That's a big transition, and some people don't handle it very well — they really kind of fall apart.” “Success is living out the life that you have been handed. Your identity was predestined in some ways … but when I see someone living out their calling in life, regardless of how wealthy they are, that's what success is.” “To be successful at anything, you have to live consistently and with repetition to do whatever it is that you want to do well.” “I can't control an outcome. I'm not that powerful, I'm not that good. But I can always put myself in the position to succeed.” BOOKS MENTIONED: 48 Days to the Work You Love: Preparing for the New Normal by Dan Miller (https://a.co/d/34MIxq6) The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success and Happiness by Jeff Olson, John David Mann (https://a.co/d/27XN0BW) ASSESSMENT TOOL: Jordan Peterson Big 5 Personality Test USEFUL RESOURCES: https://www.garychupik.com/ https://www.elitemindsetnation.com/  https://www.linkedin.com/in/gary-chupik-22aba6161/ https://www.instagram.com/elitemindset/ https://www.facebook.com/gary.chupik https://x.com/chupik_gary CONNECT WITH JOHN Website - https://iamjohnhulen.com    LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnhulen Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/johnhulen    Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/johnhulen    X - https://x.com/johnhulen    YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLX_NchE8lisC4NL2GciIWA    EPISODE CREDITS Intro and Outro music provided by Jeff Scheetz - https://jeffscheetz.com/

In this podcast episode, host Michelle Frechette interviews Remco Nieuwenhuis, a WordPress professional from the Netherlands and founder of WPSupporters and WPoptic. Remco shares his journey from military and police service to tech entrepreneurship, discusses the creation of WP Optic—a fast, accurate browser extension for detecting WordPress themes and plugins—and demonstrates its features live. The conversation covers challenges, future plans, and community involvement, ending with the host encouraging listeners to try WP Optic and announcing a brief podcast break for WordCamp US.Top Takeaways:WPoptic is a fast, WordPress-focused browser extension: Remco Nieuwenhuizen developed WPoptic to quickly detect if a site is built with WordPress, along with its themes and plugins. Unlike broader tools like BuiltWith or Wappalyzer, WPoptic focuses specifically on WordPress and boasts near-instant detection speeds, currently identifying around 17,000 plugins with plans to expand to over 50,000.Development involved overcoming early challenges: The first version of WPoptic was built by an overseas developer but lacked scalability, security, and depth in plugin detection. After receiving feedback from a competitor-turned-collaborator, Remco decided to rebuild the tool from scratch, prioritizing speed, security, and accuracy. This pivot confirmed market demand and improved the product's professional quality.Growth and monetization plans center on data and community: WPoptic has around 800 Chrome users and aims to monetize through features like an export function, AI-assisted plugin detection, and potentially dashboards for plugin developers to track installations and competition. Remco emphasizes organic growth, user feedback, and avoiding heavy reliance on advertising, preferring to fund development through his other business, WPSupporters.Mentioned In The Show:WPopticWaveBuilt WithWPSupportersWappalyzerWPfounders article about Remco NieuwenhuizenElementorWPBakeryDivi

Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Blueprint Podcast.   In this Hall of Fame episode, we sit down with one of our Property Entrepreneur Masterminders, Steve Hammond, Director of New Home Company, to explore his transformative journey over the past three years within the Property Entrepreneur community. From a business owner caught in the weeds to a strategic leader with a high-performing team, Steve shares how PE gave him the blueprint to “get out of the way” and let his business thrive.   Thanks to Property Entrepreneur, Steve gained clarity around building a world-class team, implementing national-level systems and processes, and learning to measure what truly matters. With the support of the community and framework, he has appointed a new Project Manager and Finance Manager, developed a full operations manual and SOPs, and introduced a Director's Dashboard that drives better planning and accountability through clear targets and KPIs.   Steve's mindset has shifted dramatically. He no longer sees himself as the hero who must do it all. Instead, he has embraced being a leader - one who delegates effectively, empowers the right people in the right seats, and communicates with confidence. These internal shifts have helped him overcome perfectionism, restructure his operations, and create a business that is designed for growth, sustainability, and freedom.   Throughout his journey, Steve and his company have been recognised both within PE and beyond. New Home Company was nominated for Networking Event of the Year, won Development of the Year, and Steve himself was voted Whitebox Mentee of the Year by fellow mentees—reflecting the high regard in which he's held by peers and partners alike.   Beyond business, Steve has made a significant impact in the charity space. As a top fundraiser for Get Up and Give Back, he personally raised over £20,000, while inspiring his network to raise tens of thousands more. His approach to fundraising mirrored his approach to business: focus on team spirit, gamify the process, and raise the standard. These efforts not only supported meaningful causes but also showcased the power of leadership, culture, and purpose.   Steve's advice to entrepreneurs is simple: if you're still stuck in the day-to-day, it's time to build a world-class team, implement scalable systems, and measure what matters. And most importantly—get out of your own way.   Success and failure are both very predictable.   I hope you enjoy.   This isn't a theory. It's a proven Blueprint.

