Forever Young Radio Show with America's Natural Doctor Podcast
Americans are more stressed than ever before due to the pandemic, financial situations, medications, overconsumption of alcohol, imbalanced diet, poor gut health, and environmental toxins. As a result, many people are tired, depressed, have poor memory and focus, and have weakened immune systems.According to research, Boosting B vitamin levels quickly improves energy. A deficiency of just one B vitamin will negatively affect the complex production of energy (ATP) in your cells. While people usually think of Supplemental B12 for energy, one will typically get better results with a full spectrum B complex since many of the B's are involved in ATP production.Recently Dr. Mark Stengler, NMD. put out a helpful article that can be found here. Many medications deplete the body of B vitamins. Examples include acid reflux medications such as the Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs), Prednisone, Metformin, Antibiotics, Birth Control Pills, Anti-seizure medications, Antidepressants, Chemotherapy drugs such as Methotrexate, and several others. Research has shown that the elderly who take three or more medications are prone to B vitamin deficiencies such as B2, B6, Folate, and B12.Helpful ArticleLearn more about Emerald Labs Listeners of the show can save 20% with the code: Forever
Good day listeners this is your host Michael Martinz with new and improved Martinz ELEVATED Review broadcasting today from a rather chilly and snowing morning here in south central, British Columbia. In today's program we will re-examine a rather prophetic paper from May 2021 covering the potential, and now realised harmful effects of the C19 injections. We will then cover the mechanisms by which glyphosate disrupts deuterium homeostasis and impacts human health. Today on the program we welcome back a regular contributor and dear friend, Dr. Stephanie Seneff. A Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Dr Seneff received her BSc in Biophysics, an MSc and Electrical Engineering degree, and a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - all from MIT. For over three decades, her research interests have always been at the intersection of biology and computation. She has published over 170 peer reviewed articles, and has been invited to give multiple keynote speeches at international conferences. Her recent interests have focused on the role of toxic chemicals and micronutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a special emphasis on the pervasive herbicide, glyphosate, and the mineral sulfur. Her book on glyphosate, entitled "Toxic Legacy: How the Weedkiller Glyphosate Is Destroying Our Health and the Environment," was released by Chelsea Green publishers on July 1, 2021. This book was selected by Kirkus Reviews as one of the best non-fiction books of 2021. Recently Dr. Seneff has become fascinated with the role of deuterium in health and disease, and the mechanisms by which glyphosate disrupts deuterium homeostasis. For those listeners who may have missed Dr. Seneff's previous appearances, those episodes for your reference are #124, #93, #73 and #22. We need a renewal of our thinking about what we call poverty. If we want to understand disadvantage better and therefore be better suited to create real solutions, we need to put the center on places, instead of on people. Joining us to help reframe our thinking, is Dr. Kathryn J. Edin, professor of sociology and public affairs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs. She specializes in the study of people living on welfare. Her reporting has been cited as essential material for understanding the lived experience of poverty in America. Recently Dr. Edin and her team were contacted by RWJF to research poverty from the lens of place. The result of that work is the book we are talking about, The Injustice of Place.

Dr. Grauer retired from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2006. travelersinthenight.org Today's 2 topics: - Most asteroids that we observe have been baked by the Sun for billions of years. As a result, any ices or frozen gases that they may have once possessed are long gone. Comets on the other hand have spent so much time far from the Sun that they still contain volatile materials. As a typical comet approaches the Sun, the frozen gases and ices it contains evaporate to form a beautiful coma and a long tail. - Recently Dr. Adam Frank of the University of Rochester and Dr. Woodruff Sullivan of the University of Washington published a paper in which they addressed the question "What are the odds that humans are the only technological species that has ever arisen in a given volume of space"? Humans continue to look into the night sky and wonder what is out there. The immense distances and the uncertain lifetime of an advanced civilization make it seem unlikely that we will discover intelligent beings outside of Earth. However, I remain hopeful of one day waking to the news that we have received signals from thinking beings which live elsewhere in the Milky Way. How to Become a Member of the Two Comma Club, Ep #56This episode focuses on the behaviors needed to become a member of the two-comma club. What exactly is the two-comma club? Well, it's just a different way of saying how to become a millionaire, since one million dollars is represented by 7 numbers, the number 1 followed by 6 zeros, consequently there are two commas required to break those numbers up.In this episode...Who Wants to be a Millionaire [01:26]USA has a lot of millionaires [03:23]The Abundance Mentality [05:49]Prerequisites to becoming a Millionaire: The Success Sequence [07:28]What you should do [09:20]What happens to those that didn't model the behaviors [14:13]Years ago there was a hugely popular game show entitled Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. It captivated the American public. The television network ABC first launched the American version of the game show in 1999 and it became the highest-rated television show later that year, and has since had 21 seasons with several different celebrities serving as the game show host.In 2023 here in the US of A, we have never had more millionaires than we do right now. Based on the latest estimates from the Federal Reserve there are around 16 million American households with a net worth of $1 million or more. That's up from fewer than 10 million millionaire families in 2019.While saving and investing are important behaviors to cultivate on the path to becoming financially independent (or a millionaire) there are prerequisites behaviors that must be mentioned. In an opinion piece in the WSJ by the wonderful Jason Riley, he emphasized the success sequence. That sequence is often credited to research done by Brookings Institution scholars Isabel Sawhill and Ron Haskins, though others have made similar observations. The success sequence is simply this:If you finish high school, get a job, and get married before having children, you have a 98% chance of not being in poverty.Recently Dr. Melissa Kearny, MIT-trained economist wrote a book entitled The Two-Parent Privilege. In it she shared the story of how declining marriage rates are driving many of the country's biggest economic problems and how the greatest impacts of marriage are, in fact, economic: when two adults marry, their economic and household lives improve, offering a host of benefits not only for the married adults but for their children. A summary of the book notes that For many, the two-parent home may be an old-fashioned symbol of the idyllic American dream. But The Two-Parent Privilege makes it clear that marriage, for all its challenges and faults, maybe our best path to a more equitable future. Here are a few additional behaviors I would add:Not borrowing money when you don't have to. Just because you are approved for a loan doesn't mean you can afford the thing you are trying to purchase. Don't confuse approval with proof that you can afford the car or whatever it is you are trying to buy with borrowed money. If a person has a new luxury car they are wasting money and most who have them don't have the money to waste. You should only borrow money to buy an house and pay for some college. And even with college there are many reasons not to borrow money to pay for college. See episodes 15 and 16 of this podcast for more information.Another thing to note, just because a person has a high FICO score it doesn't necessarily mean they have made smart money choices but simply the fact that they have shown the ability to borrow money and pay it back consistently. One's personally accrued net worth and the savings rate is a far better determiners of smart money choices. In the end, it all comes down to discipline. Everything changes...

