You don't have to believe in God to experience certain great things in life… Do you know why that is?However, there is one experience you absolutely do NOT want to face apart from God.And unlike so many other things in this life, once it happens, there's no going back.Take two minutes and listen. This may be far more important than you think.

What began as a personal testimony eventually helped prepare her for television production and, ultimately, producing a movie. At the heart of Julie's testimony is a simple principle: say yes to God.Julie discusses what it means to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit when you cannot see where the journey will take you. She describes how God used seemingly disconnected seasons of her life—writing, healing, television, and filmmaking—“line upon line, precept upon precept” to prepare her for what came next. TS and Julie also explore the importance of waiting on God, recognizing His voice, obeying even when His direction seems unusual, and understanding that the ultimate purpose of the believer's life is to glorify God.In this episode, discover:Why saying yes to God can lead to an extraordinary life of faith. How painful seasons can become part of God's healing process. Why waiting is often an essential part of obedience. How Julie's personal testimony became On Earth as It Is in Heaven. Why aspiring Christian authors should begin writing when they sense God calling them. How small beginnings can prepare believers for much larger assignments. Why increasing obedience strengthens faith and prepares us for greater responsibility. How our individual stories can ultimately point people back to Jesus Christ.Julie closes with a powerful encouragement: do not despise small beginnings. What God is doing today may be preparation for an assignment you cannot yet see. Be faithful, remain obedient, and allow Him to receive the glory through your story. Is That Really a High View of Scripture? Craig Allert on Scripture, Canon, and the Story We Weren't Told

My dad had a giant church history timeline hanging in his office wall when I was a kid. And if you are a pastor's kid, you learn a lot watching how your parents handle the church member who shows up to run an inquisition. Somebody would come in and say, "You said X, but the biblical answer is not X," and Dad would point up at that timeline and start naming people. What about this guy? What about her? Eventually he would land on the line: "Look, I don't feel like cutting verses out of the Bible or saints out of our history." That is basically this whole conversation. Craig Allert teaches religious studies at Trinity Western University in Canada, he is a friend of Myron Penner (which is its own recommendation), and he has written two books that do the same work from different angles — one on the actual formation of the New Testament canon, and one on how the early church fathers read Genesis 1. The through-line is what D.H. Williams and Robert Louis Wilken call historical amnesia: we do not know who we are because we do not know where we came from, and the version we were handed is not the whole story. The real history turns out to be thicker, stranger, and considerably more invigorating for faith than the drop-out-of-the-sky version. Also, at some point I explain how modern scientific naturalism is a covert theology that kept the cathedral of creation and evicted God from it. Craig, generously, did not stop me. You can WATCH the conversation on YouTube Dr. Craig D. Allert is Professor of Religious Studies and Coordinator of the Christianity and Culture Program at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. He is a historical theologian specializing in early Christianity, patristics, and the formation of the New Testament canon. His books include A High View of Scripture? The Authority of the Bible and the Formation of the New Testament Canon ; Early Christian Readings of Genesis One: Patristic Exegesis and Literal Interpretation; and Revelation, Truth, Canon, and Interpretation: Studies in Justin Martyr's Dialogue with Trypho. After 16 years of clinical practice and 14 years as a business owner, Dr. Jones has dedicated his life to eradicating fear and helping people reclaim their personal sovereignty. In this powerful, deeply personal talk, Dr. Jones shares why true power lives in the center, not in anger or confrontation. He explores how getting caught in the "pendulum of emotion" keeps us burned out and thinking in groups instead of for ourselves, why sympathetic stress shuts down critical thinking, and how sovereignty of mind and body is what makes us human. He performs an original song for his daughter Willow Moon, shares indigenous wisdom about honoring seven generations past and future, and redefines "new normal" as the best future we can imagine. The episode closes with a guided breathwork meditation and a free masterclass offer on breaking away from mental slavery.   Highlights: "Your power is in the center. If I need to convince you, or I need to argue you, or I need to out-anger you, I'm keeping you away from me."   "If you're revved up, moving into sympathetic tone, you're losing the ability for critical thinking. There's a reason they're wanting to keep most people in fear."   "If you don't know your purpose, you don't know why you're here, and if you don't know why you're here, you don't know who you are."   "You know how the world changes? In Days 195–196 of Orchot Tzaddikim, The Ways of the Righteous, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe continues the Gate of Fear of Heaven by developing the idea that the human being is a microcosm of the entire world. Just as creation contains trees, herbs, fruits, waters, rivers, stones, mountains, winds, and countless other systems, the human body contains parallel structures and functions. The author uses these comparisons to awaken awe at the complexity and wisdom Hashem embedded within us.The lesson moves through a series of physical parallels: the digestive system is compared to the depths of the earth, arteries to rivers, bones to the foundations of the world, kidneys and bodily ducts to waterways, and the various fluids of the body to the different waters found throughout creation. The message is not merely anatomical. It is that the human body itself reflects a larger Divine pattern and should inspire a deeper appreciation of the Creator.Day 196 expands the comparison further. The Orchot Tzaddikim parallels hot and cold winds with human breath, thunder with the human voice, lightning with the brightness of the face, mountains with the body's joints and structures, stones with teeth and bones, soil with flesh and skin, vegetation with human hair, and even the zodiac with the spinal column and its attached structures. The author also describes ancient forms of wisdom through which sages were said to discern future events from natural signs, bodily features, vegetation, and other aspects of creation.Rabbi Wolbe concludes by emphasizing the wonder of the human body. The same wisdom Hashem placed throughout the cosmos is, in miniature, embedded within each person. The point is not to become distracted by speculative worlds beyond us, but to recognize the extraordinary miracle already present within our own bodies. Living a godly life in an ungodly world can be costly. Scripture makes it clear that believers should not be surprised when obedience to Christ brings rejection, ridicule, or resistance. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points to Paul's warning in 2 Timothy and Jesus' words in John 15: those who belong to Christ will sometimes face opposition precisely because they no longer belong to the world. When Christians pursue purity, righteousness, and integrity, a culture walking in darkness may resent the light their lives represent. But God does not call His people to stand alone. The Holy Spirit gives believers power to withstand the pressures around them, while God's Word exposes lies and trains us in righteousness. Scripture teaches, corrects, rebukes, and equips us to live faithfully in every circumstance. The more deeply we immerse ourselves in God's Word, the more our hearts and minds become aligned with His will. Obedience becomes clearer. Discernment grows stronger. And standing for Truth becomes less about resisting the world through sheer willpower and more about walking closely with Christ. When pressure comes, stay rooted in Scripture and dependent on the Holy Spirit. God has given you everything you need to stand firm, walk in the light, and remain faithful to Him. Prayer: God, thank You for Your Spirit within me to guide me to respond to worldly thinking with Biblical wisdom. Thank You for Your Word that exposes the lies around me. Help me to stay in Your Word so that my heart and mind will be aligned with Yours. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. What does the Gospel of John reveal about who Jesus really is? In this message from The Gospels, we journey through the Book of John and discover Jesus as the Light in the darkness, the Bread of Life, the Living Water, the Good Shepherd, and the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John gives us a beautiful picture of a Savior who doesn't simply offer us information about God—He invites us into a relationship with Him. At the center of John's Gospel is the incredible truth that God so loved the world that He gave His Son so that we could have life. Wherever you are today, Jesus is still the Light when you feel lost, the Living Water when your soul is thirsty, and the Good Shepherd who knows you and cares for you. The Gospels See Jesus. Know Jesus. Follow Jesus.

How can we know that what we hear is truly from God? John tells us not to blindly believe every spiritual claim, but to test what we hear against the truth of Jesus and the Word of God. As followers of Christ, we can trust the Spirit who lives in us and remain firmly tethered to Scripture rather than our preferences, feelings, or the voices around us. Truth is not determined by what sounds good to us, but by what God has already said.

