Mariska www.mamadutch.nl

Ahead of tackling the motorsports double, spotter Tyler Monn joins Davey Segal (7:00) to dive into the preparation, logistics, learning and excitement the month of May has had in store thus far. Monn explains how the idea to spot the double came about, why he feels thankful that Kyle Larson put his trust in him, how he's gone about familiarizing himself with IndyCar terminology and the series in general and why it isn't as hard as it seems to spot a car going 40-50 mph faster than he's used to. Monn also reflects on being a part of the closest finish in NASCAR history at Kansas, his recruitment to become a part of the No. 5 team at Hendrick Motorsports, growing up a Terry Labonte fan and Darlington being a full circle moment, going from the back of the field to champion in 365 days, his friendship with crew chief Cliff Daniels and why he got into spotting in the first place. He also explains how and why a motocross accident ultimately stopped his racing career behind the wheel (or in his case, handlebars), his experience at Pit Crew U, what a successful Sunday looks like at both Indianapolis and Charlotte and more. Davey also dives into the Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch scuffle at North Wilkesboro Speedway and shares his unique perspective having found himself become a part of it (A.K.A. a landing spot for KFB), touches on the $75K fine handed down to Stenhouse Jr. and previews NASCAR's longest race. Papa Segal also pays homage to another racer who has completed the double as Motorsports Christmas looms.
This week the fellas start the show recapping an exciting weekend of ARCA & modified racing. They then welcome Tyler Monn on to the show as he discusses his short track background and how that led to a role this week with Kyle Larson as he is spotting for him in the Indy 500 and Coca-cola 600. Most of us, as we encounter challenges with our loved ones, try to handle it by ourselves. But as time goes on, we often need more help—professional counseling, medical attention, interventions, spiritual guidance, and various kinds of programs.Today I'm chatting with Stefani Monn, who went through a program called House of Hope—the same one our son went through. Stefani is coming to tell us about her journey before, during and after those months.

A PLACE TO HIDE, 11min., USA, Drama Directed by Eámonn Wrightstone Charlie and his mother, Laura, are on the brink of poverty, living out of a motel room they rent monthly. His mother, in late-stage dementia, requires constant care; leaving him unable to work. Receiving no help from his absent father, Charlie resorts to sex work at night to get the money he needs to care for his mother. https://www.ejwdp.com/a-place-to-hide From the filmmaker: On a thematic level what really motivated me to make this film was just getting older. College is wrapping out for me in less than a year and this was the second to last film I would make in school. Seeing my parent's over the holidays just reminded me that they're getting older too. My dad has had cancer 3 times, he's survived every single time, but what if it comes back? All of these questions surrounding my parents, their well-being, and my future seemed to hit together. I was lost. What does adulthood mean and what do I want my life to be? There has been a lot of loss in my family and at the age of 14 becoming suffocatingly aware of your parent's mortality is not only frightening, but it's a stark reminder of your own. ‘A Place to Hide' sets out to explore how far we will go for the ones we love, the failures of our economic/healthcare systems, and coming into adulthood too soon. Playing on the Film Festival Streaming service later this month. You can sign up for the 7 day free trial at www.wildsound.ca (available on your streaming services and APPS). In Part 2 of our conversation, Alba continues the story of her experience with Aurelia.Alba Monn is an author and a mother who had a fascinating experience with the birth of one of her children, Aurelia. Alba had a near-death experience that changed her life. It was, in actuality, a shared death experience, as you will learn when you hear her story.I've broken this very special episode into three parts. In parts 1 and 2, I get out of the way and let Alba tell her story as she recalls it. It might be a bit confusing in parts because the story doesn't begin on the night her daughter was delivered in an emergency situation, it begins years earlier. In part 3, I ask Alba to go into more detail and we discuss the lessons from her absolutely amazing experience. In her experience, Alba learned:* Forgiveness is absolutely essential for our soul's well-being* Souls have no age* Humans are all flawed equally and differently,* A life can have profound meaning no matter how short the time here on Earth* Something prepares us for the tough lessons we're about to encounter, if we pay attention* Tragedy is less of a punishment and more of an opportunityHer book tells the story about healing after the loss of her child, PROOF OF ETERNITY by Alba Monn. It is intended to give hope to everyone who has lost a loved one, especially their own child. It's available at Amazon as an ebook.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/grief2growth)