Welcome bk to a very special episode of Loving Later Life, and if you are new, I hope you will continue to join me moving forward by clicking to ‘Follow' LLL wherever you get your podcasts! Today, I have an incredibly special guest joining us! Now, before I tell you all about her, you must do yourself a favor and make it a priority to listen to the entire 50 minutes. If you can't do it all at once, be sure that you make the time to finish the episode! My guest today is Dr. Stephanie McClellan. Dr. McClellan has a 30+ year career as a practicing, board certified OBGYN advocating and caring for the needs of women while integrating the world of research and academia with frontline care delivery. Trained at the University of Southern California, she quickly began creating innovative care models for women as she founded the Doctor's Office for Women in Orange County, CA in 1987. Dr. McClellan practiced in this setting for 17 years, before starting another private practice bearing her name in 2004. As a result of the success of the Doctor's Office for Women model, she collaborated with Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, CA to design and develop a premier women's healthcare program. Her evolving interest in good health and vibrant aging led to co-authoring a book on the science and clinic effects of chronic stress published by Simon & Schuster called “So Stressed: The Ultimate Stress Relief Plan for Women”. Recently Dr. McClellan served as the Chief Medical Officer of Tia, and the first practicing OB/GYN at Tia's NYC Clinic — an outpatient gynecology, primary care and wellness practice. Following Tia she served as Co-Founder and CMO for another growing tech-driven, women's health start-up, Plenish. Dr. McClellan continues to see patients in her private practice, while serving as a consultant and Medical Advisor for companies across the country. She is sought-after on both the speaking and consulting circuits for her expertise in women's health, hormone therapy and menopause. And, last but not least, she is my very own gynecologist! You are going to learn so much and also be very surprised by some of what she has to say!

Recently Dr. Michael Gillon of the University of Liege in Belgium and a team of astronomers hypothesized since that approximately 2/3 of the stars in our neighborhood are red dwarf stars some of them might host inhabitable planets. To test this idea the researchers began to carefully monitor some nearby red dwarfs with a robotic telescope in Chile to see if any of them the have regular dips in brightness which indicate the presence of planets orbiting them. This team of astronomers were delighted when a faint star in an infrared star catalogue showed regular dips in brightness indicating the presence of three planets. Followup observations by the European Southern Observatories' 8 meter telescope in Chile confirmed the presence of three Earth sized planets orbiting a star now known as TRAPPIST-1. This extremely faint red star is only slightly larger than the planet Jupiter and puts out 0.05% of the energy of our Sun. Two of its Earth sized planets orbit every 1.5 and 2.4 days receiving four and two times the radiation the Earth receives from our Sun. They are probably two hot to be habitable. The third Earth sized planet orbits farther away and thus might have life permitting temperatures on its surface. The discovery of three Earth sized planets orbiting the extremely, cool, faint red dwarf star TRAPPIST-1 suggests the possibility of the presence of many more relatively nearby Earth like planets. The next generation of ground and space based telescopes will tell us about their surface conditions.
This marks the 500th episode of the Myers Detox Podcast! I am immensely grateful for your unwavering support throughout the past decade. I absolutely love what I do, and hope to continue interviewing leading figures in alternative health for decades to come. I want to continue helping you to enhance your mental and physical well-being, identify the underlying causes of today's health challenges, and uncover incredible solutions and information from my many talented guests. Here's to many more decades of empowering discussions ahead! In this episode, Dr. Jessica Petross joins the show to discuss the topic of mold and its health consequences in water-damaged buildings. Dr. Petross emphasizes the importance of understanding underlying genetic factors that can make individuals more susceptible to mold-related health issues. She delves into the alarming statistics of water-damaged buildings and the variation in people's responses to mold exposure, with some experiencing chronic illness while others remaining unaffected. The conversation explores the reasons why many doctors overlook mold as a potential root cause of various health symptoms, leading to misdiagnoses. She discusses how mold can overload the immune system, resulting in autoimmune conditions, food sensitivities, and reactivity to supplements. The episode also covers testing methods and treatment options for dealing with mold-related health problems. Tune in to learn: The health consequences of mold. Shocking statistics related to water-damaged buildings Why some people are affected by mold differently than others. Why most doctors don't look at mold as being the cause of health issues. The different tests you can do to check for mold toxicity. How to properly address health symptoms caused by mold exposure. Dr. Jessica Peatross's Bio: Dr. Jessica Peatross has a passion for uncovering the mystery behind the chronic illness, whether that be stealth infections, heavy metals, stress, trauma or other environmental toxicities. She is visionary for the future of healthcare and left her position as a board-certified, internal medicine hospitalist to pursue Functional Medicine in order to better serve her patients. By getting to the real, root cause answers for WHY the body might be malfunctioning. Her philosophy embraces that health encompasses the whole patient mind, body, and spirit and Dr. Jess has become one of the most-sought after Functional Medicine Leaders. She is known for her ability to help identify the root cause of illness, most often traced back to hidden, stealth infections like Lyme, parasites and mold, Dr. Jess's area of expertise. After graduating Magna Cum Lade with a BA in Biology, a minor in Psychology, and earning her medical degree from University of Louisville, Dr. Jess worked as a hospitalist for 6 years before beginning to experience what many of her patients experienced, deep anxiety, hormonal imbalances, and mitochondrial dysfunction. In the process of trying to heal herself, she sought answers to uncover the root cause of disease, something she thought she had learned in medical school but realized she had not. She began to investigate alternatives to today's modern medical industry that treats every ill with a pill. Dr. Jess left her hospitalist position and became trained in Gerson Therapy, Functional Medicine, Nutrigenomics, and Ozone Therapy and quickly uncovered that 90% of disease is a result of lifestyle, diet, and environment. The body has all the answers to heal and reverse chronic disease. She has gained notoriety for her Kill*Bind*Sweat method, a timed method of using herbs, binders and sweating to eradicate stealth infections and invaders from the body. Recently Dr. Adam Frank of the University of Rochester and Dr Woodruff Sullivan of the University of Washington published a paper in which they addressed the question "What are the odds that humans are the only technological species that has ever arisen in a given volume of space"? Humans continue to look into the night sky and wonder what is out there. The immense distances and the uncertain lifetime of an advanced civilization make it seem unlikely that we will discover intelligent beings outside of Earth. However, I remain hopeful of one day waking to the news that we have received signals from thinking beings which live elsewhere in the Milky Way.

