Open Q&A - From EINs To Trusts: Building A Private Financial Fortress & Winning Arbitration

Dream Keepers Radio

Send us fan responses! Paperwork beats myth every time. We walk through an end-to-end playbook for operating privately while staying effective in public systems: EIN-first setups, layered holding companies, trusts as beneficiaries, and documented cash flow that builds real business credit. Along the way, you'll hear candid wins, including arbitration results against major carriers for inaccurate credit reporting and the exact framing that turns “bad credit” into provable harm.We break down why treating all courts as tax courts changes your approach, how to get an EIN without a Social Security Number, and why the county recorder can be your strongest ally. The structure matters: multiple holding companies reduce risk, a 508(c)(1)(A) private ministry can serve as beneficiary, and a public-facing 501(c)(3) can make banks more comfortable. Private membership associations help legitimize inter-entity fees and create receipts that support funding and underwriting, while careful recordkeeping turns accounts into assets instead of liabilities.IDs and jurisdiction come up with nuance: tribal IDs, Palau IDs, private titles, and county filings are tools, not shields. We stress responsibility, informed use of affidavits and explanatory statements, and the difference between travel claims and legal compliance. The core rule is simple and repeated: you only control what you create. Build the entities, keep the records, move the cash flow, and use arbitration clauses the right way. It's not about gaming the system; it's about understanding it well enough to stand your ground. If you're ready to replace guesswork with process and hear what actually works from people doing it, this one's for you. What if joy isn't a reward for getting life “right,” but your natural baseline? Coach Mikki sits down with Sensei Nancy, author, life sensei, and founder of The Dojo, to explore what happens when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start remembering who we really are. This isn't a pep talk; it's a grounded look at the mindset, language, and community that make lasting change feel possible. The conversation turns deeply personal as Sensei Nancy reflects on her divorce and the identity free fall that comes when roles fall away. If you answer “Who are you?” with titles and tasks, this part will land. We talk about becoming someone who can look in the mirror with unflinching love, about declining invitations into unworthiness, and about picking rooms that expand you rather than compress you. Expect practical takeaways and an invitation to try a weekly cadence of reflection, language upgrades, and community support that keeps momentum alive. If you're ready to honor your gifts, raise your frequency, and find a circle where your joy is welcome, you'll feel at home here. Send us fan responses! The journey from selling plasma to generating $3.3 million in a year sounds like a myth—until you hear the steps. We break down the exact cash-flow loop that starts with $400, multiplies across multiple business accounts, and creates the kind of lender-ready activity that banks fund. Then we layer on manufactured spending, airtight receipts and invoices, and the paperwork discipline that turns “maybe” into approvals. From there, we zoom out to structure. We talk about converting your name into an LLC, adding a manager-managed holding company in a strong asset-protection state, and using that stack to separate risk, build business credit on cash flow, and report trade lines. We dive into 508-style ministry trusts and how families can protect assets, define succession, and strategically leverage tax credits. You'll hear why addresses and zip codes influence underwriting, how to use virtual addresses, where to find grants, and how to win with arbitration when a bad tradeline causes real harm.Mindset keeps the engine running. We get honest about leaving old circles, building new rooms, and using daily self-talk to keep your focus where it pays. There's even a practical travel gem: the XO app membership trick to snag discounted private seats when operators need to fill planes, turning flights into networking runs. Send us fan responses! What if courts act like banks, your all-caps name functions as a business, and the real game is learning to contract on your terms? We got together with Dom Kalam and Equity Mac to unpack the mechanics behind status, standing, and identity—and how those mechanics shape everything from traffic tickets to taxes to titles. The conversation moves from first principles to practical tools: Black's Law Dictionary, UCC 1-308 to reserve rights, and the shift from a default sole proprietorship to layered structures like holding companies, private family trusts, and 508(c)(1)(A) ministries. The aim is simple: separate identity from