Today, we go to therapy to give each other a kick in the ass. It's easy to fall into a rut and today we look at examples that we've done and seen as coaches that can get us moving the right direction. We look at things like mood, injuries, illness, and how we shift our mindset to get things moving the right direction. We all about the challenges of recovery and how to embrace them. We look aligning the mind and body when they are fighting each other. We talk about excuses and getting rid of impending doom cycles. We can't all be the best, but we can be the best of ourselves. How might we relate to the standards that our culture hands us around parenting, partnering, working, and being a person? On the one hand, they can be of immense value. They can give us a way to orient to what might be important and worth paying attention to. But on the other hand they can be stultifying, the source of endless comparison and self-criticism, and an impossible goal of perfection. And they can leave us feeling very alone as we look around us and imagine that other people's lives are not as messy, confusing, and unpredictable as ours are. So can we might find a more life-giving way to relate to the standards and ideals we choose to live by? What might happen if instead of turning to social media and our own fantasies about other people, we turned simultaneously towards our own way of knowing and to the wisdom of others around us as we each take our next steps in the roles in life we're pursuing? Here's our source for this week, from a message between Molly, a mum, and her birth doula Natalie. Not Trying to Be Perfect Hello Natalie… I cannot tell you how much more content I am now that I have ditched social media and trying to be perfect. I have a wonderful set of mum friends and we can go to each others' houses even when it's so untidy it looks like we've been burgled, join in with whatever that night's plans for tea are and let our kids play or fall asleep on the sofa while we hang out. It's great. The Shirley Hughes book is so lovely. Nobody in her illustrations has an immaculate house or sensory play bins. Her children accompany mums and dads on errands and cooking and gardening and the school run. That's enough. I've gone back to a corporate job and really, in what industry would you ask one person to work day and night shifts as CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, personal assistant, drive, head of logistics, head of learning and development, washerwoman, cleaner and cook all in one. It's ridiculous. No wonder so many parents are miserable. They feel like a failure because we set impossible expections. Which leads me back to the only tick list one should have at the end of day… ‘all fed, none dead, mostly in bed'. My new standard is… everyone warm and dry, clean bum, have we been outside, full tummies, making sure we eat some vegetables, not too much telly, focusing on kindness to each other. I find it so much easier to REALLY feel my red lines/bondaries this way. It works for us. Lots of love Molly Photo by Luis Tosta on Unsplash
Join me on a long ride while I talk about how Wu Wei (Flow and Not Trying) is incredibly useful in endurance sports and also in your own life. If you follow the show on YouTube, you can watch while I ride as well. Wu Wei and Not Trying is critical for being able to put in the big volume to be successful at endurance sports. If you try too hard, you burn out or get injured or both. I talk about multiple ways you can use Wu Wei on the swim, bike, and run and also in everything else you do. Enjoy!
In a world that often seems to be moving at breakneck speed, where the pressure to succeed and the fear of falling behind can feel overwhelming, it's easy to get caught up in the trap of constant striving. We push ourselves to work harder, move faster, and achieve more, often at the cost of our own well-being and inner peace. But what if there was another way? What if, instead of struggling and forcing our way through life, we could learn to align ourselves with the natural flow of the universe and achieve our goals with ease and grace? Picture yourself swimming in a vast, calm lake. As you glide through the water, you may notice that the more you struggle and fight against the water, the more exhausted you become. Your muscles tense, your breathing becomes labored, and you may even start to sink. But what happens when you relax and allow yourself to flow with the water? Suddenly, you find that you can move with ease and grace. You use less energy, but you travel farther and faster. You're no longer fighting against the natural resistance of the water, but instead, you're working with it.This is the essence of wu wei - learning to align ourselves with the natural flow of life, rather than struggling against it. Just as swimming with the current conserves energy and allows us to move with greater efficiency, practicing wu wei in our daily lives helps us achieve our goals with less effort and more ease.
