What's up, dudes?  It's one of the most depressing Christmas movies ever, and also a ripoff of “Pollyanna.” Yes, it's “Prancer!” I've got Santa Ambassador Matt Spaulding from North Pole Radio, and Jeremy Phelps the Alamo City Santa here to discuss it.   In this 1989 film, 8yro Jessica Riggs believes in Santa Claus. Her father  and older brother  seem to believe she's too old to do so, and even her best friend Carol has long since given up believing. When Jessica discovers a wounded reindeer in the woods near her home of Three Oaks, Michigan, she's convinced it's Prancer, Santa's missing reindeer. Of course, she becomes determined to take Prancer to a local ridge so Santa can come and retrieve him. Eventually, she tells a mall Santa she has the reindeer, and her belief becomes a source of  inspiration for the town.  Unfortunately, her dad, facing hard times, sells the animal. As she tries to free it, Jessica falls and injures her head. Her recovery and naïveté move her father, and he helps her return the reindeer to Santa. Loud out of tune singing? Yup. Cantankerous reclusive widow? Got it. Ambiguous magical ending? Only with golden ‘80s special effects! What's up, dudes? In 1989, Milton Bradley released a fun Christmas themed board game. I've got Little #3 with me to talk all about it! Yes, it's Santa's Special Delivery, and we played a couple of games.The goal of the game is to be the first player to distribute their inventory of gifts and return to their home space. Each player chooses four gift tokens and a sleigh pawn, which is placed on the designated home space of the corresponding color. At the beginning of their turn, a player spins the spinner which is illustrated with six colors and a cheerful portrait of Santa. Subsequently, the player moves their pawn along the path to the color indicated by the spinner.There are four types of stops along the board. Landing on a blank space ends the player's turn. If a player lands on a gift box space, he/she drops off a gift at the nearest house. A star space means that the player could give a gift token to an opponent who still had gift boxes of their own to deliver. Finally, an arrow space offers a shortcut that moves players to a gift box space where they can drop off a present to the nearest house.Once a player had delivered all their gifts, they move to the star space closest to home. From the star space, opponents race to be the first player to spin their home color to win the game.Spinner? Yep. Santa's sleigh? Got it. Hours of fun? Definitely! Okay, cool; former Republican Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan is a Democrat, and while he's (supposedly) "fielding calls" to run for office, he's not saying he has any interest in doing so.To that I say "good." You just sat in the pew; no sense aiming to be a deacon just yet. If does decide to run, however, there are quite a few questions Democratic activists and voters sour on his role in the state of affairs in Georgia now would like to ask him. I shared a few in-show today. Former Georgia Democratic Party chair Steve Anthony also sought to remind Duncan and AJC readers how Georgia became "the" southern state that rose from the southern mire when under Democratic control. ------Former Dekalb County CEO Mike Thurmond had a busy "day one" in his quest to be the Democratic Party nominee for Georgia's governor's race in 2026, which included three social media posts: the campaign video rollout, an offer of prayers to yesterday's Fort Stewart shooting victims and his end-of-day video. It's the middle one that bothers me most. Not because he offered prayers and well-wishes, obviously, but because he hasn't posted a SINGLE thing on that same professional Facebook account since June of 2023. Why is there no offer of prayers for Apalachee High School shooting victims from last September? If the answer is "he wasn't campaigning then," then that's my problem. ------AJC columnist Bill Torpy penned a piece about the curious case of a Georgia coach's son handpicked to be a Senate candidate by that state's governor. Is this about a famous daddy's prodigal son or about Brian Kemp not trying to concede that Donald Trump is his daddy? Lots to unpack.------Lastly, what IS the deal with Megyn Kelly and people of color if - as she insists - she's not a white supremacist? The "Santa is white" lady - for some reason - felt the need to compare the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle "genes/jeans" campaign to Beyonce's newer Levi's jeans 90-second motif. My two cents? I'm indifferent to the Sweeney ad but it felt kind of lazy - a riff on Brooke Sheild's iconic Calvin Klein ad from my childhood but I rather enjoyed Beyonce's episode. It's like a "short story," and ... I don't know ... was entertaining. Megyn, however? She opined that something about Beyonce's "look below" was ... "bought and paid for." You know, "artificial, fake, enhanced."First, kinda gross a woman is making accusations like that, but when it's the tighter-faced Megyn Kelly, it's even richer. Also, does Meg not know Beyonce just wrapped a global world tour where those legs and glutes put in a hell of a workout for 3-5 nights a week for many months? Ma'am; that ain't "artificial." It's hard work. Clearly Megyn Kelly doesn't recognize it.

