In this episode, Adam Hill sits down with Ian Lobas, a renowned men's personal development and relationship coach, to discuss Ian's powerful journey of personal transformation. After receiving an ultimatum from his wife to change or lose her forever, Ian embarked on a deep dive of self-reflection and growth that led him to discover his true purpose. In this conversation, Ian shares candidly about confronting his deepest fears and insecurities, the mentors who helped shift his mindset, and how becoming his most authentic self saved his marriage and helped thousands of men worldwide. Ian also offers valuable insights on cultivating vulnerability, authenticity and irreplaceability in relationships. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: How to rise above imposter syndrome How to become the irreplaceable you Uncovering the fuel source and building a strong foundation Embracing change and owning your results The power of breathwork Understanding masculinity Episode Highlights: [05:17] How to Rise Above Imposter Syndrome To rise above imposter syndrome, focus on documenting evidence of your accomplishments and skills over time rather than emotional doubts, commit to continuous self-improvement through action so new habits prove your competence, and replace negative self-talk with positive self-affirmations based on objective facts about your character and contributions. [09:12] How to Become an Irreplaceable Man To become an irreplaceable man, you must do deep inner work to uncover the root causes holding you back. Examine your relationship with money, ego, and other factors defining your sense of worth or value as a man. Make becoming your most authentic self the priority through vulnerability and honesty about areas for growth. Commit to being decisive in your relationships by prioritizing your partner and family's emotional needs over other distractions. Do consistent self-reflection through journaling or other practices to maintain awareness of how you can better show up for your loved ones each day. Hold yourself accountable to positive change through measurable goals and track your progress over time so you can prove your commitment with confidence and peace of mind. [12:08] Uncovering the Fuel Source and Building a Strong Foundation In order to make lasting changes, it's crucial to identify the fuel source behind our insecurities. It can stem from various factors such as feelings of inadequacy, fear of rejection, or external expectations placed upon us. It's important to take a step back and assess what we're truly trying to tackle. Rather than blindly pursuing multiple coaches, masterminds, and seminars, we need to start at the foundation – addressing our traumas, childhood conditioning, and past experiences that have shaped us. By digging deep and confronting these issues, we can build a solid foundation for personal growth and transformation. [32:44] Embrace Change and Own Your Results In life, it's not about being different, but rather about shedding the things that no longer serve us, that don't work, or aren't relevant anymore. If you find yourself not achieving the results you desire, it's time to take ownership – it's 100% on you. You need to change your approach, because there's a formula for everything. Just like one plus one equals two, you can't pretend it's four or that it's Wednesday, so maybe it's three. It is what it is. Embrace change, adjust your formula, and take control of the results you create. Episode 306 dives deep into the journey of personal growth and development in both individuals and as a couple. We discuss how being a work in progress and how taking ownership of your own growth can benefit not only yourself but also your partner. One common theme that we explore is the idea of men feeling like they have no other value in the world besides money. We challenge this notion and talk about how bad behavior can become a reflection of fear, and how showing up as the man your partner needs you to be is an important part of creating a strong, healthy relationship. We also address the unfair expectation that wives need to do all the work in marriage and the assumption that women do not need us just because they are strong. We discuss how mother's instincts and trauma triggers can impact relationships and marriages and the importance of addressing these issues head-on. Throughout the episode, we stress the importance of communication and building a strong bond of trust between partners. We talk about how changing doesn't necessarily mean that your partner will automatically trust those changes. If you want to improve your relationship with your partner or even just yourself, check out our website and apply to join our community https://irreplaceableman.com/apply/. Are you a man struggling with balancing success and personal fulfillment? On this episode, our guest Ian Lobas shares how he helps men find their purpose and achieve their goals through his program, Men On Purpose. Through Men On Purpose, Ian guides men through a series of exercises and questions that help them discover their purpose and align themselves with their true selves. The program is action-oriented and formulaic, with a focus on eliminating what's not working and calibrating what is. Ian has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years and has successfully built and sold several businesses. However, he found himself feeling unfulfilled and realized that he was not living his true purpose. This realization