There's so much I wanted to talk to Zach Abraham about. Google has lost dollars in value following the Gemini launch. Will ETFs be affected by this? Also, a former Boeing executive refuses to fly on Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, saying they are death traps. Will the Fed raise interest rates? What will happen if they do? And, Zach shares as we discussed the question, in a godless world how do we remain godly with your money? What does God's Word say? Proverbs 23:4-5 4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.1 Timothy 6:9-119 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.Final Charge to Timothy11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.Episode 1,438 Links:Google loses $70 Billion in market value following Woke Gemini AI exposed‘I'm Not Trying to Cause a Scene. When I say, “confidence”, what comes to mind for you? Really? Do you feel confident, and how do you define confidence? Today I'm going to help you answer these questions for yourself, and get to know what true confidence really is by redefining your confidence. Because confidence is not only overrated, it's misunderstood. This topic was inspired by a Facebook Live I did earlier today on my Dr. Shannon Page, while I was wearing my “infamous” pants. I did an episode about the blue version of these pants a while ago. One of the big things that gets in the way of confidence is COMPARISON. The truth is, comparison never works! We can never win in the game of comparison. Being BETTER than someone else isn't confidence. So what does “Overrated Confidence” mean? How can we learn from it? One of the BIG KEYS to confidence is LOVING yourself well…what you are, who you are, what you're all about. But let's go even deeper… So many people are seeking confidence. Why? Seriously, I believe it's overrated. Why? Because it's misunderstood. Being confident for the sake of confidence isn't really confidence. We may think it is, but it's not. It's time to REDEFINE CONFIDENCE. The opposite of confidence is insecurity. What's insecurity? The bigger concern is what's causing the insecurity. Identify what's causing your insecurity. This will help you redefine what true confidence means to you. Insecurity is selfish. For you to be insecure you have to be thinking about what everyone else is thinking about you. Insecurity is very self-centered. When we get our minds centered too much on ourselves, we can get insecure very quickly. This is also where fear comes from. Fear comes from being focused too much on ourselves. If the truth about YOU is that you're NOT selfish, then you ARE confident. Deep down. This IS the truth about you. Confidence redefined is TRUTH. Insecurity is popular…and it's very common. Insecure people strive to be popular. Pretending like you're confident to prove to someone else that you're confident (or popular) is again, OVERRATED. It's a huge, deceptive game! True confidence isn't even about confidence. It's about TRUTH. The truth about you. You being your most authentic self and loving yourself well. Confidence is standing in that truth and love. Being the TRUE, CONFIDENT YOU. Not TRYING to be, but BEING. Confidence is knowledge of, belief in, living in the truth. This is TRUE CONFIDENCE. If you'd like to truly express your confident self... You must let go of insecurity. You must let go of trying to strive to be popular. You must let go of the selfishness. THAT IS CONFIDENT. THAT IS CONFIDENCE. Standing in the truth about who you are, what and why you are. Knowledge of the truth will set you free. Confidence is freedom. Because confidence is truth. Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY'S SACRED S.O.L. Sometimes we think we are doing the work to better our relationships but actually are creating more burdens for us to bear to not get out of having honest conversations with our people. Here are some ways we are & aren't doing the work.Show Notes:I started all of the relationships I was in as a people pleaser. This meant that I would always be catering to what their needs were, taking the blame for anything going wrong and never even sharing my needs, but just accepting whatever attitude, abuse or attention I would get. It's nice to say now that I know this isn't the way to be in relationships, romantic or not, but it still hurts to think about what how I let myself be taken for granted & not appreciated as much as I should have been. And I'm not saying it was all the fault of the person I was with because it is definitely my fault that I didn't stand up for myself or attempt to instigate any change. Being a people pleaser or just allowing someone to treat you a certain way is not only their fault. You have to take the responsibility