What happens when the unthinkable happens—and you crash an aircraft? For most pilots, it's the nightmare scenario we hope we'll never face. But for CDR AJ Edwards, U.S. Navy, it became reality. In this special extended episode, AJ takes us through the full journey: from the day of his helicopter mishap, to the intense investigations that followed, and ultimately, to how he rebuilt both his career and his confidence. Here's what you'll hear in this episode: The Mishap – A 2015 training flight that ended in a helicopter rollover. The Process – How military safety and FNAEB investigations unfold. The Verdict – The Admiral's decision: probation and loss of quals. The Comeback – Rebuilding trust, confidence, and a flying career. The Lesson – AJ's advice for pilots facing mishap investigations. This conversation is raw, real, and packed with insight into one of the most stressful processes a pilot can go through. Whether you're military or civilian, there's wisdom here for anyone who straps into the cockpit.

Given that Plato's Allegory of the Cave seems to still apply to modern people, is there any hope of some day having a civilization rooted in reality? If truly sentient and self-aware and self-motivated robots come to be, would you welcome them into the world as fellow beings worthy of respect? Can an Atheist, like an Ex-muslim be a Christian at least culturally go to church and all, even if he can't find any rational way to believe that God exists. I know, I know it's a strange Question. If the purpose of life is, as I think it is, to become a great mate, find a great mate, create a family, and raise kids who will be great mates themselves... what does the purpose of life become for people who can't, don't, or choose not to become parents?Would moral standards exist, or need to exist, in a post-Singularity world where anyone can have anything they want, built by robotics, AI, and insanely advanced 3D printers? My question is basically rooted in the notion that, once we have anything we want, what are moral standards worth?Moral standards are worth something right now because we need each other in order to survive and thrive. Read transcriptHoly Gallic mayhem, comic crusaders! This week on Play Comics, we're trading our Roman shields for DualShock controllers as we dive headfirst into the digital disaster that is Asterix & Obelix Kick Buttix for PS2 and Xbox – because apparently someone at Étranges Libellules thought the best way to honor René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's beloved comic masterpiece was to trap our favorite mustachioed warriors in a 3D brawler with combat mechanics more repetitive than Obelix's “These Romans are crazy!” catchphrase. Released in 2003 as Asterix & Obelix XXL in Europe before getting the wonderfully ridiculous “Kick Buttix” rebrand for American audiences, this licensed adventure promised players the chance to experience authentic Gallic village life while punching approximately 70 Romans per level across 40 different stages of cartoon chaos. What it actually delivered was a gaming experience so mindlessly button-mashy that even Caesar would file a complaint with customer service about the repetitive gameplay loop. Joining us for this Roman-bashing bonanza is the incomparable Chas! Pangburn – a man who when he's not busy lettering the actual Asterix comics from the depths of his creative dungeon, brings his insider knowledge of what makes these characters tick both on the page and in polygonal form. His expertise in both the source material and the art of comic creation makes him the perfect guide through this particular journey from panel to PlayStation. So grab your magic potion and prepare for an episode that's more entertaining than actually grinding through the same three enemy types for hours on end – which, let's face it, isn't exactly setting the bar at Vercingétorix levels. Will this portable Gallic adventure redeem itself through sheer nostalgic charm and cartoon physics, or will it crash harder than a Roman chariot race gone wrong? Tune in to discover if this comic adaptation belongs in the Hall of Fame… or should be buried deeper than one of those references that you'll only catch if you read this in French! Learn such things as: Can a video game really handle the comedic timing that makes Asterix comics so brilliant? How do you translate cartoon physics into actual game mechanics without breaking the universe? Do magic potions even come with flavor options? And so much more! In this episode of Insight Out, I sit down with Mark Schaefer, one of the sharpest marketing minds on the planet, to uncover the secrets of audacious marketing in an AI-dominated world. Mark, a New York Times bestselling author and marketing strategist, reveals how businesses can outshine the competition by tapping into the most uniquely human qualities crazy ideas, awe-inspiring experiences, and stories that people can't help but share. But here's the twist: What if the future of marketing isn't about algorithms, but about out-humaning AI? What if the most powerful tool in