liability, keep clean records, and operate in the private with clarity and competence.Ownership becomes the bridge between law and technology. We dig into equitable vs legal title, deeds and MSOs, and why “possession” isn't ownership if the paper says otherwise. Then we connect it to the next wave: blockchain, tokenization, and ISO 20022 payment rails like XRP and XLM. With the DTCC exploring tokenized settlement, assets from real estate to equities can be represented on-chain—transparent, portable, fast. That demands better governance: who holds the keys, who writes the bylaws, who benefits, and how disputes get resolved. “Not your keys, not your crypto” reads like a 21st-century lesson in title law.We also share tactics for navigating taxes and capital in a system built on contracts: lawful tax avoidance via structure, cash-flow lending that beats weak credit, inter-entity trade lines, and using arbitration or audits to fix records. The throughline is education by action—read primary sources, learn the language, document your rules, and practice. Whether you're setting up a trust, opening a crypto wallet, or preparing for tokenized titles, this conversation lays out a path to hold what you build with true control. If this helped you see the matrix behind money, subscribe, share with a friend, and drop a review. Send us fan responses! Words decide outcomes long before a judge does. We open by reframing names and definitions as levers of power: who authored the dictionary you rely on, and what does that choice assume about your rights, your status, and your consent? From Henry Campbell Black to Daniel Webster, we unpack how private families and publishers shaped the legal language public institutions still use—and how that language quietly sets the rules of the game.We move from language to structure: public versus private power, American Jurisprudence as a private reference inside public courts, and why fiduciary duty matters. If public officers are trustees, then concealment is more than rude—it can be fraud. That lens changes how you handle officials, hearings, and documents. We press on jurisdiction and authority, probing oaths of office, emergency powers, and shifting definitions of “United States.” Whether or not you agree with every legal theory presented, you'll learn to ask sharper questions: Which law applies? Which capacity is being claimed? Where does my consent begin and end? Then we follow the money. The docket isn't just paper; it can behave like finance. Bonds, identifiers, and depository relationships suggest a market logic layered over the courtroom. That perspective leads to practical tactics: define your terms, build a clear record, request oaths and delegations, and challenge ambiguous contracts. If language is the spell, precision is your shield. We share tools to document fiduciary duties, demand transparency, and assert claims to proceeds where appropriate.JOIN DK'S PRIVATE BUSINESS CIRCLEhttps://www.skool.com/donkilam/aboutTEXT "PRIVATE LIFE" TO 702-200-4900https://donkilam.com FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD - DON KILAMGO GET HIS BOOK ON AMAZON NOW! https://www.amazon.com/Cant-Touch-This-Diplomatic-Immunity/dp/B09X1FXMNQ https://open.spotify.com/track/5QOUWyNahqcWvQ4WQAvwjj?autoplay=trueSupport the showhttps://donkilam.com

Send us fan responses! What if “public safety” started before the sirens? We unpack a community policing model built to prevent harm, cool down conflict, and open real-time channels between neighbors and municipal departments. Our focus is practical: live scenario training, de-escalation for domestic violence and high-stress encounters, and a notification framework that helps local agencies recognize who you are, why you're there, and how to coordinate without friction. We talk about how policy shapes police behavior and how community officers can complement that mission by stabilizing situations police can't prioritize—family crises, building disputes, and day-to-day tensions that simmer into emergencies. You'll hear how the program equips officers with scannable IDs, certificates for hospitals and courts, and guidance for notifying sheriffs and departments, aiming for faster verification and fewer escalations during traffic stops, welfare checks, or courthouse visits. “Peaceful compliance” sets the tone: non-threatening posture, precise language, and clear boundaries that lower adrenaline for everyone.Looking ahead, we map a pathway from foundational community work into specialized tracks—bodyguard operations, cybersecurity, counterintelligence—and a forthcoming community crime lab focused on both violent incidents and the financial harms that destabilize neighborhoods. The application process emphasizes character and fit, offers payment flexibility, and connects you with regional directors and ongoing education, including updates on court changes and tech like AI-driven