There is no concrete update yet, but of course he is now free to negotiate with other clubs, so the situation is quite open. Paris Saint-Germain are still waiting for Mbappe's communication, and they're still hoping for him to sign a new contract, but at the moment it is not guaranteed at all. We know Real Madrid are also working on this behind the scenes, this is no secret and has been the case for a long time.

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit thedailybriefing.ioAn update on Victor Osimhen's futureWe know Victor Osimhen is close to signing a new contract until 2026, but I don't think it rules out a summer exit. This new deal is probably just to protect Napoli and give them the opportunity to have more control over the negotiation. The release clause will be there, around €130-140m, and it remains the case that I don't see him moving in January. So, overall, the aim of this new contract is to keep Osimhen at Napoli until the end of the season, and then in the summer they will let him go on Napoli's terms. It could be difficult for Chelsea - we know their project, we know their ideas, they always want to sign young players who fit their ideas, and it's not easy to find that in the January transfer window.Internal discussions are ongoing with the board and with Mauricio Pochettino, but from what I'm hearing, there is still no decision made or any advanced negotiation with Osimhen or any other player. Osimhen has always been on their list, but in January it looks impossible, and other options also don't look easy, so let's see how their internal discussions go before they decide on a player.Arsenal aware of Ivan Toney's desire to joinIvan Toney is another player linked with Chelsea, but also with Arsenal. It's not an easy deal because Brentford want important money or else they are more than happy to keep the player until the end of the season. I reported yesterday that Toney would be interested in joining Arsenal. Of course Arsenal are aware of Ivan Toney's stance. It's not about him telling Arsenal that he wants to join them, but of course they know the player would like to join.

What's up everyone, today we have the pleasure of chatting with Mike Rizzo, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who's done as much for the marketing Ops community. He got his start in marketing at California-based tech startups and eventually worked in b2b SaaS where he got his hands dirty in several martech tools In 2017, he founded MO Pros, a Slack channel dedicated to connecting with Marketing Operations Professionals Mike also took a short turn in the agency world where he was Director of Marketing Strategy for Client Accounts at Human, Orange County's full-service Inbound Marketing Agency  He then returned in-house and boomeranged back to one of his earliest startups to lead Community and Loyalty programs He's also the co-host of Ops Cast by MO Pros, a podcast for Marketing Ops Pros by Marketing Ops Pros Last year, Mike double down on the community he started and launched MarketingOps.com taking a community-led approach to building career resources that are purpose-built for MO Pros Today, his community counts more than 4,000 martech professionals and is one of the few communities I frequent on a daily basis Mike, excited to have you on, not sure why it's taken this long to chat with you.MO ProsRecently you shared that you don't take any payroll from MarketingOps(.)com despite all the costs and time you pour into this venture. I was kind of shocked by this honestly. This isn't just a podcast that you're spending a few hours on every week. I imagine quite a bit more work and a lot more tech. Can you shine a light on everything that is MO Pros these days and is the revenue you are generating from it just re-invested into the community and paying your costs? What's stopping you from going all-in on this project?"No Bullsh*t Demo" programI think one of the things that sets your community apart from both a user but also a sponsor/brand perspective is your "No Bullsh*t Demo" program. I've sat in on a few of these and for martech companies selling to marketers, this is one of the best ways to reach your ICP.Walk us through how you got this idea and if you're seeing this more in other communities?MOPS-APALOOZA https://marketingops.com/mopsapalooza23/ You've got a big conference coming up in Nov later this year featuring big name speakers like Scott Brinker (Chiefmartec) and Juan Mendoza (TMW). I'd love to hear the story behind creating an in person event and how you went about it and getting big name speakers?I'll give you the floor to pitch the conference to the audience. Why is this going to be different from other events we've been to? You know those events that cost a pretty penny only to get disappointed by talks and come back to your company with little insights and a few new business cards. What's a certified marketing ops pro?Recently you ranted about take-home assignments in interview rounds and asked the community how we might find ways to prove the skills we have in MOps AHEAD of our next interview. You got a lot of interesting comments on your post. One thing I was surprised that no one commented about is how wildly different the role of MOps is at a startup as a 1 person MOPs team doing everything under the sun vs. at a big 50+ MOps team at a massive enterprise company. I've seen this first hand. Different skills and different types of humans… maybe there's a cert for startup/smb/enterprise marketing ops proBased on the feedback you got, what's your current thoughts on this, what's a certified marketing ops pro?AI not replacing any marketers any time soonWe can't get through a podcast these days without talking about something that's on everyone's minds, even if some of us have muted all those AI tech bros on Twitter… I don't think you'd describe yourself as an AI critic or detractor but you've said in a few places that you don't think AI will be replacing any marketing jobs any time soon.I think the key thing here is that you're using the term “anytime soon” haha… that could be 3 months like it could be 5 years so you're saving yourself from potential ridicule by not giving a fixed definition on your time horizon. But maybe we can spend a bit of time here because this is something we don't totally agree on.AI not replacing community-focused rolesIn our 4 part series on AI, we had a deep dive into how to prepare and future proof your career, potentially exploring new areas of marketing that will be less likely to be impacted. One of those is community-focused roles, which you obviously know a thing or two about. What advice would you have for listeners who don't have any or little experience with community and events to get some experience and potentially explore this area of speciality?Immersive, personalized events of the futureWe're big sci-fi fans here on the podcast and love thinking about the speculative future. What are some of the areas that excite you the most about the future of community-led marketing? One that's thrown around a lot – and likely only going to get even crazier with Apple's Vision Pro announcement –  is VR and metaverse applications, curious what your thoughts are on: Immersive, personalized events. A future that involves more gamification and VR activations. Starting a fractional businessJon to free form this one – curiosity is a good theme – adventure – I'm very curious about how you choose what you go - what lessons you wish you could bring back to yourself 5-10 years ago…Last questionMike – you're a founder and CEO, a podcaster, a community moderator, a community-led freelancer, a speaker, a conference organizer, a husband and father of two, a football fanatic… you have a lot going on… One question we ask all our guests is how do you remain happy and successful in your career? How do you find balance between all the things you're working on while staying happy?—Intro music by Wowa via UnminusCover art created with Midjourney

