Meet Lacey Schmidt: Triathlete, Ironman, Ultra endurance runner, teacher, and Owner of YogaSix Collegeville. Lacey has been an elementary school teacher for the past 13 years, and just days before the Pandemic, she signed a lease to open a Vinyasa yoga studio in Collegeville, PA. Lacey was not always a practitioner of yoga. In fact, she never had any interest in making her way onto a mat, and did so only so that she could spend some extra time with a dear friend of hers. It wasn't long until Lacey was hooked to the connection of her mind, body, and spirit. Things instantly shifted in Lacey's life when she decided to give the practice a try, and she soon became a certified yoga instructor so that she could help others experience the beauty of the practice. Lacey's favorite thing about the practice is experiencing the mix of asanas and the build-up of “fire” along with it's flowing water-like transition. She also loves to meet her students wherever they are at; and provide safe spaces for them to grow. Lacey welcomes the community to join her on their mat at YogaSix Collegeville. She is just as excited to experience yoga with others as she is to learn their story. Come share "your why" with Lacey, and experience a full-sensory yoga experience at YogaSix Collegeville! A licensed psychotherapist since 1995, Geralyn is a playful, soul-provoking life coach who believes one of the keys to happiness is being able to laugh at yourself. She is the author of JUNGLE JEAN, the biography of her mentor, Jean Liedloff, who traveled into the pristine regions of the Venezuelan rainforest back in the 1950s and subsequently wrote a seminal book, THE CONTINUUM CONCEPT, which became a childrearing classic. In her work with clients, Geralyn assists adults who did not have a fully enriched infancy and childhood (i.e.: most of us), to see and feel the very real impact of “missing experiences.” The insight, understanding, and self-knowledge gained gives them new freedom and the courage to live a fully actualized life. She shows people how to "transmogrify" their everyday experience by leaning into the joy that is our natural state. Geralyn loves to share the story of how she learned to turn life's many challenges into sources of energy rather than energy-sucking problems that put the kibosh on her life force.Geralyn has been deeply influenced by a decades-long fascination with Littlewood's Law of Miracles, which states that any individual can expect to experience an outrageous event every thirty days. She is a blackbelt martial artist, salad aficionado, and renowned hair chameleon. Her favorite brain hack is jumping out of an airplane. For information on Geralyn, please visit www.junglejean.com.

Jim has also served the Republican Party as an elected Upper Providence Committeeman, was an Executive Committee member of the Montgomery County Republican Committee and traveled to Cleveland as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Committee in 2016. Jim currently serves the UP Board of Supervisors as the Vacancy Board Chairman. Working his way through college, Jim built a life as he finished his education, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2006 from Immaculata University and taking MBA classes at Delaware Valley University to continue his pursuit of higher education. Jim knows good schools are critical to our success as a township – and region – but also know we must control taxes at every level so funding our future doesn’t cripple retirees and working families with high taxes today. Jim will use his businesses and professional skills to find that balance in local government.Jim and his wife of nearly 20 years, Tracey, own a home in Phoenixville. Together, they also operate several successful business ventures, including a security company that focuses on emerging industries as well as rental properties they own and manage. Jim and Tracey have raised their daughters in Upper Providence – with their oldest attending Aim Academy in Conshohocken and their youngest in 6th grade at Spring Ford Middle School. Their five-year-old Westie, Lilly, is the fifth member of their family. An independent leader committed to making government more open, more transparent, and more responsive for the people it serves, Jim will be a champion for all Upper Providence residents in elected office. Called to serve his community, Jim is running for Supervisor to work for those who work hard every day. A CITIZEN, TAXPAYER & FISCAL EXPERT READY TO PUT TAXPAYERS FIRSTTom Yeager is not a career politician – he’s one of us: a local businessman, father, husband, and coach. Tom is ready to serve and bring our Republican principles of fiscal conservatism to township government to protect taxpayers and focus on real priorities that make our community even better. The son of a hardworking engineer and a stay-at-home mom, Tom learned early the value of hard work - and then used what he learned to succeed in life.Working and paying his way through college, Tom earned a degree in Business Logistics from Penn State University. He then continued to hard work toward success in the business world, rising today to the position of Vice President of Supply Chain and Customer Service at a Fortune 500 company where he oversees a budget of $300 million. His proven skills at fiscal oversight and increasing efficiency will help taxpayers here in Upper Providence as he ensures township government works effectively for residents by delivering high quality services at the best possible cost. In addition to his work at St. Gobain, Tom sits as a member of two companies’ Executive Management teams helping them to control costs, meet positive outcomes for employees and customers, and demand accountability and transparency – the same goals he will meet as our next Supervisor. Tom