Wohl auch deshalb verkünden Ende Mai die USA und Deutschland eine Kehrtwende. Sie erlauben der Ukraine, auch im russischen Grenzgebiet militärische Ziele mit Waffensystemen anzugreifen, die sie der Ukraine zuvor geliefert hatten. Was gibt der Ukraine Hoffnung? Darüber diskutiert Anne Will in dieser Folge mit Vassili Golod, Ukraine-Korrespondent der ARD. We have a good one for you tonight! While the Richmond, VA crowd gets to see Glitterer live (jealous, much!) we are dishing out an interview with Ned Russin. For several years now several of my friends have been sending me music whenever Glitterer released songs. Ned's new project, that officially came to be in 2017 when he released a self-title album, quickly grew on me. Whenever someone has a successful project, it's often tough to seperate oneself from that image. However, Ned had a goal in mind and quickly got to work - creating the songs mostly on his own by playing every instrument except for the drums. While Ned had a plan and hit the ground running with Glitterer, this project recently welecomed other members into the band. These members played an "instrumental" role in creating the album the record, Rationale (released in February of this year). It also seems like they will continue to be a main stay for the live experience and possibly future releases.  Ned has been consistently touring since he was 19-years old after he dropped out of college to do the band exclusevely. The only schedule Ned has known is being on the road. But, he has since put a focus on other things such as finishing up his degree and working at a record store. Glitterer tours when they can and it's always a special moment whenever someone can catch them live. There are a lot of fun stories in this one such as studying on the road while in Title Fight, his parents valuing an education, writing an releasing a book three years ago (Horizontal Rust - check it out!), and looking up to his older brother during the early years.

Ned Russin (Glitterer, Title Fight, and many other bands) joins us for a conversation about how hardcore dancing has evolved over the ages. We watched videos of sets ranging from Bad Brains in '82 and Breakdown in '88, to Hatebreed in '94 and Rival Mob in '13, and then talked about the way the crowds behaved during those periods. Ned, being the hardcore scholar that he is, provided a lot of fascinating commentary about what these audience behaviors said about these eras of hardcore, and how the arc of the genre has developed over time.  We also spoke with Ned about the new Glitterer album, 'Rationale,' and how living in D.C. does/doesn't impact his work. Er ist einer der wichtigsten liberalen Politiker in der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland – und der erfolgreichste Verfassungsbeschwerdeführer. Der Schriftsteller Heinrich Böll sagte über ihn, er sei "der beste Innenminister, den wir je hatten". Der CSU-Politiker Franz Josef Strauß hingegen beschimpfte ihn als "Bundesunsicherheitsminister". Der 90-jährige FDP-Politiker, Jurist und Opferanwalt Gerhart Baum zu Gast bei "Alles gesagt?". Im unendlichen Podcast spricht er über seine frühesten Erinnerungen während der Bombennacht in seiner Heimatstadt Dresden 1944 und über seine anschließende Jugend als "Flüchtling im eigenen Land", über seine Mutter, die in Moskau geboren wurde und sich bis zum Ende ihres Lebens als Russin verstanden hat. Und über seinen Vater, der aus einer wohlhabenden Juristenfamilie kam, selbst auch Anwalt war und im Zweiten Weltkrieg als Soldat ums Leben kam. Im Gespräch mit den Podcast-Gastgebern Jochen Wegner und Christoph Amend analysiert Gerhart Baum die aktuellen Entwicklungen in China, Russland und in der Ukraine, erinnert sich an einen Rat, den er von Thomas Mann bekommen hat, – und daran, wie er als junger Politiker die alten Nazis in der Nachkriegs-FDP bekämpfte. Er erzählt von seiner Arbeit in den Kabinetten der Bundeskanzler Willy Brandt und Helmut Schmidt, warum er abgelehnt hat, Minister unter Helmut Kohl zu werden, über das Leben seiner Familie unter Polizeischutz – und über einen Hubschrauberabsturz, bei dem er und seine Tochter beinahe ums Leben gekommen wären. Gerhart Baum erklärt seine Kritik an der heutigen FDP und sein kompliziertes Verhältnis zu FDP-Chef Christian Lindner, das mit einem Besuch des Jüngeren beim Älteren begann, bei dem es Linsensuppe gab: "Sie heißt seitdem bei uns Lindnersuppe." Als Anwalt hat Gerhart Baum unter anderem die Opfer des Anschlags während der Olympischen Spiele in München 1972 und der Loveparade-Katastrophe in Duisburg 2010 vertreten. Im Gespräch erklärt er seine Verhandlungstaktiken, berichtet von frühen Reisen nach Russland, seinem weltweiten Einsatz gegen Kriegsverbrechen – und von Begegnungen mit Edward Snowden und mit Alexej Nawalny in Moskau. Nach fünf Stunden und 39 Minuten beendet Gerhart Baum das Gespräch, denn das kann bei "Alles gesagt?" nur der Gast.