Eben Britton spent six seasons as an NFL offensive lineman, a body built for collision, before a ruptured disc, a dislocated shoulder, and a cabinet of painkillers left him shattered at twenty-seven. We meet the man underneath the armor, and ask what remains when the identity you built your life around is stripped away injury by injury. Eben reads his injuries as psyche made physical, the weight of a family he carried on his back with no foundation to hold it. He traces the road out through a men's twelve-step room, cannabis, yoga, and the years he and Mike Tyson spent shepherding each other through the reckoning. What emerges is a study in death and rebirth, and the reframe that freed him: stop trying to find your purpose, and make your life purposeful. Psalm 82 confronts us with a God who sees injustice and calls His people to see it too. In a world where power can be misused, where the vulnerable can be overlooked, and where justice can feel out of reach, this Psalm reminds us that God stands above every authority and holds every ruler accountable. What does it look like to live faithfully when the world around us feels anything but fair? Psalm 82 invites us to trust the God who judges rightly and to take seriously His call to defend the weak, care for the vulnerable, and pursue what is good. But Psalm 82 ultimately points us beyond the broken systems and imperfect people around us to the perfect King who is coming. Our hope isn't found in human power, political influence, or our ability to fix everything ourselves. Our hope is found in Jesus—the One who reigns with perfect justice, brings redemption where there is brokenness, and calls His people to live differently in the world. As we sit with Psalm 82, we're invited to ask not only, ""What's wrong with the world?"" but also, ""How is God calling me to live in it?"" Join us as we discover what it means to trust God's justice, reflect His heart, and live faithfully under the reign of Jesus. They agreed to make a number of changes to its platform and algorithms, including time limits and the ability to choose a feed that is not driven by an algorithm.    In this episode, David Greely sat down with Frances to discuss the algorithms designed to capture our and our children's attention, their flaws, and how we can incentivize change and build better social networks. Neoborn Caveman lets loose a marble-mouthed satirical ramble on who gets to rule whom. He starts on Operation Banner, the British army on the streets of Northern Ireland from 1969, and on a government that treats Magna Carta as expired. From there NC looks at Defense Secretary William Cohen's 1997 admission that the United States has the means to steer weather, earthquakes and volcanoes, at Hurricane Sandy's 2012 left turn into New Jersey, and at Kings Mountain, North Carolina — lithium in the ground, a Pentagon supply deal, then the floods. After that Neoborn turns to ENMOD, Project Popeye over the Ho Chi Minh Trail in 1967, HAARP, and the 1977 UN ban on hostile environmental modification that the United States and the Soviet Union both signed. Later he takes the flattering story every nation tells about the day it began to school its children. NC then investigates Horace Mann's Prussian model, Massachusetts compulsory school in 1852, and Rockefeller's General Education Board from 1902. He explains how studying the Word of God confronted areas of compromise and ultimately led him toward repentance, transformation, and a new calling to teach on biblical sexuality. Throughout the conversation, TS and Mark address the growing cultural conflict surrounding sexuality, identity, truth, and the authority of Scripture. Mark challenges ideas such as defining truth individually and argues that Christians must evaluate cultural messages through the standard of God's Word.Mark also discusses the biblical framework presented in Sacred Sexuality, including his study of 185 Scriptures related to sexuality. The conversation examines God's design for sexual purity, holiness, marriage, singleness, celibacy, and the broader Christian call to live a life surrendered to Christ. The discussion then turns toward one of the most difficult questions facing many Christian families today: How do believers minister to someone they love who is living contrary to their understanding of biblical sexuality?Mark emphasizes several principles:Christians should first examine their own lives and walk in alignment with Scripture.Believers are called to share truth, but transforming another person is the work of the Holy Spirit.Prayer should be central to ministry and evangelism.Biblical truth should be communicated with both conviction and grace. No person is beyond the reach of God's mercy, forgiveness, and transforming power.TS and Mark also broaden the discussion beyond homosexuality or transgender issues, emphasizing