Recently Dr. Chip Roper had a conversation about faith and work with Greg Brenneman, on of our advisors at VOCA Center. Greg gives a 4-part framework for thinking about work from a faith perspective. In this first conversation, Greg introduces truth 1, that our work is important to God. He outlines a biblical foundation for work and helps us see that the greatest fulfillment at work comes not from seeking fulfillment, but from something else.Schedule a ConsultGive to VOCA Center
We made it through June. However, in many places around the world, cultures are being discipled more by the new LGBTQ “religion” instead of by the church. Today, we interview Dr. Tom Ascol, pastor of Grace Baptist Church and founder of Founders Ministries. We ask him how Christians can regain their God-given commission to disciple their nations. One of the primary reasons many Christians stay silent during “Pride Month” is because they don't understand the biblical framework for sex, marriage, and identity. Recently Dr. Ascol made headlines when he challenged U.S. Senator Ted Cruz over God's laws about these critical topics. Join us as we discuss his conversation with the Senator, how the Old Testament law is still relevant in our lives today, and how critical it is for Christians to disciple their nations even at the expense of being labeled a legalist, Christian Nationalist, or someone with a phobia.Episode Landing PageDisciple Nations Alliance Website

Recently Dr. Charlie Porter published a landmark article in JACC Cardio-Oncology titled "Permissive Cardiotoxicity: The Clinical Crucible of Cardio-Oncology" You can read the article here Our hosts Dr. Stephen Caselli and co-host Dr. Arjun K Ghosh are interviewing Dr. Charlers Porter to discuss the following topic “Permissive Cardiotoxicity”. Dr. Caselli is the executive director of ICOS, and Dr. Ghosh is a consultant cardiologist at University College London Hospitals and Barts Heart Centre. Dr. Porter is the founding Medical Director of cardio-oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Porter has been actively involved in heart failure and cardiac transplantation for over thirty years in Kansas City. He worked with Dr. William Reed to help launch the third heart transplant program in Missouri and the first in Kansas City in 1985. He was a co-author of the research paper that introduced and validated the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire which has subsequently become one of the leading patient-centered quality-of-life surveys in the world. He had a recent review article published at JACC Cardio-oncology with the following title “Permissive Cardiotoxicity: The Clinical Crucible of Cardio-Oncology”.1 Episode Pearls 1. Permissive Cardiotoxicity is a novel term that represents an essential concept in the field of cardio-oncology and among practicing cardio-oncology specialists. It emphasizes a proactive rather than reactive approach to the continuation of lifesaving cancer therapies to achieve the best oncologic outcome while mitigating associated and potential cardiotoxicities. 2. Permissive cardiotoxicity–based treatment strategies often start with the recognition of this urgent need to commence anticancer therapy and for cardiology evaluation of CV risk factors without delaying important cancer treatment. Such patients may require a cardioprotective strategy implemented without the luxury of a few weeks of escalating GDMT for patients with HFrEF or the scheduling of several diagnostic studies over a period of days or weeks before the patient is deemed ready for cancer therapy. 3. A common example eluding how permissive cardiotoxicity as a concept is important, is trastuzumab interruption (about 62% in the study by Sardesai et. Al) in HER2-positive breast cancer demonstrated worse disease-free (adjusted HR: 4.4) and overall survival (adjusted HR: 4.8) after adjusting for age, stage, grade, estrogen receptor status, node status, and trastuzumab-associated cardiotoxicity.2 4. Another example is that developing severe hypertension as a side effect of VEGF inhibitors is associated with improved cancer outcomes in some tumors sensitive to VEGF inhibitors.3 5. Mindset needs to be changed from treating cardiotoxicity to screening and early detection of cardiotoxicity and from “Should this therapy be discontinued?” to “How can this therapy be continued?” 6. Implementing permissive cardiotoxicity needs collaboration and clinical care needs to be delivered in a multidisciplinary fashion involving the patient, oncologist, pharmacist, and cardio-oncology specialist. Resources90-day gut healing journey journalWebsite (Dr. Jess + her work)Dr. Jess on InstagramDon't Miss These Thoughts!Who is Dr. Jess Peatross? What exactly is Lyme disease and how does one get it?What are some symptoms a Lyme disease patient might experience? And what does it have to do with the gut?For many it seems as though Lyme disease treatment can be tricky. Dr. Jess shares what some of the most common and/or effective treatments are + why it's hard to heal from Lyme.Do dietary changes work for her patients with Lyme disease? And what are some specific foods she has them eat and/or remove from the diet? Are there any nutritional supplements that are helpful for those with Lyme?Dr. Jess is well-versed in other topics, too, so I wanted to at least highlight them in the episode. The first is mold illness. Like Lyme disease, it seems as though mold illness is another major underlying factor for severe gut issues. So, what is mold illness and how is it connected to the gut?So much of chronic illness has to do with our drainage pathways. Dr. Jess talks a lot about this so she gives a brief overview of what drainage pathways are and what the first step to opening them up contains. Finally, besides chronic disease, she also talks about scarring from C sections, augmentations, etc. and how they hold the sympathetic nervous system in overdrive of the trauma that sustained them. I also know that scarring can be one of the main reasons for recurrent SIBO, so Dr. Jess tells us more about what this might look like for someone. “A body that is imbalanced is a body at risk”Dr. Jessica Peatross What is Lyme?Lyme disease is caused by a corkscrew bacteria known as bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. Its shape gives it the unique ability to burrow deep into tissue and dig its way in, which is part of the reason this infection can be so hard to fight off.It often hides deep in connective tissue, such as joints, which is part of the reason it can cause symptoms such as joint pain.Since b. burgdorferi does not hide in the bloodstream, and instead in the tissue, most of the conventional tests are highly inaccurate. Blood tests used by conventional doctors such as the western blot blood test are known to miss Lyme in 50-80% of patients.Dr. Jess calls Lyme “the great mimicker” as it mimics other diseases and symptoms due to its wide-ranging effects. Its location can cause migrating joint pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, and brain fog.All of these are somewhat vague in nature, which is another reason Lyme is so hard to pinpoint initially. How Do You Get Lyme?Lyme is carried primarily by ticks. The bacteria is transmitted through a tick bite into the skin of Lyme patients.Unfortunately, due to climate change ticks are expanding their territory and the places they can