In this episode I talk with Elsa Sinclair of Taming Wild. I invite her to discuss her opinion on pressure, escalating pressure, and freedom. She offered a unique and nuanced opinion about pressure and how it fits into her Freedom-Based training techniques. About the Guest: For ELSA SINCLAIR, horse training has been a lifelong pursuit, but her career took a turn when one day a student asked her if horses really enjoyed being ridden, and more importantly, if they knew they had a choice in the matter. Without an answer for her student, Sinclair set off on a quest to find one: If horses were given a choice, would they let us ride them—without force, control, or treats to lure them? With a Mustang mare straight off the range and a desire to connect using none of the usual horse training “tools,” just body language, Sinclair began to explore the possibilities. Her project led to a documentary called Taming Wild and ultimately to the method of horsemanship she now teaches: Freedom Based Training® (tamingwild.com). About the Host:Karen Rohlf, author and creator of Dressage Naturally, is an internationally recognized clinician who is changing the equestrian educational paradigm. She teaches students of all disciplines and levels from around the world in her clinics and the Dressage Naturally virtual programs. Karen is well known for training horses with a priority on partnership, a student-empowering approach to teaching, and a positive and balanced point of view. She believes in getting to the heart of our mental, emotional, and physical partnership with our horses by bringing together the best of the worlds of dressage and partnership-based training. Karen's passion for teaching extends beyond horse training. Her For The Love Of The Horse: Transform Your Business program is a result of her commitment to helping heart-centered equine professionals thrive so that horses may have a happier life in this industry. The Never-Ending Story of our Bound Will & Election. In this episode, we write an epilogue —so to speak— to our series on the Bondage of the Will and wrap up our thoughts about the Here We Still Stand Conference 2025. We ask, “From whence comes a preacher?” Where does one go for gospel-comfort and the gifts of salvation? What is the Gospel? What is the purpose of the Church? What are the practical consequences of having a will that is bound up to sin, the world, and the evil one? What happens when the churches reject the “hinge” upon which all doctrines turn? And we talk about fantasy and science-fiction writing, 80s children's movies, and other pop culture nostalgia. SHOW NOTES: The Captivation of the Will: Luther Vs. In this inspiring episode of Not Today Cancer, host Jen Delvaux sits down with Ira Green, founder of Freedom Natural Deodorant and breast-cancer survivor. Long before her own diagnosis, Ira created her toxin-free deodorant brand after seeing several close friends battle breast cancer — determined to offer safer personal-care options for women. Years later, Ira faced the very disease that first inspired her mission. She opens up about what it was like to suddenly become the patient, how her perspective on healing evolved, and why she's more committed than ever to helping women live free from toxins and fear. Together, Jen and Ira dive into: How Ira's friends' diagnoses inspired the creation of Freedom Natural Deodorant What she learned when her own diagnosis arrived years later How emotional healing and community support shape recovery Practical lifestyle changes that empower women during and after treatment The importance of self-advocacy and listening to your body Simple swaps that lower toxic exposure in daily life Why joy, purpose, and stress management are vital parts of healing This conversation is a powerful reminder that prevention and awareness start long before diagnosis — and that healing can evolve into a mission that changes lives. Listen now to hear Ira's full story — from founding a clean-beauty brand to navigating her own diagnosis with grace, strength, and freedom. Presidential power has expanded far beyond what the framers of the Constitution envisioned. From Lincoln and Roosevelt to Nixon and Trump, presidents have pushed the limits of executive authority — often during moments of crisis. "Your body is not fighting against you, it's fighting for you."In this episode, Kayla shares an enlightening conversation with Alexis Florentina, a trauma-trained somatic practitioner, to explore the intricate relationship between trauma, the body, and transformation. They discuss the importance of understanding pain as a messenger, the shift from a fixing mindset to being present in the body, and the role of curiosity in self-attunement. They also discuss attachment styles and their impact on nervous system regulation, emphasizing the need for compassion and reparenting in the healing process. Ultimately, they highlight that healing is not just about doing but about creating safety and space for the body to heal itself.TakeawaysThe body is a messenger, not an enemy.Curiosity about our body is essential for healing.Self-attunement helps in recognizing bodily signals.Attachment styles influence our nervous system responses.Compassion is crucial in the healing journey.Healing is a process of slowing down and listening.Capacity for change is always fluctuating. We can find glimmers of hope even in tough times.'You make sense' is a powerful affirmation for healing.Keywordstrauma, somatic healing, nervous system, attachment styles, self-attunement, emotional pain, body awareness, healing journey, transformation, mindfulnessLearn more about Alexis and her offers hereFollow her amazing content here----If you're loving these episodes, please subscribe and leave a review!Let's Connect:@kaylafite@habitsyoulovewww.kaylafite.com*Kayla is not a mental health professional. Romans 8:15 — While the spirit of bondage and fear is a work of the Holy Spirit, it has a specific and limited role in the life of the Christian. It is to awaken the person to their desperate condition. However, as Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones argues in this sermon on Romans 8:15 titled “Freedom from Fear,” the spirit of bondage and fear cannot coexist with the spirit of adoption. The former is always replaced by the latter. But how can Dr. Lloyd-Jones claim this when the New Testament has much to say about fear in the Christian life? Are there not numerous examples where Christians experience what could be called a spirit of bondage and fear? Are these examples that prove the spirit of adoption does not replace the spirit of fear? Dr. Lloyd-Jones walks through objections to his understanding of the apostle Paul, detailing how his understanding of Romans 8:15 is compatible with the rest of Scripture. In so doing, he engages a number of pastorally pressing concerns such as depression in the Christian life, demonic aggression against believers, and the Scriptures in counseling. Listen as Dr. Lloyd-Jones hits on a wide-range of topics in this fascinating teaching on Romans 8:15.

