Work With Me 1:1 Coaching - https://ericrobertsfitness.com/erf-1on1.html On today's episode I sit down with Coach Judy and her client Allia, who has been through something most people never actually finish — a full bulk, a cut, and multiple stretches of maintenance, all with her sanity mostly intact. I wanted to bring Allia on because she's a real example of what it looks like when you actually trust the process across every phase, even when the rules feel like they completely flip on you. We get into what the bulk was really like mentally and physically, why maintenance might be the most underrated goal in fitness, and why having a coach isn't just about the program — it's about having somewhere to put the noise in your head so you don't make a dumb decision at 11pm. Joy, trauma, grief, healing. What if they're all connected? In this conversation, John sits down with Dr. MaryCatherine McDonald to explore what trauma actually does to the nervous system, why joy is more than a fleeting feeling, and how small moments of joy can help us stay grounded through life's hardest seasons. In this episode, Michael welcomes Master Mingtong Gu. Master Mingtong Gu is an internationally recognized teacher of Wisdom Healing Qigong, founder of the Chi Center and the Wisdom Healing Qigong community, and a leading voice in energy healing, mind-body medicine, and embodied spiritual awakening. Drawing from ancient Chinese healing traditions and decades of personal practice, his work helps people reconnect with the body as a source of healing, consciousness, resilience, and transformation. His latest book, Coming Home to Embodied Awakening, explores how returning to the body restores wholeness, inner peace, and human connection in an age of distraction and AI. Conversation Highlights Include: -A powerful exploration of how modern life keeps people trapped in the mind, disconnected from the body, and separated from their deeper humanity. -Why so much suffering comes from living externally—searching for love, peace, fulfillment, and healing outside ourselves instead of within. -An honest conversation about embodiment as the practice of returning to the body again and again, especially in an age of distraction, technology, and AI. -How healing begins when people stop resisting what they feel internally and start meeting the body with compassion, presence, and awareness. -A profound reframe of the body not as a machine, object, or "rental vehicle," but as a sacred expression of life itself. -What happens emotionally and spiritually when people reconnect with their bodies and begin to experience groundedness, wholeness, self-love, and inner peace. -A beautiful reflection on meditating in the middle of Times Square and discovering stillness, presence, and sacredness within chaos and noise. -The story of a childhood near-death experience, forgotten trauma, asthma, and the realization that the body remembers what the mind forgets. -Why healing is not linear, but a spiral of awareness, growth, detoxification, and returning to deeper levels of Truth and consciousness. -A practical framework for transformation through acceptance, activation, and appreciation—moving from inner contraction into embodiment, empowerment, and gratitude. Michael closes the episode with a guided meditation on presence, observation, embodiment, sacred silence, and anchoring Heaven on Earth through awareness.

Performance nutrition in elite sport is often discussed in terms of meal plans, supplements, and macronutrient targets. However, effective practice in professional environments depends just as much on education, trust, communication, and the ability to translate scientific principles into decisions athletes can act on under real-world constraints. In this episode, Dr James Morehen discusses his work across elite rugby, football, and combat sports, with particular attention to the demands of professional rugby. The conversation explores how practitioners support athletes in a high-impact collision sport, including fuelling for training and match play, managing body composition without reducing athletes to arbitrary numbers, addressing recovery from muscle damage and injury, and developing practical systems around game-day nutrition. The episode also provides insight into the realities of building a career in performance nutrition, including the importance of applied experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and learning how to coach athletes rather than simply prescribe to them. Kim Rogers (aka 'Worm Queen') is the co-founder and CEO of RogersHood Apothecary, a wellness company specializing in herbal detox and cleansing kits. You can purchase her best-selling Parasite ParaFy Cleanse Kit here. EPISODE SUMMARY BELOW-- I. Apothecary vs Pharmacy Discussion Nate and Kim discussed the origins and meanings of the words "apothecary" and "pharmacy," with Kim explaining how apothecary refers to natural herbal medicine while pharmacy refers to synthetic medications. Kim shared her experience going viral on TikTok in 2021 as the "worm queen" after discovering a parasite cleanse that helped resolve health issues she had been struggling with since 2019. II. Parasite Cleanse Business Journey Kim shared her journey from a 18-year career in Western medicine to creating her own parasite cleanse business after gaining significant TikTok fame when a video about deworming went viral, increasing her following from 10,000 to 210,000 in just two days. She discussed how she later discovered she had chronic Lyme disease undiagnosed for 30 years and mold poisoning, which led her to create additional health products including a Moldies kit. Kim explained that while she was a licensed medical specialist, she carefully avoids giving medical advice on her social media, instead sharing her personal experiences and what herbs have helped her, noting that TikTok later changed its community guidelines to restrict parasite cleansing content. III. Social Media Content Suppression Kim discussed her experience with social media suppression on TikTok and Instagram, where her content was significantly limited despite having 600,000 followers on TikTok. Despite the platform restrictions, Kim continued creating content daily across multiple platforms including Instagram, YouTube, and a podcast called "What's Eating You," with the goal of providing affordable and accurate testing for parasites, mold, and Lyme disease. She explained that her mission is driven by personal experience with health issues that altered her life, and she has expanded from a small shop to a 14,000 square foot facility while offering free educational content alongside her paid testing kits. IV. Kim's Health Advocacy Challenges Kim discussed her challenges fighting against Big Pharma, including being banned from 26 accounts over five years while building a following of 1.5 million across platforms. She shared her personal health struggles with chronic Lyme disease and PTSD from medical neglect, while continuing to advocate for alternative treatments including acupuncture, IVs, and red light