You wake up tomorrow… and everything you've been chasing is already yours. Your handicap reads 0.0. Your business hits that long-awaited revenue milestone. No grind. No pressure. No failures. No growth. At first, it feels incredible. But then something shifts. Because deep down, you know you didn't earn it. You didn't become the person capable of sustaining it. And that's where the emptiness creeps in. In this episode, I break down why the process is the point—and why your obsession with shortcuts is quietly keeping you stuck. Whether it's golf, business, or life, the real goal isn't the outcome… It's who you become in the pursuit. In this episode, you'll learn: Why shortcuts feel so good—but sabotage long-term performance The psychological and emotional reasons you're wired to seek quick fixes How instant gratification creates the illusion of progress Why random action leads to random results The hidden cost of avoiding discomfort, failure, and uncertainty How lack of self-trust fuels constant searching for "the answer" How to redefine winning to focus on process over outcomes Practical ways to train your nervous system to tolerate discomfort If you're guilty of overly relying on shortcuts, this episode is the wake-up call you need to hear. Random action creates random results; intentional structure creates progress. Growth requires discomfort, and avoiding it guarantees stagnation. When you fall in love with the process, results arrive faster—and stick. Key Quotes: "Shortcuts aren't a strategy—they're a form of avoidance dressed up as progress." "We think we want the outcome, but what we're actually craving is becoming the person who achieves it." "Random action produces random results. Unintentional action produces unintentional results." "When you skip the process, you rob yourself of what makes results meaningful and sustainable." This episode supposed to be focused on my arrival in Oklahoma and some of my play there. But the fact is that I had multiple flight delays which caused me to have to stay overnight in chicago. Not wanting to waste time and not wanting to waste money on a hotel room, I opted to rent a car. I then drove that car to Milwaukee Wisconsin to gamble. Afterward, I travel back to Chicago and hit a couple casinos before finally flying to Oklahoma. This episode is an example of making something out of a bad situation and triumphing. This episodes includes results from three casinos in the Chicago and Milwaukee area as well as a large number of casinos in Oklahoma. Overall about 46 hours of travel and gambling without sleep.

In an enlightening and intense discussion, I sat down with James Laughlin, a globally recognised high-performance coach and a seven-time world champion musician. Through our conversation, we explored the essence of peak performance, personal belief systems, and the integral role of habits in fostering success. James offered valuable insights into his journey and the mental and physical frameworks that cultivate true high performance. What You'll Learn: The Foundation of High Performance: Understand James's perspective on how true peak performance is about exceeding norms while maintaining healthy relationships and well-being—not just relentlessly pursuing success at the cost of everything else. Radical Clarity: Learn why getting radically clear on your wants and needs is crucial in defining your path and avoiding distractions influenced by external pressures. Belief Systems and Their Impact: Discover how intrinsic and extrinsic motivations shape our drive and affect our outcomes, and why fostering strong, empowering beliefs is key. The Role of 'Meds' in Performance: James introduces the 'Meds' concept—mental training, exercise, diet, and sleep—as a holistic approach to supporting high performance and general well-being. The Pitfalls of Traditional Education: We discuss how conventional educational systems may not always support creative or high-performing individuals, emphasising the role parents play in filling the gap. The Dangers of Quick Fixes: James explains why there are no shortcuts to peak performance and how high achievers cultivate success through habits, not hustle or luck. Influencing Neurotransmitters Holistically: Explore how habits like meditation, cold therapy, and exercise naturally enhance motivation by regulating neurotransmitters. Motivation and Success: Understand why purpose, mastery, and autonomy, as identified by Daniel Pink, are vital to sustaining motivation and achieving long-term success. Key Takeaways: High performance integrates personal wellness: James believes maintaining balance across all life's facets leads to sustainable success. Understand the 'why': Clarifying your motivations is critical in staying focused and aligned with your true goals. Intrinsic motivation carries greater longevity: Unlike rewards and recognition, personal fulfillment and passion drive deeper and more enduring engagement. Education needs flexibility: Traditional systems may stifle creative potential; external support can nurture expansive thinking. Slow and steady builds mastery: The discipline of practice, as highlighted through deliberate learning, is vital for true accomplishment. Holistic health habits matter: Simple practices like adequate sleep and proper nutrition form the bedrock of cognitive and physical performance. When most people seek instant success in real estate, they look for a new tool, system, or magic script. That's not the answer. There are only 3 things that drive your speed, your trajectory, and ultimately, your results, and every agent has access to them. Most agents aren't failing because they're lazy or unmotivated. They're failing because they're putting their energy in the wrong places or doing the right things inconsistently. They confuse motion with progress, stay busy instead of productive, and spend their days reacting instead of building something