The title of the Talk is controversial. But it's not just the title—this entire message is controversial. It will shake you to your core. Welcome to the last Talk of our series, MORE THAN ENOUGH. Our one big message for today is connected to our series title: Pray for more than enough. In today's talk, we read the Bible verse where we got the phrase, more than enough. You'll be surprised where we got it from and what it actually means.

Welcome to our brand new series, More Than Enough. For four weeks, we'll talk about money. Because whether we like it or not, money is a part of our lives. After all, we all have needs. And wants. In Talk 1, we'll try to capture God's Vision For Money. Yes, God sees money in a unique way. In this series (that I pray will turn your life upside down), we'll try to understand God's perspective of money and ask, “Do I see money as God sees it or as the world sees it?” When I relate with money, am I using God's eyeglasses? Or am I using the world's eyeglasses? This may be a downer, but the goal of this series is not to teach you specific tools of how to grow your income, or how to build a side hustle, or how to multiply your wealth. (You can learn all that by reading our books at feastbooks.ph or attending my TrulyRichClub seminars.) Instead, the goal of the series is to realign your money perspective with God's vision for money. Boring? You're mistaken. Because if that realignment happens, miracles will happen in your life. Taking on God's vision for money will transform your relationship with money—and your life. The key message of Talk 1 is Put your money under God's Rule.

God owns everything. We don't own any of what we have. Everything is Grace! At best, we are just managers of what God has entrusted to us. We're God's Property Managers. The Bible has a term for it: God's stewards. Here's the definition. “A Steward is someone entrusted with another person's wealth and charged with the responsibility of managing it in the owner's best interest – not theirs.” As the Psalmist says: “You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority” (Psalm 8:6 NLT) God calls us to be stewards of all of Creation. You're not just an employee. You're now God's Manager. The key message of Talk 3: You've been promoted.

And after 23 years of building custom Hawaii vacations with a team of only local travel advisors, I'm tired of hearing the same speeches about "transforming tourism." At the recent Travel Weekly Hawaii Leadership Forum (which I've never been invited to, even though I've appeared in their magazine for 20 years), Aaron Sala, CEO of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, made headlines by declaring, "Tourism as we have known it is over." While I applaud the sentiment and the passion behind his words, I couldn't help but feel that we've been here before. I've heard similar statements from every new face in Hawaii tourism leadership. Yet time and again, the execution falls flat. The Real Hawaii Tourism Problem The Disconnect Between Words and Action - The core issue isn't the messaging—it's the follow-through. We're still allowing mainland companies to dominate how Hawaii is sold to the world. They control the packages, the distribution, the experience—and they do it without authentic local input. Most travelers are still funneled into mass-produced experiences: big bus tours, tourist traps, travel scams, and surface-level entertainment. Meanwhile, the local voice—the one that truly understands Hawai'i's land, culture, and values—is pushed to the margins. What Makes Us Different - At Hawaii Aloha Travel, we do what no mainland company is doing: We require that every vacation we book is created by someone who either was born here or has lived here for a meaningful part of their life. This would ensure that anyone creating, selling, or designing Hawaii vacation packages includes a certified local expert in the process.Under this program, certified advisors would be required at a minimum: Be Hawaii-born or long-term residents- Update Seller of Travel Regulations- Make it a requirement that any Hawaii-bound vacation package include a state-registered travel advisor -Licensed and regulated by the DCCA (Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs) - Complete cultural competency and stewardship training This is how we move from buzzwords to benchmarks, from performative allyship to genuine local partnership.Let's Stop Polishing the Rust and Rebuild the EngineIf we want regenerative tourism in Hawai‘i, we can't just keep tweaking the same broken model. We need a reset—and that reset must start with locals leading the experience. #japanuary 2019 #3 - Creepy & Journey To The Shore - Es ist nicht zu glauben - mit dem zweiten Karst in diesem Januar übertreffen wir uns in Bezug auf Produktivität selbst (fast, als würden wir in Geisterform noch mal einen neuen Sinn in der Zwischenwelt suchen) und machen somit endlich unseren Frieden mit dem #japanuary 2019 (statt mit den Verfehlungen in unserem Leben). Klingt fast, als würde man uns unter Drogen fernsteuern - so hart liefern tut der Enough Talk! doch sonst nicht... Deswegen wird hier jetzt nicht lang rum geschnackt, sondern nur kurz angesagt, dass es um Creepy und Journey to the Shore von Kiyoshi Kurosawa geht, zu denen wir einiges zu sagen haben. Viel Spaß - wenn man das so wünschen kann.

#japanuary 2019 #2 - Onibaba & Harakiri - Wir bei Enough Talk! stehen für Konsistenz und Zuverlässigkeit. Wisst ihr. Und so war klar, dass es nur eine Frage der Zeit ist, bis der Episode #045.1 zum #japanuary 2019 eine weitere folgt, um den Themenmonat fortzuführen. Ist doch klar, sonst wäre es ja nur Episode #045 gewesen... Und was könnte besser taugen, als der #japanuary 2021, um dieses Unterfangen zu realisieren. Getreu der ursprünglichen Planung (wie diese Letterboxd-Liste beweist), haben wir uns die zwei über-Klassiker Onibaba von 1964 und Harakiri (der eigentlich Seppuku heißen müsste) von 1962 vorgenommen, um in die Tiefen des feudalen Japans verschiedener Jahrhunderte und Epochen abzusteigen. Ohne zu viel zu verraten ein kleiner Teaser: Diese Zeitreise hat sich gelohnt! Warum, könnt ihr in einem gemütlichen, aber ungewohnt organisierten Enough Talk! erfahren.

Nobody can stop it." - Alle paar Jahre finden wir in den tiefen des Weltraums ein schleimiges Ei, aus dem die Besprechung eines Films aus unserer liebsten Science-Fiction-Reihen schlüpft. 2014, in den frühen Enough Talk! Tagen, ging es mit Ridley Scotts düsterem All-Time-Classic ALIEN los, 2017 folgte James Camerons Knarren-Kracher ALIENS und nun, in 2020, haben wir uns zusammen gefunden, um David Finchers Debut ALIEN3 (hier habe ich die hochgestellte 3 auf der Mac-Tastatur gesucht, aber nicht gefunden → ¡“¶¢[]|{}≠¿±•πø⁄¨Ω†®€∑«å‚∂ƒ©ªº∆@œæ‘–…∞µ~∫√ç≈¥≤¶¢[]12) zu besprechen. Ein Clusterfuck von Dreh, viel frühes Stilbewusstsein des Regisseurs und eine Special Edition (aka Assembly Cut), die einen vom Studio zerfickten Flickenteppich zu reparieren versucht. Genug Stoff für einen neuen Karst, in dem wir, nachdem Rene mit seinem Ochsenhaften Leib und Faby mit seiner Windhund-gleichen Geschwindigkeit geprahlt haben, sogar mal relativ schnell zum Thema kommen.