Ghosts of Elections Past, Present, and FutureWe talked to Rick Pildes (NYU Law) a few days after the Moore v. Harper oral argument, the “independent state legislature” case that instilled many worries about the Court opening a door to state legislatures overriding the popular vote. While those fears were unfounded (so to speak), this case raises other concerns that federal courts will get more intwined with elections and will block state courts from enforcing their constitutions, overturning impermissible gerrymanders, and providing remedies. In “Ghosts of Elections Past, Present, and Future,” we talk about how this case is haunted not only by the 2020 election, a fake electors scheme based on the Electors Claus(e), and an insurrection; it is also haunted by ghost-of-election-past Bush v. Gore and the ghosts-of-election-future. We also ask, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” The left embracing Rehnquist's Bush v. Gore concurrence? Jed also observes a Festivus Airing of Grievances about conservatives' originalism errors and the Democrats' litigation strategy.  There was barely enough historical evidence to sustain one hour of oral argument, but the Court made it last for what felt like eight. We also talk to Rick about election law in an era of fragmentation(North Pole-arization?)Rick is the Sudler Family Professor at NYU Law School anda co-creator of the major casebook in this field, The Law of Democracy. He has served on President Biden appointed him to the President's Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States. As a lawyer, Pildes has successfully argued voting-rights and election-law cases before the United States Supreme Court, and was part of the Emmy-nominated NBC breaking-news team for coverage of the 2000 Bush v. Gore contest. We discuss his recent articles and posts here:“The Age of Political Fragmentation,” Journal of Democracy (2021).“Election Law in an Age of Distrust,” Stanford Law Review Online (2022).Election Law Blog on Moore v. He felt he was stuck and unfulfilled at a job he wasn't happy with, and met with a coach that changed everything for him. This coach suggested journaling to declutter the mind and get everything out on paper, and this habit is what led Eric to be able to get his vision out there and start creating a future that aligned with his purpose. If journaling sounds like a great idea to you, but you don't know where to start, in this episode Eric walks you through how he first started, and how you can do the same thing in a very easy and actionable way. This process involves gratitude for what you currently have, in an effort to block out any fear that might creep in surrounding venturing out and trying something new. We can't feel gratitude and fear at the same time, so it's important to practice gratitude to block out that fear.In this episode, Eric will teach you how to use your memory and the power of visualization to create your ideal future and build a blueprint that will lay out how you are going to get there.Key highlights:Create your dream future by journaling“Anything that exists has been created twice, once in a person's mind, and then in real life.”Ideas come from us from a higher sourceEric started journaling to declutter his mindOur thoughts cause our feelings and our feelings cause our actionsWhen we are feeling joy and excitement we want to get out and be productiveWe can't feel gratitude and fear at the same timeIt's important to practice gratitude to block out fearThe concept of using visualization, memory, and imagination, to create a dream futureWe are not utilizing our memory the right wayIf you really to get out of where you are and get to somewhere better, design what that place looks likeConnect with Eric:Be sure to connect with us in our Lead Sell Grow – The Human Experience Tribe Facebook groupPick up your copy of B2B Sales Secrets HereLearn more about our services: www.TheGoalGuide.comImprove your sales and stay connected – Free Gifts Here https://shor.by/TheGoalGuide