led him to create Men On Purpose, a program that empowers men to free themselves from internal restrictions and constraints and live a life full of purpose. Ian believes that the mental health piece is addressed when individuals start to understand how their past, programming, and traumas have influenced their lives. By slowing down, facing their past, and aligning themselves with their true purpose, individuals can leave a legacy that's worth leaving. If you're a man struggling to find balance and purpose in your life, this episode is for you. Ian's actionable tips and formulas can help you eliminate what's not working and calibrate what is, giving you the tools to live a life full of purpose. Don't wait to start living the life you were meant to live. The Biggest Helping: Today's Most Important Takeaway “You gotta slow down. You gotta slow down. And you've got to face whatever monster you think is chasing you. It's probably you. It's probably your past. Probably something your mom said to you when you were six or eight. If you slow down enough, just for a little bit, to focus yourself up and really understand the path that you should be on, you're destined to be on, and you can align yourself with that path using formulas and systems with structure and support from somebody like me or you that can actually guide you down that dark path. You don't have to be scared of it anymore and you can actually change so much of your life and you can leave a legacy that's worth leaving.” -- Thank you for joining us on The Daily Helping with Dr. Shuster. Marriage is not just about two people living together. When you're married, you don't have a housemate, you have a partner that you have made a commitment to. Not just to provide for or take care of, your commitment also has to do with who you are and who you become. Constant personal evolution and growth is a must. For the first couple years of our marriage, I wasnt following those rules. In my mind, because I was providing financially at a high level and we were living a great life, thats all the contribution that was necessary. Yeah, I was a fucking failure as a husband and then the day came when Mere had enough. She gave me an ultimatum that hit me square between the eyes. It broke me and knocked me onto a course of deep level personal growth and development. The fact that not only was I replaceable in my marriage, I also realized that like most men, I was also replaceable as a leader in my business, as a professional and sadly, as a father. Everything changed when the fear of her being with someone else kicked in and I would have let her go knowing that I could have done something however I remained selfish and in my ego. It was beyone fear, I felt and sensed the immense regret I would feel later on in life knowing that I had the chance to make it better and didnt. So the first commitment was to me, to put me first in a serving way and focus on my growth while I learned about what she needed and who she needed me to be. In this special episode, my wife (Meredith) and I put everything on the table and talk about our relationship from the beginning. We are vulnerable and honest about the ins and outs of our marriage in hopes of helping every man out there to transform into their best selves and finally become The Irreplaceable Man & Husband that they need to be, the one their wives want to be with and the one their wives will never leave.. Yes, brother, its all on you! Now that we have switched over to The Irreplaceable Man podcast, you can expect 2x episodes a month with Meredith and I digging into a new topic that stop marriages from being amazing and stop men from being irreplaceable. Want a simple formula to accelerate your life? It's simple – and it starts with YOU. In today's episode, Erik Cabral speaks with Ian Lobas, the man behind Men on Purpose, a brand that elevates, recalibrates, and illuminates the people who need it. Ian helps people go from being replaceable, in their jobs, as husbands, as dads – to irreplaceable and feeling that feeling of what it means to be the most authentic version of themselves, loving their days and lives, feeling fulfilled and connecting with their kids and their spouse. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: How to make sustainable changes in your life Ian's eureka moment that shifted who he was into who he needed to become The purpose-driven formula Your mission is your vision quantified Taking accountability for yourself The three C's: clarity, confidence, courage Taking baby steps for the inner work Stop complaining and take ownership Episode Highlights: [05:18] How to Make Sustainable Changes in Your Life Because you weren't taught to understand your emotions and feelings, you have to go inside and change the internal wiring and programming. Illuminate first. Understand what's working, what's not working, who you want to be, and who you don't want to be anymore, and then what you need to do and what you need to let go of. If you don't get the results that you're looking for, go back and change the formula, not escape, avoid, and cope, which most guys do. If you want sustainable change, you must change the inside of you. [17:16] The Purpose-Driven Formula The purpose-driven formula is: illuminate + eliminate + calibrate = acceleration. This is designed for you to measure your growth, so that when the outside world hits around you, your money changes, status, or whatever it is, at the end of the day, you've got you. You care