Feeling off after the holidays does not mean you need to panic, crash diet, or punish yourself with extra cardio. In this Beast over Burden legacy episode, Niki Sims and Andrew Jackson talk about how lifters can reset their nutrition after the holidays while still supporting strength training, muscle, and long-term progress. They discuss the post-holiday tipping point: feeling bloated, fluffy, tired, or ready for change after a season of more food, more alcohol, less sleep, and less consistency. Instead of overcorrecting, they explain how to stabilize first, choose better metrics, and make nutrition changes that are realistic and sustainable. Niki and Andrew cover fat loss versus weight loss, waist measurements, rolling weight averages, alcohol, high-protein meals, single-ingredient foods, fruits and vegetables, weighing and measuring, hand-portion guidance, and why long-term body composition change requires time and consistency. What was the Acts 2 church meant to be? And how far have we drifted from it? Continuing the Summer Reset series on the Jesus Over Everything podcast, Lisa Whittle tackles a topic her own audience asked her to address: cliques, popularity dynamics, and comfortable social circles that quietly take root in the very place designed to be their opposite. Drawing on real messages from listeners, teachings from top theologians, and a challenge rooted in Matthew 28, Lisa makes the case that playing church – surrounding ourselves with people who look, act, and think just like us – is more than a social problem. It's a spiritual one. This is a conversation for anyone who's ever felt the gap between what the church is supposed to be and what it sometimes is, and wants to close it. Listen in to learn more: Why Lisa almost didn't make this episode and what changed her mind The listener's message about cliques in women's ministry that started it all What the Acts 2 church was actually designed to be (and what it was never meant to be) How our social patterns have replaced the mission of the church Why cliques have no place in a community called to unity The connection between comfortable Christianity and a lazy faith What is really at risk when we miss the person sitting alone A hard question: Are we living for Jesus or for popularity and comfort? There are seasons in life when I can feel myself craving rest, yet slowing down feels uncomfortable. In this episode, I share why I chose to step completely off the grid for a wellness retreat and what surfaced in me as I prepared to disconnect. What surprised me most wasn't just the logistics or anxiety—it was recognizing how much I had tied my worth to constantly doing and being available. I talk about the difference between collapse and intentional rest, why nervous system regulation matters, and why stillness is not a luxury reserved for a few people. I've learned that rest isn't something I earn after I've done enough. It's something I need if I want to live with clarity, joy, and presence. In this episode, you'll learn: Why stepping away can reveal what truly needs attention The difference between intentional rest and burnout How chronic busyness affects emotional regulation and joy Why rest is a biological requirement, not a reward Simple ways to create moments of stillness in everyday life If you've been waiting for permission to slow down, I hope this episode encourages you to give yourself that gift and reconnect with what matters most. What if the way you're aging has more to do with your metabolic health than your age itself? In this episode of Optimal Metabolism, I sit down with longevity physician Dr. Jennifer Timmons to discuss the powerful connection between insulin resistance, hormone health, disease prevention, and aging well. Dr. Timmons shares how her experience in traditional primary care led her to pursue advanced training in functional medicine, precision medicine, and longevity medicine. Together, we discuss what it really means to optimize health as we age, why insulin resistance accelerates many age-related conditions, and how women can navigate menopause with a long-term health strategy in mind. We also explore the growing interest in peptide therapies, where they may fit into a comprehensive health plan, and the foundational lifestyle habits that matter far more than the latest longevity trends. If you're interested in protecting your metabolic health, maintaining vitality as you age, and increasing your healthspan—not just your lifespan—this episode is for you. WHAT WE DISCUSSED: Why insulin resistance may accelerate the aging process The difference between lifespan and healthspan Menopause as a long-term metabolic and cardiovascular transition The role of muscle mass in healthy aging How longevity medicine differs from traditional healthcare Preventive testing and early disease detection Peptide therapies: benefits, limitations, and considerations Common mistakes people make when pursuing longevity Why consistency often beats biohacking Practical steps women can take today to age well FOR MORE INFORMATION FROM DR. Everyone tells you to work on your business instead of in it. Nobody hands you the agenda for what that time is actually supposed to look like. In this episode, I walk you through the exact 90-minute midyear CEO session I have run on my own business every year for 11 years. This is a step-by-step financial review for small business owners who want to check in on their numbers before the second half of the year. I cover how the session changes depending on your financial stage, what to review on your profit and loss statement and balance sheet, how to check your tax reserve against what you have actually paid, and how to reforecast your budget for the next six months. Whether your books need a cleanup or you are casting a 10-year vision, this episode gives you the full agenda. In this episode of CEO Numbers Network, I break the session down by financial stage: foundation, empowered, and visionary. You will learn how to review your P&L and balance sheet like a CFO, how to check your payroll, owner pay, contractor W-9s, and tax reserve, and how to reforecast the back half of the year against your long-term goals. If you have ever blocked time to work on your business and ended up answering emails instead, this episode gives you the exact agenda to make those 90 minutes count.

