings were uniquely created to be the tselem—the physical images and reflections—of the living God, Yahweh. We were designed to mirror His life, His speaking truth, His clear-seeing justice, and His active compassion into the physical realm. But when a human being turns away from the Creator, and locks their loyalty onto the dead, manufactured systems of the rebel principalities, a horrific process of spiritual deformation begins. The psalmist is saying, “If you trust in a mute, blind, deaf, and breathless god, your own soul will slowly become mute, blind, deaf, and breathless.” The craftsmen who forge these idols, and the cultures that depend upon them, suffer a catastrophic degradation of their humanity. They lose their spiritual perception. They develop mouths, but they can no longer speak words of true wisdom or justice. They have eyes, but they become entirely blind to the cosmic reality of God's sovereignty. They have ears, but they become totally deaf to the warnings of divine judgment. They become spiritually dead, hollowed out, and as lifeless as the silver and gold statues they worship. To worship a fraud is to transform your own life into a permanent illusion. The Third segment is: The Unified Anthem of the True Council Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Five: verses nineteen and twenty. O family of Israel, praise the Lord! O family of Aaron, praise the Lord! O family of Levi, praise the Lord! All you who fear the Lord, praise the Lord! In stark, brilliant contrast to the silent, suffocating isolation of the idolaters, the psalmist turns back to the vibrant, living congregation of Zion. He organizes the assembly into concentric circles of roaring, unified praise, calling upon each sacred order to testify against the darkness. “O family of Israel, praise the Lord! O family of Aaron, praise the Lord! O family of Levi, praise the Lord! All you who fear the Lord, praise the Lord!” Notice the beautiful, structured hierarchy of this liturgical call. He begins with the widest circle of covenant identity: the “family of Israel.” This is the entire nation, the collective segullah—the private, prized treasure of Yahweh. They are commanded to raise their voices to boast in the God who physically pulled them out of the jaws of Egypt. Then,...

"Evolution is a settled fact!" we're often told by scientists, science popularizers, and probably have seen this statement not a few times on social media. But there has been another, perhaps less-noticed trend in the evolutionary sciences today. There is an ever-increasing academic dissent against evolution by means of natural selection as the best explanation for the variety of life we see on Earth today. The more scientists probe the wonders of living organisms, and the stunningly overwhelming variety of species that exist today, the more improbable the Neo-Darwinian account of the diversification of species seems to many. This week on the Profile we feature a conversation with the President of Reasons to Believe, biochemist, author, and Christian apologist Dr. Fuz Rana. We'll discuss some of the key reasons why intelligent design in biology is seemingly making a comeback. We go beyond mere intelligent design though, and discuss the specifics of how design in biology and in the universe points us back to Scripture and ultimately to Christ. Fuz's Testimony and Background: "As a graduate student studying biochemistry, I was captivated by the cell's complexity, elegance, and sophistication. The inadequacy of evolutionary scenarios to account for life's origin compelled me to conclude that life must come from a Creator. Reading through the Sermon on the Mount convinced me that Jesus really was who Christians claimed him to be: Lord and Savior. Still, encouraging others to join me in following Christ wasn't important to me—until my father died. His death changed that. In 1999, I left my position in research and development at a Fortune 500 company to join Reasons to Believe. I felt the most important thing I could do as a scientist was to show Christians and non-Christians alike the powerful scientific evidence for God's existence and for the reliability of the Bible."Free Resources from Watchman Fellowship Naturalism: https://www.watchman.org/Naturalism/ProfileNaturalism.pdfScientism: https://www.watchman.org/scientism/ProfileScientism.pdfPanpsychism: https://www.watchman.org/files/ProfilePanpsychism.pdfAtheism: https://www.watchman.org/profiles/pdf/atheismprofile.pdfAdditional ResourcesFREE: We are also offering a subscription to our 4-page bimonthly Profiles here: www.watchman.org/FreePROFILE NOTEBOOK: Order the complete collection of Watchman Fellowship Profiles (around 700 pages -- from Astrology to Zen Buddhism) in either printed or PDF formats here: www.watchman.org/NotebookSUPPORT: Help us create more content like this. This teaching series is based on the tradition of “Shabbat Shuva,” or the “Shabbat of Return,” which falls between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur (the Day of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement). The text for this tradition is Hoshea (Hosea) chapter 14, which begins, “O Yisra'el, return to Yahweh your Elohim…” After having gone through the Spring Feasts – Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Shavuot, which are types and shadows of the Hebrews' exodus from Egypt and journey to Mt. Sinai, have you maintained a faithful, straight