is also committed to a stronger future for Upper Providence as only a dad can be – ready to fight hard to improve the opportunities we leave for the next generation. Tom and his wife, Christina, have been married for 10 years and are raising their blended family together as proud parents of Christina’s three children and their 9-year-old twins, all of whom attend Spring Ford schools. Ellin was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of June and Marvin Ellin. He grew up in Merrick, New York and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School (Bellmore, New York). Before producing and writing for Entourage, Ellin served as a staff writer for Life with Bonnie, which starred Bonnie Hunt. The series ran from 2003-2004. Ellin has also written screenplays for two films, Kissing a Fool and Phat Beach. He moved to Los Angeles in the early 1990s to be a stand-up comedian and soon got a job in the mail room at New Line Cinema. It was there where he befriended film producer Mike DeLuca who funded Ellin's first short film The Pitch, starring then unknown actor David Schwimmer. That short film got Ellin accepted to the American Film Institute, where he graduated from in 1994. In 1996, he directed the independent comedy film Phat Beach. The film was made on a very low budget, and Ellin has called it "Probably the worst movie ever made". Two years later, Ellin made another independent comedy film Kissing a Fool, starring David Schwimmer, who was now known due to his role on Friends which was in its fourth season.Kissing a Fool was sold for distribution and Ellin subsequently sold a few screenplays to Miramax. One, The Pledge was never produced although Ellin was paid seven figures for the script and was set to direct. He sold another unproduced screenplay for mid-six figures.Ellin's real success came in 2004 with Entourage. The HBO show ran for eight seasons and Ellin made an eight-figure pact with HBO to continue producing television. Ellin wrote and directed the 2015 film adaptation of Entourage.Today, he and Emmy nominated star Kevin Dillon, host a weekly comedy podcast called "Victory The Podcast", where they relive the hit HBO show, one episode at a time. As the lead guitarist for multi-platinum rock band Candlebox, Brian Quinn has traveled the world performing in front of crowds as large as 90,000 at a time and sharing the stage with some of most iconic legends in the industry. But to this life-long musician, he’s just as happy performing to an audience of 100 as 100,000. Because for him, it’s all about the music. It always has. Drawn to the guitar at a very early age, he first picked up the guitar at the young age of five and was playing sold-out shows by the age of 15 with his hardcore band Burial Ground((1990-1996). He, then, spent six years performing in the hardcore circuit with what was considered one of the most influential acts of that time, inadvertently being credited with “inventing” the sub-genre of hardcore music described today as “Bloodcore”. Burial Ground released an independent album that received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. But, by 17 larger things were calling and Quinn headed to Philadelphia in search of something more.Soon after arriving in the city of Brotherly Love, he co-founded the Philadelphia-based rock band Octane (2000-2005). Still considered to this day as one of the most successful bands to come out of Philly, Octane sold more than 65,000 copies of their independent debut release and enjoyed more than 1000 spins of the single “I For One” on Philadelphia rock station 94.1 WYSP.During this time, Quinn was named “Best Guitarist” in the Philadelphia region by the Philadelphia Music Awards in 2001 and 2004 and was routinely praised by fans and critics alike for his signature guitar technique, his ability on “slide” guitar, and dynamic on-stage presence. After enjoying five successful years with Octane, Quinn left the band to found a blues-based hard rock band that would later become known as Fosterchild. This project would quickly gain national attention and the band was signed to the SMG/ILG/WARNER record label from 2007-2010. The band hit the road on a U.S. tour and it was then that Quinn met Kevin Martin, lead singer of Candlebox. Immediately impressed with Quinn’s talent, Martin promised him he’d one day have a spot in Candlebox.Quinn continued to tour the country with Fosterchild and even garnered a special invitation to perform for the U.S. troops stationed at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, where the group performed in front of thousands of soldiers on New Year’s Eve of 2010.Quinn has been invited to perform at NAMM Ultimate Jam Night for the past two years, alongside Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan and many other iconic artists. He routinely guests with the American Vinyl All Star Band featuring Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (Steely Dan/Doobie Bros.), Barry Goudreau (formerly of the band Boston), Robert “Mousey” Thompson (Wilson Pickett/James Brown), Leroy Romans (Third World / The Wailers), and Tim Archibald (Peter Wolf / RTZ).A proficient studio musician as well, Quinn provided the critically-acclaimed guitar work on Candlebox’s last album Disappearing In Airports, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard Charts, as well as the 2017 release of Disappearing Live. He most recently contributed his axe-work to Candlebox’s forthcoming album Wolves, which is slated for a September 2021 release and has also lent his guitar skills to a myriad of artists across multiple genres of music.During his career, Quinn shared the stage with such acts as: Ozzy Osbourne, Slash’s Snakepit, Gene Simmons, Metallica, Kid Rock, Disturbed, Judas Priest, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sixx