enforcement. If you care about safer streets, fewer crises, and real cooperation with departments, this is a blueprint you can act on. Running The Relay Of Women's LeadershipA single moment can change the trajectory of a life. For Kelli Williams, it was being told to quiet down while advocating for her team—and choosing instead to walk out and walk toward her purpose. What unfolds from there is an unflinching, hope-filled story of teen motherhood, corporate firsts, a public breaking point, and the quiet rebuilding that led to a mission-driven consultancy, executive coaching, and a voice that refuses to shrink. We start with momentum—celebrating WomenVenture and the idea of leadership as a relay where each generation runs its leg. From there, Kelli opens the door on what it meant to be the first woman and first Black strategic leader in a family-owned manufacturer, the subtle pressure to assimilate, and the moment she decided her daughter's future mattered more than any title. She lays out how entrepreneurship began with no safety net, then found form through fractional strategy for mission-driven organizations, clear boundaries that protect deep work, and storytelling that gives others permission to speak the hard truths. The conversation goes deeper. Kelli shares a rock-bottom chapter: placing her newborn son for adoption at 16, finding her voice within the legal window, and the layered grace of bringing him home—joy, harm, and healing. Faith and community are constant threads, from Catholic Charities to mentoring teen moms to navigating seasons of parenting with intention. Her wildflowers metaphor reframes both kids and leaders: growth depends on the right soil, light, and care. Practical guidance follows for anyone considering entrepreneurship—pilot your idea, watch your energy, honor timing, and remember that a no today isn't a no forever.Kelli is now building Legacy Rising, coaching women and allies, speaking on finding joy through life's journeys, and writing Dear Daughter, a love letter to the next generation of women in business. Send us fan responses! The line between private life and public record shapes how you're treated at the counter, on the roadside, and at the airport. We dig into the practical side of tribal IDs, “tax exempt” language that actually lands, and the paperwork that turns a tense moment into a calm transaction. You'll hear real stories from dispensaries and hotels to TSA checkpoints, plus the exact forms and phrasing that clerks and officers understand without a debate. We go further by unpacking how to structure your world privately—what it means to use a credential instead of a state ID, why county notice changes the conversation, and how a trust, Motor Certificate of Origin, and private insurance can move a vehicle out of commercial lanes. If you've wondered whether a word on your card can trigger a citation, we explain why “driver” versus “traveler” matters and how to keep tickets off the table with clean documentation. We also cover responding to tickets and warrants with commercial endorsements, timelines, and default procedures that force agencies to play by their own rules. The standout segment introduces a community policing program with UN and Interpol alignment. Think scannable IDs and badges that smooth TSA lines, de-escalation training that protects everyone, and a chain of command you can call when a situation goes sideways. We're honest about limits: only act within your training, carry with proper insurance, and lead with de-escalation. The aim is simple—build relationships that make communities safer while keeping your private records tight and your language precise. If you're ready to navigate public systems with private strength, tune in, take notes, and bring a friend who needs this. Perhaps a gorgeous candle from a friend when you... you guessed it... got them nothing. Why is it SO HARD to say thank you without immediately blurting out, “Oh, this old thing? I've had it for 12 years,” or “Girl, it was $5 at Target,” or the classic Southern special: “You didn't have to do that!” (Spoiler: They wanted to.)Claire walks us through her brilliant “garland” practice—yes, garland, like the Christmas kind—and why we need to throw away the emotional tinsel that keeps us from letting good things in.Laura gets vulnerable about walking through a season of capacity and emotional poverty and how hard it was to learn how to receive from her friends. We cover:Why women self-deprecate the minute anyone says something niceWhy receiving feels like guilt, debt, or competitionWhy you panic when someone brings you a gift and you have nothing for themHow receiving is actually a spiritual practiceWhy receiving is the gateway to giving (and to healing)How to stop making it weird and just say… THANK YOU.Listen now and share with the friend who says “I don't need anything…” while absolutely needing everything.