In this episode I am hoping to give you a slightly different take on the topic of focus. Many of us feel like focus is something that escapes us, it's something that we approach with frustration and find ourselves in patterns of trying to force focus upon ourselves.   What I hope to share with this episode is the importance of the self-reflective process of nailing down the reason why we're struggling to focus. When we understand the why, we can act in accordance and bring focus back is a seamless way rather than pushing it with force and frustration.   4 reasons why we struggle to focus: We're distracted by something coming in the futureWe're distracted by something that happened in the pastWe're too far in ORDER: feeling boredWe're too much in CHAOS: feeling overwhelmed Referenced in this episode: Episode on the Fear of RejectionEpisode on Asking Better QuestionsEpisode on 5 Productivity HacksEpisode on A Moment of Stillness>> Are you looking to move beyond the patterns currently holding you back, moving beyond emotions that are blocking you and create a new reality? A new reality that allows you to step into new levels of confidence, self-assurance, balance and ultimately allows you to be the kind of person that you know you can be? Are you ready to connect with the deep personal power that lies within you? I'm taking on 2 new 1:1 clients this month. Find out more here and reach out to chat!

In this episode, Meghan interviews author, Mark Schutter. He is the author of Cowboys Are Not Supposed to Cry, a memoir. He tells his story of living a life with grief that began in his midtwenties. The death of his young wife left him alone, and although life was tough, he vowed to show the world that he was tougher.Remarrying and having a daughter, to onlookers, from the outside, life seemed happy again, until in an anguished night of prayer, Mark heard the words that to be the husband and father he wanted to be, he must:reconcile the pastembrace the presentredeem the futureWe talk about:How men have a hard time talking about mental healthHis story of grief and lossHis impetus to share his storyAbout Mark:As a much younger man, Mark stood helplessly at the edge of the dark abyss of pain, death and grief. The experience of watching his first wife die at age 26 from breast cancer forced him to question the meaning of life in his search for answers that impact his writings to this day.He has lived his entire life in the Pacific Northwest where the land, nature and people both inspire and fuel his writing. His poetry has been featured in several print and online publications as he works on his first full-length book of his poetry that explores the pain that we all face during our lives and the hope that can rise.He is happily remarried to a wonderful woman who he claims is the most beautiful and strongest woman he has ever known. He has been blessed with a beautiful daughter who keeps him young in this second chapter of life that he has been granted. He enjoys horses and mountain biking when not writing. He believes in the ‘ripple effect,' touch one life and you may touch the world, for to share the journey, however brief, is a wonderful gift. His wish is to share the joys, the sorrows, the hope and healing to inspire others to live despite the grief we all carry because there is “life after…”https://markschutter.com/Support the show (https://judgingmeghan.com/support/)Support the show (https://judgingmeghan.com/support/)

Some have speculated that the global COVID pandemic is merely first tremors of a vast shockwave brought on by environmental decline, failed socio-economic policy and cynical political manipulation. Perhaps more than ever before, the need for reconsidering the fundamental values, agendas and possibilities of architecture and urbanism is clear. We must begin to imagine fundamentally new questions and trajectories that go beyond the lifeless, recycled formalisms, neoDarwinian ethics and vacant marketing-speech—we must begin to answer the question of how can we, as architects, work towards a living future for our spaces, societies and species? In this talk, Ole Scheeren, Principal of international architectural practice Buro Ole Scheeren, will explore the role of this question in the work of the office and how the search for an answer has informed the development of several of the office's unprecedented and city-defining structures.Ole Scheeren, Principal, Büro Ole Scheeren See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Many struggle with feelings of guilt. Some even berate themselves, self-criticize, and continue to beat themselves down until they loose all self esteem and start hating themselves due to unskilfull, harmful actions they have done. But that serves no benefit to anyone: It doesnt help the person we may have harmed, it's bad for ourselves, and of no use to anyone at all.Ajahn Dhammasiha explains what the Buddha advised us to do if we have committed harm:We have to recognize if we have acted unskilfully, fully understand and honestly acknowlege it (suppression/denial doesn't work!)If possible, we try to fix any damage and ask for forgivenessWe firmly resolve to do better in futureWe completely forgive ourselves and let goWe maintain our resolution and restrain ourselves not to do the unskilful action ever againGuilt is all about the past. Please do consider signing up to our email newsletter. And follow us on LinkedIn at Jimmy's Jobs of the FutureWe are on Instagram and Twitter: @jimmysjobs Thank you for your continued supportEpisode summaryIf I were summing that up to the Prime Minister, I would suggest something along the lines of the following. PM, we met with an interesting company this week that is a large provider of data and digital upskilling to large corporates in the UK. They work with Burberry, Unilever, Marks & Spencer to provide Data Academies. They have also become a modern day exporter setting up offices across the globe and having trained half a million people in 85 cities, including American companies like Nike. Kathryn believes that it should be a legal requirement for boards to understand data and cybersecurity, in the way that all board members have a grasp of finances. The World Economic Forum released a paper this week on the future of work saying that whilst 43% of businesses expect to reduce their workforce due to technology integration, they still ultimately expect more jobs to be created overall as a result of innovation. Mathematics, engineering and physics are as valuable as computer science, interestingly they noted Southampton has an up and coming talent hub. The technology founder has an unusual story, having read Classics at University, demonstrating again that technology founders can come from many backgrounds. This would undoubtedly pique the current occupier of No.10's interest as he studied Classics and can recite Ancient Greek incredibly well. Well I say incredibly well, it seems impressive to me when he does it. If you'd like to see more information about the job roles being offered please look at my Twitter @jimmym

