In high school, moving to Michigan during the Flint water crisis put him in the middle of public health work distributing water, which opened his eyes to health disparities. He wrestled with whether to stay in public health or become a physician, ultimately choosing medicine for its leadership and direct impact. Without a premed advisor on campus, he relied on upperclassmen, peers, and later SNMA for support. The MCAT was his biggest hurdle: a COVID-disrupted prep course, multiple false starts, and a hard reset on discipline and focus. He rebuilt from the ground up—starting with a baseline practice test, CARS timing drills, and accountability from a cousin who insisted he aim high. Gap years followed, shaped by family health needs and an AmeriCorps role serving ESL youth and a citizenship clinic. Omar's personal statement clicked only when he stopped hiding his family's influence and wrote honestly. He applied to 12 schools by location, earned two interviews, and received an email acceptance in nine days. He chose a school closer to family and with better finances. In med school, Pomodoro, Anki—and friends in 2 a.m. anatomy labs—keep him going, and he's candid about application costs and fee assistance options. What You'll Learn:- Turning MCAT overwhelm into a plan: baseline test, CARS timing, and discipline- How to prep interviews without a campus advisor using peers, strangers, and SNMA- Writing an authentic “Why Medicine” even with family in medicine- Making gap years count with service, growth, and purposeful timing- Weighing school choices by location, family, and finances

    Don't Wait for Inspiration

    The Chase Jarvis LIVE Show

Hey friends, Chase here Let's talk about something that gets romanticized way too much in the creative world: inspiration. We've been taught to wait for it. To trust it. To believe that the best work comes when lightning strikes, when the muse shows up, when the feeling is right. And while inspiration is real — and beautiful when it arrives — it's also wildly unreliable. That's the trap. If you build your creative life around inspiration, you build it around something you cannot control. And anything you can't control is a dangerous foundation for a meaningful body of work. This episode is about a better way. A steadier way. A more durable way. It's about why creativity doesn't really grow from waiting for a feeling — it grows from compounding action. Small acts. Repeated over time. Daily deposits into the account of your craft. Tiny efforts that don't seem like much in the moment, but eventually become impossible to ignore. Because the truth is simple: you do not need to feel inspired to make something meaningful. You need to begin. And then begin again tomorrow. The Real Problem With Waiting for Inspiration At the start of the episode, I ask a question that's worth sitting with for a minute: When was the last time you made something just for the sake of making it? Not for a client. Not for social media. Not because someone was expecting it. Not because it was due. Just because you felt a pull to create. For a lot of people, that question lands hard. Not because the desire to create is gone — but because somewhere along the way, the conditions got heavy. The pressure increased. The stakes changed. Creation stopped being play and started becoming performance. And once that happens, inspiration starts to feel like a requirement. Like you need the right mood, the right window of time, the right environment, the right burst of confidence before you can begin. But that's backwards. Inspiration is not the engine. It's the byproduct. The people who make meaningful work consistently are rarely sitting around waiting to feel magical. They're working. They're practicing. They're trying things. They're showing up on ordinary days. They're making imperfect things and learning from the process. They understand that action creates momentum — and momentum often creates the feeling we mistakenly thought had to come first. The Core Idea: Creativity Compounds Most people understand compounding in the context of money. You invest a little. That investment earns returns. Then those returns start earning returns of their own. If you stick with it long enough, the early effort starts to multiply in ways that seem almost disproportionate to the original input. That same principle applies to creativity. Every day you make something, you are making a deposit into your creative future. You're not just producing one photo, one page, one sketch, one draft, one conversation, one attempt. You're building skill. You're building confidence. You're building pattern recognition. You're building stamina. You're building trust with yourself. That one photograph teaches you how to see a little better tomorrow. That paragraph in your journal makes the next paragraph easier to write. That rough idea you abandon still shapes the way your brain approaches the next one. None of it is wasted. That's important, because a lot of creative people dismiss the small efforts. They only count the big breakthroughs. They only respect the obvious wins. They think the work "counts" once it becomes polished, public, profitable, or impressive. But real creative growth doesn't work that way. The invisible reps are where the change is happening. Why the Early Returns Feel So Small One reason people stop too soon is because the beginning is incredibly deceptive. You show up. You try. You make the thing. And at first? Not much seems to happen. You don't feel transformed. You don't suddenly become excellent. You don't necessarily get recognition. You may not even like what you made. That's normal. It's a lot like going to the gym. The first handful of workouts don't make you feel powerful. Usually they make you feel