predictable. In this episode, we break down the 3 non-negotiables for building a profitable real estate business fast. We share what really moves the needle in this market, how the industry has failed agents when it comes to training, and what to focus on instead of flashy tools or the next trendy tactic. Things You'll Learn In This Episode Conversations are your product If you're not selling homes, what are you selling, and how does that mental shift help you generate appointments today? The hidden power of repetitive boredom Why do agents who follow the same routine every day outperform the talented ones who don't? Stop doing more, start doing what matters What if cutting your daily to-do list in half actually helped you grow faster? Skill is the shortcut you've been avoiding How do small tweaks in your presentation, objection handling, and negotiation instantly multiply your results without adding more hours to your day? About Your Host Greg Harrelson is a real estate agent, coach, trainer and owner of Century 21 The Harrelson Group. He has been in the real estate business for over 30 years and has been professionally trained by coaches like Mike, Matthew, Tom Ferry, Chet Holmes and Tony Robbins. The Harrelson Group has been the leading office in the Myrtle Beach real estate market for years and they have recently added a new office in Charleston, SC. Guest Host Abe Safa is a highly experienced real estate expert with over two decades in the industry. He is a key leader at Century 21 The Harrelson Group, where he specializes in helping clients navigate complex real estate transactions with ease. In addition to his role at Century 21, Abe is a sought-after mentor and speaker, sharing his expertise through seminars and coaching programs to help other agents succeed in the competitive real estate market. #582 In this episode of the podcast, I take a deep dive into how comparison can seriously derail your progress and enjoyment as a photographer. Inspired by my own experiences learning new skills—like learning to juggle and nurturing my lawn—I share how easy it is to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others, especially in the age of social media. I remind listeners that success in photography, or any art, isn't reserved for those who started young or have the best equipment—it's all about showing up, being consistent, and putting in the work over time.I discuss the myth of overnight success by highlighting stories of people like Morgan Freeman and Stan Lee, who found their big breaks later in life. I emphasize that wherever you are in your journey is exactly where you need to be, and it's totally normal to have doubts and setbacks. What matters most is your willingness to keep going and focus on your own growth, not what others appear to be achieving.KEY TOPICS COVEREDThe Perils of Comparison in Photography - Raymond explains how comparing one's progress or results to others—whether it's speed of learning (like juggling), gear, or social media metrics—can steal the joy from personal growth. He urges photographers to focus on their individual journey and celebrate each step forward. The Myth of Instant Success and the Power of Consistency - Using stories of well-known figures like Morgan Freeman and Stan Lee, Raymond underscores that it's not too late to start or improve at photography (or any art). He highlights the importance of steady effort, practice (“putting in the reps”), and embracing the “gray areas” of life and art.Setting Intentional Goals and Noticing the World - The episode shifts towards actionable advice—encouraging listeners to discover what draws them to photography, rather than chasing external validation. Raymond introduces a practical seven-day photo diary challenge, urging listeners to capture images that make them “pause and notice,” fostering mindfulness and personal vision.IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS & CONCEPTSComparison Trap: The tendency to measure one's worth or progress against others, leading to dissatisfaction and doubt. Relevant throughout the episode as Raymond identifies it as a major hindrance to creative growth.Reps (Putting in the Reps): A term borrowed from training, here meaning to consistently practice taking photos. The more you shoot, the better you'll become—emphasizing process over perfection.DISCUSSION & REFLECTION QUESTIONSHow has comparing your work to others affected your enjoyment of photography? What motivates you to pick up your camera—validation from others, or personal fulfillment? In what ways can you adopt more consistency in your photographic journey?Sign up for your free CloudSpot Account today at www.DeliverPhotos.comConnect with Raymond! Aurum Resources (ASX: AUE) non-executive director Mark Strizek joins Small Caps to discuss the company's early drilling success at the Boundiali gold project in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. Aurum wrapped up the acquisition of Boundiali's former owner and Côte d'Ivoire mining specialist PlusOr Global in mid-December. Included in that acquisition was two drilling rigs and a considerable amount of support equipment . Aurum has been utilising the rigs with great success, hitting a number of shallow, high-grade gold intersections in its ongoing diamond drilling program. The company has now purchased a third diamond drill rig to add to its fleet, which will increase drilling capacity from 2,600m per month to ~4,000m per month from late April 2024. Aurum has a strong cash balance of $3.9 million as of 29 February 2024, with a further $3.3 million expected following shareholder approval from the recent $7 million capital raising, allowing Aurum to accelerate Boundiali resource definition in 2024. Will it impact his draft status and is this an opportunity for Rome Odunze to stand out more?-What will the Competition Committee be most busy this month and this off-season trying to rectify?

