Mack Wilberg). The Tabernacle Choir Life can be so unpredictable—joys and sorrows, beautiful blessings and distressing difficulties, can come unexpectedly. Our life's dreams and plans can change in an instant. We all know this to be true. So how can we find peace amid such turbulence? Horatio Spafford knew something about life's unexpected challenges. He was a successful attorney and real estate investor who lost a fortune in the great Chicago fire of 1871. Around the same time, his beloved four-year-old son died of scarlet fever. Thinking a vacation would do his family some good, he sent his wife and four daughters on a ship to England, planning to join them after he finished some pressing business at home. However, while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, the ship was involved in a terrible collision and sunk. More than 200 people lost their lives, including all four of Horatio Spafford's precious daughters. His wife, Anna, survived the tragedy. Upon arriving in England, she sent a telegram to her husband that began: “Saved alone. What shall I do?” Horatio immediately set sail for England. At one point during his voyage, the captain of the ship, aware of the tragedy that had struck the Spafford family, summoned Horatio to tell him that they were now passing over the spot where the shipwreck had occurred. As Horatio thought about his daughters, words of comfort and hope filled his heart and mind. He wrote them down, and they have since become a well-beloved hymn: When peace like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll— Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to know It is well, it is well with my soul. Perhaps we cannot always say that everything is well in all aspects of our lives. There will always be storms to face, and sometimes there will be tragedies. But with faith in a loving God and with trust in His divine help, we can confidently say, “It is well, it is well with my soul.”   Watch this video with subtitles at-  https://youtu.be/Eg5O2y1UXw4?si=JvgZ32hBe4iqMK3J   The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square 891K subscribers 5,209,607 views Aug 2, 2017 For the story behind this song:     • It Is Well with My Soul - The Spoken ...   The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square perform Mack Wilberg's arrangement of "It Is Well with My Soul," by Philip P. Oh, voice of the Lord! Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul!   And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul   Aired June 25, 2017.   General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ 586K subscribers 12,448 views Feb 12, 2015 https://www.lds.org/general-conferenc... I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends. This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices. To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth. So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13 It's also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn't make decisions for you. It doesn't give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior. The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.   American Conservative University Podcast (ACU) is not an official representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In dieser Folge ist Alexandra Rosener dabei und es geht um den It´s Alright Baby´s Coming Back von den Eurythmics. 4. It's alright, baby's coming back. I don't really care where he's been.

When I'm sad she comes to meWith a thousand smilesShe gives to me free "It's alright", she saysIt's alrightTake anything you want from meAnythingBereitet G*tt den Weg; denn siehe, G*tt kommt gewaltig. 2. – Kopf hoch – It´s Alright – Here Comes The Sun. Gott wird Mensch – It´s Alright. Written to combat Gnosticism. A Preoccupation with deliverance from the flesh dualistic view of man [matter was evil and spirit was good].  · Matter is inherently evil. It was Peter's task to talk about the kingdom of God, Paul about the church of God, but John is concerned with the family of God, to bring them back to the basics of truth.  He was a net mender One is in the passage just read, Verse 4. “And we are writing this that your joy may be complete.”….Answers the fear of loneliness Then in Chapter 2, Verse 1, he says, “My little children, I am writing this to you so that you may not sin.”… the problem of guilt. And in Chapter 2, Verse 26, he gives us the third reason: “I write this to you about those who would deceive you.”… that we might be free from deception. In Chapter 5, Verse 13, he gives us the fourth reason: “I write this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”… I am writing this to assure you” – that you might find security, At the close of this letter John tells us, “He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of God has not life,” {1 Jn 5:12 RSV}. 1John 1:1-4 is a defense of the authenticity of the humanity of Christ, or the Test of Believing that Jesus has come in the flesh 1Jo 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 1Jo 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. He talks about A relationship, a fellowship, and a joy that follows. A relationship V1 John does not refer here to the absolute beginning of creation (Ge 1:1) but to the beginning of the message of Jesus Christ to the apostles Luke 24:39 “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” 40 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.” The “Word” is Christ manifested as God's message. He reveals God. Hebrews 1: God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,  2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; “Of life” means life-giving. Jesus is both the messenger and the message. The message and the messenger are identical.  V2 2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” A fellowship V3 Entering the eternal life of the Son will produce two results: 1) fellowship with fellow believers, and 2) fellowship with the Father and the Son. A Definition of fellowship There is, first of all, a partnership, i.e., the sharing of mutual interests, mutual resources, mutual labor together. God and I, working together, a partnership. All that I have is put at his disposal. But it is not only partnership, there is also friendship. Friendship and partnership together spell fellowship. Have you ever thought of this, that God desires you to be his friend? John 15:15 Jesus said to his disciples, “I have not called you servants, but I have called you friends,” John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” Jesus shows us the life that man is intended to live – a continual dependence upon the life of the Father. Look at the earthly life of Jesus and this is exactly what you see. He keeps saying, “I don't do these things, it's not I who accomplishes these works, it is the Father who dwells in me,” {cf, John 14:10}. He is continually reminding people that he says only what the Father is saying through him that they are not his words, he simply looked to God and trusted God to be working through him, leading him to think the thoughts and to say the things that God wanted him to say. In doing this he expressed exactly the mind of God. It is that life that John is talking about, a new way of living, a new way of reacting to situations in dependence upon God.  And that is what makes a Christian, to share the life of God by relationship to a Person, the only Person who has that life, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. A Joy That Follows V4 Then, when you have fellowship, you have the third thing that John mentions. These things we are writing, he says, “that your joy may be full.” Joy is a kind of quiet inner excitement and this is what results when we really experience the fellowship that John is talking about. When we discover that God is actually When we discover that God is actually using us, it is the most exciting and joy producing experience possible to men. Jer. 15:16 Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. There is a difference between happiness and joy. Happiness depends on what happens; that is, it depends on circumstances. If our circumstances are good, then we are happy. However, if our circumstances are poor, then we are unhappy. However, joy is independent from circumstances. Circumstances cannot affect our relationship with God.  Song…It's real, it's real, thank God it's real John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” Mark 8:36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? He can Save you if You ask Him based on His death, burial, and resurrection for your sins. Believe in Him for forgiveness of your sins today. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  -John 8:32 Our mission is to spread the gospel and to go to the least of these with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ; We reach out to those the World has forgotten.  hisloveministries.podbean.com #HLMSocial hisloveministries.net https://www.instagram.com/hisloveministries1/?hl=en Don't go for all the gusto you can get, go for all the God (Jesus Christ) you can get. Songs for the Struggling Artist