inhabit. This makes Lyme a much higher risk than it used to be, regardless of location.Tick-borne illness such as Lyme have DOUBLED in the last 13 years, with Lyme being the most prevalent.New studies are also showing that mosquitos can also carry Lyme, which is slightly concerning. This means more potential infections in the future.Source: HERECommon Lyme Disease SymptomsDr. Jess list some of the common symptoms of Lyme:visual changes – blurry visionmigrainesco-infection (like stubborn SIBO)TMJ or locked jawbrain fogjoint paininsomniahormonal imbalancesdecreased immune functionflares of other chronic disease such as autoimmunityLyme infections cause the body to go out of balance, or have trouble maintaining homeostasis.A lot of mechanisms that we rely on daily are due to homeostasis, such as our sleep cycle, energy, body temperature, hunger cues, etc. This is part of the reason that Lyme is truly so destructive on overall health, as it impacts so many different reactions within the body.In terms of its impact on the gut, Lyme has several negative effects.Since Lyme has such a negative effect on the immune system, it actually makes it easier for pathogens to make it to the gut. The immune system lacks the capacity to fight off these foreign invaders and more infections can spring up in the gut. This can be anything from parasites to yeast to mold.Manifestation of SymptomsYou may be wondering, how long does it take for these symptoms to start showing up?And the answer is- it totally depends.Dr. Jess explains how the individual's immune system actually determines how long these symptoms will take to occur. It also controls how severe these symptoms may be.If someone's immune system is in good standing, you can expect to see a “bulls-eye” rash appear quickly after the bite. This rash is your body's reaction to Lyme initially, and it actually a good sign of immune function. After the rash occurs, it is fairly variable how long the symptoms will take to occur. This often happens anywhere from 2 weeks to a month or so after being exposed to Lyme.It only takes about 24-72 hours for the ticks to transmit the bacteria, but symptoms usually do not occur until the bacteria starts fully colonizing in the body.Lyme Disease TestingDr. Jess recommends several different tests that she uses in her own coaching:vibrantlabarmin labsIGeneXwestern blot (a last resort but is ok if on a tight budget)All of these tests are blood tests but have more sensitive markers than traditional blood tests. They test for different bands of tick exposure, which can point to Lyme disease.Treatment of Lyme DiseaseDr. Jess explains how her Lyme treatment actually differs slightly from the traditional treatment. Most doctors go straight for an antibiotic treatment, which can work, but also leaves room for bacterial resistance. Bacteria can easily alter and form resistance to certain antibiotics, which lowers their potential for success.Dr. Jess uses a two-step approach to healing Lyme consisting of opening drainage pathways and then killing the infection.Opening drainage pathwaysOpening drainage pathways helps to reset the body to homeostasis and normalcy BEFORE attempting to kill anything. This allows individuals to actually dump toxicities and exposures out of their body through multiple pathways such as the liver, bowels, and kidneys.Since bacteria feed on organic waste, removing this waste also helps to determine why the bacteria was there in the first place.Once the drainage pathways are opened- individuals able to sweat, consistently go to the bathroom, and establish normal sleep- they are ready for the next phase.Killing phaseBy using antimicrobials, Dr. Jess focuses on killing the Lyme bacteria. Some of her suggested antimicrobials include:BiocidinCellCore productsbiofilm bustersShe also recommends some herbs that have antimicrobial properties such as:clovewormwoodblack walnut hullberberineSome of these herbs also have anti-inflammatory properties, which is an added bonus!Drainage PathwaysDrainage pathways are actually one of the MOST important parts of your body to understand. These pathways allow you to remove any toxins that you may breathe in, eat, or inhale through your nose.Since we are constantly being exposed to toxins, it is CRUCIAL that we have well-functioning drainage pathways. These include organs such as the kidney (filtering urine), liver (filtering out toxic material), bowels (rids bodies of unwanted substances), and sweat glands.Unfortunately, these pathways can often become overwhelmed and blocked. This results in a build-up of toxins, which can just lead to further infection.Dr. Jess reveals two common drainage blocks and how she remedies them:stagnant livercastor oil packs to encourage production of bileincreased consumption of bitter vegetables and herbscoffee enemasblocked sweat pathwayssauna or hot bathsslowly increase exposureBy working with a practitioner, you can hone in on opening these pathways, which is so important to overall gut healing.Lyme DietA Lyme diet is almost identical to an anti-inflammatory diet.It focuses on whole, unprocessed food while minimizing the number of inflammatory foods consumed.Dr. Jess recommends to “shop the perimeter of the grocery store” if you unsure where to start. This is the part of the store that will usually contain all the fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh meat.ENCOURAGED TO EATgrass-fed meat and wild-caught fish (omega-3 fatty acids)fresh fruit and vegetables + leafy greensunprocessed whole grainsnuts and seedsbeansginger and turmeric (both anti-inflammatory)olive oil- healthy fats help to reduce inflammationHIGH-QUALITY MEAT IS CRITICAL! It truly is the practice of extreme self-control that will get you on the path to healing. In addition, some individuals do find some relief on a gluten-free diet, but it really comes down to the individual.Try experimenting with taking gluten out, as it is a common inflammatory food.Lifestyle ChangesOn top of changing to an anti-inflammatory diet, it can also be helpful to make some changes to both your eating and lifestyle. This can help reduce inflammation and make the treatment process easier.Chronic inflammation both amplifies symptoms and slows down healing.include a variety of food – ensures that you are getting the necessary amount of vitamins and mineralscan also turn to supplements if nutritional deficiencies are suspectedthe more color in a meal, the higher it will be in antioxidants (prevents inflammation and damage on cells by oxygen)exercise – helps to decrease inflammatory responsesleep- make sure you are prioritizing sleepdecreased levels of sleep associated with increased inflammationadjust diet to what FEELS good to YOU- very individual on how certain foods will feelno single diet fits everyone's needs and symptomsdecrease stress levels – this one is SO hard I know, but it really helps reduce oxidative stress on the bodyThese changes can really help to get your body to a place where it can properly tackle the bacterial infection.Source: HERESupplementation for LymeWhile Dr. Jess does not use many supplements in her everyday life, she does have a couple that she likes using.vitamin Dvitamin Corgan meat supplements (contains essential B vitamins; When you use THIS link you'll automatically save 15%. Oftentimes mold exposure actually is the catalyst for a host of other chronic diseases and autoimmune