that biblical sexual ethics address pornography, masturbation, prostitution, adultery, sexual activity outside marriage, and other forms of sexual sin. Their central message is that every believer is called to repentance, holiness, and surrender regardless of the particular area of temptation or struggle. The episode concludes with a message of hope: no one is too far gone for Jesus Christ. God's mercy remains available to those who turn to Him, and Christians are called to stand firmly upon biblical truth while extending grace to a culture searching for identity, meaning, and freedom.Featured Guest: Mark Richard Featured Book: Sacred Sexuality: Grace and Truth Revealed in a Culture of Confusion Recorded at: CPE, St. Charles, Missouri Host: TS Wright Podcast: Kingdom Cross Roads PodcastCall to ActionSubscribe to Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, share this episode, and join us as we equip believers to stand on biblical truth, extend Christ-centered grace, and carry the Gospel into a culture desperately searching for answers. Keywords / TagsMark Richard, Sacred Sexuality, biblical sexuality, Christian sexuality, sexual purity, biblical truth, Christian worldview, homosexuality and Christianity, LGBTQ Christianity, transgender Christianity, gender identity, same sex attraction, Christian testimony, freedom in Christ, repentance, grace and truth, holiness, sexual sin, pornography Christianity, biblical marriage, Christian marriage, singleness and celibacy, evangelism, Holy Spirit, prayer, Jesus Christ, Christian discipleship, biblical identity, culture of confusion, Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, TS Wright, CPE 2026, Christian podcast, faith podcast, Christian authors

Read OnlineThe Baptist's Final SermonHerod was the one who had John the Baptist arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, whom he had married. John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife.” Herodias harbored a grudge against him and wanted to kill him but was unable to do so. Mark 6:17–19Today's memorial recalls one of the most appalling acts of murder the world has ever known, surpassed only by the crucifixion of the Son of God. Saint John the Baptist stands as a towering figure in Salvation History. Though God raised up many prophets from the time of Israel's founding, none was greater than John, as our Lord Himself declared, “Among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist” (Matthew 11:11).John was miraculously conceived by elderly parents, Zechariah and Elizabeth, after long years of barrenness. The Archangel Gabriel foretold his birth, identifying him as the one who would go before the Lord “in the spirit and power of Elijah” (Luke 1:17). According to ancient Christian tradition, John was sanctified in his mother's womb at the moment of the Visitation. When the Blessed Virgin Mary, newly pregnant with the Son of God, greeted her kinswoman Elizabeth, “the infant leaped in her womb,” and Elizabeth was “filled with the Holy Spirit” (Luke 1:41).From the desert, John preached repentance, preparing hearts for the coming of the Messiah. But his boldness went beyond gentle invitations to conversion. He confronted the most powerful of his time, publicly rebuking Herod Antipas for his unlawful union with Herodias, his brother's wife. This courageous act of prophetic truth-telling cost John his freedom and, ultimately, his life.Herodias' vengeful hatred reveals the darkened heart of one who obstinately persists in grave sin when confronted by truth. She could not bear John's righteous rebuke. Herod, by contrast, was conflicted. He feared John, recognizing him as a holy and righteous man, and was even drawn to his preaching. But Herod lacked the moral courage to follow the truth. Enslaved by lust, pride, and concern for human opinion, he chose instead to silence the prophet through a cowardly act of murder at a banquet steeped in vanity and sensuality. Why would God permit the greatest of the prophets to suffer such a horrific death at the hands of evil? Because John's ultimate witness was not in his words or baptism alone, but in his martyrdom. His death became his greatest sermon, proclaiming through blood that the Messiah he heralded would also be slain by the wicked. Though John's disciples grieved his death—and Jesus Himself withdrew in sorrow when He heard the news—today the Church rejoices in the heroic witness of this great saint. The Church honors John as a prophet and a martyr. He is the only saint whose birth and martyrdom are both celebrated liturgically. His death prefigures the Passion of Christ. He was arrested, imprisoned, and executed not for any crime, but for fidelity to God's law. John's severed head was then displayed on a platter and stands as a chilling symbol of the world's rejection of God's truth. Are you willing to risk