Maartje Monné is a Speech Language Pathologist, Voice Therapist & Psycho-Energetic Therapist whom I've had the pleasure of working with over the last year. If you are looking for someone who you can work with to heal trauma around your voice and expression in both the physical and energetics, this episode will give you more insight into how Maartje works and the benefits of healing your voice. In this episode we speak about: How to reconnect to your creativityThe power of connecting with your inner childHow to heal breathing problems and blocks in your voiceThe relationship between trauma and finding your voice How to connect with your inner voice How to free your expressionABOUT MAARTJE: Hi, I am Maartje Monné and founder of Voice Care & Coaching. I've been fascinated by the voice since I was little: Remember Disneys ‘The Little Mermaid' & ‘The Sound of Music', that's where it all began.... :-)I am a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) since 2004 and have been specializing myself in voice disorders, vocal techniques for the speaking voice and singing voice and many voice related methods since then.I also studied Musical Theater (part-time) to develop my own singing, dancing, acting, and stage skills (one of the best moments and memories of my life!) and have had my own private voice practice in the Netherlands, which was a great success! And then, in 2009, I met the (French) love of my life. So I sold my practice and moved to the south of France in 2010 where I ‘restarted' my life almost from 0 (I even could hardly speak the language; which was very frustrating for someone who loves to talk a lot)! For various reasons, I started working in 2011 at Airbus Helicopters as a Key Logistic Manager and stayed there for almost 8 years. This work wasn't voice related AT ALL, but it was a very good experience though. Because, besides the French language, I have learned many other useful skills during those years! In January 2019, I left Airbus Helicopters and started my current private voice practice/company in France; Voice Care & Coaching. And since October 2020, I can call myself a Psycho-Energetic Therapist too.Today ‘voice work' is more to me than vocal care and improving someone's voice quality. It's also about making people aware that the voice is connected to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, which makes it also a beautiful mirror and a powerful tool to improve our overall health. In other words, my mission is to help you to improve and empower your voice, mindset and (energy) body so that you become happier, healthier and the best version of yourself!Connect with Maartje:Website: www.voicecarecoaching.comInstagram: @voice_care_coachingFacebook: Voice Care CoachingLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maartje-monn%C3%A9-649446185/We would really appreciate if you could leave a review on Apple Podcasts. To listen to more episodes of The Creative Zone Podcast, click hereContact Tali: @talibrashFollow @thecreativezonepodcastSupport the show

Do you have the business structure set up to make that happen? [49:19] David says there are three things in life that God gives us: blessings, opportunity, and free will. Join Andy and David as they travel down memory lane to discover the events and steps that led him to develop a unique sense of design in the event industry. His use of authenticity, scale, and attention to detail along with igniting the senses of smell, sound, and sight have made him an industry leader and one of the most highly sought-after event planners/designers in the world. His goal is to craft an event that shares your true story and personality, not the fantasy that you’ve created for yourself. His years in the corporate environment prepared him by giving insights into the mechanics of running a business and putting him in contact with some of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Their mentorship and his creativity are the backbones of his business. Listen in to learn how lighting design defines an event, why packing light and carrying on your luggage is so freeing, and how to leverage your relationships to create a thriving business. David shares valuable and personal insights into the creation of his business, so this conversation is not one you want to miss. Show Highlights: [02:13] - David and Andy chat about the details of how he creates events while spending time at David’s home. [05:37] - No matter the size or importance of the event, David works to engage the senses of smell, sound, and sight to imprint the event on the memory of all involved. [06:21] - Growing up in a large family, in a small town, with a sense of protection and order instilled by his father, heavily impacts his process. [11:34] - His father refused to take out loans to pay for his education at Parson’s School of Design, so David created a backup plan. [14:58] - After moving up through the ranks of a garment manufacturing company, he made his way to the New York office of the company as an executive assistant. [21:08] - David helped a friend decorate her apartment and this led to his next client and his next for interior design, while still working in merchandising. [24:09] - What did he learn from his mentors Oscar De La Renta and Bill Glass? [28:32] - “Light in a space is everything and is why it feels the way it feels.” [38:32] - How does light design work with outdoor events and the change in natural light? [40:32] - David comments on a quote by Thomas Edison about the