of at least trying to get changes to happen. If you don't, you're allowing yourself to be a victim. But if you have tried to do something about the way people treat you and nothing changes, that's a whole different situation.I'm sure you're familiar with the idea that relationships take work. You gotta put in the time, energy & willingness to communicate with each other and figure out whatever it is. But I think a lot of people don't realize that putting in work is different than taking abuse & being pushed around. When you put in the work in a relationship, you are doing what you believe will help you get on the same page, understand each other better & minimize any fights/disagreements that lead to larger blowouts & hurt feelings. But again, we need to be aware of what doing the work actually looks like & what someone that is more controlling & manipulative would see as YOU doing work but it's really hurtful, not helpful & abusive.Today I want to share with you examples of what it looks like to put work into a relationship and what it looks like when you're just being abused. Here are 5 examples of what putting work into a relationship is NOT:Trying to change the other person.Walking on eggshells.Tolerating dishonesty.Allowing them to be disrespectful.Having your boundaries crossed regularly. Here are 5 examples of what putting work into a relationship IS:Working on your triggers.Practicing patience & being kind.Learning to compromise.Communicating your needs.Asking for help.Thank you so much for listening!! Today's episode is a bit juicy as I share feelings in REAL TIME about recently quitting my corporate job and how it took immense COURAGE and BLIND BELIEF to get out of my comfort zone and freakin GO FOR IT! When we're at a crossroads faced with difficult decisions, FEAR can hold us back from attempting new opportunities. Massive GROWTH = taking massive LEAPS outside our comfort zone. Ask yourself: how would the pain of REGRET of NOT TRYING feel? How would the pain of being in the EXACT same spot one year from now feel? (If you are striving for a different outcome one year from now.) It's a huge, deceptive game! Being totally committed means you are “Not Trying, You Are Training”. Allowing God to perfect His work in you, so that you can reflect Who He is and How He has changed your life so that other will see the work He has done. Committed doesn't mean perfect. Committed doesn't mean done. Committed doesn't mean you are accomplished. The more your life mirrors and reflects the Good News of Jesus the more that you will have influence in the front row of your life.

Have you ever found yourself really timid in the face of an investment opportunity? Maybe there are investments that you're interested in making, but you just can't seem to push yourself to take the leap or decide if it's worth the risk. If that sounds like something you grapple with, then this is the episode for you! Today, I'm talking about an actual process you can use to decipher whether you want to make an investment and how you can fairly evaluate it once you do. I have used this process many times and have found it useful in evaluating my own investment choices, learning a lot from what this process uncovers time and time again. You can do the same! Here's what I cover in this episode: Setting the Investment Stage Showing Up for Your Investment Understanding the Risk of Not Trying I hope that this episode helps you figure out which investments are right for you and, furthermore, allows you to evaluate if they were the right choice once you spend the right amount of time nurturing them. How many times have you heard yourself say, "I'm trying to finish this painting?" Or "I'm trying to start a business?" Or "I'm trying to write a musical?" Bottom line is, if you keep just "trying" to do those things, you won't ever actually DO it! In today's episode, Leslie teaches you the Art of NOT Trying. Dr Jenny Brown explains wellbeing and maturity in the context of your “family system”. --- “One of the distinctives about Bowen family systems theory is, it isn't about people who have mental illness and people who don't. It's about all of us humans struggling with very similar issues. … There's not really this distinction between the expert who's got her life together and the client who is seeking help.” Dr Jenny Brown is the founder of the Family Systems Institute and the author of several books, including Growing Yourself Up: How to Bring Your Best to All of Life's Relationships. She is an enthusiastic proponent of Bowen family systems theory - a theory of human behaviour that focuses on how our identity and wellbeing as individuals is a function of the relationship webs we are embedded