You may have heard it said: "Jesus may be in your heart, but grandpa is in your bones." It's a statement that captures something real about family history and its hold on us, but is it actually true? And is it biblical? In this Summer Reset episode of the Jesus Over Everything podcast, Lisa Whittle takes on one of the most talked-about and least-understood topics in Christian culture: generational sin. Drawing from personal Bible study, scientific research on epigenetic inheritance, and her own family history, Lisa unpacks what the Bible actually says (and doesn't say) about generational sin, what we have the power to change, and why the blood of Jesus is a stronger force than any family bloodline. Listen in to learn more: The Pete Scazzaro statement Lisa “partly” agrees with What "generational sin" actually means and why the term doesn't appear in the Bible Epigenetic inheritance: the science on stress, trauma, and DNA being passed down The difference between inheriting patterns through proximity and inheriting sin through a bloodstream What we do have the power to change (and what only Jesus can do) Mentioned in the Episode: Bible Study – God Knows by Lisa Whittle: https://www.lisawhittle.com/godknows Book – Good Baggage by Ike Miller: https://ikemiller.com/good-baggage Episode – Ike Miller on Good Baggage: https://www.lisawhittle.com/joeshow/joe-s10e17 Invite Lisa to Speak: https://www.lisawhittle.com/speaking Connect with Lisa:Website: https://www.lisawhittle.comSubstack: https://letsbeclear.substack.comYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@lisawhittleofficialInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisawhittleFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/lisawhittleofficial

Welcome to the Summer Leadership Reset on Partnering Leadership. We have more access to ideas than ever before.More books. More podcasts. More articles. More insights. The challenge isn't finding more information. It's spending enough time with the ideas that can change how we think, decide, and lead.I have seen this in my own life. The books and conversations that have influenced me most aren't the ones I rushed through and moved on from. They are the ones I returned to, wrestled with, and understood differently as my own experiences changed. After more than 450 Partnering Leadership conversations with CEOs, researchers, authors, and leadership thinkers, there are a few I continue coming back to because the ideas become more valuable the more we sit with them.Throughout July and August, I'll be sharing 10 of those conversations. They explore some of the questions I see leaders wrestling with most: adapting to change, building trust, making better decisions, rethinking work, using AI wisely, and creating organizations ready for what comes next.Whether you are listening for the first time or revisiting these conversations, I hope they help you find an insight you can apply and a question worth thinking about long after the episode ends.—MahanConnect with Mahan Tavakoli:Mahan Tavakoli Website Mahan Tavakoli on LinkedIn Partnering Leadership Website

Simply Convivial: Organization & Mindset for Home & Homeschool
Chaos to Consistency 90-minute Reset: https://www.simplyconvivial.com/reset ⬅️ Feeling overwhelmed, chaotic, and constantly behind — no matter how hard you're working? Working harder isn't the answer. What you actually need is to stop and make a few simple, intentional decisions — and this video walks you through exactly which ones.Forget the massive decluttering session or the perfect Pinterest system. The real reset is "thought work" — pre-made decisions in four key areas that clear the obstacles to a steady, peaceful rhythm at home.In this episode, I cover the 4 foundational systems every home needs:
Hi Mamas, Have you ever noticed that the minute you walk through your front door after vacation, your brain stops thinking about all the incredible memories you just made... and immediately starts making a mental list of everything you need to do? Laundry. Groceries. Emails. Work. Meal planning. Back-to-school prep. As working moms, it's so easy to feel like we're already behind before we've even unpacked our suitcases. In today's episode, I'm sharing six simple ways to reset after vacation without feeling overwhelmed so you can transition back into everyday life with more peace, less stress, and a whole lot more intention. After returning home from an unforgettable two-week family trip to Spain, I realized one of the biggest lessons I brought home had nothing to do with travel. It was the reminder that vacation isn't an interruption to your life… it is your life. And instead of rushing to "catch up," maybe what we really need is a gentle reset. In this episode, you'll learn: Why giving yourself a buffer day after vacation can make all the difference How to avoid trying to reset your entire life in one day Why rebuilding your routines matters more than having a perfectly clean house The mindset shift that will help you stop feeling like you're constantly behind How choosing just ONE reset can reduce overwhelm and build momentum Simple ways to bring the slower, more intentional feeling of vacation home with you If you're heading back to work, preparing for back-to-school season, or simply feeling overwhelmed after time away, this episode will help you reset with grace instead of guilt. ⭐ If you enjoyed this episode, please take a moment to leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify… your reviews help more amazing moms find the show! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