issues.Other fungal offshoots of mold can cause issues such as SIFO, small intestinal fungal overgrowth, or candida issues. These spores behave in almost the exact same manner as mold, growing in the gut lining. This affects the body's ability to maintain homeostasis (just like Lyme) and makes one prone to a whole host of other chronic infections.AwarenessFor all of these infections, AWARENESS is absolutely crucial!Lyme and its fungal counterparts all are extremely detrimental to overall health and well-being and it is crucial to know both how to identify it and what to do about infections.Over time these infections can lead to chronic issues and autoimmunity issues, so it is important to know how to recognize the signs.Taking a functional medicine approach to these fungal and bacterial issues can be an absolute game-changer for your overall health.More from A Gutsy GirlWant to learn even more about the gut and ways to heal it?Learn all the secrets via my signature book, A Gutsy Girl's Bible: a 21-day approach to healing the gut. By getting to the real, root cause answers for WHY the body might be malfunctioning. Her philosophy….embraces that health encompasses the whole patient – mind, body, and spirit – and Dr. In the process of trying to heal herself, she sought answers to uncover the root cause of disease – something she thought she had learned in medical school but realized she had not. She began to investigate alternatives to today's modern medical industry that “treats every ill with a pill.” Dr. Jess launched her Wellness plus subscription app where she is helping thousands learn how to heal themselves. Kill – use of herbal supplements to kill off stealth infectionBind – by using a binding supplement, it acts like a sponge to “soak up” the die-offSweat – by sweating via exercise, sauna or hot baths, the deceased toxins are excreted by sweat out of the bodyShe previously devoted her time to consulting with clients around the globe and educating thousands of people worldwide, however with a waitlist more than a year long, Dr. Jess launched a comprehensive online platform and app called Wellness Plus to better serve all those hoping for an appointment. The new platform offers a plethora of educational courses, live webinars, root cause Quickies, Q&A, and guest vlogs that address the root causes of Lyme, Epstein Barr, mold, parasites, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, mitochondrial dysfunction, censored topics, and more— the common root causes her patients seek help with from her. Dr. Jess is able to heal people without the need for narcotics, immunosuppressants, antidepressants, antibiotics or steroids and in 2020, made the decision to not continue her board certification with the AMA as she no longer practices pharmaceutical-based medicine. When she is not consulting with patients or speaking at national and international conventions, she can be found, practicing yoga, playing with her fur baby, Blaze, traveling the world or eating her favorite food, blueberries. THIS IS WHY WE TRUST WILD PASTURES. CLICK HERE TO SAVE 20% FOR LIFE!DISCOURAGED TO EATseed oilsartificial sweetenersfood coloring and dyesprocessed glutenANY PROCESSED FOOD (chips, processed meat and cheese)nightshades (eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes)- correlated with higher inflammation, try experimenting with thisTaking out foods such as added sugars and processed gluten can be extremely hard for those with stealth infections. These pathogens often control your cravings and will lead you to crave food that they feed off of. In the process of trying to heal herself, she sought answers to uncover the root cause of disease – something she thought she had learned in medical school but realized she had not. She began to investigate alternatives to today's modern medical industry that “treats every ill with a pill.” Dr. "It's really easy for a teacher to work 80, 90, 100 hours a week. What does that do to a person? When I'm exhausted, I'm a less effective communicator. I am less prepared to deal with the emotional challenges of the classroom. I am less likely to give grace when I'm tired. Giving 100% of yourself is not an effective educational strategy. You can't give everything."Benjamin Hawkinson is Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at Millikin University. There he conducts numerous ensembles including the University Choir, the True Blue Chorale (TB) and Millikin's premier vocal jazz ensemble OneVoice. Welcome to this episode of Physician's Weekly podcast. I am your host, Dr. Rachel Giles, from Medicom Medical Publishers, in collaboration with Physician's Weekly. Later in this podcast, we have a riveting conversation with our returning guest who goes by the pseudonym Dr. MedLaw. She is a certified radiologist as well as a lawyer, and she provides 5 essential tips you need to know to avoid getting patient complaints. She provides examples of common mistakes that you will definitely recognize, or if you are like me, may have made yourself. Always a fantastic segment. But first, we interview a family physician and the president of Physicians Group of Southeastern Ohio, Dr. Patrick Goggin, about bringing back house calls. When Dr. Patrick Goggin's grandfather started a primary care practice in Cambridge, Ohio in 1930, the “house call” was a common practice. Recently Dr. Patrick Goggin and his brother Mark, who are both partners of Medical Associates of Cambridge, saw a need to bring back the “house call” and adapt the practice to better serve their senior population. At the time, Medical Associates of Cambridge had just entered a partnership with Agilon health to transform into a new strategy of value-based care that treats the “whole patient, not the disease.” Now, when many of their patients are unable to get in for their regular and annual wellness exams, doctors and nurses make house calls to those who are chronically ill and homebound.Enjoy listening!

On this episode, Shane Rosenthal talks with Dr. Gene Veith about a book he wrote back in 1993 titled Modern Fascism: Liquidating the Judeo-Christian Worldview. Recently Dr. Veith wrote an essay reflecting on the observations he had made in that volume about the rise of fascism, its philosophical and worldview assumptions, and how many of those beliefs later morphed into what we now call “post-modernism” In fact, in his recent article, Dr. Veith observes that “Much of what I predicted and warned against has come true. And even when I was wrong, I was wrong in underestimating the magnitude of the fascist revival.” So what exactly is fascism and how is this movement being revived in our own day? Dr. Mark Talbot is a professor of philosophy and theology at Wheaton College and Seminary. Recently Dr. Talbot has released the first book in a series of four concerning suffering in the Christian life. If possible, the time to think Biblically about suffering is not when you are in the midst of it, but rather beforehand as a type of preparation. In this engaging and honest discussion we seek to equip believers with some helpful tools for thinking about suffering from different people in the Bible. How did they endure? What can we learn? What does God's love and sovereignty have to do with it? How can we help people that are suffering deeply? These are central issues to the Christian life. May we be a people who walk well with one another.