To become a sustaining member go to LauraFlanders.org/donateDescription: People are taking to the streets and calling out fascism in bold, unique ways, but we're not all there yet. If you need some encouragement, watch "The People, United" — a gripping short film about everyday Americans standing up to ICE and winning through nonviolent resistance. Created by Ellen Gavin and presented in collaboration with the Dolores Huerta Foundation and People for the American Way, the video is a powerful example of storytelling as an organizing tool. In this episode, lifelong activists and old friends Ellen Gavin and Dolores Huerta join Laura Flanders to explore how narratives help break through our silos and fears under this second Trump administration. Gavin's works as a writer, director and producer have brought millions of views to social justice storytelling; she is also founder of Gavin Creative Collab and founding artistic director of Brava! for Women in the Arts. Huerta is co-founder of the United Farm Workers with César Chávez and founder and president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation. Still organizing at 95 years old, she is recognized as one of the most influential labor organizers of the twentieth century and coined the iconic rallying cry “Si Se Puede.” She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012. Find out how narratives shatter fear and build movements, plus a commentary from Laura.“. . . We want people to be on our team. We want people to be touched in a way that says, ‘I want to be that neighbor. I want to be that helper. I want to be that person who sees something and does something instead of reacts with fear.' When they say that fear is contagious, and then they say, courage is contagious.” - Ellen Gavin“. . . In the farm, we didn't respond with violence . . . César [Chávez] fasted for 25 days and then 36 days . . . The other side, they want us to respond with violence, and we can respond with non-violence because they would like to have martial law for the whole country. So we've really got to have a lot of discipline now.” - Dolores HuertaGuests:• Ellen Gavin: Writer, Director, Producer: The People, United; Founder, Gavin Creative Collab• Dolores Huerta: Co-founder of the United Farm Workers; Founder & President, The Dolores Huerta Foundation Watch the special report on YouTube; PBS World Channel Sundays 11:30am ET, and on over 300 public stations across the country (check your listings, or search here via zipcode). On today’s show, Josh reflects on the roots of America and the vital role the Hebrew Bible played in shaping our nation. He highlights the Bible’s influence on Western civilization and its foundational connection to the concept of individual rights. Josh explores what both the Founders and Scripture teach us about personal freedom, responsibility, and respect for others. He also takes aim at socialism, arguing that its vision is misguided when viewed through the lens of biblical teaching, and explains why caring for one another is a duty of society—not the government.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What's it really like to build a full international Plan-B while still living in your home country, especially when you've got a family to think about? One client of mine, Ryan, has done exactly that. While married with four kids, he's methodically built offshore investments, is in the process of securing second residencies, and has positioned his family for long-term freedom and security… all before making the move abroad. His story proves that protecting your future doesn't require running; it requires planning. In today's episode, my colleague Marc Clair sits down with Ryan to discuss how he and his wife are creating a life of global freedom for their family, from diversifying into international real estate and pursuing residencies in Latin America to choosing jurisdictions that protect their children's education and values. It's an honest look at the practical steps you can take to protect your family's future, even before you're ready to give up life in your home country. IN TODAY'S EPISODE: Tune in to hear Ryan describe the moment he and his wife realized their interest in other countries had shifted from “adventure” to a necessity to protect their family's freedom and future.Listen in as Ryan breaks down how they built their family's offshore Plan-B while still living in the U.S.Learn how Ryan's family incorporated learning Spanish together as part of their transition plan to a life in Latin America.Find out why Ryan and his wife ultimately chose to build their Plan-B around Latin America instead of Europe. Jesus died…and came back from the grave. The post Barabbas appeared first on Key Life.
“Jesus shed his blood so that you can be saved, healed, and delivered.” In this episode, Pastor Matt Scott from The Gathering Place Church shares a powerful message called The Law of Inheritance. He reminds us that the blood of Jesus didn't just cover our sins—it purchased complete freedom for our minds, bodies, and families. Yet many believers never apply that truth to the areas where they still struggle. This message confronts the tendency to treat spiritual problems as emotional or physical ones. You can't counsel a demon and you can't medicate one. The battle is spiritual, and the victory has already been won through the blood of Jesus. Pastor Matt exposes how the enemy tries to hijack what God designed to bless generations, and he calls every believer to take responsibility for their inheritance. You'll be challenged to go beyond listening and take action—to recognize what's been passed down, repent and renounce it, remove the enemy's hold, and renew your life through obedience and truth. Freedom doesn't come from managing behavior; it comes from applying the blood of Jesus to the root of the problem. Don't just hear this message—respond to it. Let the Holy Spirit reveal what needs to be broken, and take your stand for the generations that come after you. Jesus already paid the price; it's time to walk in the freedom He bought for you. Today, our interdenominational Christian ministry serves the poor in primarily 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Thanks to our faithful donors, we are able to provide food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are proud to have fed millions of people and provided more than 15.7 billion dollars in aid. Our faith inspires us to be an organization built on compassion, and motivated by love. Our mission is to bring relief to the poorest of the poor in the countries where we serve. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love. It's a sacrificial love that embraces all people regardless of race or religion. We believe that we can show His love by serving the “least of these” on this earth as Christ challenged us to do in Matthew 25. We pray that by God's grace, and with your support, we can continue to bring relief to the suffering and hope to the hopeless.