your arsenal is your ability to create something so bold, so unexpected, that it stops people in their tracks? Mark shares jaw-dropping stories from his new book, Audacious, including how a drone show in the Texas sky left an entire restaurant in awe, and how a brand called Liquid Death turned the water industry on its head by embracing the taboo. What's your audacious idea? What bold, crazy, unforgettable story will you create to stand out in a world drowning in noise? Tune in to this episode to find out how you can start today. In this episode, you will learn the following: How to create marketing moments that stop people in their tracks. Why awe is the secret ingredient to unforgettable branding. How to disrupt traditional narratives and break taboos like Liquid Death. The five-act storytelling structure that makes ads stick. How to turn customers into passionate brand advocates through word-of-mouth marketing. In This Episode: [01:33] Introducing Mark Schaefer [03:54] The impactful drone show [13:21] The role of awe in marketing [21:34] Liquid Death: A case study in bold marketing [25:02] From flat to 3D marketing [26:11] Innovative storytelling in unexpected places [26:56] Creative marketing on a budget [28:34] The power of experiential marketing [29:15] The role of education in marketing [31:49] The art of storytelling in advertising [37:09] Systematic word-of-mouth marketing [44:37] The impact of social objects in marketing [48:09] Final thoughts and takeaways Notable Quotes [01:06] “Most marketing today is boring. It's predictable, it's ignorable. But standing out isn't about spending more money or shouting louder—it's about doing something truly different.” – Billy [02:55] “Instead of playing it safe, instead of doing what you think you're supposed to do, we're going to talk about how you actually stand out.” – Billy [10:49] “AI can be competent, but it can't create human connection. In sad news, American Science & Surplus are shuttering online sales, leaving just the brick and mortar stores in Wisconsin and Illinois. On What's That Sound, it's a results show, which means Kristina gets to take a stab at it. She missed the mark, but that's okay, because [Montana Mike] knew that it was the theme music for the show Beakman's World, which was described by one contestant as "Bill Nye on crack". After that, it's on to the hacks and such, beginning with a really cool way to smooth your 3D prints in situ. JWe take a much closer look at that talking robot's typewriter-inspired mouth from about a month ago. Then we discuss several awesome technological feats such as running code on a PAX credit card payment machine, using the alphabet as joinery, and the invention of UTF-8 in general. Finally, we discuss the detection of spicy shrimp, and marvel at the history of email. On this episode of The MacRumors Show, we talk through iOS 26 and Apple's other major software updates, which officially launched this week. ‌iOS 26‌ introduces a major visual overhaul with "Liquid Glass," making system elements more translucent and fluid. There are a series of new communication features, such as backgrounds in Messages and Call Screening. The Lock Screen can adapt dynamically to photo subjects, while Photos gains a new Library and Collections layout and spatial 3D effects for favorites. Apple also added a new Games app that combines a user's game library with Game Center content. iPadOS 26 focuses on transforming multitasking by replacing Split View and Slide Over with a full window management system. Users can freely resize app windows, minimize or maximize them with macOS-style traffic-light controls, and use a menu bar across apps. A new Mac-style toolbar and a redesigned cursor are also present. macOS 26 brings Liquid Glass to the desktop for a refreshed aesthetic. Spotlight is overhauled with new search categories and quick keys, Control Center is more customizable with new menu bar options, and iPhone Live Activities can now be viewed directly on the Mac. watchOS 26 brings improvements to the Control Center and Smart Stack, and brings Notes to the Apple Watch for the first time. New health features include hypertension notifications and Sleep Score, while fitness gains an AI-powered "Workout Buddy" for personalized guidance. A new wrist flick gesture lets users dismiss calls or alarms more intuitively. Having tested the updates for several months, we take an overall look at the updates. We discuss polarized reaction to Liquid Glass, and Apple's controversial decision to remove the iPad's Split View and Slide Over. We also talk through enhancements to Apple Intelligence, such as improved Visual Intelligence and the ability to access Apple's on-device foundation models directly in Shortcuts. ‌iOS 26‌, ‌iPadOS 26‌, ‌watchOS 26‌, macOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 are available now. In this episode, the Guy welcomed David Hulse to delve into the fascinating world of energetics and frequency. David Hulse, an ex-minister with profound insights into spirituality and energy work, shared his journey and