I was so taken with what he was talking about (applying neuroscience to work) that we arranged to meet up, and he brought Peter Burow, the founder of the company along. There's some wonderful stuff in this discussion:the important of Relatedness in teamshow we build affinity between people who might not initially see a connection with each other (in this case doctors from India and Pakistan)how good teams don't avoid conflict, they are comfortable with ithow resilience can be built in teams"We think people want to be liked, they need to be needed"The model that they use in their work is RELISH: Relatedness, Expression, Leading the pack, Interpersonal connection, See Progress and Hope for the futureWe talk a lot about Matt Lieberman's book, Social.Misha invites listeners to drop him an email you can do that here. (2018). Whitney's research and work in disruptive innovation starts with the understanding that the framework of disruption is at a very high level a framework for managing change - beginning with the individual. She developed her proprietary framework and diagnostics after having cofounded the Disruptive Innovation Fund with Harvard Business School's Clayton Christensen. Whether scaling a business or trying to get your people to be more innovative, Whitney's research helps people to harness, rather than just cope with change and become a person people want to hire and a boss people want to work for.In addition to her work as a speaker and advisor, Whitney is one of Marshall Goldsmith's original cohort of 25 for the #100 Coaches Project, is a coach for Harvard Business School's Executive Education program, frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, is a Linkedin influencer, and hosts the twice-monthly Disrupt Yourself Podcast. What is your goal for this study? We’ll discuss several self-defeating goals a bit later in this study, but for now let’s consider what a good, sustainable goal would be for this study:To develop and sustain a satisfying lifestyleThat seeks to honor God by being a good steward of the particular body He gave youBy relating to food in a healthy wayAnd recognizing that God gave us food to be enjoyable fuel“We need a new relationship with food altogether, seeing it as an aspect of life but not the reason for life. While food ultimately is fuel for our physical vessel, it is also something we accept as a pleasurable and good gift from God. There is evidence of his care for us and that his provision of food goes beyond necessity to include aspects of his generosity and kindness (p. 53).” Gary Thomas in Every Body Matters: Strengthening Your Body to Strengthen Your SoulNotice that in this approach we do not use numbers – ideal weight, desired pant size, pounds to lose-gain per month, etc… We simply want to be a good steward of the body God gave us. That is “success.” We will talk about numbers later, but they merely serve the larger purpose of stewarding our body. When numbers get in the front of our mind and priorities, bad things happen. This stands in contrast to ways that we often think about changing our eating habits (contrasting with four points above):We think about short-term fixes that we’ll abdicate in the near futureWe try to manipulate or condemn our body to conform to some idealized shape or weightBy relating to food in unhealthy ways or manipulating ourselves with food as a reward or punishmentAnd trying to use food to distract us from or resolve struggles over which it has no influenceHopefully, you can begin to see that most people try to change their eating habits by becoming personally abusive. Shame, condemnation, and coercion are their emotional motivators of choice. If they parented their children or treated their co-workers like they related to food, they would be arrested or fired. God wants something better for you.You can also see that most attempts at changing our relationship to food are self-sabotagingly short-term. Whether it’s someone who over-restricts eating a bit less to get parents off their back, or someone who over-eats “going on a diet,” the dysfunctional relationship with food remains the “norm” from which they commit to temporarily depart. God wants something better for you. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