for yourself, advocate for yourself, and step up and stand up for yourself like you've never had before. Society tells us that happiness requires material possessions: a car, house, money. But in reality, you can be happy without those things. It's about the journey rather than the destination. Dr. Eric Holsapple learned this lesson after he chased what he thought would make him fulfilled - only to find himself lost and without purpose. But after some time had passed, he discovered himself. He realized what his purpose was - to serve the people of this world and give back to the communities. His goal is to change the world by helping everyone who needs it. It's almost like a ripple effect; when you help one person, they'll go on and do things for others too, making it a better place for us all. Do you want to find your purpose? Episode 255 is all about mindset. It's like a tool. How we react to failures, obstacles, and what others think about us, is rooted in our mindset. Mark Hentemann learned this early in his childhood. He first came about it seeing a book on his mother's nightstand, called the “Tough-minded Optimist”. Just like every child with too much time on his hands, Mark consumed that book over and over again. He remembered then that his life had begun to shift. Mark's had an illustrious comedy writing career, from an intimidating showroom at David Letterman to becoming one of the writers in Family Guy. It's a great story of a shy but gritty kid with some serious stutter into one of TV's biggest writers. In this episode, we're going through his life story. Mark brings a level of seriousness and discipline as a writer, and we talk about how that has shaped his life and developed his confidence to face it all. We learn all about his failures and insecurities, and how he overcame them to write for some of the funniest and legendary TV shows we all know and love. There are always such deep lessons to learn in comedy. That is why we treasure having similar guests because comedians see life for what it is. Maybe that's why they make for great mentors and coaches too. Our Men on Purpose community are filled with guys like that. What do some of the most successful leaders in history have in common? If you want to be a good man, a good husband, or a strong father, you must live a life with authenticity. Taking conscious actions towards becoming financially free can be daunting. Especially when you're struggling to find your true self, it's easy to become confused about what the next step should be. What exactly are these conscious steps? Joey Mure enlightens us with his perspective on the true value of financial freedom. It's critical to be aware of your finances and manage what you have wisely but the goal of building passive income isn't always what it seems. In fact, this is the very concept Joey challenges. The common knowledge we learned about building wealth through the current financial system is flawed. In this episode, Joey dives deep into the ‘wall street mind' that has taken advantage of families and separated the individual from their true self. The core of Joey's mission is simple and asks the most important question: Is it really financial freedom if the price to pay is your own self-worth? Financial freedom is something everyone should strive for. Money doesn't have to be something that pulls you down, it can be a way to lift you up. However, money isn't the only factor in financial freedom. Ian and Joey shares real-life stories that resonate for many family men that time spent with family (and yourself) is invaluable. Sacrificing that time on your way to financial freedom is the biggest mistake you could ever make. Your Money. Your Life. Your Family's Future. That's why we're here and what Joey teaches so well. Financial Freedom is a continuous and conscious action of prioritizing what is most important. It's a skill that needs to be nurtured and one that will return more value to you and yours. We believe in helping others reach their goals. Every human possesses the power to transform their consciousness and create significant life changes. Harry's own journey has led him to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for human consciousness and its limitless potential. He shares his profound experiences and the many different ways to gain self-insight. It's fascinating to listen to Harry share with such nuance and compassion. It's easy to tell how deep he understands these life-changing principles he lives by. Harry put himself out there, stayed open, stayed true to himself, and in doing so has given us a gift. Over the last decade, Harry Sherwood lived with and learned from many different masters, from monks, yogis, to professors, and psychologists. His well-traveled life story culminated into founding Consciously, where he helps people discover their truths and live from a place of self-awareness. He believes that insight is the mechanism behind our mental, spiritual and interpretative framework, and as such has developed some perspective-shifting tools to achieve this. Today he talks about self-inquiry and how it can transform your life. It's like a staircase to the art of true understanding. One of the many amazing practices Harry has created from his deeply personal experiences. Take time and really listen to what he has to say about this. That 20-minute portion of the episode has so much potential to change anybody. We literally mention it in the episode! Mike McCarthy has been an influential