1. The “Schumer Shutdown” We begin with the ongoing government shutdown as the fault of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Party. They claim Democrats are panicking and have no political “off-ramp,” predicting that the standoff will end with “complete capitulation” from Democrats. The conversation includes discussion of polling data (allegedly showing poor favorability ratings for Democrats), arguments that Democrats are “weak” and “extreme,” and mockery of Democratic leaders through AI-generated memes that portray them wearing sombreros and mustaches. Cruz and Ferguson frame the situation as a political win for Republicans, portraying Democrats as incoherent and divided, and suggesting that the shutdown reveals the public’s indifference to big government. 2. The Brett Kavanaugh Assassination Attempt and Sentencing The second segment focuses on a federal judge’s sentencing of Nicholas Roske, who had plotted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Cruz and Ferguson express outrage over what they claim was an unjustly lenient eight-year sentence, arguing that it reflects “left-wing bias” and preferential treatment because the assailant was transgender. They sharply criticize Judge Deborah Boardman, a Biden appointee, for what they call “ideological” leniency, with Cruz suggesting she should be impeached. The hosts expand the issue into a broader critique of Democratic “soft-on-crime” policies and claim a cultural double standard favoring certain identities (e.g., transgender individuals). The conversation also ties the Kavanaugh incident to Democratic rhetoric, suggesting it encourages “left-wing violence.” Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. Snoopy and the gang are going for a ride in the new Chrysler Pacifica. And why not! They're ostensibly children, despite being something like 80 years old by this point, so there's simply no doubt they would take full advantage of the best-in-class technology and entertainment on offer in the well-appointed Premium trim or even in the luxurious, top-of-the-line Pinnacle edition. Why, I could see the entire Peanuts crew now, charging up their personal devices in all 3 rows, connecting to the available onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, and even streaming the latest and greatest programming on the optional 11” headrest monitors! Because whether you're on the way to soccer practice, visiting grandma and grandpa at their old lake house, or going airborne after a botched PIT maneuver because a crackhead in a neck gaiter mistook your daughter's My Little Pony blanket for a Pride bumper sticker, every day is an adventure in the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica. What if blockchain technology could emancipate us rather than just enrich speculators? In this wide-ranging conversation with Victor Vernissage, researcher, economist, and founder of Humanode.io, we explore how emerging technologies might transform our economic systems if deployed with democratic values rather than purely capitalist structures."Crypto is mostly about speculation. It's the main use case right now," Victor explains, cutting through the hype to address fundamental issues with current blockchain implementations. He argues that most systems remain "purely plutocratic, oligarchic, capitalistic structures where the more money you have, the more power you have," despite revolutionary potential for something entirely different. The discussion challenges widespread economic illiteracy underlying many blockchain projects, with Victor boldly stating that "neoclassical economics is complete bullshit" that fails to model real-world complexity. We venture into fascinating territory when discussing how blockchain and AI technologies intersect. Victor outlines four major possibilities: decentralized AI computation keeping conversations private rather than corporate-controlled; autonomous AI agents that can trade independently; governance systems for artificial intelligence; and new economic structures for a world where AI displaces human workers. Humanode specifically focuses on creating "one human, one vote" governance systems using biometrics to verify unique identities without compromising privacy.Perhaps most revolutionary is the potential for wealth redistribution through technology. Victor describes how AI agents conducting transactions generate fees, which typically flow to wealthy validators. However, with systems like Humanode, these fees could instead be distributed equally among participants, creating "not money for nothing, but money for something" – a new economic model beyond traditional UBI concepts. The conversation ultimately reveals that our technological future isn't predetermined. While current implementations often reinforce existing power structures, these technologies could create more democratic, equitable systems if implemented differently. The question isn't whether technology will transform society, but whether we'll allow that transformation to serve humanity or exploit it.Ready to rethink everything you thought you knew about economics and technology? Listen now, then join the conversation about building a more democratic digital future.Send us a text Musis by Bitterlake, Used with Permission, all rights to BitterlakeSupport the showCrew:Host: C. A stranger clowns you on live after your account gets banned—do you spiral or go nuclear on the grind? Justin “Danger” Nunley chose the latter, changing shirts in his driveway and launching a 30-day sprint from 3,000 followers to 3 million. We sit down with the Air Force veteran turned creator-entrepreneur to unpack the mindset, habits, and guardrails behind a 21M+ audience—and why three videos a day for five years was less about algorithms and more about character. We get into