therapy. The conversation included a detailed explanation of Kim's viral podcast clip about treating pinworms using scotch tape, which led to a broader discussion about the limitations of Western medicine and the need for comprehensive treatment approaches. V. Parasite Diagnosis and Treatment Challenges Kim and Nate discussed modern medicine's approach to treating health issues, with Kim sharing her experience of being diagnosed with worms and cryptosporidium parvium after catching them from water in Hoodsport, Washington. Kim explained that standard labs in the US failed to detect these parasites, requiring her to send samples to Mexico for proper diagnosis. She described the challenges of getting treatment approved by insurance due to the lack of domestic lab confirmation, and how her husband's treatment was denied despite the Mexican lab results showing his condition. VI. Lyme Disease Treatment Approaches Kim discussed her experiences with a controversial drug ending in "mectin" and explained the importance of using binders when taking it, as the drug kills parasites and releases toxins that need to be neutralized. She described how synthetic drugs like Iver work to break down biofilms and expose parasites, while also explaining her herbal approach that includes specific frequency-matched herbs to target different ailments. Kim revealed she was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2023 after being bitten by ticks at age 11, and shared her experience of having worms come out through her skin and urine. VII. Chronic Illness and Medical Journey Kim shared her experience with chronic illness, including being diagnosed with Lyme disease, which she described as creating a "mirror" that masks other health issues like mold, parasites, and heavy metals from the immune system. She explained how medical professionals often dismissed her concerns about unusual tissue findings during surgeries, attributing them to normal inflammation or scar tissue. Kim ultimately chose to surrender her medical license to avoid the constraints of conventional medical practice and pursue alternative approaches to healing. VIII. Heavy Metal Detox and Health Kim explained how heavy metals enter the body through food, pharmaceuticals, dental work, and contaminated water, emphasizing the importance of natural remedies like cilantro for detoxification. She discussed how Candida overgrowth can be managed with herbs like Oregon grapefruit and Usnea to prevent sugar cravings and systemic issues. Kim also highlighted the dangers of tap water, which may contain nematodes, pharmaceuticals, and heavy metals, recommending against drinking tap water and suggesting water testing as a preventive measure. IX. Parasite Cleansing and Health Effects Kim explained that parasites are widespread, estimating that approximately 3.5 billion people worldwide have parasites, though official statistics only show 60 million cases in the US. She discussed how parasites can affect health conditions like MS and how she developed her own parasite cleansing kits after working in medical research. When Nate asked about criticism from scientists calling parasite cleansing pseudoscience, Kim defended her approach, stating that wormwood has been scientifically proven to eliminate parasites and that many people she has tested have confirmed parasite presence. X. Parasite Treatment and Compliance Goals Kim discussed her experience with parasites and their connection to mental health, particularly during full moons. She explained her Purify kit, which includes three tinctures and a binder taken daily, along with additional products like a lymph kit. Kim mentioned their goal to achieve FDA compliance within two months to allow store distribution, and shared her belief that Lyme disease affects brain function, potentially making people more susceptible to certain influences.

If you've been told your labs look fine and something still feels off — this episode is going to explain why. And what you can actually do about it. Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist and FDN Practitioner Katie Hardie joins the Game On Girlfriend® podcast to break down why conventional lab ranges were never designed to tell you whether you're performing optimally. They were designed to catch problems once things have already gone wrong. For women entrepreneurs who have been managing everything, pushing hard, and wondering why the afternoon crashes, the midsection weight, and the middle of the night wake-ups aren't going anywhere — this conversation is for you. Katie and I talk about what chronic stress is actually doing inside your body while you're still crushing it on the outside, why layering more exercise and restriction on a stressed body tends to backfire, and what a functional approach to your health actually looks like in practice. If you feel like crap, good luck running a successful business. This one's for the woman who's done waiting to take her health seriously. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN Why "normal" lab results don't mean your body is functioning optimally — and what those ranges are actually based on What happens inside your body when you've been in fight-or-flight mode for years — and why it can feel like energy until it doesn't Why eating less and working out more can make things worse for a stressed body, not better How gut health connects directly to mood, sleep, focus, and anxiety — and why the root cause is often upstream from the symptoms The first step to take when your labs look fine but you still don't feel fine RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Fast Like a Girl by Dr. Mindy Pelz — https://amzn.to/3OE5p2b Good Energy by Casey Means — https://amzn.to/4u1AHz2 KATIE'S FREE GIFT FOR GAME ON GIRLFRIEND® LISTENERS Katie is offering a complimentary 45-minute consultation for anyone trying to figure out their next step. Have you ever wondered why your body produces symptoms like fever, inflammation, or mucus — and whether suppressing them is always the right answer? In this episode of the Science of Self-Healing, we explore Homotoxicology, a branch of bioregulatory medicine developed by German physician Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg that views illness as the body's intelligent attempt to eliminate toxins and restore balance. We walk through the Six Stages of Disease — Excretion, Reaction, Deposition, Impregnation, Degeneration, and Dedifferentiation — and explain how the body progresses from healthy acute responses toward chronic cellular dysfunction when its detoxification systems become overwhelmed. You'll come away with a deeper understanding of what your symptoms may actually be communicating, why early intervention matters, and how supporting your body's natural regulatory systems can make a profound difference in your long-term health. Whether you are navigating a chronic condition, supporting a patient, or simply curious about a more systems-based view of health and disease, this episode offers a compelling new lens through which to understand the human body.