person to many in their growth and development. He helped others realize the depth and meaning that the legacy you leave is literally nothing unless you are actually leading and growing yourself to be a better human in order to show people how to be better humans. When you are on purpose, people look to you. They watch you. When you look at Mike, you know that he's committed and his integrity is so strong to his personal growth. What's more amazing is how he has taken this to the next level and helped not just individuals, but entire families to the same. Mike found that one of the most important things that we can do in order to be really effective and really realize our full potential is to actually focus on our self first. It actually helps us become a more effective leader in the world and to our families. If you've never heard these two words together—collaborative leadership—chances are you're going to love to hear about it now. Talking about teamwork and collaboration, and those life lessons that we picked up along the way is easy, but as a parent, it's just so different. Collaboration with kids just doesn't sound as appealing. It's hard enough already as it is to get two adults to collaborate, just look at the state of our society currently. But again, as a collaborator with kids, can you imagine? What does that even look like? It sounds more like a playbook. The idea is to create something that was a little more fun, a little more connected, but still allowed the flexibility to pursue ambitions and the unique vision of everyone in the family. We talk about exactly this, a playbook Mike and his wife wrote to instill values and collaborate at home. A truly meaningful way to leave behind a lasting legacy with children who become highly capable individuals. This episode is pretty much why we created this podcast. It's not often that you get to connect with someone who has a foundation in family, business, and community. From family values to development, to collaboration, this episode has everything that we practice in the community. Dr. Judson Brandeis is an award-winning urologist and sexual medicine expert. Today, he specializes in the emerging field of sexual health and medicine and is one of the top pioneering minds in that field. Kind of interesting that our topic today is about erectile dysfunction but you'd be surprised how much of that is still in the realm of personal responsibility. Dr. Judson Brandeis has a lot of men going through challenges with physical intimate performance and they need help. We're going to talk about how you can be both physically and emotionally intimate in your relationship while staying solid in parenting, motivation, and self-development. We're surrounded by modern medical breakthroughs, but the goal is to have as many personal breakthroughs as well. This is Dr. Judson Brandeis' medical specialty – sexual medicine but not just! His mission is to provide help to the men of today. Redefining the modern-day male about being a man in the 21st century. The trouble is men are holding themselves back. The ethos of ‘toughing it out' has not only affected our own well-being but that of everyone around us. When your relationship with yourself suffers, so too the relationships around you. This has led to many men seeing their intimate physical performance decline. There's so much about taking action and being self-accountable that we have lost. When we fail at that, we fail as a husband, father, or breadwinner, especially when we're needed most. There are no secrets. There's only excellence and being accountable for your health. It doesn't take a lot of fancy things to get started, just the willingness to take action, and discipline so that you can make those changes in your life. For too long, conversations about fatherhood have focused on what men should do. When in reality, we need to be focusing on what men feel. What are the unknown and unspoken feelings that fathers carry? How have these feelings shaped their behaviors? After years of raising his teenagers and being a parent, Scott Rammage looked deeply at himself as a father, and what he didn't see surprised him. When you look at your upbringing and the family system from a different perspective, you'll see that it was creating happiness, that it was creating trauma, that it was creating success, that it was creating struggle—which is what you're looking for to become successful. All of it is the variety of life that shaped who you are. It's not necessarily always good or bad, but it's important to see. Because if we don't understand what happened to us, then how can we control what's happening with our kids? Our children are humans themselves, growing more into the human beings they're meant to be, just like we all are, whether we know it or not. And that therein is the challenge: Meeting your kids exactly where they are at moments in their life. There are many ways about this but it all starts with yourself. As long as we live in truth, love, and sincerity — this is regardless of whether we think we've already arrived as parents — living with integrity will make life much easier for both yourself and those around you (whether they know it too or not). There are ways that don't serve your children, but there are no right ways. There's just the way that serves them. This can be daunting to figure out for any parent or father. Fortunately, you are not alone. There are fathers all over the world with similar goals that you can connect with in our community, join us and check out similar episodes like 173 and 209 In this episode, you will learn about 04:46 - Complain or change 06:04 - The worst part for Scott: having kids 08:24 - I sucked at parenting; managing emotions 11:47 - Childhood traumas from school 15:36 - Getting your kid to stick with it 18:23 - Discussing parameters and commitment with kids 21:31 - Protection and support from parents 24:29 - How to include struggle in kids' lives 32:52 - Handling failures with kids; the goldfish mind and intentionality 42:40 - Handling your kids' odd learning choices: not going to college? 