within. Drawing on her clinical experience, research, family background, and personal faith, Jenny joins Simon Smart and Natasha Moore for a conversation about adulting, birth order, responsibility, dysfunction, intensity, and the process of change. “We grow our resilience and our responsibility and our coping mechanisms within the laboratory of our important relationships - even the difficult relationships. But if we avoid difficulty, if we avoid learning to hold our boundaries, manage our reactivity, our emotions getting stirred up … if we can do that in our original family, then we can do it anywhere. That's the real place of a good workout for growing the capacity to be a flourishing human in the world.” --- Explore: 2021 New College Lectures, “Nurture: Confronting a Crisis” Family Systems Institute Growing Yourself Up: How to Bring Your Best to All of Life's Relationships Confident Parenting: Restoring Your Confidence as a Parent By Making Yourself the Project and Not Trying to Change Your Child Bowen Family Systems Theory in Christian Ministry The Parent Hope Project --- Need help? Ever thought of living life away from the City (FOR REAL). How would that be, this is exactly what Harshita and Her Husband thought like a decade ago, and finally after really hitting the toll of the City life and the fast paced & Hectic Work cycles they finally made the switch to live in the middle of nowhere. Technically, its in the Pench Reserve Forest, but still it is far away from the "City" life. Now living a life far away in the middle of a forest is not as easy as it sounds, I am sure a lot of us would have thought of doing the exact same thing, at some point or the other. You wont exactly know if it is the life meant for you, or not until you try it, and trust me staying there for a few days is NOT TRYING. And in the middle of this Huge life Changing shift, guess what, Coffee did play an important role in the life of Harshita. We got in touch earlier this year, while i was travelling from Bangalore to Gurgaon on my motorbike. She got in touch and asked if I would like to visit her café (yes there is a cafe that is in the middle of this FOREST, serving Specialty Coffee - including and not only @bluetokai coffee) and I was like, Hell yes would love to do that. That's how we met and I feel so blessed to have met her and have connected with her. That's when I decided, more people should listen to her story. Harshita introduces herself as - 'A mum of two, looking to create a sustainable, slower and flavorful life. My work must reflect my ideologies. EARTH SONG is a sustainable, souvenir shop, showcasing handcrafted goods from the region and also a café that calls for you to stop the hustle, wait patiently for your coffee and enjoy the simple pleasures. you can get in touch with her on the below links - Shop & Café: earthsongindia on Instagram for stay : www.tigernwoods.com India inspired superfoods :- www.pranasuperfoods.in

Time to Rise & Thrive with Jackie Mott When a baby is learning to walk, how many times do they fall down? Every time they fall down, aren't they failing? But we would never be upset with them, would we? That's because we know that every time they fall down, they learn a bit more so they can perfect the process of walking isn't it? So what do we do? We celebrate their failing! What if you could perceive your own failures in the same way? What if every mistake was teaching something vital to your life? Would you be willing to look at your failures as a necessary part of learning whatever it is you need to learn rather than from a place of wrongness and judgment? Join Jackie Mott on this week's episode of Time to Rise & Thrive, “If You're Not Failing, You're NOT Trying”, where she will share how she learned to re-frame failure as a necessary part of learning that helps you move forward and determine what really matters to you. Join in the Live Chat Room too!!! https://inspiredchoicesnetwork.com/chatroom ~ More About Time to Rise & Thrive with Jackie Mott~ Jackie Mott is a Mindset Coach and a Facilitator of Change. Author Rob Nelson calls in to chat about the great outdoors and his new book Mother Nature is Not Trying to Kill You: A Wildlife & Bushcraft Survival Guide, which was written with Haley Chamberlain Nelson. The book does a terrific jobs of discussing everything you might be scared of coming across in the wild, with a great balance between reminding readers that most of these animals really do not want to kill you, and advice for what to do if you should find yourself in an extreme situation. We talk about some of Rob's amazing experiences, and get into Sharks, and Bears, and Pythons, and more, as well as the importance of getting out and