your comfort, your reputation, or even your life to uphold the truth? Saint John's witness continues to speak powerfully in every age. The full Gospel must always be proclaimed with clarity and courage. Martyrdom is not only a mark of past saints, it is the ongoing call of every faithful disciple. Whether through blood or through a daily dying to self, the world needs prophetic witnesses today.Reflect today on your own willingness to imitate Saint John's bold fidelity. How far are you willing to go to proclaim the Gospel to those who need it most? No sacrifice is too great, no cost too high when it comes to responding to Christ's call. Give everything for the Truth, and your witness will bear eternal fruit. My sorrowful Lord, Your Heart was grieved at the death of Saint John the Baptist, yet it also rejoiced in his unwavering fidelity to the truth he proclaimed with boldness and love. Fill me, too, with the spirit and power of Elijah, that I may carry on the proclamation of salvation in the way You have called me, even to the shedding of my blood, if You so will. Jesus, I trust in You.  Image: The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, by Hendrick Ter BrugghenSource: Free RSS feed from catholic-daily-reflections.com — Copyright © 2026 My Catholic Life! Inc. In Day 194 of Orchot Tzaddikim, The Ways of the Righteous, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe continues the Gate of Fear of Heaven with a fascinating comparison between the human being and the universe itself. If mankind reflects Hashem in a tiny and limited way, then the structure of the human body can likewise be understood as a miniature reflection of the greater world. The Orchot Tzaddikim draws parallels between the heavens and the human body: the skull resembles the heavenly firmament; the palate creates divisions within the body just as the firmament separates the waters; and the life-giving soul resides within and directs the body. Just as the universe is governed by the One Creator, the many organs and systems of the human body are unified and directed by one life-force.The author continues this imagery by comparing the seven openings of the head—two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, and the mouth—to the heavenly luminaries and planets. The larger message is that the human being is a remarkable microcosm of Hashem's creation. The more carefully we contemplate ourselves and the world around us, the more opportunities we have to recognize the wisdom embedded throughout creation.Rabbi Wolbe then turns from anatomy to character. Just as the animal kingdom contains gentle creatures as well as predators, human beings can develop very different qualities. Some live peacefully and compassionately, while others behave like predatory animals—using their strength to hurt or take advantage of others. The crucial difference is that we can choose. Hashem created the abilities and forces within creation, but human beings decide how those powers will be expressed. We can use what Hashem has given us constructively or destructively. Fear of Heaven therefore means not merely marveling at creation, but recognizing our responsibility within it and consciously choosing what kind of person we wish to become._____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Peter & Becky BotvinRecorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on March 23, 2026, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on August 28, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Share your questions at aw@torchweb.org or visit torchweb.org for more Torah content.  _____________About the Host:Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe, Director of TORCH in Houston, brings decades of Torah scholarship to guide listeners in applying Jewish wisdom to daily life.  To directly send your questions, comments, and feedback, please email: awolbe@torchweb.org_____________Support Our Mission:Our Mission is Connecting Jews & Judaism. After years of struggling with shame and asking why she could not stop, she entered a science-based program focused on neuroscience and changing thought patterns. What she discovered surprised her: many of the principles being taught reflected biblical truth—but without acknowledging the King behind the Kingdom. That realization helped lead Rose Ann to combine Scripture, prayer, meditation on God's Word, gratitude, intentional practice, and principles of neuroscience into a Christian approach to personal transformation. Her journey ultimately led to the devotional Transformed by His Promises, developed in collaboration with Dr. Karl Benzio. In this conversation, Rose Ann and TS discuss how these principles can apply not only to alcohol dependence, but to many kinds of life-interfering thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and habits—including unhealthy