The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: New Jersey's First Lady Tammy Murphy formally announced her intention to run for U.S. Senate—challenging Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) for his seat. Menendez has been charged with acting as a foreign agent for Egypt and with accepting bribes in exchange for influence. Is she using her symbolic office of First Lady to elevate herself to the U.S. Senate? During a press conference this week, Tammy Murphy promoted new legislation to expand doula care access in New Jersey. Alastair Gale of The Wall Street Journal warns that new Chinese submarines, equipped with cutting-edge technology, can now rival U.S. submarine dominance. He writes: “Much of China's current submarine technology comes from reverse-engineering diesel-electric submarines bought from Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Closer military ties between Moscow and Beijing in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine have spurred concerns that Russia may be willing to share some of its advanced submarine technology with China, but there have been no clear indications of such transfers…Simulations of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan conducted by American military analysts often assume U.S. submarines would try to sink ships in the attacking Chinese fleet. The destruction of Chinese ships could help blunt the invasion and enable Taiwan to better defend itself, some of the simulations show, but a greater threat to U.S. submarines would complicate that task.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/world/china/us-submarine-dominance-shift-china-8db10a0d?mod=hp_lead_pos8 David Zimmerman of National Review writes: “Elon Musk announced X will file a ‘thermonuclear lawsuit' on Monday against Media Matters for America after one of its reports prompted multiple corporations to pull their advertising from the billionaire's rebranded social-media platform. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (11/21/2023): 3:05pm- During Tuesday's broadcast of “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough claimed that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is “not a normal candidate”—ultimately accusing him of wanting to end democracy in the United States and arguing that it is fair to compare Trump to Nazi leaders. 3:15pm- According to a newly released NBC News poll, presumed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race—46% to 44%. It's the first time Trump has ever led Biden in an NBC general election poll. The Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA), introduced by Senator Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.), would effectively make the local news industry dependent on the government for revenue, setting up a state-run media system that would induce any local paper to think twice about criticizing politicians who voted to stuff their bank accounts.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/11/the-link-tax-government-subsidized-state-media/ 3:40pm- According to data from the American Farm Bureau Federation, “this year's classic Thanksgiving feast for 10 will be $61.17, or approximately $6.12 per guest. How do you write the score to someone else's self-mythology? That's the challenge this week's guest, composer Ronen Landa, faced for one of the year's most idiosyncratic, difficult-to-describe shows, Peacock's Paul T. Goldman. A strange mix of documentary comedy and wish fulfillment, the show follows the titular man, a nebbishy middle-aged guy who turned his hellish marriage to his second ex-wife into a grand quest for justice in the form of a bestselling self-published novel (and subsequent script adaptation). These, with the help of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm director Jason Woliner, take the form of compellingly straight-laced reenactments of Paul's life as he saw them, with the man playing himself, surrounded by professional actors at once bewildered and fascinated by his presence. It's a wild, weird mix of true-crime and true-crime satire, a needle that Landa was very careful to thread. In fact, he constructed his score much like a concept album, bringing in an intimate ensemble with strings and piano to record a lend Paul's own search for truth -- as blinkered as it may or may not be -- a sense of grand, personal tragedy. Then there's its ominous main title theme, with harsh, lurching low piano chords surrounded by mysterious strings and building brass. Together, Landa and I speak about building the score for Paul T. Goldman without seeing much of the finished product, folding the theme on top of that, and embracing the enigma of its strange, compelling central figure. Aaron Mellman is a Renaissance man in all forms of media production, and he's the Marketing Director at Aiden Technologies. Aiden Technologies is