Jason Kosec, the new Chairman of Minera Alamos (TSX.V:MAI) (OTCQX:MAIFF), joins me to unpack the key takeaways from news announced on July 7th about their acquisition of Calibre USA Holdings Ltd from Equinox Gold Corp. for total consideration of US$115 million, subject to adjustment.  Calibre USA holds a 100% economic interest in the producing Pan Gold Mine, development-stage Gold Rock Project, and exploration-stage Illipah Project in Nevada, USA.    We start off discussing how this is a truly transformational transaction for the Company, in that it brings in the producing Pan Gold Mine, doing about 35,000-40,000 ounces of gold production annually at the heap leach operations.  This mine is generating strong cash flows given the current record gold price environment, and Jason outlines how these revenues can be used to organically grow and develop the other pipeline of low-capital intensity, quick-build, high-return, gold development projects like the past-producing Copperstone Mine in Arizona,  the Cerro De Oro Project in Zacatecas, Mexico, the Gold Rock Project in Nevada, and the Fortuna Project in Mexico.   Jason also reiterates that this is not the company loosing interest or pivoting away from Mexico, but making an acquisition that brings in revenues and changes the valuation metrics while they await the permits in Mexico that the team still believes they will receive from the new administration.  This transaction immediately strengthens their production profile, beyond just the residual leaching at the Santa operations. More importantly, bringing in a larger production profile should improve their valuation multiple with a likely rerating over time that is more in alignment with junior producing peers. Operating a solid production asset in Nevada will also lower their future cost of capital for advancing their other development assets, without as much equity dilution moving forward. There is also the benefit of minimizing future risk by diversifying their assets into one of the strongest jurisdictions there is in Nevada. We also discuss how the recent financing has attracted a much stronger institutional investor base that wants to see the pathway to multiple mines in multiple jurisdictions.   We go on to discuss the exploration upside both around the Pan Mine and at the Gold Rock Project, not to mention across their whole portfolio of projects.  Now there will larger incoming revenues to truly intensify exploration efforts at multiple projects.   One can also see the pathway to future production growth and into a mid-tier producer with the Copperstone Mine slated to produce roughly 40,000 ounces of gold per year, and with both Cerro De Oro and Gold Rock each estimated to produce ~60,000 ounces of gold per year.  After those 3 mines have ramped up to commercial production, alongside of the Pan Mine, then there is also the development-stage Fortuna Mine in Mexico that will move into position as mine number 5.     If you have any follow-up questions for Jason regarding Minera Alamos, then please email them into me at  Shad@kereport.com.   In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Minera Alamos at the time of this recording.   Click here to follow the latest news from Minera Alamos

Emilie isn't really fit to take care of the kids but she doesn't want them to get put in the system, so she takes them and they get on the road. They stop in this small town of Bethlehem and go to this diner where this women is talking about how they should stay at the Pierce home and keeps talking about angels. Turns out, she's an angel! We know that because when a police officer comes in after they left, she's no where to be found.So Emilie stops at the Pierce home, finds the key, and they stay there for the night. In the morning, there's a knock at the door. It's two ladies who live across the street. They assume she's the Pierce's niece all grown up. They bring breakfast, turn on the gas and the water, and couldn't be more helpful.  Emilie decides not to push their luck and goes to leave. But her car breaks down before they can leave. The local police chief, Nathan Blair, pulls up and offers to give them a ride into town for some groceries. He ends up paying for everything.  And boy is he into her. She knows that they can only stay there for a little bit so she tries to put up walls but he's not having it. He looks into her and the angel helps make all the paper work for the house seem official. A fax comes in that shows that she's wanted for kidnapping but the police department doesn't notice it. No problem at all. Nathan shows up to put up more Christmas decorations for the kids and they end up kissing in the attic. She knows she has to leave before Christmas because her "uncle" is supposed to show up. But when she finds out that the airport is closed, she decides to stay and bring the kids to see "Santa" who is actually Nathan. It's there that everything goes to heck. First, the police administrator finds the fax. And then Alana tells Santa that she wants to see her real mom for Christmas. Nathan is real mad so he goes to a bar and talk to the angel who encourages him to forgive her.This case immediately goes to court to figure out what to do with Emilie, for lying about who she is and with the kids who she kidnapped. Nathan shows up and speaks in support of Emilie, says that they can live with him, and that he'd also like to marry her because he loves her. That's enough for the judge. They're good to go and they kiss big ones as the kids run and hug them. They go outside and it's snowing and Alana notices the statue of the angel in the town square looked a whole lot like the angel from the diner. It was a season for miracles.