sore. Awkward. Behind. You don't see visible results yet, so your brain starts questioning whether the effort is worth it. That's exactly where most people quit. Not because the process isn't working — but because the results are still compounding beneath the surface. The habit is the investment. The work is the interest. And in the background, whether you notice it or not, something is building. What Compounding Looks Like in Real Life If you commit to a creative practice, the shifts usually happen in phases. Day one: you make something and it feels mediocre. Maybe embarrassing, even. You put it out there anyway. Or maybe you keep it private. Either way, you made something. That matters. Day 30: you've stayed with it long enough to feel a difference. You might not be able to articulate exactly how you're better, but something is changing. You're a little less hesitant. A little more practiced. A little more willing to hit publish, or share, or trust your instincts. Day 90: now the changes are harder to deny. You're solving problems faster. You're making decisions with more confidence. The work has a different quality to it — one that may be difficult to name but easy to feel. Day 365: this is where it gets almost shocking. You look back at who you were when you started, and it's hard to believe that version of you made the early work. Your skills have evolved. Your identity has evolved. The way you think has evolved. Not because inspiration struck once in a dramatic breakthrough — but because repeated practice changed you. That's the magic most people miss. The transformation doesn't come from a single moment. It comes from stacking enough ordinary moments that they eventually become extraordinary. Inspiration Follows Habit This may be the most important idea in the entire episode: Inspiration follows the habit. It does not precede it. Read that again. We tend to imagine that creative people feel inspired first, and then they make. But most of the time, the opposite is true. They make first. They enter the work first. They return to the practice first. And somewhere along the way, inspiration catches up to them. The muse is far more likely to visit the person already working than the person waiting for certainty on the couch. This matters because it gives you your power back. If you believe inspiration has to arrive before you begin, you are helpless every time it doesn't show up. If you understand that inspiration often arrives after action begins, then you're no longer blocked by your feelings. You can move anyway. That doesn't make the process robotic. It makes it resilient. Why Daily Practice Changes More Than Skill When people hear "practice," they often think only about technical improvement. Better camera work. Better writing. Better editing. Better design. Better speaking. Better execution. And yes — practice absolutely improves craft. But that's only part of the story. Practice also changes your mindset. It changes your tolerance for uncertainty. It changes your willingness to be seen before you feel ready. It changes your ability to recover from a rough day or a bad draft or a failed attempt. It changes your relationship to discomfort. Over time, you become tougher. Not harsher. Not more closed. Just sturdier. You stop interpreting every hard day as a sign you've lost your way. You start recognizing resistance as part of the process rather than proof that you should stop. That's a deep kind of growth. And it's only available through repetition. What Most People Get Wrong About Creative Success A lot of people think the biggest differentiator is talent. Sometimes they think it's access. Or timing. Or luck. Or confidence. And while all of those things may play a role, one of the most underrated advantages in any creative life is much simpler: The willingness to keep going. Most people quit. They stop when the returns are still invisible. They stop when it gets repetitive. They stop when they feel embarrassed. They stop when the novelty wears off. They stop when they don't get immediate validation. They stop when they confuse discomfort with misalignment. But if you stay in the game — if you continue stacking daily habits, continuing to invest, continuing to return to the work — you start benefiting from a force that only rewards consistency. You begin to outlast the people who were relying only on excitement. You begin to build a body of work that couldn't have been created any other way. You begin to trust yourself not because everything feels easy, but because you've proven that you can continue when it doesn't. What You'll Hear in This Episode This is a short micro show, but it carries a big message. Here's what to listen for: Why making something for play matters — and how easy it is to drift away from that instinct when everything becomes about output, audience, or obligation How the concept of compounding interest applies directly to creativity — and why small repeated actions build more than we realize Why the early phase of practice feels unrewarding — even when it's working exactly as it should What happens at day 1, day 30, day 90, and day 365 when you commit to daily creative action Why inspiration is a result of the habit, not the prerequisite for it How persistence quietly becomes one of the greatest creative advantages you can have Timecodes (So You Can Jump to What You Need) 01:47 – The opening question: when was the last time you made something just for play? 02:32 – Why we shouldn't lean on inspiration — and what to lean on instead 03:01 – The compounding interest metaphor and why it matters for creativity 03:57 – The realization that creativity compounds just like money does 05:07 – Why the early returns are invisible, and why most people quit too soon 06:12 – What compounding creativity