an automated endpoint management service that's designed to keep Windows secure, even when brought up to scale. Its patent-pending software uses AI to automate the process of patch management and software deployment fully. Aaron has had a long career leading up to Aiden, first working at Lionsgate Entertainment as a distribution assistant. From there he worked as a TV producer, director, and camera operator for BBC, Animal Planet, and National Geographic. He took his talents into videography and his own production company before ultimately switching to marketing, where he works today. In this episode… Knowing how to present a new business is crucial for its success. After all, if the unique ideas of your company don't come through, how will it stand out among the competition? Having a great product is important, but knowing how it fits into the industry is just as important. Quality marketing allows these businesses to tell their product's story in a way that consumers can understand. It's great if telling stories is in your background. Aaron Mellman is a marketer with plenty of experience in media production. His own company worked with networks such as BBC and Animal Planet. He now uses those same principles in marketing and digital strategy. Aaron currently works for Aiden Technologies, which is a prime case study due to its complex nature as an endpoint management service. How do you market this kind of product, and how do you find your target audience? Alex Gluz sits down with Aaron Mellman, the Marketing Director at Aiden Technologies, to find out how he markets a new business. Aaron walks through his process of testing, optimizing, and scaling your marketing to ensure steady growth. He goes over how to find your niche in your field and how to differentiate yourself from competitors. The two also take the time to discuss the daily rituals that help them find work-life balance. It's all of that and more on this episode of the Revenue Engine Podcast.

Frank discusses his love for history and economic theory. Back in 2001, he became convinced the dollar would head down and that gold would go up. He became convinced once the Fed changed its approach to the dollar. Moral hazard was developing, and it became quite evident to Frank during the fall of 2001. This hazard became clear to everyone during the 2008 crisis when the Fed lowered rates further and started printing money. Since then, global debt has doubled and now stands at 270 trillion dollars. This debt can't be serviced, so interest rates can't be allowed to rise. Money printing must now continue indefinitely, as we're in an inescapable vicious cycle. The pandemic was just one more excuse for the printing of money. We've left the billion era and are now in the trillion-dollar era. The days of the dollar reserve currency are numbered. All commodities are up sharply over the last 12+ months, and these costs will work their way into consumer goods over the next few quarters. This level of inflation has not been seen since the 1970s. This will really put a fire under gold. Watch carefully real interest rates as inflation will be hard to hide. Frank advises that buying on dips may not always work because the bubbles today in equities are overvalued, and the bond markets are even worse. Bubbles are always waiting to pop. The Fed always comes to the rescue until they don't, or their actions become ineffective. The levels of speculation today are off the charts and will end very badly. He advises caution when it comes to cryptocurrency, and investors should recognize that this is a highly speculative market driven by cult-like greed. Diversify, take a percentage, and put it into gold. He discusses his successes in the mining industry and his strategy for building successful companies. It's mostly about management and then finding good assets in decent jurisdictions. This gold market is just beginning, so he started Aris Gold with an excellent management team to capitalize on the coming move. Lastly, Frank discusses what brings him peace and balanced life while minimizing potential life regrets. Always learn new things and keep your mind sharp. As I continue (as a middle-aged white dude) to attempt to learn more about Black History, Culture, and issues, a friend of mine suggested I watch the TV show Black AF on Netflix as there is always a hidden history lesson. (a writer and producer) plays a television writer and producer (named Kenya Berris). In one episode the main character (who is a movie and television creator) is worried about giving feedback to a fellow black creator, and also is worried about what others might think about his films and content. In sone scene, Kenya meets Tyler Perry who might know from his movies feature Madea. This is a character played by Perry. She is a tough, elderly African-American woman. She 6'2" and 365 lbs. Diary of a