how he transitioned from traditional religious teachings to exploring quantum physics and vibration healing. The conversation touched upon the human body's connection to universal energy, the significance of tuning forks in energetic healing, and the concept of transitioning from 3D to 5D consciousness. David emphasized the importance of working towards breakthrough rather than merely fixing what's breaking down and provides insight into how vibrations and frequencies can facilitate deep spiritual and physical healing. The episode offers a holistic perspective on contemporary spiritual awakening and practical tools for harnessing energy for self-healing. About David: David Hulse, C.V.S.M.T. (Certified Vibrational Sound Master Teacher) combines his 60 years of experience as a motivational speaker with years of research in metaphysics, science, sound and spirituality to bring you a unique and empowering experience. Participants in David's workshops invariably comment that they had no idea how powerful the experience was going to be. David's ability to gather all the fragments of truth from many different disciplines helps bring all of your experiences up to now into focus. Participants tell us that things in their life that seemed separate and fragmented suddenly come together after spending the weekend with David. We invite you to come and experience an empowering and inspiring weekend with David Hulse and experience the power of SomaEnergetics!  At the turn of the century, David's accelerating interest and research into the lost frequencies of the Ancient Solfeggio, served as the Spirit-Guided catalyst for SomaEnergetics – a technique whereby the Solfeggio Tuning Forks help facilitate the releasing of energy to flow more easily. These custom-made forks, as well as training classes in the SomaEnergetics Vibrational Sound Techniques, including the Energy Vitality Technique are available exclusively through SomaEnergetics. Dry printing of battery electrodes can avoid the toxic solvents and industrial ovens involved in the conventional wet process, which means a smaller physical and environmental footprint, but engineers have struggled to make it work at the needed scale and speed. Now a company called Sakuu says it has cracked the code. It is selling machines it claims will be able to print multiple battery chemistries, at competitive costs and speeds. I talk with CTO Karl Littau about the details and what 3D printing could enable in future batteries. This is a public episode. What if manifesting your dream life came down to one thing: the way you think, and the manifestation strategies you use to shape those thoughts? In this episode of The Manifested Podcast, Kathleen Cameron takes you on a powerful journey into the art of manifestation—how to dream bigger, transform limiting beliefs, and use imagination as the key to creating the life you desire. She unpacks the difference between living in the 3D reality shaped by past thoughts and stepping into the fourth dimension—your imagination—where true transformation begins.  If you've ever felt held back by your current reality, this episode will show you how to rise above it—and why believing in the impossible might just be the most practical thing you'll ever do. Kathleen reveals practical strategies for setting audacious goals, shifting belief systems, and aligning your vibration with your vision.   Tips in this episode:  Climb the ladder of belief by moving from need to want, to belief, and finally, to a knowing mindset, to manifest your desires effectively. Begin with smaller, manageable goals that the mind can accept, then expand to larger visions as your belief strengthens. Belief always precedes manifestation; without aligning beliefs with goals, resistance can prevent manifestation. The mindset shift from needing to wanting and then knowing is crucial for changing perceptions of what's possible.     Subscribe To The Manifested Podcast With Kathleen Cameron: Apple Podcast | YouTube | Spotify Connect With The Kathleen Cameron: Facebook | Instagram | LinkedIn | Youtube | TikTok | Kathleencameronofficial.com   Unlock Your Dreams with House of ManifestationA community where you take control of your destiny, manifest your desires, and create a life filled with abundance and purpose? (image source: https://jurassicpark.fandom.com/wiki/Corythosaurus/JW:_E) Host Matthew Donald and guest co-host Lawrence Mack discuss Corythosaurus, a duckbilled dinosaur with a helmet on its head… except not so much a helmet, as I doubt it would help much against collisions with street pavement or Ankylosaurus clubs. But hey, maybe it would. I'd welcome being surprised. From the Late Cretaceous, this 30-foot lambeosaurine hadrosaurid is one of the few animals we know how it sounded, as we've 3D-printed its skull and blown air through it to simulate the noise those crests would help make. You've seen Jurassic Park 3, right? We all have, that classic film. Funnily enough, that's the only Jurassic Park film this dinosaur is in! It's almost like destiny. Want to further support the show?