Send us fan responses! Ever tried to “authenticate” your way to freedom and wondered why nothing changes? We pull back the curtain on the public vs private divide and show why certified copies, UCC-1 filings, and public records keep you in beneficiary status instead of true control. The big shift is simple but profound: you can only control what you create. If you didn't originate the trust tied to your birth certificate and Social Security number, no amount of authentication will hand you the steering wheel. We walk through the real mechanics of authentication and certification, the Cestui Que Vie framework, and how public filings expose your assets and increase liability. Then we pivot to the private playbook used by enduring communities and elite families: holding companies to own assets, operating companies to conduct business, and non-grantor, irrevocable discretionary spendthrift trusts to separate control from ownership. Private family foundations become your record book and governance hub, keeping sensitive details off the public record while preserving purpose and continuity.Along the way, we highlight the practical tools for building a life that is structured, resilient, and private: affidavits of live birth, nativity certificates, patents of nativity, tribal records, and disciplined record-keeping that assert identity without surrendering title. We also tackle tax exposure, alter ego risks, and why registration is often the moment you give up control. The outcome is a blueprint to move from public dependency to private mastery—own nothing, control everything, and let your structures, not your signature on public forms, define your power.Ready to stop chasing validation and start creating control? Hey lady! We're grown so we know there's nothing wrong with having a vice or two. But, what happens when that vice becomes an addiction? Analysts estimate that approximately 48.4 million Americans are addicted to something with 9.8% of Americans addicted to drugs and 9.7% of Americans addicted to alcohol. Addiction is a fact of life that many Black women have a relationship with, and many have overcome addiction through treatment, therapy and sometimes medication. But, before they even get there they start with a healthy amount of honesty about where they find themselves with their addiction. The peculiar thing about addiction is that one can find herself there without even realizing it, which is why this week Terri and Dr. Dom pull back the veil of addiction with a personal testimony about reorienting their relationship with addiction and science-backed, evidence based strategies to build healthy long-term relationship with the vice. Terri offers an authentic look at how she became addicted to marijuana and the gentle, self-compassionate methods she incorporated to set reorient her relationship so that when she engages it's from an empowered place and not out of necessity. Lady, contrary to popular belief you can become addicted to weed. And, if you are beginning to question where your relationship with weed lies, tune into today's episode to gain an understanding of the qualities of a healthy relationship with weed and what is veering into addiction. If you're ready to dive deeper into creating healthy habits and systems to support you living your best life, book a consultation with Dr. Dom. Send us fan responses! The line between freedom and friction is surprisingly thin: a contract. We explore how private family trusts, documented intent, and clear non-consent notices can change the way your money is taxed, your assets are protected, and your data is used. Starting with Gregory v. Helvering, we unpack substance over form and the business purpose doctrine so you can see why some reorganizations qualify as tax-free while others trigger capital gains. Then we translate that legal theory into everyday moves: minutes, resolutions, trustee logs, and a governance rhythm that shows purpose, not just paperwork. From there, we pivot to privacy. If you don't actively opt out, you're opted in—through devices, retail systems, and platforms that profile you by default. We walk through a practical affidavit of truth and legal notice of non-consent that addresses digital monitoring, voice capture, device intrusion, GPS tracking, and AI profiling. Along the way, we cite the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and where GDPR can still bite when data crosses borders. The goal isn't paranoia; it's posture. You raise legal friction, create a documented record, and shape how your information can be used or shared. Finally, we connect the dots: operate as a family enterprise. A private family business trust can centralize housing, education, vehicles, and core tools under a chartered mission, with fiduciary discipline and real oversight. Present as an entity in public forums, keep contemporaneous records, and align your financial structure with your stated purpose. This is how you move from paying like a consumer to allocating like a fiduciary, from constant exposure to measured control. We unpack the subtle signs of misalignment chronic unease, constant chasing, an inner no beneath an outer yes and why feeling clearer, not busier, is the truest performance metric. We dig into her simple framework: name a vivid vision, then empty the “backpack” of beliefs that fight it. Fear shows up for everyone, but