Mad Black Woman—2005 Madea's Family Reunion—2006 Meet the Browns (cameo)—2008 Madea Goes to Jail—2009 I Can Do Bad All by Myself—2009 Madea's Big Happy Family—2011 Madea's Witness Protection—2012 A Madea Christmas—2013 Boo! A Madea Halloween—2016 Boo 2! A Madea Halloween—2017 A Madea Family Funeral—2019 Transcript from Black AF Featuring Tyler Perry In the episode, Kenya asks about the website Rotten Tomatoes. ---- Kenya Barris: Go to Rotten Tomatoes. Tyler Perry: But let me just tell you about the tomatoes. I don't fuck with 'em. Kenya Barris: No tomatoes? Tyler Perry: I don't give a damn about a rotten or a fresh none of that means shit to me. Kenya Barris: That's amazing. What about critics? Tyler Perry: I don't give a fuck Kenya Barris: I guess that's amazing. Tyler Perry: Can I just tell you why? Listen, man, I know that I'm telling stories that my folks want to see. I'm talking from our point of view. We're speaking a language. We're speaking a shorthand that we get, and that white people don't necessarily get. Nina Simone said this and I never forgot that she said, "You will use up everything you got trying to give everybody what they want." You got to focus man you know what I do? I super serve my niche. We speak like we're talking we know each other - we get it. There's a lot of times I see shit that wins Oscars and I be like, what is this shit? I walked out halfway through it. I don't get it. I feel like they feel the same way about my work. They don't get it, which is all cool. My mother born in Jim Crow South In Louisiana, right down the street from Mississippi where Emmett Till was murdered. She told me the value of being who I am of my blackness. She said, "Don't you ever let anybody tell you who you are, you know who you are, you know where you come from." I watched her stories, I watched her struggles and that's what I'm telling. I'm telling the stories that I come from, and that's why they're winning. Because people are recognizing themselves in these stories, no matter how crass that people think they are, no matter what the critics are saying, Oh, I don't get this shit. I don't understand what is. I don't give a fuck because I'm talking to us. That's why millions of people are watching my shows every week. That's why people keep showing up and sending the movies to number one. I'm talking to us connecting with us. You know, I'm saying? Let me tell you what you're doing, you're trying to get them to approve you. That's when I don't get why niggas run around trying to get white folks, "Please tell me I'm special. Oh, give me your Oscar. Oh, let me know I'm all of these things that you want me.." Fuck that. Tell your story. Live in your own life in your own culture. Tell your own experience. Ain't nobody gonna tell you how to be you. You hear what I'm saying? Kenya Barris: I do man. I really fucking do. Tyler Perry: Good. ---- Now keep in mind that this is Kenya Berris playing himself and the same for Tyler Perry, but the more I got into researching Tyler Perry the move I loved his message. It's Not How You Start - It's How you Finish Tyler grew up in Louisiana with his mother and an alcoholic father who would beat both he and his mother. His Success Didn't Come Overnight Tyler started with plays. His first play cost $12,000 to put on. He expected to get 1200 people, and instead he got 30. It Starts With Knowing Your Audience Tyler Perry knows white critics are not going to get his movies. He doesn't care because he got feedback from someone who saw the movie "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and she said, "In two hours, you got my sister to do what we've been trying to do for twelve years - leave an abusive relationship." (source) His Attitude on Feedback In his book Higher is Waiting, he states, "What's more, you need some naysayers in your life. You need people to challenge your point of view. Your job is to look for the truth in their negativity. For instance, sometimes I'll get a bad review. And my first defensive reaction is to think it's completely off the mark. Once I give myself a moment and allow my initial reaction to be released, I'll read it again to see if there's anything I can learn from the review. If it's pure vitriol, well, I let it go. But if there's some truth, even a kernel, I'll use what's written to be better at what I do. I can take constructive criticism." It Took Seven Years to Start to Catch On Tyler mentions how each year he would work different jobs, saving his money so he could put his play I Know I've Been Changed on in a theater. Upon the seventh year, he started to get feedback from attendees saying how much they enjoyed the play. It would go on tour from 1998-2000. He Went To Where His Audience Was Perry continued to create new stage productions, touring with them on the so-called "Chitlin' Circuit" (now also known as the "urban theater