enjoying nature. Starting with a quote from a tea bag, I share my spontaneous journey to create this podcast episode to illustrate the Taoist principle of “wu wei”—effortless action. I share readings from the books “Hua Hu Ching” by Brian Walker; “Tales from the Tao” by Solala Towler; and “White Fire” by Mooji during this talk. I also quote a parable from the NYTimes article, “A Meditation on the Art of Not Trying” by John Teirney (link: https://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/16/science/a-meditation-on-the-art-of-not-trying.html ). Because confidence is not only overrated, it’s misunderstood. Being BETTER than someone else isn’t confidence. So what does “Overrated Confidence” mean? How can we learn from it? One of the BIG KEYS to confidence is LOVING yourself well…what you are, who you are, what you’re all about. But let’s go even deeper… So many people are seeking confidence. Why? Seriously, I believe it’s overrated. Why? Because it’s misunderstood. Being confident for the sake of confidence isn’t really confidence. We may think it is, but it’s not. It’s time to REDEFINE CONFIDENCE. The opposite of confidence is insecurity. What’s insecurity? The bigger concern is what’s causing the insecurity. Identify what’s causing your insecurity. If the truth about YOU is that you’re NOT selfish, then you ARE confident. Deep down. This IS the truth about you. Confidence redefined is TRUTH. Insecurity is popular…and it’s very common. Insecure people strive to be popular. Pretending like you’re confident to prove to someone else that you’re confident (or popular) is again, OVERRATED. It’s a huge, deceptive game! True confidence isn’t even about confidence. It’s about TRUTH. If you’d like to truly express your confident self... Brian Mayer brings back his favorite guest – his wife Heather Mayer. In today's episode, they both talk through what are some of the foundational pieces of the relationship that helps to keep their bond strong. Take some of what you hear today and work to implement these things into your own relationship. Just because a past marriage didn't work out, doesn't meant that the next one won't work out. Listen to this episode with your significant other so you can get the most out of what you are hearing together. We hope you enjoy today's message. For more information and additional resources please visit our website at http://www.theremarriedlife.com Today's Goodies Ever heard the quote, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.” This one is often quoted to Albert Einstein but apparently this is not true and some research on the subject shows that it may have been attributed to Rita Mae Brown an author who wrote this in her 1983 book called Sudden Death. But that is not what is most important. It is the quote itself. We can't keep doing in our current relationships what we did in our past relationships. “2+2” is always going to equal “4.” In order to get “5” we have to change one of the parts. If we don't we will continue to get “4” as the answer. Let's talk about a more positive thought or quote and that is “If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I'll bet they'd live a lot differently” by Bill Watterson (cartoonist who wrote “Calvin and Hobbes”). This might mean different things to different people, but it could mean that we have to get outside our current situation sometimes and look at the relationship as a whole and spend more time thinking and cultivating that than putting so much time in the “Argument du jour (of the day).” Today Brian and Heather will talk about some ways that they work and interact together, that helps them take their eyes off of the tornado that might be presently surrounding them and onto the calm waters of the type of relationship they truly desire. Forgiveness is very important. This is letting your partner off the hook and to stop punishing them for something they have done. It doesn't mean you trust again or that you condone the behavior. Sometimes you have to do this from afar if safety is an issue and abuse is present. Spending Time Together. In today's busy and crazy world, with long work hours, different schedules, kids, and their activities this one can be difficult. Be proactive when it comes to this one. If you both belong to the gym and can coordinate working out together as an example then do that. Or after the kids go to bed make it a point to spend a bit of quality time together. Letting Things Go. This one can be a bit like forgiveness but it more has to do with the individual mental choice to move on from a situation. This can really help to promote better good will, when you can remember a situation that did not go well but you can't remember the specifics