looks like at day 1, 30, 90, and 365 08:32 – The key truth: inspiration follows the habit 09:26 – The reminder that most people quit — and why continuing matters 10:50 – Stacking daily habits and applying financial wisdom to creative life Read This If You've Been Waiting to Feel Ready If you've been telling yourself you'll get back to your craft once the spark returns, once life calms down, once you have more clarity, once you feel more confident — let this be your reminder: You do not have to wait to feel ready. You do not need a perfect plan. You do not need ideal conditions. You do not need a surge of confidence. You need one small act of participation. One honest page. One photograph. One sketch. One idea written down. One imperfect attempt. Because that's how momentum begins. Not with certainty. With movement. And often, once you reenter the practice, the feeling you were waiting for starts to reappear — not as a prerequisite, but as a companion. Questions to Ask Yourself If you want to turn this episode into action, spend a few minutes with these: When was the last time I made something purely for the joy of making it? Have I been waiting for inspiration instead of committing to a habit? What tiny daily action would count as a meaningful creative deposit right now? Where am I quitting too early because the results still feel invisible? What would change if I trusted repetition more than emotion? What kind of creator could I become in 30, 90, or 365 days if I simply kept going? A Simple Practice for Rebuilding Momentum If this episode speaks to where you are right now, here's a simple way to put it into practice: Choose one small creative act you can repeat daily for the next seven days Keep the bar low enough to actually do it Do it whether you feel inspired or not Track your consistency, not your brilliance At the end of the week, notice what changed — in your skill, your mood, your confidence, or your willingness to begin The goal here is not to impress yourself. It's not to prove anything. It's not to manufacture a breakthrough. The goal is to remember that creative momentum is built, not found. And once that momentum starts to compound, you'll realize something powerful: You were never actually waiting for inspiration. You were waiting to trust the process enough to begin. Until next time, make something for play, keep stacking the habit, and remember: don't wait for inspiration.

In 1992, as a freshman swimmer at Notre Dame, Haley Scott DeMaria survived a devastating bus accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors told her she would never walk again. But that wasn't a story she was willing to accept. Drawing on the mindset, discipline, and competitive spirit she developed as an athlete, Haley began the long road back — starting with something as small as wiggling her toes. What followed were months of grueling rehabilitation, multiple life-threatening surgeries, and relentless adversity. And then, just over a year later, she did the unthinkable. She returned to the pool… and won her first race back. A graduate of Notre Dame and later the University of Southern California, Haley went on to become an educator, coach, and nationally recognized speaker. Her journey has earned her numerous honors, including the Gene Autry Courage in Sport Award and the Honda Award for Inspiration. She is the author of What Though the Odds – Haley Scott's Journey of Faith and Triumph, a story now being adapted into a major motion picture. Today, Haley speaks across the country, inspiring audiences to reframe adversity, strengthen their mindset, and rise to challenges with purpose and perspective. Her story is a powerful reminder: we don't control what happens to us — but we always control how we respond. @hsdemaria, www.haleybook.com

Ben Rice is at the heart of the Brooklyn music scene, making records at his studio, Degraw Sound in Gowanus, since 2012. He's since worked with legends like Valerie June, The National, Joan Osborne, The Candles, and Northern Soul greats The Flirtations, earning him an Americana Producer of the Year nom along the way. What I love about Ben is that nothing about him is in a rush. This is a very chill podcast episode. I literally felt me blood pressure fall as we recorded this. That's part of the magic here!He was mentored by Eddie Kramer. He runs his sessions through a Trident console that used to belong to James Iha. He's been part of the indie rock revival, and he's working every day on new music, quietly making some of the best-sounding records in the city.We talk about the long arc from basement sessions to a room of his own, what it actually takes to build a studio that lasts, and why "calm and thorough" is underrated as a production philosophy. For 30% off your first year of DistroKid to share your music with the world click DistroKid.com/vip/lovemusicmore

https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260420dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” “What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place.” Luke 24:18-21 God’s Promises and Our Perception In 1928, scientist Alexander Fleming returned from vacation to find that one of his petri dishes had been contaminated with mold. It looked like a failure and ruined work. But when Fleming looked closer, he noticed something remarkable. Around the mold, the bacteria had died. What looked spoiled was actually powerful. That mold, penicillin, would go on to save hundreds of thousands of lives during World War II and millions more in the years that followed. Three days after Jesus’ death, two disciples were walking away from Jerusalem. With their faces downcast and their hearts full of disappointment. They said, “We had hoped…” They had hoped for redemption, freedom, and restoration