relationships with technology and other patterns that interfere with a believer's relationship with God. In This EpisodeRose Ann's journey from church leadership and alcohol dependence to freedomOvercoming shame associated with addiction and destructive habitsWhy changing behavior requires changing thought patternsThe connection between neuroscience and biblical principlesRenewing the mind through Scripture and intentional practiceUnderstanding cognitive dissonance and competing thought patternsWhy repetition helps create new habitsThe importance of Scripture memorizationHow journaling reinforces biblical truthThe spiritual and psychological power of gratitudeReplacing unhealthy habits rather than simply trying to eliminate themHow everyday habits—such as reaching for a cell phone—can interfere with time with GodWhy transformation requires practice, persistence, and dependence upon GodThe biblical principle that practicing something can eventually produce patterns of slavery—or patterns of freedomWhy age does not disqualify anyone from being transformed or used by GodRose Ann's reminder that it is never too late for God to transform your lifeRose Ann emphasizes that transformation is not limited to overcoming dramatic addictions. Anything repeatedly interfering with your relationship with God, your thinking, your emotional health, or your ability to walk in your calling deserves attention. One of the central messages of this episode is simple:God is not finished with you.Whether you are 40, 60, 80, or beyond, your past does not determine the limits of what God can still accomplish through your life. Rose Ann points to her own later-in-life transformation and TS highlights Moses, who was 80 years old when God called him into the defining assignment of his life.If something in your life is not working, continue pursuing God.Pursuing God is always the answer. S. Wright welcomes Golden Scroll Awards finalist Judi Galloway for a practical conversation about developing a deeper relationship with God through Scripture.Judi shares how she came to Christ as a child, grew up in a Christian home, and eventually began asking an important question: How do people learn to see so much in the Bible? That question helped launch her own journey into deeper Bible study. After years of participating in guided Bible studies, Judi felt prompted to begin studying Scripture on her own. She began using a journaling approach based on the SOAP method — Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer — and discovered that writing while studying helped deepen her comprehension, retention, and communion with God.That experience eventually became the foundation for her seven-week, 35-lesson Bible study workbook, Examining God's Word: Breathe New Into Your Love for the Bible. The study combines Scripture passages, prompts, practical study skills, journaling, testimonies, and faith-building lessons designed to help readers immediately put what they are learning into practice. In this episode, you'll discover:Why believers should learn to examine Scripture for themselves. How journaling can improve Bible-study comprehension and retention. How the SOAP method can provide a starting framework for studying Scripture. Why Judi designed her study to work for both new Bible readers and experienced students. The importance of following the example of the Bereans by examining Scripture to determine whether what we are being taught is true. How Examining God's Word uses faith as a recurring theme throughout its lessons. Why Bible study should ultimately lead to personal application and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. How believers can develop their own rhythm of studying and communing with God through His Word.Judi also explains why the physical workbook format is important to her method: readers are encouraged to work directly with the lessons while keeping a separate journal where they record what God is teaching them. Her goal is not merely to provide information about Bible study but to teach people how to study Scripture themselves.Whether you are opening the Bible seriously for the first time or have studied Scripture for decades, this conversation offers encouragement to keep digging deeper into God's Word.Featured Guest: Judi GallowayFeatured Book: Examining God's Word: Breathe New Into Your Love for the BibleHost: T. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! On this August 26th episode, Hunter guides us through Jeremiah 50–51 and the short but powerful letter of 3 John. In Jeremiah, we hear a sweeping prophecy concerning the fall of Babylon. The empire that once appeared invincible will be brought low. Its pride, violence, and oppression will not have the final word. God promises to remember his people, gather those who have been scattered, and bring them home. Then, in 3 John, we meet two men who could hardly be more different. Diotrephes loves to be first. He uses his influence to control others, rejects correction, and spreads accusations. Demetrius, by contrast, is known for humility and truth. His life bears witness to the good news he carries. Today's devotion invites us to consider which path we are choosing. Pride turns life inward and makes everything about us. Truth turns our attention toward God and sets us free. May we become humble pilgrims like Demetrius, growing in truth, walking in love, and discovering the joy Christ gives. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Diotrephes and Demetrius could not be more different. Diotrephes was known for speaking lies. He loved being the leader and wanted everything to revolve around him. He rejected the authority of others, spread accusations, and used his position to exclude people who would not submit to his control. He loved to be first. Demetrius was different. He was a humble, traveling messenger who spoke the truth of the good news. His words brought freedom because that is what truth does. John says that everyone speaks highly of Demetrius, and so does the truth itself. That is an extraordinary description. Demetrius did not need to promote himself. He did not need to grasp for influence or force others to recognize his importance. His life and character bore witness to the truth he proclaimed. The truth will always point us away from ourselves and toward God. Pride makes everything about us. It asks how we can be noticed, admired, obeyed, or placed first. It becomes defensive when questioned and threatened when others are celebrated. But the truth revealed in Jesus leads us in another direction. Jesus does not grasp for power. He empties himself. He kneels. He serves. He gives himself away in love. This is the way of Demetrius, the way of the humble, truth-speaking pilgrim. John's words invite us to examine our own hearts. Are we becoming defensive and controlling like Diotrephes? Do we need to be recognized, praised, or placed first? Or are we willing to walk quietly in truth, trusting that God sees us and that the truth itself will bear witness? Truth does not need our pride to defend it. Truth sets us free. The good news directs our attention away from our small and anxious selves and toward the God who is love. It frees us from the exhausting need to prove ourselves. It gives us the joy of simply walking with Christ and bearing faithful witness to his life. So let us choose the way of Demetrius. Let us become humble, truth-speaking pilgrims, growing in the truth, being set free by the truth, and discovering the joy of God along the way. May God give us the heart of Demetrius. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

What do you do when your sins feel too heavy to carry, when your closest friends turn against you, or when you look at the world and wonder why the wicked seem to prosper while the faithful suffer? In Psalms 49–101, the psalmists give voice to our rawest cries, leading us from the depths of personal brokenness straight into the healing sanctuary of God. Summary: In this moving exploration of Psalms 49–101, we walk through the second major collection of the Hebrew Psalter. Moving between searing prayers of confession and breathtaking anthems of praise, these chapters provide an emotional and spiritual compass for every trial of mortality. The Agony of Confession: We dissect Psalm 51, David's brokenhearted plea after Nathan confronted him regarding Bathsheba. We examine what it means to offer a "broken and a contrite heart," asking God not just for a pardon, but to "create in me a clean heart". The Sting of Betrayal: In Psalm 55, we explore David's lament over being betrayed not by an open enemy, but by an equal and trusted companion—a passage that powerfully foreshadows Judas's betrayal of Jesus Christ. Envy and the Sanctuary Perspective: We study Asaph's crisis of faith in Psalm 73, where his feet almost slipped while envying the ease of the worldly—until he entered the sanctuary of God and understood their end. Tears in a Bottle & God's Memory: We dive into Psalm 56, discovering the tender truth that God numbers our wanderings, stores our tears in His bottle, and never leaves us to face mortality alone. Divine Potential and Council: We analyze Psalm 82, exploring the divine council and the Savior's quotation of verse 6 ("Ye are gods") to understand the balance between human humility and divine heritage. Entering His Gates with Praise: We conclude with the exuberant joy of Psalm 100, examining the seven invitations to worship and the remarkable story of how the Spirit prompted B. H. Roberts to read this exact psalm in a moment of public trial. Call-to-Action: When your heart feels overwhelmed, David pleads: "Lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (Psalm 61:2).