The middle of the year is a natural time for clients to feel frustrated with their money plans. They may have started strong in January, felt excited about their budget, and believed this was finally going to be the year things changed. But then life happened. Unexpected expenses came up, categories did not work the way they thought they would, groceries or gas cost more than expected, and the plan started to feel harder to follow. In this episode, Maria and Cody talk about how financial coaches can help clients reset without giving up. The conversation explores why some “unexpected” expenses are actually expected but unplanned, how to help clients decide what needs to be adjusted, and why different clients may need different levels of preparation, peace of mind, and intensity. They also revisit a helpful reset exercise built around four questions: what is working, what is not working, what is missing, and what are you tolerating that maybe you should not be? If you have clients who are discouraged because their plan has not gone the way they hoped, this conversation will help you guide them back toward clarity, adjustment, and continued progress.
In this week's Live from the Vault, Andrew Maguire is joined by Craig Hemke to discuss why the gold and silver correction is now over, with record central bank buying and the largest Shanghai premium since 2008 pointing to a sharp move higher. The two experts examine how a US Treasury gold revaluation would unfold, why the new Fed chair has little room to diverge from dollar-weakening policy, and why every ounce of physical gold removed from the system brings a price reset closer. After weeks of Gemini's mental buzzing and Venus in Leo's bold social energy, the atmosphere turns inward, emotional, and home-focused. What does it mean to lead with both strength and softness? To build a successful career without losing yourself in the process? In this inspiring episode of Business of the Beat, hosts Kendra Bracken-Ferguson and LaShasta Bell sit down with Eryka Wellborn, accomplished engineer, leadership advocate, and mentor, for a powerful conversation about navigating male-dominated industries, embracing authenticity, and redefining leadership on your own terms. Eryka shares her journey into engineering, reflecting on the self-awareness, resilience, and tenacity that helped her succeed in spaces where women are often underrepresented. She discusses the importance of building supportive communities, developing a strong personal brand, and leading with confidence without feeling pressured to conform to traditional expectations of leadership. The conversation goes beyond professional success to explore the emotional and personal realities many women leaders face. Eryka opens up about the importance of regulating and resetting the nervous system, integrating grief into everyday life, and creating space for healing while continuing to lead and serve others. Through her personal experiences, she offers valuable insight into the power of self-awareness, emotional well-being, and reconnecting with one's femininity as a source of strength rather than limitation. Together, Kendra, LaShasta, and Eryka examine how nurturing yourself can become a critical leadership skill and why understanding your own needs is essential to effectively supporting your team, community, and loved ones. The discussion also explores the concept of legacy and the lasting impact women can have when they lead authentically and intentionally. This episode is a thoughtful reminder that true leadership begins with self-awareness, and that success is most meaningful when it aligns with who you truly are. Happy hump day, Tribe! This week, the Good Moms are asking a different kind of question: Are we over-inspired, under-nourished, and done settling for dusty men and outdated rules? The moms also open up about parents, politics, and generational disconnect... from Fox News grandmas and Spencer Pratt on the ballot to dads who “don’t see color” but listen to Kevin Samuels. They talk about realizing your parents might be emotionally stuck in another era, and how to break those patterns with your own kids. In this episode, you’ll hear: Why so many women are choosing celibacy or simply refusing to settle How patriarchy, whiteness, and slavery shaped the emotional lives of Black men The impact of porn, social media, and constant scrolling on real intimacy Voting chaos, political confusion, and realizing most people never question the rules Parenting preteens, talking about crushes, and not repeating our parents’ mistakes Feeling “over-inspired and under-nourished” by the internet and seeking solitude How to create a self-pleasure ritual that supports orgasm, not just fast release The connection between orgasm, God, trauma release, and real spiritual healing This episode is for women in their “I’m overwhelmed but still evolving” era who are questioning dusty dating norms, unpacking generational bullshit, craving real connection (with themselves, their kids, and their pleasure), and feel over-stimulated by the internet but deeply ready to choose softness, safety, and self-devotion instead. --------------------------------------------- Watch this episode and more on YouTube. Reflect on the past 6 months so you can refocus and get clear on what you want the next 6 months to look like. In this audio workshop Kelly leads you though a series of exercises that will help you reflect on the past and get clear on the future for the second half of the year. This episode starts with a freeform talk about why this time of year is ideal for a reset, then goes into guided journaling practices and ends with a guided meditation to help you plan your seed of intention. Reflect journal prompts What am I most proud of from the first half of this year? What did I say yes to that I should have said no to? What have I been avoiding that needs my attention? What version of myself showed up in the last 6 months — and is that who I want to be in the second half? Three questions to re-ignite with intention: What do I actually want the second half of this year to look like? What is the one thing that would make the second half feel joyous and abundant? What is one small, concrete thing I can do this week to move toward that?