for Israel. But Jesus had been crucified. To them, the cross looked like failure, like God’s plan had been ruined. But the cross wasn’t failure; it was success. There, Jesus satisfied God’s wrath. There, he paid for every sin. And three days later, Jesus proved it with an empty tomb. We know the feeling of having hope disappointed. We hoped the diagnosis would be different. We hoped the relationship would heal. He hoped the door would open. Sometimes God’s work in our lives looks like a ruined plan. But the cross teaches us it is better to trust God’s promises than our perceptions. What looked like defeat became salvation. What looked like death became life. In Jesus, your greatest problem has already been cured. Prayer: Lord Jesus, when plans don’t match my expectations, help me trust your promises. Remind me that your cross is never failure, but always my cure. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” Acts 2:32,36 Christ Lives to Reign King Cyrus of Persia, King David of Judah, Caesar Augustus of Rome—these are three of the countless people who have ruled nations and empires over the centuries. Some kings and kingdoms lasted for generations, while others were short-lived. As different as they were from each other, they all had one thing in common—they did not last. How uncertain life would be if all we had to lean on were these passing kings and kingdoms. Our immortal souls need something more. How eagerly, then, we listen to the words of the apostle Peter. He tells us of a far greater King. This King is the Lord Jesus Christ. Peter tells us of a far greater kingdom. Jesus’ kingdom will last for eternity. It didn’t always seem this way, though. Jesus’ enemies plotted for years to kill Jesus. Finally, they carried out their plans and crucified him. He didn’t seem like a king whose kingdom would last for eternity. But then came Easter. Jesus’ disciples ran to an empty grave. He had risen. He was still King, and his kingdom was still intact. Today, let Peter’s words give you strength. Be assured of this: your King lives to reign. He is the Lord of your heart. He is your eternal source of forgiveness and hope. Prayer: Lord Jesus, by your resurrection from the dead you proved that you are my Savior and Lord. This is a threshold week.If things feel accelerated, disorienting, or even unreal at moments, there is nothing wrong with you. This is what it can feel like when a collective initiation is underway and the ground of meaning itself begins to shift. At the center of it is a major transition. Uranus completes its long journey through Taurus and enters Gemini, where it will remain until 2033.We are already feeling this shift through the rapid rise of AI and the speed at which language, images, and information are now created and shared. This is one expression of Uranus in Gemini.Gemini governs the mind, perception, and communication. Uranus disrupts and accelerates. Together, they signal a revolution in how reality is constructed and understood. And it is happening quickly. Faster than most nervous systems and cultural structures can easily integrate. So if part of you feels awe, and part of you feels fear or grief, that makes sense. This is not just innovation. This is the unraveling of familiar ways of knowing.Key Cycles This Week:Monday: Mercury conjunct Saturn and Mars in Aries.Clarity meets pressure. Thought, action, and consequence come together. Discernment is essential.Thursday: Venus conjunct Uranus at the end of Taurus, then Venus enters Gemini.Venus foreshadows Uranus' threshold crossing, completing an eight-year cycle around values and security, and a subtle reorientation toward what is emerging.Saturday: Sun in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius. Uranus enters Gemini.A larger turning point. Systems of power and meaning continue to transform as the mental and informational field accelerates.Sunday: Venus in Gemini sextile Neptune. Mercury square Jupiter.Inspiration and imagination are available, along with the risk of over-amplification or distortion. This moment can feel apocalyptic for many. Not necessarily the end of the world, but the end of a world. The loss of shared certainty, stable narratives, and familiar ways of orienting. There is real fear and grief here.We are in the death throes of modernity. Systems built on separation and control are destabilizing, and they do not dissolve cleanly. And this is also an initiation. We are being asked to develop new capacities. To stay present within complexity. To discern what is real in a rapidly shifting landscape.AI can generate language, but it cannot replace embodied knowing, relational presence, or the deeper intelligence that arises from being connected to the web of life.Reflection QuestionsWhere am I feeling both curiosity and unease about the rapid changes in technology and communication? What helps me stay grounded in my own knowing as information accelerates? As familiar structures feel like they are unraveling, what deeper ground am I being asked to root into?Where do I feel a shift in what I value, relate to, or am willing to engage with, even if I can't yet fully name it?If you feel something is ending, you are not imagining it. And if you feel something new is quietly emerging, that is also here.Stay close to what is real in your direct experience and in human ways that cannot be automated.Podcast poem: In Those Years by AdrienneSupport the showGo to Sheila's website for information for transformational resources: https://www.ontheedgesofchange.comThis episode was co-created with generative AI, engaged as a soul-aligned ally in service of transformation. At the edge where technology meets myth, I choose insight over noise, and alchemy over automation. Thank you for dreaming the future with me.