Disculpe, pero – I cannot stop watching Spanish television shows during this pandemic. This is the third time, I know, but I’m on my fourth Bambú show and watching it (and the others) has made me think about something I had never really considered before. It was during the finale of Season 2 of Velvet (a show about a high fashion couture store in Madrid in the 50s) that I thought, “watching that character cry is one of my favorite things onscreen. I could watch that guy cry for five more hours.” And that reminded me of how much I enjoyed the crying of another man in another show by the same production company, Gran Hotel. These creators show men crying in a way I have never seen in American media. To read more of Men Crying visit the Songs for the Struggling Artist blog. *TRIGGER WARNING*This is a heavier episode as we speak of sexual abuse, childhood trauma, and incest. If you are a survivor of abuse, incest, or sexual assault, please listen with caution or skip this episode entirely. The last thing I would want is for hearing these things to set you back in your healing journey or trigger negative thoughts or emotions. Please practice self care, reach out to a trusted love one, and/or CALL RAINN's National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800.656.HOPE (4673) or TEXT their Live Chat here.//Author and filmmaker Annie Margis is a childhood incest victim working to give millions of victims a voice by wiping out the taboo against talking about incest. In 2012, with the support of a cadre of volunteers, she created a helpline where adult victims from around the world connect with fellow survivors and share their stories. Having heard thousands of tragic personal histories, Annie is a front-line expert on the life-long impact of childhood incest. In this episode, Annie shares her story and how her abuse affected her entire childhood. She describes childhood incest and abuse as "the #MeToo that's still taboo." Through writing her book, The Ugliest Word, she has opened up the conversation around childhood incest and shed light on the shame and stigma that drives silence of survivors. She shares about the following:Her story of childhood incestHow the abuse affected her entire childhoodHow triggers and trauma manifestedHow stigma and shame plays a part as a survivor of incestHealing through writing and sharing her story through helplinesHow to respond to a survivorTune in to hear the rest of her story!//Connect with Annie & her work:Website: theugliestword.comBook: The Ugliest Word by Annie MargisEmail: annie@theugliestword.comFacebook:The Ugliest WordAnnie MargisInstagram: @theugliestwordTwitter: @theugliestword//Song: It's A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong//Follow along with the rest of my journey.Instagram:@whytli@inthewakewithwhytliFacebook: Whytli RogersTwitter: @whytliPinterest: WhytliTikTok: @whytliLinkedIn: Whytli RogersWebsite: whytli.comContact me here.Support the show (https://paypal.me/whytli?locale.x=en_US)

Dr. J.A. Jones addresses the current racial pandemic in our society that has been around for years. He talks about George Floyd's murder and how we need to understand color in our communities. Some of the areas he addressed are recognizing bad behavior and understanding where it came from. He states that some of the reasons people are cruel, hurtful or kill other people in words and actions are: desperation, fear, ignorance, and generational pass downs. He gives some insights from the movie "Green Book" that talks about racism. He gives us some day to day practical things we can do to make impactful, effective and lasting changes.  There are spiritual solutions to real problems My service is to help others that are stuck in mental strongholds through encouragement, authenticity, and biblical wisdom. I will help you get better, be free and live a joy filled life. There are always solutions to every problem. Once we learn how to think successful then it becomes a lifestyle instead of a momentary experience. If you are depressed, stressed, facing anxiety, low self-worth, and esteem, or dealing with fear, worry, marriage challenges, trying to be a successful single, being a better parent, managing your money or leader in the community when listening to this podcast you will become better.