THE TRUTH RESET — the tool that interrupts The Fantasy Loop™ and brings youback to yourself. This one is different. It's not a teaching episode — it's a practice. BrianneDavis walks you through The Truth Reset™ in real time: a five-step tool shedeveloped and has been using for years to break the fantasy loop, calm thenervous system, and return to what's actually true. Find a comfortable place, take a breath, and do it with her.In Episode 322 of Secret Life Podcast, Brianne guides you through all fivesteps of The Truth Reset™ — because truth heals what fantasy keeps alive. In this episode:— Step 1, Track the activation: how to catch the loop the moment it starts, before it runs you ("I see the loop. I am not the loop.")— Step 2, Regulate the nervous system: why your body needs evidence you're safe right now — not promises about the future— Step 3, Uncover the emotional truth: how to get behind the story to the feeling underneath ("healing happens through feelings")— Step 4, Translate reality accurately: challenging the story, not the emotion — "what are the facts? What else could be true?"— Step 5, Heal through aligned action: the one question that changes everything — "what action right now honors me?"You are not broken. You are becoming. You will loop again, you will forget, you will get triggered — and you will come back. Because every return isprogress. Every reset is healing. Feeling off lately? Exhausted, holding weight you can't explain, and not quite yourself — you're not broken. You might just be doing "discipline" wrong. In this episode, I bring my husband on to talk about something most wellness content skips: the difference between discipline and rigidity, and why learning to tolerate discomfort (without spiraling into control) might be the actual reset your body's been asking for. We get into: → Why rigidity feels like discipline but works against you → What it actually looks like to sit with discomfort instead of managing it away → How this shows up in marriage, not just meal plans → Why "The Real Reset" isn't another diet — it's a nervous system shift If this hit home, The Real Reset is where we take it further. Have you become so busy taking care of everyone else that you've forgotten how to take care of yourself? In this inspiring conversation, Colleen welcomes Cherie Ashana, author of The Sacred She Reset, to discuss why so many moms feel depleted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves during midlife. Cherie shares her own story of burnout and how it led her to create a framework for helping women move from exhaustion to radiance. Together, they explore how suppressed anger often carries an important message, why self-care is not selfish but essential, and how reconnecting with yourself ultimately benefits your entire family. They also offer practical tools—including breathwork, journaling, and creating daily moments of stillness—to help moms reset their nervous systems and rediscover joy. Three Key Takeaways 1. Your anger may be pointing to unmet needs. Many moms spend years putting everyone else first. Over time, unexpressed needs can build into frustration or rage. Instead of judging your anger, get curious about what it's trying to tell you. 2. Small daily resets restore your nervous system. Even five minutes each morning to breathe, place your hands over your heart, and ask yourself, "How am I feeling today?" can calm your nervous system and help you approach your family from a place of peace rather than depletion. 3. When moms become radiant, everyone benefits. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's one of the greatest gifts you can give your children. The joy, peace, and healthy boundaries you cultivate become the model your family experiences every day. A leadership reset doesn't wait for burnout to make the case for it. It's a scheduled recalibration, sometimes a defined season, sometimes an hour carved out over a month, built to look at what's working, what's stopped working, and where you actually want to go, whether this season is falling apart or things have never been better. EPISODE OVERVIEW I had a different episode planned for today. I scrapped it. This one is about the decision to set something down on purpose, four weeks before anything forces the decision for me, in the middle of a season that includes a son leaving for college, a daughter starting her junior year, and real momentum in the business that makes stepping back feel almost irrational. This isn't for the leader who's already burned out. It's for every leader, whether things are going well right now or not. WHAT YOU'LL HEAR The difference between a vacation and a real recalibration Why the best time to reset is before you think you need one What this season is actually asking of me, and maybe of you LEADERSHIP PATTERN TO NOTICE There is a version of leadership that treats stillness as something to be earned first. Rest gets scheduled for after the goal, after the quarter, after things calm down, except things rarely calm down on their own. This has nothing to do with how close you are to burning out. The leaders who wait for permission usually get it from exhaustion instead of intention, and by then, the reset is