circuit") and developing a large, devoted following among African-American audiences. In 2005, Forbes reported that he had sold "more than $100 million in tickets, $30 million in videos of his shows and an estimated $20 million in merchandise", and "the 300 live shows he produces each year are attended by an average of 35,000 people a week." He is Brave and Shares His Faith If you interview Tyler Perry he will say his success is due to one thing. The grace of God. He knows saying "Jesus" is not a popular thing to do in mainstream media. But it's not to his audience. In a survey in 2007 by the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life, the African-American population was found to be more religious than the U.S. population as a whole, with 87% of its members being affiliated with a religion, and 79% of them saying that "religion is very important in their life", in contrast to 83% and 56% of the whole US. population, most of which is Christian, with 83% of black Americans identifying as Christian, including 45% who identify as baptist. He Owns All of His Material While many podcasters are looking to be on a big network, Tyler Perry went direct. He rented theaters for his plays. He wrote, acted, and directed his content. Why? His father was a carpenter and he would see his father build a house and get paid $8,000 while to owner/seller of the house got $80,000. Perry's films are co-produced and distributed by Lions Gate Entertainment; he retains full copyright ownership under the corporate name Tyler Perry Films, and places his name in front of all titles. Perry's movies have seen very limited release outside North America, but in May 2010, Lionsgate announced plans to begin releasing his films in the United Kingdom. He Gives Back to His Community His dream was to own his own studio. He bought land in Atlanta Georgia that was previously a confederate fort that made plans to keep 3.9 million negros enslaved, and he put built it there so other black children could see "that the land is now owned by one negro." This week on The Wealth Exchange, David Sung, President of Nicola Wealth Management, will be your host. He's kicking off a new segment called ‘Lead Impact,' where they'll be meeting with successful leaders to learn how they use their influence to create impact and inspire change within their community and beyond. For their first guest on this new segment, David is joined by Frank Giustra — businessman, philanthropist, and mining pioneer. Frank is the CEO of the Fiore Group of Companies; a private firm managing a broad portfolio of private equity investments in companies specializing in food and lifestyle, art and entertainment, and has a proven track record in financing and building natural resource companies. Frank's entrepreneurial successes include founding Lionsgate Entertainment (now one of the world's largest independent film companies). During this episode, David and Frank discuss the markets and the recent attraction to gold, his advice for living a balanced life (including how he teaches his kids about wealth), and his strategy for philanthropy. Tune in to hear Frank's invaluable insight on how he uses his influence to create impact and inspire change! Key Takeaways: [:29] David Sung speaks about The Wealth Exchange's new segment: Lead Impact, and introduces the special guest this week, Frank Giustra. [1:32] David welcomes Frank on to the podcast. [2:42] Frank gives some background on how he got started in the precious metals space and became interested in gold in particular. [9:09] A bank in Denmark was the first to issue a negative interest rate mortgage. This may seem like a great thing for a homeowner, but as Frank explains, it might not be all good. [11:52] Frank's thoughts on the public equity market. [13:27] In addition to gold as a hard asset, where else does Frank recommend someone put their capital? Would real estate be a consideration? And what percentage of someone's portfolio should be in gold? [14:35] Frank has been quoted to say that gold will reach new highs in this phase and cycle but also faces an ugly future. He elaborates on what he meant by that. Are we looking at a large percentage drop in the market? [20:11] Should we be stocking up on physical gold? [22:20] How does Frank recommend we prepare the next generation for the future economy and the transition of wealth, both as an investor and as a parent? [26:40] Frank reveals the five secrets to living a balanced life. [35:35] With so many people in the world who need help and support, when is it okay to stop or take a break for your own wellbeing? And where is he currently at with other crises is he involved in (such as the crises in Syria and Venezuela)? [42:56] When does family and philanthropy cross over for Frank? And when did he begin to engage his children in doing philanthropy themselves? [46:06] Frank