Intention is the difference between stumbling upon success and deliberately creating it... With that intention comes planning and the self-awareness of what true results look like from a time perspective. You see, true results are delayed by 60-90 days, especially when it comes to our health and fitness. We all love instant gratification but the work you're putting into your workouts, your nutrition, your sleep, and your recovery won't show up the first few days. We need to keep going and keep doing the actions we know we need to in order to see the progress and results we want. What helps this journey and process is defining what success looks like for us as individuals. In today's short episode, we are going to discuss how to set yourself up for success, the importance of taking action, and the nuances of success. The business dream isn't always so dreamy. So how do you continue with confidence when it feels like everyone around you is so uncertain about where you're going? This week we're going to get real vulnerable.... We're all about authenticity in The Launch Lounge, and yes, we do share the perceived wins. But we're also committed to keepin' it real and sharing the perceived losses. The world tells us success should be instant. So it's no wonder many of us walk around feeling like utter failures because a 6 figure launch didn't happen immediately! It takes a while for things to start coming together. It takes time before financial results start flying through. And it's all part of the journey, and it's a really good thing because it allows you to get crystal clear on the bits that are working (and ready to scale) and the bits that are wasting your time and resources. But I get it. At times, growing an online course can feel like eating dry cardboard. Data, patience, testing, trialing, zero sales....it can feel like all your hard work is going down the drain. But it's in this very moment when it all feels too hard; you need all the hope, support, understanding, and patience in the world to keep going because you're well on the way to seeing incredible results. Believe me, it's going to happen! It's also at this moment when a shiny, bright bajillion-dollar successful launch story can make you want to throw a hammer at your laptop and scream, WHEN IS IT MY TURN! So this week on The Shine Show, we're going to get honest about the online course journey. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. My courageous, brilliant student Diane Evans from PhotoFluent transparently & bravely shares her online course journey. Even though her course teaches travellers to take photos they feel proud of, her business journey has been anything but picture perfect. Rather than giving up, Diane has stuck to her vision and found a way to keep the hope alive, find confidence within herself, and stay true to her dream. If you're losing hope and feeling like things are taking forever to happen, this episode is exactly for you. Don't let the feeling of failure shape your future. Tune in now and hear Diane's story for yourself! It'll inspire you to keep going even when it feels tough. XXX Salome P.S. The Launch Lounge doors are opening for a limited time only. One of the things that can make or break your success is the community you surround yourself with. A community that supports you, cheers you on, and understands a growing list is JUST AS exciting as a full bank account. The Launch Lounge will fast track your progress and show you how to get results without wasting time & money along the way. It seriously pays for itself. Spots are strictly limited, so make sure your name is on the waitlist!

Electric pressure cookers hit it big in American home kitchens a few years back because, along with the perceived lower risk of dinner on the ceiling, they cook food fast. Something like beef stew, which takes all day in a slow cooker, needs as little as 25 minutes under pressure. With an extra hit of power, Instant Pot's new six-quart Max promises to take that speed and turn it up to 11, getting dinner to the table even faster. Could it? I wondered.