the real mechanics of creator growth: cross-posting strategy, learning from takedowns instead of raging at them, and navigating wildly different community guidelines across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Justin shares why he leaves “just enough” in his famous did-you-know facts to make you look it up yourself, and why safety at home requires firmer boundaries than most people realize. From SkillBridge to retirement, from Harley-Davidson partnerships to Waze Energy's veteran-first mission, he lays out a playbook any small business can borrow: become your own media company, tell honest stories, and replace legacy ad buys with creator-native content that actually converts.Of course, it wouldn't be our show without sports heat. We wrestle with NIL money's effect on college football, break down Tennessee vs Georgia vs Alabama angst, and celebrate the joy of a snow-filled Bills playoff game with your kid. There's even a beard-on-the-line rivalry bet and a quick detour into hitting mechanics—why getting the bat on plane early beats chasing launch angle buzzwords—because process scales whether you're in a cage or on camera. If you're building a brand, a podcast, or a one-person media empire, this conversation is your field guide: be relentless, be yourself, and let the work stack. For women in midlife, navigating the flood of “miracle” serums, fear-based marketing, and filtered influencers can feel like a full-time job. In this episode of The Skin Real, Dr. Mary Alice Mina sits down with dermatologist Dr. Rey Hamidi, founder of SkinSmart, to bring clarity back to skincare. They talk about why so much of what you see online is misleading, how to spot real credentials, and what truly works for healthy, radiant skin without wasting money or confidence. They talk about: - Why over half of skincare content online isn't based on science. - How to spot fake “board-certified” experts. - The SMART way to think about skin — focusing on fundamentals, proven actives, whole-body wellness, and professional care. Key Takeaways: Credentials matter. “Board-certified dermatologist” ≠ “board-certified physician.” Always verify expertise. Sunscreen saves skin. There's zero evidence linking sunscreen to cancer. It's your best defense against damage and aging. Over 50% of skincare content online is inaccurate. Don't mistake popularity for credibility. Your skin reflects your lifestyle. Nutrition, sleep, and stress balance all affect how you age. Start with fundamentals. A gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and daily SPF > ten trendy serums. Pair products + procedures. True results come from strategy, not single steps. Follow fewer voices. Choose one or two trusted experts to avoid overwhelm. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by skincare advice or confused about what actually works — this episode will help you breathe again. Want glowing skin? In this episode of The First Day from The Fundraising School, host Bill Stanczykiewicz, Ed.D., welcomes Abashek Bhati, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Bowling Green State University, to dive deep into the ever-buzzing world of social media fundraising. Spoiler alert, it's not just about asking for money. Drawing on fresh research, Dr. Bhati reveals that nonprofits who blend a variety of six message types (instead of hammering the “donate now” button nonstop) can boost their fundraising results by a whopping 96%. That's nearly doubling your impact just by mixing up your posts. So, what are these six magical message types? Beneficiary stories, mission-focused content, engagement asks, expressions of gratitude, goal attainment updates, and fundraising ask. While asking remains the most frequent (and necessary) message, Dr. Bhati's research shows that over-reliance on it can lead to donor fatigue faster than you can say “algorithm change.” It turns out donors want to feel part of a story, not just a transaction. The conversation gets even juicier when Bill and Dr. Bhati dig into the science behind why these message types matter. Want more donations? Try publicly thanking donors (which can lift giving by 59%). Need to hit that campaign goal? Posts showing you're just $50 short create FOMO that can spike donations by 79%. It's all about creating that “whirlpool effect” of engagement, where your message spreads further and deeper. They wrap with practical tips for fundraisers of all organizational sizes. Don't have a massive marketing team? No problem. Start by planning posts ahead, use scheduling tools, and lean on your board, volunteers, and existing supporters to build your social media presence. Because as Dr. Bhati reminds us, social media fundraising isn't a magic bullet, it's a strategic dance. And when you choreograph your messages well, donors don't just listen, they leap in.
An epic rant on how social media has changed so much in 2025. Social media marketing and growing an audience on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc - is just a crazy landscape. Would love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments....
Thomas Hughes, CEO of Appeals Centre Europe, explains out-of-court dispute settlement bodies (ODS bodies) and the role they play in the Digital Services Act. We discuss Appeals Centre Europe's first Transparency Report*, which provides an initial glimpse into how Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are handling requests from ODS bodies. We cover some top line descriptives from the Centre's first year: how many disputes were submitted, from which platform, and what types of content they were about. We also talk about 'signposting' and how the platforms are communicating their digital rights to users.*Just a friendly heads up that the report is 25MB, so you may want to download it on WiFi!