52:43 - Nurturing your kids' GENIUS: Asking questions 54:24 - Are we rich?!; Building wealth or making money 58:43 - 10X outliers and fitting in the mold Connect with Scott Rammage on: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBsGPBAsXJY Connect with Ian Lobas & the Men on Purpose podcast: Email: listeners@menonpurposepodcast.com Website: https://ianlobas.com/podcast/ Join the Men on Purpose Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/themenonpurposecommunity Connect with us on social media: https://www.instagram.com/menonpurposepodcast/ https://www.facebook.com/MenOnPurposePodcast/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/ianrlobas/ Want to watch this and other awesome interviews? It's not trauma, it's a programming experience! So the question becomes how do you reprogram yourself? Where we go wrong with personal development is that we address our traumas with the objective to eliminate them. But in reality, this doesn't work. We are programmed by our painful childhood experiences and unless we work on re-programming ourselves, we make the same mistakes for decades, even for a lifetime. Paul teaches us how to cope. There's something lurking in the background of your life, destroying your self-worth, undermining your feelings of happiness, and sapping away at your fulfillment. In the vast majority of cases, the culprit is trauma. Some of the greatest revelations that occurred in people's lives weren't brought on by painting over the surface. In the episode, Paul says, we need to go to the dark place, our dark place, because that's what we need to address. The crucial part is, it's entirely up to us, we have to choose to do so. It means unpacking and changing everything about ourselves: our lifestyle, our mindset, everything. We need to confront all of our core issues so we can replace them with new ones: positive and empowering ones that take us towards health and happiness. This is where we start doing the inner work necessary to deal with deep-set issues like anxiety, depression, or any other challenges that are triggered because of something that happened to us in the past. We each have to be the programmer of ourselves and turn what we learned into who we are today. By doing this we become a byproduct of our own experiential programming. Life is seasonal, so is our mind. Just when you are in the best mood, life changes can take place. The state of our mind also goes through transitions. These can bring about some drastic changes to our behavior, cravings, and urges. That when unaddressed, can have detrimental effects on our overall mental health. Luckily, we have the resonant doctor himself, Dr. AB to teach us how to navigate these changes. So the next time seasons come, be it business, mentally, or emotionally, we can weather any transition. Life is inherently cyclical. Some people are very good at acknowledging this fact, others are not, the former is likely to enjoy greater success in life. But beyond factual patterns of life which recur in predictable ways, our minds are also cyclical in nature. But that doesn't mean our mental balance has to be as fickle. Instead, we can empower ourselves, charge up, and still maintain our focus. That means it's only a matter of navigating those cycles. Ever wonder how to easily prevent these climate changes in your mind? Well luckily, in this particular mental climate, we have you covered! More specifically, Dr. AB covers all the modern essentials of maintaining a healthy mind. He starts with a baseline of three life essentials, founded in neurochemistry and factual observations that influence our lives. We all have direct control over this. He goes on to supplement this with nootropics, sexual energy, and rebalancing all of this to shape a more fulfilling life with focus and discipline. More importantly, this all starts with self-awareness. The ability to know that something is off, be it sleep, nutrition, or even sex. The next step becomes about determining what needs changes. Seasons come and go but self-work is perpetual. The good news is you have all the tools and help you could possibly need, join other men on purpose, and check out these other Episodes 194 and 201 In this episode, you will learn about 08:52 - The second to look at: nutrition 11:16 - Coffee and balancing our energy 19:50 - Two kinds of sleep debt 30:54 - Cleaning the pipes and urge control 33:14 - Not just sex but also social media 34:52 - The selfish pursuit of distractions 35:23 - Charging up your battery to give back 44:58 - Proactive nutrition routine 47:52 - What is a nootropic 50:41 - The best nootropic available 54:10 - Best supplements to stimulants Book Reference (Books mentioned): Think and Grow Rich, Ch.11 Sexual Transmutation https://www.sacred-texts.com/nth/tgr/tgr16.htm Connect with Ian Lobas & the Men on Purpose podcast: Email: listeners@menonpurposepodcast.com Website: https://ianlobas.com/podcast/ Join the Men on Purpose Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/themenonpurposecommunity Connect with us on social media: https://www.instagram.com/menonpurposepodcast/ https://www.facebook.com/MenOnPurposePodcast/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/ianrlobas/ Want to watch this and other awesome interviews? We haven't had a guest like Gregory. A beauty and wellness expert and known for authoring numerous books and hosting TV shows. He took his experience and expertise in bio-health and wellness and took that into the realm of self-love and self-care. This is one of the most powerful episodes you can listen to, Gregory guides us with his calm voice into a world that anything can be overcome with self-love. Throughout this episode, Gregory has expressed a recurring theme: to make our lives meaningful. That all starts with our inner beauty. Easier said than done, easier to scoff at too but self-love is a long-lost and much-needed art in this perpetually lost world. Too often, we've become used to managing chronic stress and as a result, we allow ourselves to be overcome by fear and worry. We must learn to live from a place of gratitude. But how? When we can't even accept who we are? If we aren't satisfied with who we are, then how can we truly excel? This is the Beauty Gregory speaks of. Listen to your pain and heal from it. Because if you can't feel it, you can't heal it. Yes, we can give and help others this way, but we can only give what we have. And it all starts by loving ourselves. From emotional maturity, allowing yourself to feel and Beauty. Let Gregory mesmerize you with his cadence and ease you into a state of self-love. You can't ask for a better voice to deliver this message we all needed to hear. Men on Purpose do not shy away from self-love. We are open to our feelings and open to healing. This episode is all about breaking the cycle of parental childhood trauma. Many parents suffer catastrophic losses, traumas or even abuse at a very young age and subsequently go on to raise their own kids the same way, often with dire consequences. Mark speaks from personal experience and we can all relate to some degree, that even when we've forgiven the abuse, it is difficult to escape the cycle and it takes most men an entire lifetime to truly figure it all out. This is a very strong attempt at making sense of emotional damage. Damage that caused many men to battle it out with their identity. Struggling with our masculine identity as a result of childhood trauma is something we all experience in some form. How we deal with it, and how it manifests into adulthood is something we are ultimately responsible for. But there is a lack of education on the topic. Ian and Mark go through it all, from the internal tools, to vulnerability, gender roles, and allowing yourself to feel. The only thing more terrifying than living with emotional childhood wounds is allowing those experiences to negatively impact your future relationships. It's time to talk about childhood trauma and how the impacts are not being addressed. Mark talks about how men should be more vulnerable, the ultimate message is for us to understand ourselves and be honest. When we make choices to be honest, we take control of our lives. The more self-aware we become, the stronger our decisions and actions can be. Only then can we begin to move forward. Men need each other. And it's perhaps more important now than ever before. Today we have the tools and resources to feel and understand deeper. Tools that our forefathers did not have that have caused trauma and pain to be passed down. Angus joins us in this episode, as we seek purpose in incredible pain and changing for the better. Angus has gone through it all. An unfulfilling career, a nasty divorce, and every hero complex imaginable to men. We are more than familiar with impulses that cause deep self-harm and for the longest time men didn't know the reason behind them. Because of this, the life journey we take is filled with pain and anguish as a result of mistakes. And we did not know how to make sense of this, it never gets addressed, and the pain eventually manifests again. We repeat a cycle of failures simply because we did not know to address the root of it all: Who you really are. For centuries, men were told to put their heads down, don't feel, and just hustle. While this has helped build society, it has also caused generations of mentally and emotionally damaged men. We have an opportunity to ‘right' this today. Never in our history did we ever get the chance to stop and look into managing our emotions. The expectations of hustle culture in men have caused these traumas to be passed down because we never got to address them, until today. Angus offers a deeply personal journey that affirms a message that we all needed to hear a long time ago: It should all begin and start with Self-love. The money hierarchy has snuck up on us in this day and age, and we need to discuss why we need to guide the next generation and upgrade their level of awareness to it. In this episode, Jonathan DeYoe joins host Ian Lobas to enlighten us with crucial knowledge on how identity is viewed today. Jonathan started as a Financial Advisor in a Wall Street firm in 1996 - right out of graduate school. Jonathan started DeYoe Wealth Management in 2001 to simplify personal finance and help busy people live meaningful lives. Their dedication to first class service, the commitment