walk in Torah? Or have you gotten “off the path” a little or a lot? Do you sense a call to return to the path, to Yahweh? • What is meant by “crookedness”? What does crookedness cause you to do? • Regarding the call to return – return to what? From there, Rabbi Berkson takes us into Leviticus 26 to examine the reasons for returning to the Covenant. In Leviticus chapter 26, the blessings and curses associated with Yahweh's Covenant with His people are listed. • How will you be able to walk in Covenant with the Creator? From Leviticus, we go to Deuteronomy 4:25, where we see that Yahweh has an issue with His people and their idol worship. How can we relate to them today regarding ‘idol worship'? Rabbi Berkson then takes us to Deuteronomy chapter 30 to show us one of Moses' final exhortations to the people as they are about to cross over into the Promised Land. Interestingly, Yahweh, through Moses, told the people that in their future they would stray from the path they were supposed to walk and be taken from the Land by their enemies, but as they were living in a foreign land, their hearts would turn back to Yahweh, and they would return once again to possess and live in their Promised Land. • In this chapter, we see the phrase, “circumcise your heart” – what does that mean? Isn’t that just a “New Testament” concept? What is it doing left of Matthew? And then we are taken to Romans chapter 10, where Rabbi Berkson points out that the apostle Paul is clearly writing about Torah observance and, indeed, substitutes the word ‘Messiah' for the word ‘Torah' as he quotes Moses in Deuteronomy chapter 30. • What does Romans 10:4 really mean? • What is “the righteousness of belief”? • What is “the good news of the good”? • Was there “Good News” before the New Testament? Verse-by-verse and step-by-step, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us on a journey of discovery and learning how to covenant with our Creator and Father, which, from time to time, requires us to turn around and return to His Word so that we can have a sure entrance into His Kingdom. June 15, 2026Miguel WarrenIn Colossians 1:15–29, Paul paints a breathtaking picture of who Jesus truly is. He is the image of the invisible God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the One who rescues us from darkness and reconciles us to God. This passage reminds us that our greatest need is not a better version of ourselves, but a bigger view of Jesus. In this message from our HELD TOGETHER series, we explore:• Why many of us have a smaller view of Jesus than Scripture describes• How Christ holds all things together, even when life feels out of control• What it means to be rescued from darkness and transferred into God's kingdom• How the gospel empowers us to bring hope to a broken worldThe same Jesus who holds the cosmos together has placed His gospel message within His people. No matter what you're facing, you can trust Him to sustain you, transform you, and use your life to shine His hope into the world.

In the early 17th century, an aged veteran of Spain's wars against the Ottoman Empire published a book. It was the story of a poor nobleman who deludes himself that he is a knight errant and sets off on hilarious adventures. Don Quixote is an early 17th century fictional character made famous by the Spanish author, Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616). The story’s influence on North American literature is immeasurable. E226. At the time the saga of Don Quixote was written by Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616), the city of Guanajuato in central Mexico was an important colonial town due to the area's large silver deposits. Because it was an important Spanish site, the city today boasts of lavish colonial architecture and a historic town center that is recognized by UNESCO for its cultural heritage. The city proudly holds an annual international festival in honor of Cervantes and his famous characters and story. E227. After powerful worship, preaching, and altar moments, the question becomes simple: how do we walk this out tomorrow? Mike Conway preached from Colossians 3 and gave students a practical word for coming down the mountain and returning home with clarity. Victory is not sustained by hype, human effort, or trying harder. It is sustained by a clear vision of Christ, seated at the right hand of God, and the truth that we have already been raised with Him. “There's victory with clear vision,” Mike said. He also reminded students, “The miracle is already yours.” This message calls us to set our hearts and minds on things above. Our old desires, false beliefs, destructive patterns, and earthly attachments no longer have the final word. The old life is dead, and our lives are now hidden with Christ in God. When old thoughts, temptations, anger, lies, and desires try to rise again, we do not have to believe them or return to them. We can see them for what they are and put them to death. Mike reminded students that freedom is not merely changed behavior. It is a transformed mind, a renewed heart, and a restored identity. God is making us image bearers again, people who reflect the Creator through love, patience, forgiveness, truth, and obedience. The application is simple: keep your eyes on the throne room. Set your heart on Christ. Set your mind on what is above. Put off the old self, put on the new self, and walk out the victory Jesus has already won.