of what you talked about. Of course don't sweep things under the rug but also don't hold grudges. Not Trying to Change The Other. If you spend a lot of your time trying to change someone else you might be waiting a long time. Sometimes it might never happen. Spend most of your time reflecting on what you are doing and how might you work on changing. Often this type of thinking will have a positive impact on changing your partner (sometimes not though). Dealing With Past Baggage. This one is difficult because we often do not realize that we are reacting to our current spouse because of something that was done in our past relationship or childhood. The first step in doing anything about this is recognizing it is happening and then secondly working to disconnect from it. If you can't do this on your own then seeking help from a professional that can certainly speed that process up. Spiritual Beliefs. In Heather and Brian's case, they have a strong Christian faith. While not perfect they both will work to grow closer to God and in doing so usually grow closer to each other. Think about a triangle with each of you at the different points in the base and God at top as you grow closer to God you will automatically grow close to each other. Prioritize Each Other's Love Language. The 5 Love Languages according to the book by Gary Chapman are Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Acts of Service, Quality Time, and Gifts. For Brian, his greatest love language is words of affirmation while Heather's is physical touch. They both work hard to make sure they are loving the other in that love language. In this episode: Borrowing belief when you need it Act like your future self now Putting in the reps Being willing to suck until you don’t I am so excited you are here today for this topic because I feel like it is just so relevant. Regardless of your stage of life, or tenure in your career path, if your an entrepreneur or not, we all have to constantly work on building belief in ourselves in order for us to do ANYTHING in life. & honestly the more I think about it- I am more afraid of NOT TRYING than I am of failing, mainly because I KNOW I will fail but also because underneath that is the constant striving that I have towards building up my own belief muscle. Today I wanted to dig into three main ways that you can start borrowing belief until you can BUILD your belief on your own. I hope you get some EPIC takeaways & I can’t wait to hear what you think! “It’s gonna take you time, but what’s the freakin alternative? You’re not gonna give up on your dreams. Not You. Not this time.” Quotes: “I’m more afraid of not trying, and living a life of shoulda woulda couldas, than I am of FAILING.” “We’re instead gonna ask questions like, how good can I get? How far can I go? How many people can I impact? How many minds can I blow, including my own?” “Are you willing to suck until you don’t suck anymore?” “It’s all about the confidence deposits that you put in your bucket along the way in pursuit of where you wanna go. It’s not about the end goal.” Resources: Life is RIGGED in YOUR FAVOR episode of EmpowerHER Check out ALL my favorite things on Amazon (trampolines, books, & more!) Here is Victoria's ONE-Star Review: "One of the most annoying whiny people I’ve heard that’s trying to be a self-help guru. I literally cannot listen to her again." 1. Annoying? Yeah, I can definitely be a little (or a lot) annoying at times. The truth can be annoying, until we welcome it in...and it sets us free. 2. Whiny? No, I have to disagree on this one. I'm definitely not whiny. Well, unless I don't feel well, and I'm looking for sympathy... (But that only happens when I'm with my dear Love, Pablo or my precious daughter, Anni.) 3. Trying to be a self help guru? Nope. I'm definitely NOT TRYING. "Trying" wouldn't get me to do this every single day for the past 275 days and episodes. AND... I'm definitely NOT your guru. Or trying to be anyone else's self-help guru. Instead, I'm simply sharing what's in my heart to share. Which, by the way, has worked in my life...and in the lives of countless women and men around the world. 