January 6th 2021 needed a theological debrief. I brought two friends of the pod and recent partners for reading groups, Adam Clark and Jeffrey Pugh. Recently Dr. Pugh and I hosted a Bonhoeffer reading group and Dr. Clark and I put on together on Black Theology. The topics and questions we cover were sent in by the members from these reading groups. If you missed out and want to get the content from the groups, the easiest way is by joining the Homebrewed Community. Dr. Jeffrey C. Pugh recently retired as Maude Sharpe Powell Professor of Religious Studies and Distinguished University Professor from Elon University in North Carolina. The author of six books ranging from Barth, religion and science, and the apocalyptic imagination to Bonhoeffer, Pugh's work has focused on Christian complicity in the Holocaust and the lessons that can be applied to instruct future generations. His latest work, a chapter on his reflections while he was participating in the clergy resistance at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville is found in Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Theology, and Resistance. He and his wife Jan, a retired United Methodist minister, make their home in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Adam Clark is Associate Professor of Theology at Xavier University. He is committed to the idea that theological education in the twenty first century must function as a counter-story. One that equips us to read against the grain of the dominant culture and inspires one to live into the Ignatian dictum of going forth “to set the world on fire.” To this end, Dr. Clark is intentional about pedagogical practices that raise critical consciousness by going beneath surface meanings, unmasking conventional wisdoms and reimagining the good. He currently serves as co-chair of Black Theology Group at the American Academy of Religion, actively publishes in the area of black theology and black religion and participates in social justice groups at Xavier and in the Cincinnati area. He earned his PhD at Union Theological Seminary in New York where he was mentored by James Cone. Follow the podcast, drop a review, send feedback/questions or become a member of the HBC Community. Selected Scriptures Series: Our Worship #1 # Introduction Years ago I read an observation that by the time you get meaningful feedback, the real work is already done. It's a general principle, even if modern men are more assuming about immediate replies and reports. The farmer works and works, and waits, to see how much will come up in his field, and he is not the only one whose fruit takes a while to taste. We at TEC, by God's grace, have tasted some blessed fruit. It's not perfect. We haven't arrived. But the feedback we're getting (especially over the last year or so) shows what sort of work we've been doing. I do not mean feedback such as, “Oh, those people at TEC are nice,” nor am I referring to the work done by the elders or leaders. What I mean is the feedback of our corporate joy and maturing and our unified irritation over the governor's restrictions on worship. That feedback comes from the work we've been doing, and the work that has been done *on* us, through our Lord's Day liturgy. TEC is a week shy of ten years old. Many of the relationships among us are twice that long, and our total number these days is a little more than half from one other church. When TEC started we started by considering our worship. The first Sunday I preached from Revelation 5, getting our focus onto the worthy Lamb. The motivation was to keep us from becoming the F.O.G., the Fellowship of Grievances. It is easy to gather a group around shared complaints, until the complainers “bite and devour one another” (Galatians 5:15). Contemplating Christ, praising His glory, hearing His call for us to obey as His disciples, was not new to any of us. What was different were some of the unspoken parts of our service. Most of us were familiar with singing songs to prepare our hearts to hear the Word preached in the sermon. Perhaps there was a Scripture reading, even a corporate prayer, then maybe another song or two after the sermon, either for an altar call, or a pew call, where you could think a little longer about the message. That is an order of service, a liturgy. Every church has a liturgy, whether it is simple or sophisticated, whether it is meandering or direct, whether it is admitted or contradicted. I myself, as a mostly Baptist, had never belonged to a church which practiced much more than the Sing, Read, Pray, Preach, Sing pattern. Especially in the churches who cared about truth, theology, Bible, it made sense for the pulpit and the preaching to be in the center. It may be facile to describe it this way, but that sort of worship service is more like a melodic classroom where you pay every week instead of once a semester. Some of you may remember me talking about *truth-tubes*. I imagine a science lab with rows of skinny beakers ready to be filled with whatever truth they can collect. It's as if the goal of the Christian life, and the church's worship, is to accumulate more accurate sentences and good thinks. That is wrong on a number of levels, and it is one reason why even conservative, orthodox, Bible-preaching churches have struggled so much over the last nine months. Their liturgy has not prepared them, and they are getting the feedback. Like the tubes, believers may not be empty, but they are disconnected from the other tubes, even if they are next to one another. Like the tubes, most Christians are an audience, waiting for someone to fill them up (which can, it turns out, mostly be accomplished through screens). They are collecting truth, and trying to avoid cracking, these seem to be the goals. This is not much of a defense against the world's efforts to conform us. Even if it isn't new, the world made clear this last year what it wanted and wants with us. Here is my list of what our rulers and our experts want with us. ## The world wants us to be **complaint**. Sometimes the instructions are patronizing mantras for five year-olds, which should offend five year-olds (“[Stay Home, Stay Healthy](https://coronavirus.wa.gov/what-you-need-know/stay-home-stay-healthy)”). Other times we're given scary models and predictions (millions dead!), even horror story advertisements (attending Thanksgiving will kill grandma). Still yet, there are threats of dubious legal authority and arbitrarily applied by the executive branch. At least in many places, if the signs don't passively aggressively thank you for your adherence, fellow citizens will shame you for your ignorant selfishness. Please be manageable, or you will be managed. The shelter-in-place, lockdown/shut-downs are for plebeians who can't possibly know better and must do what they're told by every petty official. ## The world wants us to be **guilty**. The death of George Floyd near the end of May and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement would not be connected to a respiratory virus other than happening in the same year. But the world, and our rulers, connected them. You must stay home *unless* you were protesting racism. That you thought riots were bad proves how racist you are. You are not demonstrating enough pain and sorrow for your privilege, of being white, or for acting like it's okay for someone to be white (or a man, or a married heterosexual), and not an anti-racist. Add to this the guilt you should feel for your selfish question asking about the cost of lockdowns, and how to buy a gun. ## The world wants us to be **pacified**. Our rulers could not have gotten away with such measures 30 years ago because the Internet wasn't good enough. It's not just a couple generations of public school education making it so that people don't know better, it's the availability, the *ubiquity*, of Netflix and YouTube, while shopping in your browser with Amazon delivering the next day, plus the government cutting checks to people for