not a choice anymore. It is damage control. SIT WITH THIS What could you set down for a season, on purpose, before something forces you to? WHAT'S COMING NEXT I'll be back in September with more intention behind it, and likely some new voices in the room. “Send Coach John a message”Super advice here from Mindset Machine (@mindsetmachine) where this is what was shared: “Always give yourself something small to look forward to, like a nice meal or a weekend stroll. Home affordability isn't going back to what it was, and waiting for the "perfect" time to buy could leave you even further behind. Morgan Stanley's latest housing report says the housing market has reset into a new normal, and it closely mirrors what we've been telling buyers for years. In this episode, we break down why buying a home has become more challenging, what this housing market reset means for first-time home buyers, and how to determine whether now is the right time to buy based on your financial situation, not the headlines. If you're wondering whether you should buy a house now or wait, this video walks through the latest housing market trends, mortgage rates, inventory, affordability, and the long-term financial impact of homeownership. We explain why experts believe affordability is unlikely to return to pre-2020 levels, how higher mortgage rates have changed the market, and why waiting for a major correction may not deliver the opportunity many buyers are hoping for.Whether you're a first-time home buyer, planning to purchase your first house, or simply trying to understand today's real estate market, you'll learn the strategies that can help you make a smarter decision with confidence. Our goal isn't to convince you to buy a home. It's to give you the information you need to decide if homeownership makes sense for your life and your finances.Start Here

Welcome to the 39th Monday Reset for Sports Parents — a short reflection inside The Youth Sports Parenting Tribe. Each Monday Reset brings you one word, one idea, and one mindset to help you start the week calm, clear, and connected. This week's word is Words. They last longer than any game ever will. Your child is collecting words right now, building their inner voice sentence by sentence. The sentences spoken by the people they love most become the voice they hear when things get hard. High-performing athletes often share one thing in common: someone who saw something real in them and named it out loud before they even earned it. Not empty praise, but genuine recognition. This week, name one real, specific thing you see in your child as an athlete and say it out loud. Not to motivate them before a game, but simply because it's true. You are building their inner voice whether you mean to or not. Make it one that lifts them up. Take a breath. Reset. The words you speak today become the voice they trust tomorrow. Your Sunday Reset (02.08.26) by Radio Islam
Do this before bed to calm your nervous system, support your vagus nerve, and drift into deep, healing sleep. This gentle vagus nerve reset meditation is designed to help you shift from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest using slow breathing, soft sighs, self-compassion, and a tender full-body scan. You're invited to arrive exactly as you are—busy-minded, tired, or tender-hearted—and be reminded again and again: you are safe, you are held, you are okay as you are. In this sleep meditation you will: - Use slow, rhythmic breathing and soft sighs to send a message of safety through your whole system - Explore a somatic hug and soothing (or imagined) self-touch to gently tone the vagus nerve - Experience a warm, tender body scan with visualization, from the crown of the head all the way to sleepy toes - Ground into three points of support beneath you and feel fully held and supported - Practice kindness, acceptance, and letting go of attachment and expectations - Rest into healing affirmations such as: - I am safe to rest - My body is heard - My body's natural healing is active now - rest deeply now This practice is ideal as a bedtime meditation, sleep hypnosis style relaxation, or a nervous system reset at the end of a long day. Listen lying down or seated, let the ground meet you where you are, and allow your body to remember how to rest, repair, and heal. If your mind wanders, that's perfectly okay. Thoughts can simply float by—like leaves on a slow stream—as you are gently guided back to your breath, your body, and the steady support beneath you.
What does it look like to truly draw near to God? In this message from Ezra 8, Pastor Phil Hopper points to the river of Ahava, where God's people prepared for an uncertain journey through prayer and fasting. Best D Life with Daniela- Helping You Find the Bliss in Your Busy
Constant busyness overloads your nervous system, triggering automatic emotional reactions instead of thoughtful responses. In my latest episode, I explore the neuroscience behind our reactions. When we're in a state of constant stress, our nervous system becomes overloaded. This pushes our prefrontal cortex (the "thinking brain") offline, leaving our emotional, reactive brain in charge. This is why we might snap at a loved one or agree to a task we don't have time for. I share practical, actionable strategies using micro-moments to break this cycle and help reset your nervous system and reactivate clear thinking. Listen now!