to evidence-based investing, and a client first philosophy have placed their firm in a category by itself. Financial planning is not about money and the real benefits of financial planning are not financial. What's your version of success? Are you willing to go all in to get it? In this episode, Tom Fairey joins host Ian Lobas to share what he has learned over the years about business and life. Tom is a great example of how a super-competitive nature makes everything possible. He left his “vanilla” lifestyle on a little island in the UK and moved to the city where he worked for 15 years.. Tom is the founder of Stakester, which he started with almost no money, no coding experience and having never worked in gaming or even owning a PlayStation. Stakester is an entertainment platform that gives gamers a platform to add monetary pride to the online gaming experience. Through proprietary technology, Stakester acts as the third partner in gaming challenges to ensure payouts are handled correctly. Less than three years later it's the fastest growing competition platform on the planet, having raised over 5 million bucks. The company is worth over $70 million today. Tom and Ian discuss the distinction between success and happiness, noting that happiness is fleeting yet it isn't wise to chase a perception of success only to be unhappy. Do you make a conscious choice to check in with yourself and your partner regularly? The truth is that every day you wake up, you get to decide how you handle the stress and pressure brought on by events in your day or by your relationship. In this episode, the entrepreneurial husband and wife team of Ian and Meredith Lobas share the secrets of their partnership. They point out that communication is key and we need to be vulnerable without making our own meaning of things that happen. Although it might be hard to surrender to what's to come without a Plan B, this is a crucial test of trust. Ian and Meredith also advise individuals to be honest and accountable with themselves and blame no one but yourself for your successes and failures. After all, you have to put all the chips on you and bet on yourself. They remind listeners that it is best to focus your energy on trust and faith, rather than blame and anger, bearing in mind that you will attract what you focus on. There are tons of valuable tips in this episode, including the importance of giving yourself grace and learning one thing today to make tomorrow better. Ian and Meredith also warn that if your partner isn't willing to trust and grow with you, if they cannot take a leap and trust in challenging themselves, it will hold you back, yet you must allow your partner to work through things at their pace in their own way, as long as they are committed. At the end of the episode listen for your challenge: think back to the things that you felt helped you as a couple, like communication or surrender or faith and trust or genuine curiosity about learning. Do you have the mindset you need to break through challenges? In this episode, Robert Clinkenbeard joins host Ian Lobas to discuss how to be intentional every day and how unhappy business owners can transition to working “on” the business rather than “in” it. Robert is the CEO of The Radix Group, which has offices in Greenville, Phoenix, and the UK. Raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, Robert moved to Arizona in 1999. He is an entrepreneur and a four time Ironman. Having sold his $20M company, he now has several franchises, multiple real estate investments and the largest Peer Group facilitation company in the US, all while raising a large family. He is also a senior leader in EO and therefore understands the challenges of CEOs within growing companies. His book, ‘Ironman Mindset for Entrepreneurs', helps entrepreneurs develop the same mindset as athletes that have succeeded by pushing their current mental and physical limits. Robert has found that entrepreneurs who work in the business are typically exhausted and they take out some of their frustration on their family and miss out on quality family time, whether it's at the dinner table or sporting events. That's why he works hard to get them out of the business so they can work “on” it instead. If you don't have those people you either need to change them or preferably coach them into becoming key players. Once you have those players in place, they will need a roadmap and KPIs to effectively achieve their goals and manage the business. Wouldn’t you love to get your finances in order? In this episode, host Ian Lobas discusses with Ryan Clark, founder of Qube Money, how to manage your money with purpose. Ryan began his career in the real estate market, flipping five houses at the age of 18. Later, as a mortgage broker, he found that his true passion was teaching people about money. He is the author of the book ‘The Order of Wealth’, which explains a simple process anyone can use to create and keep wealth. As a financial planner for more than ten years, Ryan watched his clients fail at budgeting over and over again. He would recommend programs, but none of them seemed to stick. He saw some success with the traditional cash envelope budgeting system; however, they’d usually fall off the wagon when clients shopped online. That’s what inspired him to take the cash envelope system and make it digital. Ryan launched Qube Money to provide better tools, systems, and training to clients, allowing them to work toward real financial freedom.