renewing feeling of being in and working in a garden and the role nature plays in his events. [43:21] - When everything is in sync there is something magical about the event. [47:24] - David shares his process for creating each type of event he brings to life through authenticity, scale, and detail. [57:48] - David has curated several huge events and shares some fascinating stories. [1:03:50] - The artistic side of the business is probably 20%, the other 80% is running the business, which David learned in his corporate positions. [1:11:19] - How does David structure his pricing for such individualized events? [1:14:18] - Learn David’s best tips and advice as well as what he would include in a masterclass. Dominic Monn (@dqmonn) created a marketplace for mentors where none existed, and quickly grew it into a positive revenue stream. What's more, he did it while enduring a 3-hour commute and working a demanding internship. In this episode, we discuss how Dominic leaned heavily on cold outreach to populate his marketplace, the joy of reaching out to (and hearing back from!) satisfied users, and the importance of planning when most of your day is already booked with a full-time job.Transcript, speaker information, and more: https://www.indiehackers.com/podcast/129-quick-chat-with-dominic-monn
Andy is speaking with Sean Low on this episode of The Next Level. Sean is the Founder and of The Business of Being Creative LLC, which focuses on providing practical advice to those in the business of being creative. His client list includes the elite of the wedding industry and the design community. David Monn is known for producing events like The Met’s Costume Institute Gala, and the iconic 100th Anniversary of the Park Plaza Hotel in NYC, to name just a couple. His clients include many social leaders from around the world. David is also a contributing editor to Departures Magazine and has been featured in numerous luxury and lifestyle publications. This is a conversation that imparts much wisdom including his perspective on legacy, teaching your team to carry on without you, but maintaining the quality that your name invokes. Sean agrees with David’s concept of having a business structure in place that will withstand his absence and hopefully be there for many years after he is gone. Know that your business is bigger than you are and have your exit strategy in place long before you need it. Listen and take heed to what they have to say. You can’t get this knowledge just from books but rather from people who are living it. Show Highlights: [00:43] Welcome back to the show, Sean! [03:27] Andy and Sean discuss David’s view on who attends not-for-profit events and why. You need to put the focus on the event itself, not the cause. [05:53] Never let an honoree speak at an event; they are not performers. [07:51] Will your business carry on without you? What business structure do you have in place to build and carry on your legacy? [10:15] Sean speaks about legacy in the event industry and how it can strengthen the industry. [14:15] Business owners need the humility to know that your business is more significant than you, have your exit strategy set up so that your company will flourish. [16:07] Being dispensable in your business allows you to make time for yourself. Train people along the way whom you trust to take over if and when you are not there. [38:57] David explains that clients have a hard time telling you what their spend threshold is. [43:58] How do you set up your company to go on without you? Do you have the business structure set up to make that happen? [49:19] David says there are three things in life that God gives us: blessings, opportunity, and free will. [50:22] The event industry is not something you get into because you need a job; it must be your passion. [51:14] David's final thoughts on events, how many people an event gives work to, and how many mouths they feed. As part of Radio 3's month long celebration of Symphony, the Early Music Show traces the early history. Catherine Bott reflects on the trail-blazing work of the pioneering symphonists of the 18th century such as Sammartini, the Stamitz family, Holzbauer, JC Bach, Monn and Wagenseil. The 18th century saw a creative explosion in the development of instrumental music and in particular, one of the great innovations of the century was the orchestral symphony. Many of its origins can be traced to Italy but it quickly became a pan European phenomenon with every major cultural centre boasting its own symphonist or "school" of symphony composers, each of which was bursting with its own creative reponses to this new and exciting kind of music. As part of the BBC "Symphony" season, Catherine Bott reflects on some of the major pioneering figures in the development of the symphony, casting her net across many of Europe's major cities - from Milan to Mannheim, Hamburg and Dresden, Paris, Berlin, London and Vienna. The programme considers some of the novel innovations that were introduced into the symphony as the century progressed and by dwelling on some of the music of lesser known composers it provides a context for the musical world that we've come to associate with Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. Many of the symphonists featured in this programme can also be heard in complete performances across the following week on Radio 3's Afternoon on 3.