You may not need more customers to increase your profit. You may just need to stop wasting the money you already make. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why cutting unnecessary expenses can improve your bottom line faster than chasing more leads and increasing top-line revenue. Revenue may look impressive. But the money left after expenses is what actually builds the business. Unused software, weak vendor agreements, and bloated overhead quietly drain the cash that could be invested into talent, marketing, and expansion. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why cutting one dollar of waste can be more valuable than earning one dollar of revenue• How low profit margins force businesses to work harder for less• Why every subscription, invoice, and vendor contract should be audited• How lean operations create more free cash flow for growth The truth is simple: Making more money means nothing if you cannot keep it. Review every expense. Cancel what you do not use. Renegotiate weak agreements. Protect your margins. When you plug the leaks, you create more cash without adding another customer to the roster. I start this episode by discussing the recent life sentence of Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, the founder of the notorious Sinaloa Cartel. This news hits close to home as I share some of my own personal experiences dealing with the cartel during one of the darkest periods of my life. Although it was a terrifying ordeal, surviving those intense emotions and fear has ultimately given me a much deeper appreciation for my life today. It is a stark reminder of how far I have come and how much my perspective on materialism and relationships has changed for the better.I then dive into the latest surrounding Dr. Anthony Fauci, discussing his recent Senate committee hearing where he pleaded the fifth, the contents of his released diary, and the broader implications of the COVID-19 pandemic response.I also touch on other topics, such as money stuff, the Minnesota madness, Romo DUI, Andrew Tate, psychedelic reset, and so much more.

A brutal breakup. A six-pack on the cover of magazines. An engagement that ended. And the moment everything fell apart, the question that broke it all open: What have I actually been running from? Everything Brian built, every race, every trophy, every pound lifted, was fueled by self-hatred. The moment he stopped long enough to ask why, everything changed. Brian Keane is a 3x bestselling author, ultra-endurance athlete, and mindset coach who has helped 150+ entrepreneurs create sustainable change from the inside out. In this conversation, he and George go deep on identity, self-worth, the four quadrants of a fulfilling life, and what it actually takes to stop optimizing the wrong thing. What You'll Learn In This Episode: Why keeping weight off is harder than losing it and the real reason why The four quadrant framework: health, wealth, love, and fulfillment How scarcity scales with success and how to rewire your relationship with money The "chains of habits" and the oak tree analogy for behavior change Why most entrepreneurs are more comfortable in their old story than writing a new one The director's cut thought experiment for discharging trauma and limiting beliefs The horse experiment: how to identify when you're the common denominator Why your mess becomes your message and why vulnerability is the real competitive edge Key Takeaways: ✔️You can't give from an empty cup. Entrepreneurs are the last to prioritize themselves, and the first to pay the price for it. ✔️Fueling from gratitude instead of fear is not a mindset hack. It's the difference between a decade of anxiety and a decade of sustainable output. ✔️The chains of habits are too loose to be felt until they're too strong to be broken. A habit is a seed. Leave it alone long enough and it becomes an oak tree. ✔️The horse experiment: if three people call you a horse, get a saddle. The common denominator in every repeated pattern is you. ✔️The director's cut: create an alternative version of your charged story. Not to live in fantasy, but to discharge the energy so you can look at it clearly. ✔️Frequency attracts tribe. When you go deeper on your own work, what you attract changes — in relationships, in business, and in life. ✔️Water rises to the level it's comfortable at. Your environment, community, and inner work determine your ceiling. ✔️Your mess is your message. Being witnessed in vulnerability neutralizes the charge and unlocks your next chapter. What if the missing piece in every body conversation you've ever had wasn't a new program, a better routine, or the right expert, but a theological foundation you never knew you were missing? In this special Summer Reset episode of the Jesus Over Everything podcast, we're sharing something a little different: a conversation that was so good, we had to bring it here. This is the premiere episode of Season 11 of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, where Lisa co-hosted alongside Candace for a full season dedicated to body, soul, and faith. In it, Lisa introduces the concept of