more money whey they aren't working, even though that math won't work out. Be *fed*, for being fat, not for strength. ## The world wants us to be **distant**. The world wants us to treat distance as a savior. Follow the dots on the ground at the store, keep your dining table free from guests, for 15 days, another 30, through the second wave, etc. We are being taught about virtuous contemplation: think good thoughts about your neighbor but don't get close to them. ## The world wants us to be **unsettled**. We are being told that we will never go back to normal, that we must adjust to the new normal, though part of that is always being told something new, or contradictory. Recently [Dr. Fauci said out loud and on purpose that he didn't tell everyone the truth about herd immunity](https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/24/health/herd-immunity-covid-coronavirus.html) at the beginning, and that he kept changing what he was saying, because the people couldn't handle it. He needed to help us adjust by constantly adjusting us. Masks are also unsettling. They have not been stopping new cases, they have been stopping normal thought whether you're wearing one or trying to not to. They are at the top of our minds even if they are not in front of our mouths. Too many *churches* are governed by men following these worldly ways. Those that aren't so demanding about the sheep submitting, or reminding the sheep that they've never done enough, or pushing books and sermons for sentence collecting, or satisfied with virtuous contemplation, or even being unsettled, still may not be equipping their people as they could. If those are things the world wants from us in these days, **what does God want?** ## God wants us to be **free** under Him. Abraham Kuyper observed that the only way we can be free from petty tyrants of all shapes and legislations is by recognizing God's sovereignty, and that when we are under God, we are truly free. This is a freedom from sin, yes, but a freedom of conscience and from political (or religious) little lord-it-over-yous. As God's people, do you not feel free as we assemble for worship of the Lord who made heaven and earth? ## God wants us to be **forgiven** by Him. He is sovereign and He is holy. He has revealed His righteous law, the Standard. This is burdensome because we've all sinned; “whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it” (James 2:10). But it is not burdensome because it is arbitrary, or because it is inconsistent, or subject to the mob. Unlike Marx, SJWs, Karens, and Democrats and Republicans, we know the standard. This is not an effort to interpret a Biden press conference. Also, Jesus came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). The gospel is justification by faith, full pardon for our sin. No penance, no purgatory no pacifying the woke. ## God wants us to be **filled** by Him. He is not pacifying us. He feeds us that we might grow up into salvation, as we crave and consume His Word (1 Peter 2:1-3). He does intend for us to watch something, but He opens our eyes to see the light of the gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6). As we behold the glory of the Lord we are not diminished, we are being transformed into the same image (2 Corinthians 3:18). He is fitting us for good works, keeping us from being conformed to the world (Romans 12:1-2). He fills us. That includes with truth, but it *strengthens* us rather than softening us. > For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:14–19) We are set apart from the world, we are less hollow-chested than the world, we are “filled with all the fullness of God.” ## God wants us to **fellowship** with Him. Freedom is for fellowship, forgiveness is for reconciliation, filling us with the one who loves us. Sin separates. Lies and hate and suspicion cause war. Envy and fear ruin any attempts at closeness. Jesus came to establish *peace*. He came to bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18). He came so that we might be one with He and the Father through the Spirit and be one body, not tossed to and fro (John 17:20-21; Ephesians 4:3-6). Fellowship with Him brings joy, unity, maturity. We are, actually, *together* in this. He came because we were distant, not to make distance the new normal. ## God wants us to have **faith** in Him. Worship is not quarantine. Worship is not to unsettle the faith of believers. When God reminds us of His worth, His mercy, His supply, His joy, is the point to get you to ask again and again if that is for you? *If* you are conflicted by or resistant to His call to worship, *if* you refuse to confess your sins, *if* you prefer the glory that comes from men, and *if* you go through religious motions like communion, *then*: > Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! (2 Corinthians 13:5) But if you grasp your freedom as His servant, if you embrace His forgiveness, if you long to be filled by Him and fellowship with Him, then why comply to a liturgy that runs you through a gauntlet every week? It's like planting faith every Monday to Saturday, coming to church to have it ripped up and analyzed every Sunday to see if it is legit, and wondering why it never seems to grow very big. Faith is not futile. Our liturgy drives to stimulate the faith of God's people and to send you out to be faithful. Our liturgy leads to charging you to be fruitful by faith, not to always wonder if you have it. # Conclusion Notice how the pattern of our liturgy deals with all of these: Call, Confession, Consecration, Communion, Commission. And our commitment to fellowship by faith is much of the liturgical feedback we've seen after 10 years. It is liturgy that is messing with the gates of hell. Hell loves compliance, guilt, pacification, distance, and chronic anxiousness. Hell has built her gates with these kinds of pillars that cast shadows of darkness and fear. Our worship, our liturgy, the assembly, attacks those gates. > “Every Lord's Day God gives us the privilege of coming together, gathering outside the citadels and fortresses of unbelief, and God gives us a big battering ram. The battering ram is called ‘Worship of the True God.' Every week we get to pick it up and take another swing. … After a little bit, the unbelievers are every week going to hear this little distant: *Boom!*” ([Doug Wilson]([https://vimeo.com/31403376])) So, yes, we do know a new normal, but not as the world wants. What we care about is different, who we fight against is different, how we sing is different, why we meet as a church is different. The liturgy has been doing a work on us, and we can see the feedback. We are an assembly of worshippers, each member with a handle on the battering ram. As we worship, there is a new normal created in us, as we are a people of freedom, forgiveness, filled with the fullness of God into fellowship and faith. ---------- ## Charge I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, obey all that He has commanded. Behold the glory of the Lord, in season and out of season. You have faith, He is the author and finisher of Your faith. According to the riches of His glory may He grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being. May you see the feedback of our worship in great fruitfulness. Present your bodies to God as a living sacrifice. ## Benediction: > Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20–21, ESV)