explains his approach to philanthropy as well as his succession plan for philanthropy. At the turn of the century renowned rock frontman Rob Zombie looked to venture into a genre he loved as the writer/director of an ambitious, artistically driven first film featuring a cast of classic genre performers. Due to the grotesque nature of the film, Universal Pictures blocked its release but after Zombie purchased the film from them he found a new home with the feature at Lions Gate Entertainment to release the film theatrically. On April 11th, 2003 the nearly 3 year journey reached its end and Rob Zombie’s HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES was released introducing audiences to an important new voice in a system on the verge of a Renaissance
Antoine Roundtree (born March 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Skee-Lo, is an American rapper. He is best known for his 1995 song, "I Wish", which became a hit in several countries and reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.[3] He is considered to have been a one-hit wonder.[4]His first single "I Wish" became a hit on radio and TV during the summer of 1995 with a number one MTV video directed by Marty Thomas that won many nominations and wins from VMA Awards worldwide. The song was well known for its lack of explicit lyrics at a time when gangsta rap was very popular.[2] His debut album of the same title was released shortly thereafter, earning him two Grammy nominations for both the album and single. Afterwards he stopped his rapping career before coming back to release a new album in 2000 and another in 2012.[5][6] He has been living in Los Angelessince 1990 and is married to his wife, Stacy, and has two children. Career[edit]Born in Chicago, Illinois, Skee-Lo was raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, then moved to Riverside, California when he was nine.[6] He graduated from high school in Moreno Valley before moving to Los Angeles in 1990 and attending El Camino College. He converted to Islam around this time and joined the Nation of Islam.[5] He first started rapping that year.[2]Skee-Lo's debut album I Wish was released in 1995, which he first started working on in 1993. The album was a huge success. One of the singles, "Top of the Stairs", was featured in the ending credits as well as the soundtrack to the 1995 film Money Train. He quietly "retired" from rapping five months after the album's release because of a dispute with label Sunshine Records. Skee-Lo claims Sunshine Records took all the credit from the album's success, and he did not make a single cent from it. This was first revealed in a 2012 interview with L.A. Weekly, and he further said "So I refused to shoot any more videos, promote or record music. I'm not their slave. I wasn't working for free." After many years he eventually won the rights against the label in court.[5]Skee-Lo recorded a cover of the Schoolhouse Rock! song "The Tale of Mr. Morton", which taught sentence structure (subject, verb and predicate). The song appears on the 1996 compilation album, Schoolhouse Rock! Rocks.[7]In 1996, Skee-Lo became a VJ for both MTV's The Beach House and The Grind. He also co-wrote "I'll Be Your Everything" by boy band Youngstown. The song is featured on the 1999 Inspector Gadget movie soundtrack. In 2000 he returned to the music scene with a second album, I Can't Stop.[8]In 2011 he wrote "Burnin' Up" as part of the soundtrack of the 2013 horror movie Killer Holiday from Lionsgate Entertainment. MTV produced a music video directed by Marty Thomas that was filmed at actor Howie Mandel's house, which was rented by his son to MTV without Mandel's knowledge.[9] It was released under his own indie label, Skeelo Musik.Skee-Lo made a guest appearance on a track called "Now You See My Life" with former Hollywood Undead rapper Deuce from Deuce's album Nine Lives in 2012.Skee-Lo released his third album, Fresh Ideas, on his own label Skeelo Musik, via iTunes on November 13, 2012.[5] It appeared in stores July 9, 2013.[ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Nanci opens up about dealing with her eating disorder throughout her teens and young adulthood, which was linked to the stress she personally dealt with of “fitting into the role you’re supposed to fit in.” In expressing her fear of disappointment, Nanci sought help and was eventually able to come to terms with herself, express her true emotions, and recognize her self-worth. Why there's not a huge focus on men's health compared to women's health in the news or TV Media in the US in comparison to other countries like Australia. How to recreate intimacy with your partner and reactivate your physical relationship. How turmeric and the Ketogenic Diet can help us be healthy and ward off disease, illness, and inflammation. Power Quotes From The Show “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” - Calvin Coolidge "As we age, our focus on life changes and we strive to stay in the game. Most of our injuries happen from silly accidents like tripping over a shoelace or losing our balance and falling. It's so important that we focus on the ability to put ourselves in a physical condition that allows us to participate in life at a certain level." - Craig Cooper "We're victims of the media telling us that our low energy, joint pain, and low libido is a natural part of aging that can be fixed with a pill or gel. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way. There's a massive amount of lifestyle changes that you can make which can get you back on track again." - Craig Cooper "Anything that activates better heart health will also activate better sexual health. For nutrition in general, the Mediterranean diet is probably the best diet for that. Too much or too little of anything can be counterproductive. Specifically, the amount of protein, fats, carbohydrates can affect sexual health and testosterone." - Craig Cooper "The two main naturopathic prescriptions for natural testosterone production are sleep and weight loss. Every single study supports men getting more sleep; at least seven hours every night. If you're ten pounds overweight, you'll get a 10% increase in testosterone once you lose the weight." - Craig Cooper Links From Today's Show: Craig Cooper Facebook Twitter Instagram LinkedIn Your New Prime Official Website Your New Prime by Craig Cooper The New Prime Blog Prostate.net Cognitive Health Institute What APOE Means For Your Health Loneliness And Social Isolation Could Be Deadlier Than Obesity 10 Foods To Boost Nitric Oxide The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. I spoke with director, William Wedig, who is starting to make a dent in the world of movies. Having done work for brands such as PBS, MTV, Sports Illustrated, People Magazine and Time Magazine, his work has been shown on broadcast and cable television, in AMC and Clearview theaters, on Times Square billboards and in festivals such as Sundance and the Toronto Film Festival. In 2012, William began his television-directing career. 145 shoot days, 550 script pages and 5,000 shots later, William completed directing 26 episodes of the half-hour action-comedy kids show, Team Toon, set for release winter 2013 on Cartoon Network. Utilizing a mixed-format presentation, the show fuses live-action with animation to allow for the adventures of four friends whose imaginations tend to blur the line between reality and cartoon. Part Scooby-Doo-style mystery, part monster madness action, Team Toon was a technically challenging show as well as a lengthy and action-packed production. Most recently, William co-directed and edited the show Exposure: Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011. Starring Brooklyn Decker, Irina Shayk, Hillary Rhoda and 14 other supermodels, the show is available on the Playstation Network and DVD. In 2011, Wedig’s feature film, Forged, was released theatrically. Forged won Best Film at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival and the Outstanding Film Award at the Providence Latin American Film Festival, and screened in the Los Angles Latino International Film. The film stars Manny Perez and Emmy award winner Margo Martindale. Variety’s Ronnie Scheib said that the film’s “powerful ending build kinetically” and that lead-actor Manny Perez is “frighteningly convincing as a man ruled by desperation.” For more, visit www.ForgedMovie.com. He also post-supervised Josh Crook's La Soga, which is opened at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival and was released in theaters in August of 2010 through 7th Floor. In the fall of 2008, he completed editing on a one hour documentary for This Old House and PBS, The Life a House Built: The 25th Anniversary of the Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter Work Project. The film details the experiences of volunteers and homeowners working to rebuild the Gulf Coast in connection with Habitat for Humanity in the summer of 2008. William began his career with his thesis film from the School of Visual Arts, entitled Rise of the Dead. The film was released through Lions Gate Entertainment in November of 2007. The film has been described as a "smart and original take on an equally old genre" (Fangoria) and William's directing as "a breath of fresh air" (C.H.U.D.). William was also post-production supervisor on Salvage, a horror-thriller, which premiered to a packed house at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. The foreign distribution deal included a theatrical release and Echo Bridge Entertainment handled domestic distribution. He graduated with a degree in film from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and lives in Brooklyn. We covered a lot of ground in this one!