whole body theology: a biblical framework that reframes how we see ourselves not as projects to fix, but as whole persons created for God's glory. Both women get vulnerable about their own long and complicated histories with body image and disordered eating, the exhaustion of conflicting health information, and what it actually looks like when the Word of God becomes the foundation, not just another tool in the stack. If you've ever felt exhausted by the endless cycle of health information, or wondered why knowing better has never quite been enough, this conversation is for you. And if this episode resonates, the full season is waiting. Check out all 12 episodes on YouTube! Listen in to learn more: (08:41) Why Candace chose this theme, and the viral moment that started it all (11:36) How Lisa's Body and Soul Bible study came to be and what it changed for her personally (17:28) Lisa and Candace get vulnerable: their body stories, eating disorder history, and what shame taught them about themselves (25:44) The exhaustion of diet culture, conflicting expert advice, and the needle that never stops moving (31:15) The one kind of rest we're all craving (and why it isn't sleep) (33:55) What is whole body theology? Is your home office a source of stress instead of productivity? You're not alone. That pile of papers, the drawer stuffed with pens you forgot you owned, the desk you have to clear before you can even sit down to work—it's overwhelming. But it doesn't have to stay that way. In this episode, Kathi Lipp and Grace Church dive into practical strategies for tackling office clutter without the overwhelm. Whether you're preparing for a fall reset or simply tired of dreading your workspace, this conversation offers real solutions for real life. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why "office guts" backfire and what to do instead The 15-minute decision timeline that keeps you making good choices How to create a sustainable system rather than a one-time cleanup The power of body doubling for staying on task Why gathering all your office supplies in one spot is a game-changer How a year-long no office supply challenge can transform your space Key Takeaways Done is better than perfect. Perfectionism is the number one thing that stalls office projects before they even start. Give yourself permission to make progress without needing everything to be just right. Work in 15-minute increments. Beyond 15 minutes, decision fatigue sets in and you start making poor choices. Short bursts of focused decluttering lead to better results. You have more than you think. Before buying another pen, sticky note, or notebook, gather everything you own into one spot. You might be surprised at your personal "office supply store." Sustainable systems beat one-time cleanups. Rather than gutting your entire office in a weekend, focus on one area at a time—desk one day, files the next, walls another day. August is the perfect time for a fall reset. Don't wait for September when the busyness hits—start now so you can enjoy the season ahead with less stress and more clarity.
This week on Hurdle, Emily sits down with Olympic and Indoor World Champion Julien Alfred. The track and field star opens up about navigating the mental ups and downs of elite competition, moving away from home at age 14 to pursue her dreams, and learning how to protect her inner peace amid massive international success and public attention. Julien shares how she overcomes self-doubt, handles the pressure of representing Saint Lucia on the global stage, and why giving herself grace has been key to her growth both on and off the track. IN THIS EPISODE Navigating Mental Rough Patches: Julien reflects on starting the season in a difficult mental space, questioning her abilities, and how stepping back helped her reset and realign. Overcoming Loss & Finding Drive: How losing her father at a young age shaped her resilience and continues to inspire her athletic journey today. Handling High Pressure: What it’s like to carry the expectations of an entire country while learning to focus on her own personal growth and goals first. Protecting Inner Peace: Why Julien steps away from social media and media noise to surround herself with a strong support system that values her for who she is, not just what she accomplishes on the track. The Move at Age 14: The immense sacrifice of leaving Saint Lucia as a teenager for Jamaica to train, and how that leap of faith prepared her for college and professional success. Game Face vs. Real Life: The contrast between Julien’s calm, peaceful personality off the track and her focused, "all business" alter ego on race day. QUOTABLE MOMENTS "I am just such a resilient person, a strong person, that if I'm down for a short time, I know I'm going to find my way to get back to the top." "It's okay to give yourself grace. It's okay to mess up sometimes. That's part of being human." "Small island, big things—you can just do whatever you put your mind to, no matter where you're from." "On the track, I'm a different person. It's all business... There's nothing to smile about until I cross that line first."