Is John Piper theologically misinformed? If so, how? In this edition of INSIGHTS - audio version available at Apple podcasts and Spotify - Dave Warn and Eddie Ruiz explain why Dr. Piper has gone off the rails and why we need to get out to vote. The depth of his expertise incorporating multiple healing modalities is beyond extraordinary and his determination to continually learn and explore the ways in which his patient's can heal is matched by very few. Recently Dr. Nathan released a groundbreaking NY Times bestselling book. Toxic: Heal Your Body from Mold Toxicity, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and Chronic Environmental Illness and while he is certainly known for his expertise in these domains, his passions and skills as a healer extend far beyond than that of just chronic environmental illness. In this discussion, we start off with a exploration of Dr. Nathan's early childhood, hearing about his spiritual upbringing with Orthodox Judaism and his eventual journey into numerous other spiritual traditions and practices. Distilling down his spiritual core into three fundamental mantras: Be Mindful, Be Grateful and Be of Service, Dr. Nathan provides some tremendous insight into perhaps the ultimate purpose of any religious or spiritual pursuit. Moving from here, Dr. Nathan offers a very personal look into the diverse explosion of his medical education, most of which occurred AFTER his time in medical school As a self proclaimed seeker, Dr. Nathan shares the real reason behind his exploration of osteopathy, pain management and other healing modalities, as a seeker trying to discover the tools that would better support the spiritual wellbeing of his patients. Expanding into the art of medicine, Dr. Nathan articulates the essence of medicine as truly listening and holding space so that patient can engage positively in the act of story telling. Dr. Nathan provides incredibly practical insights for any current practitioner or student of the healing arts as to the most supportive ways to listen, to collect a history, to hold space, to remain curious, to engage in the day after day, month after month journey of helping to remove the roadblocks preventing patients from healing. Offering wisdom from 40 years of practice, Dr. Nathan shares his observation that as a healer, you will come into contact with fundamentally very different types of patients. Using the terms difficult vs complex or complicated, Dr. Nathan shares a compassionate view towards physicians who feel they are not successful in the practice of medicine, telling us that the most challenging art of medicine is discerning the complex patients who are dedicated to healing no matter how long it takes, vs. the difficult or demanding patients who may still have unconscious or other blocks preventing them from progressing in the healing journey. Our latest guest, Dawn Wehking, loves the shit out of dentistry. Plain and simple. Check out Dawn's practice at www.DentistLafayette.com When you think of your dentist, you probably don't think about someone who loves to build and create. Dr. Dawn Wehking is a born builder. She loves to build relationships and she loves hands-on work that allows her to build something both structurally sound as well as beautiful. So then it might not surprise you that Dr. Wehking didn't grow up wanting to be a dentist. Initially she wanted to own a restaurant because she wanted to build a sense of community and foster relationships with her patrons. But she quickly realized running a local hotspot wouldn't satisfy her need for creativity and hands-on work. What she needed was a way to combine her structural and artistic flair with her passion for building relationships and a sense of community. That's when dentistry became her clear career choice. When you entrust your dental care to Dr. Wehking, you'll see she's creating and building something quite special at Complete Family and Aesthetic Dentistry. She's building a relationship with you so she understands you and your needs. She's building a solid team who provides you the best possible care. She's creating a practice that's a committed part of the Lafayette community. And she's creating beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Wehking also strongly believes in building her knowledge through Continuing Education (CE). She completes over 200 hours CE per year and throughout her career she's totaled over 1200 hours. Recently Dr. Wehking was awarded Fellow status with the Academy of General Dentistry. She finished the Spear Education curriculum, a place where great dentists go to learn how to be exceptional dentists. She now serves as visiting faculty at Spear Education. In addition, Dr. Wehking speaks on behalf of the American Dental Association at dental schools across the country, teaching dental students about life after dental school. While it might sound nerdy, Dr. Wehking's greatest hobby is dentistry. Even when she's away from the office, Dr Wehking is building. You see, Dr. Wehking is much more than just a dentist. She's a smile architect. (Wondering about the Tooth Fairy's house in the Complete Family and Aesthetic Dentistry office? Well, Dr. Wehking built that, too.)

Recently Dr. Nick Despotidis had the opportunity to turn the tables on Gary Gerber and interview him on what makes practitioners successful. In this rebroadcast you will learn about Gary Gerber, The Power Practice, Supercharge Your Practice, and Vision by Design 2016.
IT executive Alexis Ringwald visits for the first time and U.S. Global Funds manager, Frank Holmes, stops by again. We often talk on this show about how financial promiscuity has led to mal investment and unemployment. Recently Dr. Mark Skousen suggested that in spite of government policies, mal investment is at least partly working its way out of our beleaguered economy thanks to people like Alexis Ringwald whose latest innovation, “Learn Up,” is an IT to train and thus equip employees for entry level jobs and in the process increase efficiency in the hiring process. U.S. Global Funds manager Frank Holmes, an innovator, global thinker, and optimist will help us put the recent decline in the price of gold into perspective and tell us what he sees for the future of the global economy. Your host along with Charles Nenner and/or David Gurwitz will address the gold, silver, equity and bond markets. Also I will talk about a couple ridiculously undervalued gold stocks.

The self-help and personal development space has EXPLODED over the past handful of years, and that explosion in content and complexity has left us asking one, simple question:How DO we live the best, most aligned life possible?Today we're digging into this big, complex question with some cutting edge research on process-based psychology. Recently Dr. Steven Hayes and other researchers on his team examined over 55,000 research studies to uncover the 30 or so core processes that we can focus on in order to improve our mental wellbeing and the way we experience life. That's what we're digging into on today's episode.Today's guest is Dr. Diana Hill. She is a clinical psychologist and co-author of ACT Daily Journal: Get unstuck and live fully with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Through her online teachings, executive coaching, clinical supervision, and private therapy practice, Diana encourages clients to build psychological flexibility so that they can live more meaningful and fulfilling lives. She is the founder and host of the new podcast show Your Life in Process and a co-founder of the Psychologists Off the Clock podcast. Diana blogs for Psychology Today and offers regular workshops in compassion and ACT for clinicians and the general public. In this episode we talk about what process-based therapy is. We talk about some of the core processes included in it and how to use them to thrive in our lives. We get into some of the most basic processes of mindfulness and our relationship to our thoughts and how we can use these processes to pivot into taking the actions we truly want to take in our lives...rather than the ones that are holding us back.Additional Resources:Listen to my first interview with Dr. Diana Hill: https://www.peakmindpsychology.com/blog/0322Dig into the difference between the techniques of mindfulness and visualization: https://www.peakmindpsychology.com/blog/0316Check out this blog post about creating the conditions to thrive in your life: https://www.peakmindpsychology.com/blog/Creating-the-conditions-to-thriveAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