“Connection” was the promise—and goal—of much of the early internet. No longer would people be separated from vital resources and news that was either too hard to reach or made simply inaccessible by governments. No longer would education be guarded behind walls both physical and paid. And no longer would your birthplace determine so much about the path of your life, as the internet could connect people to places, ideas, businesses, collaborations, and agency.Somewhere along the line though, “connection” got co-opted. The same platforms that brought billions of people together—including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat—started to divide them for profit. These companies made more money by showing people whatever was most likely to keep them online, even if it upset them. More time spent on the platfrom meant more likelihood of encountering ads which meant more advertising revenue for Big Tech.Today, these same platforms are now symbols of some of the worst aspects of being online. Nation-states have abused the platforms to push disinformation campaigns. An impossible sense of scale allows gore and porn and hate speech to slip by even the best efforts at content moderation. And children can be exposed to bullying, peer pressure, and harassment. So, what would it take to make online connection a good thing?Today, on the Lock and Code podcast with host David Ruiz, we speak with Rabble—an early architect of social media, Twitter's first employee, and host of the podcast Revolution.Social—about what good remains inside social media and what steps are being taken to preserve it.“ I don't think that what we're seeing with social media is so much a set of new things that are disasters that are rising up from this Pandora's box… but rather they're all things that existed in society and now they're not all kept locked away. So we can see them and we have to address them now.”Tune in today.

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has been making headlines over the past few days, both directly and through the high-profile business moves connected to his family. The most talked-about development has been the landmark one-billion-dollar sale of Hailey Bieber's Rhode beauty brand to e.l.f. Beauty, with mainstream outlets like The Hollywood Reporter and Women's Wear Daily reporting that Hailey will pocket a significant fortune and stay on as creative officer, while the estimated net worth for Justin stands at 200 million, notably eclipsed by his wife's new record valuation. Hailey shared her excitement and future plans for Rhode on Instagram, generating tens of thousands of likes and supportive comments, which inevitably looped Justin back into the celebrity finance conversation as fans debated the power couple's next chapter.Justin's own business presence remains active, with established management provided by Edward White and public relations handled by Will Bracey. His contact information, including press and brand emails, continues to circulate among industry insiders and fans alike, though he himself has been more reserved in public statements lately. He's kept a tight grip on his creative output, following up the success of his album SWAG with a visible series of musical updates that have excited Beliebers, according to Hi FM Radio Oman. While the buzz points to work underway on new recording and content, fans are left to speculate on his next major tour or live appearance, hinting at deep creative control and the kind of comeback payday that his recent Coachella deal—reportedly reaching ten million dollars—suggests according to recent audio biographies.Bieber's presence on social media also sparked viral attention due to an alleged image showing him in a Turning Point USA hoodie, fueling rumors of a sudden political shift or public statement about the late Charlie Kirk, whose shooting at a public event remains a polarizing topic. India Times debunked the viral photo, confirming it was AI-generated and not an authentic endorsement or commentary from Justin. Despite swirling speculation, he has not made any public statement regarding Kirk or surrounding controversies, with commentators largely focusing on Justin's continuing journey with faith and how he shares messages of gratitude and spiritual growth online. His last major personal posts reflected gratitude for his family and faith, showing a man focused on stability, private creative pursuits, and support for Hailey's own meteoric business success. With a new era unfolding, Justin Bieber remains quieter than the headlines suggest, content to let speculation swirl while maintaining a steady presence on social media, keeping fans guessing, and quietly shaping his next career move.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
Accusations of Democratic Extremism Ben and Sen Cruz call out Democrats for using inflammatory language (e.g., calling Republicans “fascists,” ICE “Gestapo,” or U.S. politics a “supervillain convention”). They argue this rhetoric contributes to real-world violence, citing examples like the assassination of Charlie Kirk, attacks on ICE facilities, and other incidents. ICE and Law Enforcement The segment focuses on how Democrats describe ICE in terms linked to Nazi Germany, slavery, and authoritarian regimes. The commentary frames these descriptions as dangerous because they demonize law enforcement and allegedly inspire violence against officers. Government Shutdown Hypocrisy The discussion highlights Democrats’ past opposition to government shutdowns (using 2018 quotes) and contrasts it with their alleged role in a current shutdown. The speakers accuse Democrats of hypocrisy, noting they once said shutdowns hurt “everyday Americans” but are now engaged in one themselves. Violence and Ideological Conflict Ben and Sen Cruz emphasize left-wing violence, referencing BLM protests, campus antisemitism, riots in Los Angeles, and assassination attempts. They contrast this with what they describe as conservative restraint, claiming the right condemns violence universally while the left often encourages or celebrates it.