In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9 Living Hope A person struggles with a dangerous sin. He has given in before. It’s such a struggle that some days he is ready to give in for good. But he hangs on, remembering the battle Jesus fought to set him free. He continues to fight, relying on God’s power that raised Jesus to life. And where there is life, there is hope. This new life is ours through the good news of the crucified and risen Jesus. Through this message, the Holy Spirit connects us to the accomplished work of our Savior. Jesus’ death becomes our death. Jesus’ life becomes our life—a living hope. Living hope is not skeptical. It does not get discouraged when life’s circumstances change. Living hope holds onto God’s indestructible inheritance. If you die or the world ends, it’s still yours. It can’t be spoiled by sin or sinful people. It won’t lose value over time. God is keeping it safe for you in heaven. By faith in Jesus, that inheritance is your salvation—eternal freedom from sin, death, and the devil’s power. So, rejoice! Jesus lives! And where there is life, there is hope. Prayer: Dearest Jesus, I praise you for the life, hope, and inheritance I have in you. And so, I consider it a joy if I must suffer for your name. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260417dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31 Written For Your Faith The apostle John closes his book with a purpose: “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” The resurrection appearances were not random miracles. They were signs. Proof. Testimony. Carefully preserved and proclaimed so that future generations—like us—might have certainty. Christian faith is not blind optimism. It rests on recorded, eyewitness history. The apostles saw Jesus. They touched him. They ate with him. And then they wrote. Why? So “that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” Notice the present tense: have life. Not only future glory, but also present peace and access to God. Jesus lives, and therefore you live. His victory becomes your victory. His declaration of sins forgiven becomes your declaration of peace with God. His promise to be with you always becomes your source of calm and courage. His selfless love for you becomes your motivation to selflessly love your neighbor. This is why we treasure the Bible. It is not merely a collection of inspiring thoughts. It is Spirit-breathed testimony to the living Jesus. Through it, Jesus still comes into locked rooms and hearts. Through it, he still shows his wounds. Through it, he still declares, “Peace be with you.” When doubts arise, return to what is written. When fear closes in, return to what is written. When guilt accuses, return to what is written. The resurrection of Jesus on Easter is not only an annual celebration. It is daily proof that your sins are forgiven and your future is secure. He lives to give you proof and peace. He lives—and in him, you have life. Prayer: Living Lord Jesus, anchor my faith in your written Word. Through it, grant me unshakable proof and enduring peace. Amen. Amazon API Data Pipelines & AI Design Workflows — Broad Match Show

    Seller Sessions

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 17, 2026 45:43

In this Broad Match Show, Danny McMillan and Adam Heist cover two of the most practical AI frontiers for Amazon sellers right now: getting direct API access to your Seller Central data and building a fully automated design workflow from inspiration through to live assets. Adam breaks down how he connected Amazon's SP API and Ads API to an AWS database and wired Claude Code directly to it — giving him real-time, queryable access to years of business data across any metric. No developer required. Danny walks through his 8-step system that takes a seller from a TikTok scroll to a finished, conversion-tested design with brand consistency baked in. Both share hard-won lessons on where AI gets you (the 70–85% mark) and where the human still needs to step in — plus a candid look at what's changing at Seller Sessions Live on May 9th. Key Topics Amazon API data pipeline — SP API + Ads API → AWS database → Claude Code for real-time analysis 8-step AI design workflow — Inspiration capture, memory/photo brain, brand system, mood board, asset generation, build, and quality gate CLI vs MCP — Why CLIs are becoming the cleaner integration path for tools like Google Workspace Seller Sessions Live (May 9th) — New modular format, no sponsors, £5,000 fine system for service