it doesn't have to be the driver. Elizabeth walks through finding the root of a fear, reframing it with evidence and choice, and getting the subconscious on board so action feels lighter. Send us fan responses! Tired of feeling like the public owns your time, your data, and your money? We lay out a direct path from dependency to private control by reframing wealth as a family function instead of a solo hustle. The conversation gets blunt because the stakes are high: if you stay a beneficiary, you wait for handouts; if you become a trustee, you write the rules, document the purpose, and build something that outlives you.We start with the mindset shift—private life is common sense, enforced through boundaries and contracts. From there, we break down why family law is private law and how that changes daily choices around education, housing, vehicles, and even the names you use on the record. You'll learn the trustee's job description in plain language: control everything and own nothing, keep dealings at arm's length, and align activities with a written mission. We also unpack substance over form, showing how thoughtful documentation and clear purpose keep your structure credible while avoiding the traps of public debt and public liabilities. Then we get practical. We talk family business trusts, ministry structures, and LLC interfaces. We outline how to pair insurance with your trust so capital arrives exactly when your family needs it, and how endowments, archives, and charitable giving strengthen status and legacy. Throughout, we highlight nationality, jurisdiction, and how to stop defaulting into public terms you never wrote. If you've wondered how established families preserve power for generations, this is the blueprint—plain, actionable, and tested.Ready to step into the private and act like a trustee? Hey lady! We know that the daily onslaught of the news of these times can be distressing and difficult to ignore. There are genuine reasons to feel alarm during the current administration but we are blessed to have a deep history of having visionaries, luminaries, and trailblazers offer a blueprint of how to imagine brighter tomorrows.Octavia Butler is one of the most prescient artists of our time but her life was lived somewhat in obscurity, only coming to prominence long after her death. Yet, her writing gave way to world-building where weird, strange, genius Black women could write themselves into the future by being present with their experience. Dr. Susana M. Morris, a waymaker in her own right as a founding member of the Crunk Feminist Collective and author of Positive Obsession: The Life and Times of Octavia Butler, explores how Octavia's life circumstances, disciplined writing practice, and passion birthed works that offer a clear-eyed examination of society and culture while also giving full permission for Black women to indulge our imaginations for a beautiful future that includes us!Join Terri and Dr. Dom as they have a spirited discussion with Susana about Octavia Butler and her powerful artistry. While Octavia made it clear that she was not a prophet; she was so deeply connected to her dreams and words that she manifested a body of work that has inspired generations of future trailblazers and wayshowers. Quote of the Day:"Black women writers are necessary so that Black women can define and depict their own experiences rather than being objects in the stories of others." – Octavia Butler  Where to find Susana Morris:Website: Susanmorris.comBook: Positive Obsession: The Life and Times of Octavia ButlerInstagram: @susiemayeTwitter (X): @iamcrunkadelicThreads: @susiemaye    Goal Mapping Starter GuideCultivating H.E.R. Hey lady! You know like we know that sometimes we are…right. It's never about being right, it's just the truth that sometimes we have opinions that are actually right even if they may be controversial. This week, Terri and Dr. Dom offer a cheeky look at some real “hear us out” situations that will possibly get them cancelled. The two offer some common sense perspectives about things we may have been socialized to believe that are no longer true (White looks just as good in the winter as it does in the Summer) and some that we have been socialized to believe that were actually never true (sugar belongs in a lot of places…just not grits). Lady, tap in on Instagram and let us know which opinions you have that would get you cancelled (respectfully)! Simone Boyd and Andrea Tudhope, hosts of the podcast We Are North Nashville, as they discuss the power of collecting the stories of the elders in the community to create a beautiful tapestry of legacy, love, and pride.Inspired by a series of tragic events that occurred during the pandemic, Simone set out to capture the stories of the elders in her life before it was too late. But, as she soon found out the work was worthy but the emotional labor would take a toll if she didn't recruit help for her noble mission. Together, with her co-hosts, Andrea and Steve Haruch, the three embarked on a journey of bridge building, record setting, and community preservation that has led to a fulfilling audio project the residents of North Nashville can feel proud of. If you're in a space where you know you need to build community and you want to contribute to the community you live in but don't know where to get started tune in to today's episode.