AM, Chevelle, 3 Doors Down, Seether, Sevendust, Three Days Grace, Candlebox, Tantric, Shinedown, Robert Randolph & The Family, Alter Bridge, Godsmack, Taproot, Nonpoint, Mudvayne, Deftones, Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society, Buckcherry, Warren Haynes, Marshall Tucker, Devo, Finger Eleven, and the House Of Blues All-Stars (with whom he performed alongside rock legends Jeffrey “Skunk” Baxter of Doobie Bros & Steely Dan, Fran Sheehan and Barry Goudreau of Boston, drum phenom Kenny Aranoff (John Mellecamp, Bob Dylan, John Fogerty), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morrisette), and James Montgomery of Johnny Winter fame).Quinn is currently endorsed by Gibson Guitars, D'Addario Strings, Planet Waves Accessories, The Rock Slide by the Songhurst Guitar Company, and LPS Clothing. If we met, you’d never know that I’m a survivor of pretty horrific childhood abuse and trauma. Because on the outside, I look like the average “nice guy” with everything anyone could ever want. The supportive and beautiful wife. The adorable and sweet children. The successful track record. The outgoing personality. The dream house. The big smile. Nothing about my life screams—he’s wounded! But beneath the surface of that perfect picture used to be a man who was severely depressed, anxious, and—at one point—suicidal. It wasn’t until 2016 that I understood why. It took one little moment—a conversation with my abuser, in fact—to trigger a sudden and endless stream of flashbacks into my childhood. Like small scenes from a movie, I was reliving moments I had locked away. Moments I had “deleted” from memory because they were that horrific. At first, I tried to cope by diving deeper into my business—working harder, working later, distracting in whatever way I could. But when it became too painful to bear and clear that I couldn’t manage it alone—through therapy or medication, I found another way. In fact, I did something pretty scary. I went to an emotional intelligence seminar where I revealed my deepest truth to a whole group of people. I spoke words out loud that I had only thought about saying. Words that carried great shame and great pain. I looked at the abuse, at my abusers, at everything that had been hidden for so many years. And as I spoke, yelled, cried, and let myself be seen, something miraculous happened. For the first time in my life, I felt like I could breath. As if I’d been living under water for decades and finally came to the surface pulling in a long overdue lung-full of air. Lightness. Something I’d never felt before. Arrived. And I recognized that in facing the pain, speaking out loud, releasing the emotion, and being held in non-judgment by my fellow attendees—I was FREE and more importantly HEALING. I had broken the cycle. This experience changed my life AND it ignited a spark—a knowing within me that it was time to use my voice in a bigger way, a more authentic way. To be courageous enough to tell my story. You see, what I’d experienced was profound and needed on a much larger scale, especially for men. Something that could save so many from the numb and limiting life I had been choosing for so long. Since stepping into what I know is my life’s work, I have the privilege of awakening audiences all over the world to the power of love and vulnerability as a means to HEAL from various forms of trauma and abuse. Today, my mission is to give men permission to face their trauma, heal emotional wounds, and experience love in its purest form so that they are free to live life with authenticity, power, and purpose. Due to the host's occasional swearing and the sensitive nature of parts of our conversation, you may want to exercise discretion if listening with kids present. Matt Cubbler has always lived a life of sacrifice and dedication to others. From serving in the U.S. Army, to working as one of Pennsylvania's most renowned police officers, to donating his time speaking to teens and young adults about the importance of leadership in their lives, he has devoted his life to helping others through both his professional and personal life. A month after graduating from high school, Cubbler's brother Andy died in a violent car accident. That moment would end up becoming the single most impactful moment in his life. While he excelled academically in high school and had an opportunity to attend one of the four major military academies, he decided he was needed elsewhere and chose to enlist in the United States Army and served for four years as an Intelligence Analyst. His Army tour of duty took him from Augsburg, Germany to the Persian Gulf War. In 2009, Cubbler got bit by the entrepreneurial bug and he launched his first company MaxOut, a unique fitness brand that owns a unique piece of patented strength training technology and owns and operates one-of-a-kind gyms utilizing this same technology. Over the past eight years, while still working full-time as a police officer, he has built MaxOut into a national brand that has helped thousands of people achieve strength and fitness levels unseen in the fitness marketspace. Today, Cubbler is still a full-time police officer, the COO of MaxOut and a sought after public speaker who captivates his audiences through his personal story of struggle and triumph, his leadership training program based on his experiences as a soldier and his law enforcement officer and most importantly his life living with his best friend and brother whose life and death has inspired all that he has accomplished since that fateful day when Andy died in 1989 Matt Cubbler matt@maxoutcorp.com https://www.facebook.com/matt.cubbler https://www.instagram.com/mattcubblerspeaks/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/mattcubbler/ www.mattcubbler.com