providers pitching Health check-in — Adam on fitness goals; Danny on resolving a high ferritin (iron overload) diagnosis Timestamps [00:00] Welcome and introductions [01:10] Adam: Getting Amazon SP API and Ads API access as an individual brand [05:00] Storing API data in AWS and connecting it to Claude Code [07:30] Building custom dashboards and software from your own data [09:00] How to approach it if you're not technical — think first, screenshot issues, let Claude walk you through [12:25] Danny: 8-step AI design workflow overview [13:30] Step 1 — Inspiration capture from TikTok, YouTube, social reels [14:20] Steps 2–3 — Memory/photo brain + design system (52 world-leading brands baked in) [15:30] Steps 4–5 — TLDraw mood board + asset generation (Nano Banana 2, Gemini, Remotion) [17:50] Steps 6–7 — Build stage (React, Tailwind, ShadCN, Netlify deploy) [18:30] Step 8 — Quality gate (216-feature scoring: UX heuristics, typography, psychology) [19:30] Google Stitch + Perplexity demo: full brand system from a product title + screenshot [23:12] Adam: the 70–85% rule and how to think about AI-assisted design cycles [27:35] Danny: Google Workspace CLI for email — running launches under 3,000 contacts [29:26] Health updates — Adam on fitness; Danny on ferritin/iron overload and phlebotomy sessions [35:45] Seller Sessions Live May 9th — format, venue (inside a church), evening networking [41:49] The £5,000 fine system for service providers pitching at the event [43:01] Wrap-up Key Takeaways You can get Amazon API access as an individual brand — no developer credentials needed. SP API goes back 720 days; Ads API covers 60 days. Approval takes 1–2 days. AWS as a data warehouse for Amazon data — pipe the API into AWS, connect Claude Code to it, and query anything: anomalies, stock-outs, week-on-week comparisons, year-over-year trends. The non-technical workflow is: think → verbalize → screenshot issues → let Claude solve — you don't need to understand the infrastructure, just be clear on what you want to achieve. AI gets you to 70–85% fast — bring in your designer or team at stage 4, not stage 0. Cycle times drop from 6 weeks to 1 week. CLIs beat MCPs for tool integrations where available — less token overhead, fewer config issues, more cohesive experience in Claude Code. Google Workspace CLI can replace Mailchimp/Klaviyo for small lists — Gmail allows up to 3,000 sends per day; viable for product brand launches under that threshold. Seller Sessions Live is now sponsor-free and profitable on ticket revenue alone — the event model is shifting away from conference-style sponsorship dependency. https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260416dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:26-29 The Wounded Lord Draws Near A week after Jesus appeared to his disciples on Easter evening, he appears again. The doors are locked. This time, Thomas is present. Jesus speaks directly to him. “Put your finger here; see my hands… Stop doubting and believe.” What mercy! Jesus repeats Thomas’s own words back to him—not to mock, but to invite. The Lord had heard his doubt. And now he answers it with the proof of his wounds from the cross. Even in resurrection glory, Jesus keeps the marks of crucifixion as proof of his undeserved love. Thomas responds with the clearest confession in John’s Gospel: “My Lord and my God!” Thomas declares who Jesus is—God himself—and who Jesus is to him—his Lord. His doubt is transformed into worship. Jesus then speaks to us: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” This is not second-class faith. It is faith grounded in the testimony of the apostles. The eyewitnesses saw so that we may trust their proclamation. We do not touch his wounds physically. However, we encounter the same crucified and risen Jesus in his Word and in the Lord’s Supper. In the Lord’s Supper, Jesus provides individual sinners with the ongoing assurance that his body and blood have been given and shed for them. He lives. And his living presence continues to comfort wounded consciences. Your wounds, too, are known to him. By his death and resurrection, he transformed your guilt into peace, your temporary pain into enduring hope, and your momentary sorrows into joy that will last forever. Thomas received what he asked for and more. He received a living Savior. So do you. Prayer: My Lord and my God, thank you for meeting my doubts with mercy. Keep my faith anchored in your wounded yet victorious body. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS.