4. I literally cannot listen to her again. Cannot listen again? OR WON'T? It’s sounds as though she may need to. So what is it about, really, Victoria? I'll tell you, and anyone else who cares to listen... This is what it’s about… It's not about MORE. It’s simply about ONE. It’s about the ONE who shows up. Today. It’s about the ONE who keeps sharing even when MORE isn’t enough. It’s when you’re ENOUGH, even without MORE. It’s about the ONE who does listen, not the ONE who doesn’t. It’s about being YOU, even when NO ONE is watching or listening. Many will hear, but not as many will listen. Many will look, but few will see. When you’re called to do something. Do. When you’re called to say something. Say. Something. When you’re living your life for an audience of ONE, it’s not necessarily about MORE. It’s about your CORE. It’s about what’s inside. It’s about DESIRE. It’s not about DOING MORE or SAYING MORE…WANTING MORE or HAVING MORE. It’s about being YOU. FULLY YOU. ALL OF YOU. ONE MORE DAY. Not necessarily MORE in a day. Consistently showing up one more day. For the rest of your life. Regardless of who follows…as long as you’re following YOUR TRUTH. TRYING TO BE MORE? How’s that working for you? I'm definitely not trying to be more. However, I'm being me. Sharing the message that I've been called to share. I'm doing my life's work. It may not work for you, but it works for me... Even though SHE IS, "One of the most annoying whiny people I’ve heard that’s trying to be a self-help guru. I literally cannot listen to her again." I sure hope not. Because it sounds as though Victoria needs to listen to someone…and that someone is YOU, my dear. TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION! Welcome back and thank you for SHARING this podcast with others! Spring has arrived! How do I know? The weather can't make up it's mind... like many of my clients and probably some of you listening! :) Like I mentioned in last week's podcast, it's the Season of NEW! Did you think of something NEW to do? A NEW way (process) to do something? Or even give NEW life to an old idea or unachieved goal? I also had you review your 1st quarter, so perhaps you were busy with that eh?! Each quarter should be a time of reflection as well as looking forward with "NEW"! New adjusted action steps, ideas, processes and energy! I dug out of a folder an old idea that I'm finally bringing to life. It's the VIP "Challenge" Day! For those here in Indiana, this will be held April 27th. It's an idea that has laid dormant for about two years. And, as I was asking my clients what was something NEW they were going to do, I was asked the same question. So, I decided to BREATHE LIFE into this! And we'll see what happens! What about YOU? This month is the "testing field" for NEW! I don't care if it's trying something new with your health, like adding spinach to your morning smoothie! How about attending a NEW networking event or group? What if you JUMPED IN and launched that new product or service you've been "thinking" about for years (like me!)? Like Michael Jordan's quote says, "Failure is acceptable, NOT TRYING is NOT!" So, I'll ask again, email me, post here... LET'S DO THIS PEOPLE! There is NO TIME LIKE NOW to try! And, if you can't find your BADASSNESS... email me, or click here to schedule a session and I'll help you realize your BADASSNESS and, together we'll make amazing shit happen! Have a great week! Cheers! Sandi
When I say, “confidence”, what comes to mind for you? Really? Do you feel confident, and how do you define confidence? Today I’m going to help you answer these questions for yourself, and get to know what true confidence really is by redefining your confidence. Because confidence is not only overrated, it’s misunderstood. This topic was inspired by a Facebook Live I did earlier today on my Dr. Shannon Page, while I was wearing my “infamous” pants. I did an episode about the blue version of these pants a while ago. (EPISODE 064: My Exotic Pants And Red Shoes Got Noticed) One of the big things that gets in the way of confidence is COMPARISON. The truth is, comparison never works! We can never win in the game of comparison. If you’d like to truly express your confident self... D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP: Write down when you feel the most confident. “I feel most confident when _______________.” Take a look at it, and why it allows you to feel so confident. Focus on it. Then ask yourself, “What’s TRUE about this for me?” FOCUS ON THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU. Thank you for being here, and allowing me to sip on life with you. On the Overthinking it Podcast, we eventually get around to talking about the film adaptation of Stephen King’s “It.” Episode 480: Jason is Not Trying to Scare You originally appeared on Overthinking It, the site subjecting the popular culture to a level of scrutiny it probably doesn't deserve. Holding Space is a concept that I've explored for awhile, with some really powerful results. It's really the combination of Practicing Kindness, Allowing Expression, Being Present, Practicing Non-Judgement and Not Trying to "Fix" your CoParent. The reason this is important is because it allows you to get a deeper understanding and cycle of trust from your CoParent.