The Quill and the Covenant #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT #USA250 #AMERICA250 #NATION250“"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”— Romans 13:1THE STORYJefferson agonized over every word. The Declaration of Independence went through multiple drafts, multiple committees, and multiple rounds of debate. Jefferson was frustrated by many of the changes, most famously the removal of his condemnation of the slave trade, which the Southern delegates refused to allow. But there was one phrase that survived every draft unchanged. One phrase that Jefferson never reconsidered, never revised, and never removed.Endowed by their Creator." The rights of man, in Jefferson's Declaration, do not come from Parliament or from the goodwill of kings. They come from God. They are not granted by governments and therefore cannot be permanently taken by governments. They are inalienable because they are divine. Every government that has ever tried to permanently crush human freedom has had to reckon with those three words. Rights that come from God cannot be finally extinguished by men.THE REFLECTIONRomans 13 has always been a difficult passage for readers who want an easy relationship between faith and politics. Paul's instruction that governing authorities are ordained of God was written under the Roman Empire.Power comes from God. All of it. Even the power of kings and tyrants is derivative, borrowed, contingent, accountable. The Declaration of Independence, read through this lens, is not a rejection of Romans 13. It is an application of it. When a government acts in direct contradiction to the source of its authority, the covenant is broken from above, not below. The Founders understood this. Their quarrel was not with the idea of government. It was with a government that had forgotten its accountability to God.Two hundred and fifty years later, the words still stand. "Endowed by their Creator." Three words that have outlasted every empire, every ideology, every philosopher who tried to replace them. They will outlast ours as well.THE PATRIOT'S PRAYERCreator God, we acknowledge that every right we possess is a gift from You, not a political achievement, not an accident of history, but a divine endowment. Forgive us when we have acted as though our freedom is self-generated or self-sustaining. We hold these truths because You are the Truth-giver. Guard them in our generation and in the generation that follows. In Jesus' name, Amen.PRAY IT FORWARD: Thank God today specifically for one freedom you possess, religious, political, or personal, that you most often take for granted. Ask Him to help you steward it faithfully.
Today we read the final chapter of Peter's final message before he died. He was martyred, as Jesus said he would be (John 21 v.18,19) but where is not known. Catholic's claim it happened in Rome, but there is no real evidence he ever went there, it was a story the church invented much later. St. Peters Church in Rome only began to be built in AD 320. It is much more likely that Peter died in Jerusalem.Peter's final verses are written to warn believers about scoffers and the chaos of “the last days.” His words about the last days were very apt as a warning about the fate that Jerusalem was to suffer. That was their first application, and the zealot Jews defending the city were scoffing about the promise of his return; 40 years had passed, only the elderly would remember Jesus in person. Now note what Peter is inspired to write! “Do not overlook this fact beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” [Ch.3 v.8], surely a reference to Psalm 90 v.4. Peter wrote that scoffers would ridicule those who believed in Christ's return, saying, “Where is the promise of his coming?” This is followed by the prediction that at that time people will be saying, “all things are continuing as they were from the beginning” [v.4] We see this as a reference to the belief in evolution, that there is no Creator – noting the Psalms also speak of those who say “there is no God” (Psalms 14 v.1; 53 v.1].Peter says that people will “deliberately overlook” [v.5] the fact of the destruction God brought about in Noah's time. Just as God acted to punish ungodliness then, he will do so again. Do we understand verse10? “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved … “ to be followed by a “new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” [v.13] As we have seen in Isaiah. reference to “heavens” can symbolises rulers, those whom people look up to! All human governments are going to panic and fail. “But according to his promise we are waiting for the new heavens” [v.13]. “Beloved, since you are waiting for these”, writes Peter, “be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.” [v.14] Let us believe his promise, it is the only hope, but it is a sure hope, for our godless world.

The structure, complexity, and functioning of the human brain gives glory to God, our Creator! With the advancements being made in brain scans, researchers are seeing just how incredibly magnificent the human brain really is. Recent findings indicate that the brain changes its wiring of neural circuits over the course of our lives. The phase of change known as adolescence kicks off around age nine, and then continues until around the age of thirty-two. While the bodies of our children and teens reach maturity during the teenage years, we have to understand that the brain is not yet fully formed. The last part to develop is the frontal lobe, which is responsible for decision-making and impulse control. Understanding this reality allows us to more fully understand our kids. This should not excuse poor decision-making or behavior during the teen years, but it does explain it. It should also motivate us to fulfill our God-given role to nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
True wisdom isn't measured by who you know or what you have, but by knowing and understanding God Himself.