There's a tapping practice shown to ease stress, balance emotions, and support healing. We explore the science behind Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT.Summary: Emerging research shows that a body-tapping technique called Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, can help calm the nervous system, improve emotional awareness, and support healing from trauma. In this episode of The Science of Happiness, we follow illustrator Minnie Phan's journey of using this evidence-based practice to connect with herself, care for her mental health, and create from a place of resilience. How To Do This Practice:  Identify the issue: Choose one specific feeling, thought, or physical sensation that's bothering you, such as stress, sadness, or tension in your body. Rate the intensity: On a scale of 0 to 10 (with 10 being the most intense), rate how strongly you feel it right now. This will help you notice changes as you tap. Create your setup statement: Say a phrase that names your feeling and affirms self-acceptance, such as: "Even though I feel anxious, I fully and completely accept myself." Gently tap 5–7 times on each point: Side of hand, inner eyebrow above your nose, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, and top of head. Repeat while tapping: As you tap each point, repeat a shortened reminder phrase (e.g., “I feel anxious” or “I accept myself”) while taking slow, steady breaths. Reassess and repeat if needed: Pause, take a breath, and rate your intensity again. Continue another round or two until you notice a shift toward more calm or ease. Many of us come to meditation with subtle expectations—hoping for stillness, clarity, or a familiar sense of calm. When our experience doesn't match those hopes, we often assume something is missing or that we're doing it wrong. In this episode, Craig offers a meditative exploration of what it means to meet the moment as it is. Rather than trying to fix or improve our experience, he invites us to try on a simple but radical stance: to relate to the moment as already whole and complete.Through guided practice, you're invited to investigate what unfolds when you stop resisting your present-moment experience and begin to rest in the possibility that nothing needs to change. To access the full transcript of this episode and discover more resources, visit the episode page on MeditationChangesEverything.com. Sage reveals the profound shift that changed everything: realizing that fulfillment isn't a destination you arrive at, it's the breath you're taking right now. But it's her insights on motherhood that will completely reframe how you think about love, service, and the delicate balance between nurturing and enabling. She breaks down the uncomfortable truth about how we accidentally create the very behaviors we despise in others, and why saying "no" to the people we love most might be the greatest gift we can give them. This isn't just another conversation about mindfulness or parenting - it's a master class in understanding human nature from someone who's witnessed thousands of transformations alongside her husband Tony Robbins. Sage's wisdom about recognizing ourselves as "puzzle pieces" in each other's existence will shift how you show up in every relationship, whether you're a parent, partner, or simply someone trying to love better. Her perspective on generational evolution and the innocent arrogance we all carry will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about growth and self-awareness.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter

Miroslav Volf critiques Nietzsche's vision of power, love, and suffering—and offers Jesus's unconditional love as a more excellent way.The idea that competitive and goalless striving to increase one's power is the final Good, does very important work in Nietzsche's philosophy. For Nietzsche, striving is good. Happiness does not rest in feeling that one's power is growing. In the modern world, individuals are, as Nietzsche puts it, ‘crossed everywhere with infinity.' …And therefore condemn to ceaseless striving … The will to power aims at surpassing the level reached at any given time. And that goal can never be reached. You're always equally behind.Striving for superiority so as to enhance power does not just elevate some, the stronger ones. If the difference in power between parties increases, the weak become weaker in socially significant sense, even if their power has objectively increased. Successful striving for superiority inferiorizes.”In this third installment of his Gifford Lectures, Miroslav Volf offers a trenchant critique of Friedrich Nietzsche's moral philosophy—especially his exaltation of the will to power, his affirmation of eternal suffering, and his agonistic conception of love. Nietzsche, Volf argues, fails to cultivate a love that can endure possession, withstand unworthiness, or affirm the sheer existence of the other. Instead, Nietzsche's love quickly dissolves into contempt. Drawing from Christian theology, and particularly Jesus's teaching that God causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good alike, Volf explores a different kind of love—agapic, unconditional, and presuppositionless. He offers a vision of divine love that is not driven by need or achievement but that affirms existence itself, regardless of success, strength, or status. In the face of suffering, Nietzsche's amor fati falters—but Jesus's embrace endures.Episode Highlights"The sun, in fact, has no need to bestow its gift of light and warmth. It gains nothing from imparting its gifts.""Love that is neither motivated by need nor based on worthiness—that is the kind of love Nietzsche thought prevented Jesus from loving humanity and earth.""Nietzsche aspires to transfiguration of all things through value-bestowing life, but he cannot overcome nausea over humans.""God's love for creatures is unconditional. It is agapic love for the states in which they find themselves.""Love can only flicker. It moves from place to place because it can live only between places. If it took an abode, it would die."Show NotesMiroslav Volf's engagement with Nietzsche's workFriedrich Nietzsche's critique of Christianity as life-denying and his vision of the will to powerSchopenhauer's hedonism vs. Nietzsche's anti-hedonism: “What is good? Everything that heightens the feeling of power.”The will to power as Nietzsche's supreme value and “hyper-good”“The will to power is not a philosophy of life—it's a philosophy of vitality.”Nietzsche's agonism: the noble contest for superiority among equally powerful opponents“Every GOAT is a GOAT only for a time.”Amor fati: Nietzsche's love of fate and affirmation of all existenceNietzsche's ideal of desire without satisfaction: “desiring to desire”Dangers of epithumic (need-based, consuming) love“Love cannot abide. Its shelf life is shorter than a two-year-old's toy... If it took an abode, it would die.”Nietzsche's nausea at the weakness and smallness of humanity: “Nausea, nausea... alas, man recurs eternally.”Zarathustra's conditional love: based on worthiness, wisdom, and power“Joy in tearing down has fully supplanted love's delight in what is.”Nietzsche's failure to love the unworthy: “His love fails to encompass the great majority of actually living human beings.”Volf's theological critique of striving, superiority, and contempt“Nietzsche affirms vitality at the expense of concrete human beings.”The biblical God's love: “He makes his sun rise on the evil and the good.”“Even the poorest fisherman rows with golden oars.”Jesus's unconditional love versus Nietzsche's agonistic, conditional loveKierkegaard and Luther on the distinction between person and workHannah Arendt's political anthropology and enduring love in the face of unworthinessVolf's proposal for a theology of loving the present world in its broken form“We can actually long also for what we have.”“Love that cannot take an abode will die.”A vision of divine, presuppositionless love that neither requires need nor merit

I grew up in Coventry with discipline, community, and respect. Today we've got more stuff than ever… but are we really better off? This is me in the Seventies — eleven years old, outside my local church with my cub and scout group. My dad was a copper, my mum was a dinner lady. We didn't have much, but we had order, rules, and a real sense of belonging. That church is gone now, demolished. My mum died just months after this photo was taken. And looking at it today, I can't help but ask — were we happier back then? We've traded community for convenience, respect for self-interest. In this video, I'm talking straight about what's changed, what we've lost, and why we're paying the price. This isn't nostalgia for nostalgia's sake — it's a wake-up call. #Seventies #1970s #JonGaunt #WereWeHappier #Community #Discipline #ChildhoodMemories #Coventry #Scouts #Cubs #BritishLife #SocialChange #Happiness #RoseTintedGlasses #UKHistory #OldPhotos #Society Seventies, 1970s, Jon Gaunt, Were We Happier, Community, Discipline, Childhood Memories, Coventry, Scouts, Cubs, British Life, Social Change, Happiness, Rose Tinted Glasses, UK History, Old Photos, Society This video is a politics blog and social commentary by award winning talk radio star, Jon Gaunt
