Comparativa Vintage 16V: Opel Kadett vs Volkwagen Golf

“And the winner is”… creo que os voy a sorprender: El Opel Kadett GSi 16v.

Riding in the car can be extremely conducive to sleep for people, sometimes even when they're driving. Falling asleep while driving though is not recommended. However, in Volkswagen's new autonomous, self-driving prototype, there's no driving necessary and the vehicle is actually designed to help you nod off.The company's recently unveiled prototype, GEN.TRAVEL, is less like a car you drive and more like an airplane that stays on the ground and doesn't need a pilot. Volkswagen envisions the vehicle as a step toward mobility-as-a-service and a replacement for short flights. And the modular interior is designed so sleeping in the car will be much more comfortable than resting your head against a rattling window. The GEN.TRAVEL has a modular interior concept that can be customized to overnight settings that include two fully reclining seats. The vehicle even includes a passenger restraint system to keep you safe even when lying down and a lighting system that “influences melatonin production to help passengers fall asleep and wake up naturally.” Basically, it's a four-wheeled version of the gummies I eat before bedtime. The GEN.TRAVEL isn't just for moving sleeping people around. Volkswagen sees it being used for business trips, with a conference setup with four seats and a large table in the middle, and for family trips, with front seats that can be configured to entertain the children using augmented reality. In case the thought of doing a lot of stuff other than driving in a moving vehicle makes you feel queasy, Volkswagen promises that the prototype's dynamic lighting will help minimize the effects of motion sickness. GEN.TRAVEL also includes a technology called electric Active Body Control that calculates actions like acceleration, braking or cornering before they happen and adjusts the driving style and trajectory accordingly. If the GEN.TRAVEL prototype can really evolve into a viable alternative to short flights, just imagine how much nicer it will be to have a car pick you up and let you sleep all the way to your destination instead of ever setting foot in an airport again.

Mantenimiento: Cuida tu coche, ahorra dinero

“Do It Yourself”… 2. Cambio de batería. 2. Sustitución de filtros. 3. Cambio de bombillas. 4. Cambio de correas. 5. Bujías nuevas. 6. Pastillas de freno. Coche del Día: Volkwagen 1600 TL.

Volkswagen Off-Road – America’s SUV Love Drives Lineup

Volkswagen Off-Road Volkswagen off-road is a phrase we haven't heard much of for years. Not since the Meyers Manx dune buggies were created from Beetles has VW really been associated with off-roading. But that's changing thanks to Americans' love affair with crossover SUVs.  Because of that Volkswagen has recently spruced up and added to its crossover SUV lineup. So, 2020 brings three Volkswagen off-road / crossover SUV options. There's the compact Tiguan which is in its second generation.  It has an optional 3rd row of seating.  But it's mainly for smaller humans. :0) Plus, the Atlas Cross Sport which is a 5-seat midsize new entry to the lineup.  It will soon be available at Southern California Volkswagen Dealers. And the Volkswagen Atlas, which arguably bumps up to full-size status with the entry of the Atlas Cross Sport.  Because it's a 3-row 7-plus seater that VW just added to its lineup in 2018. Now, are all of these Volkswagen's off-road-ready?  While not in a dedicated off-highway vehicle sense (OHV), it really depends on your degree of off-road-mindedness. And following Volkswagen's off-road trend, my friends at Ontario VW recently danced-up this Atlas. -->Continue reading or click play below to listen.

Vyplýva to zo štúdie, ktorú pripravila britská spoločnosť Moneybarn. Britská spoločnosť skúmala 96 najobľúbenejších hitov do auta poskladaných v aplikácii Spotify.

Businesses today are experiencing growing levels of distrust and disillusionment both internally and externally. Fuelled by high-profile stories of fraud and unethical behaviour from Volkwagen and Amazon to BHS and SportsDirect, customers, employees and investors are demanding greater transparency and stronger moral leadership from the organisations with which they do business. But is ethical behaviour a personal choice or a business imperative? New research from CIPD suggests that leaders who display strong moral character are likely to inspire greater motivation, productivity and commitment. In this episode we talk to three HR and business leaders about the role HR plays in developing strong ethical leadership in themselves and their employees.

This has been a crazy semester. Thus, I am delinquent in posting shows from this quarter. I am about to update the record. Let's start with Show # 244, October 2, my interview with Prof. Andrea Matwyshyn of Northeastern University Law School, on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Volkwagen fraud scandal. Andrea has been doing outstanding work focusing on how copyright law can impede the ability of computer security researchers to conduct their research. On behalf of several academic security researchers, she submitted a request for an exemption under the DMCA for such research, and found success in late October. In our interview, we discussed the nature of computer security research, the law around it, and its implications for issues like research around the still-unfolding Volkswagen scandal. I am a big fan of Andrea's work, and was delighted to have her on the show. I hope that you enjoy the interview. {Hearsay Culture is a talk show on KZSU-FM, Stanford, 90.1 FM, hosted by Center for Internet & Society Resident Fellow David S. Levine.