Welcome to ALIVE with Fr. Jonathan Meyer. This weekend the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi—the Body and Blood of Christ. In John 6, Jesus makes an astonishing promise: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life within you.” These words reveal the incredible gift of the Eucharist. Where sin brought death into the world, Jesus now offers His very life to us through Holy Communion. In this reflection, Fr. Jonathan shares: The beauty of Corpus Christi and Eucharistic devotion Why the Eucharist is the heart of Catholic life A touching story about children counting their Communions How gratitude can transform our relationship with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament Take some time this week to sit with John Chapter 6 in the presence of the Eucharist. Allow the Lord to deepen your love for this great gift and to renew your gratitude for His Real Presence. “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” Discussion questions for this week's readings can be found at:

If You Are Exhausted, There May Be More Going OnIn this episode of the PCOS Repair Podcast, Ashlene takes on one of the most misunderstood PCOS symptoms: fatigue. If you feel like you are always tired, foggy, inconsistent, and frustrated with yourself for not doing more, this episode reframes everything. Low energy is not laziness. It is often one of the clearest forms of body feedback available. Why Fatigue Happens with PCOSBlood sugar instability, cortisol dysregulation, disrupted sleep quality, chronic inflammation, under-fueling, and hormonal imbalance can all contribute to the kind of fatigue that does not respond to more caffeine or more pressure. This episode breaks down each driver clearly so you can start to identify which ones may be relevant for your body. Why Self-Blame and Pressure Make It WorseThe instinct to push through exhaustion with willpower is understandable, but physiologically, it often deepens the problem. More cortisol, worse sleep, more fatigue. This episode explains the hormonal loop that keeps women stuck and why the way out is not more discipline. What the Body May Actually Be Asking ForStable nourishment, better circadian rhythms, smarter movement, improved sleep quality, and a reduction in the chaos load. This section gets specific about what tends to help, and why the approach of working with the body instead of against it changes the entire experience. What Changes When Energy ImprovesConsistency becomes easier. Food choices stabilize. Cycle signaling can improve. This episode connects energy to every other outcome women with PCOS care about and explains why it is foundational, not optional. You can take the quiz to discover your root cause herePCOS Root Cause Bootcamp WaitlistLet's continue the conversation on Instagram! A sermon preached by Rev. Ginger E. Gaines-Cirelli with Foundry UMC, May 24, 2026, Pentecost Sunday. “We Know Who We Are” series. Texts: Acts 2:1-21; John 20:19-22 Last Tuesday evening, I found myself seated at a table listening to live jazz in the nave of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC. The occasion was the celebration for my mentor, Rev. Dr. Serene Jones upon her retirement as president of Union Theological Seminary after an extraordinary 18-year tenure. It was such a gift not only to be in the room with and for Serene, but to reflect on her influence upon my life through her words, actions, and friendship. And when she rose at the end of the evening to address the crowd, she urged all of us to pay attention to the prompting of Spirit and to follow God's call on our life. It was a gift to receive this charge: to ponder, remember, and honor God's call upon my life and how Spirit has been falling afresh on me at every age and stage of my journey. Sometimes Spirit's meddling and God's call have felt aggravating, disruptive, heavy, and even painful. But, with every twist and turn along the way, God has brought me through and Spirit has stirred me to keep going. And the truth is, I didn't always recognize Spirit's presence while it was happening. Sometimes it was only later, looking back, that I could see how God had been nudging and guiding and sustaining me all along. Maybe you know something about that too. Maybe Spirit has shown up in your life in ways you didn't fully recognize at the time—in a relationship that changed you…a burden you couldn't shake…a moment of courage you didn't know you had…a conviction that kept growing in you…a grief that opened your heart…or a persistent tug toward compassion, justice, mercy, or love. And it makes me think about how we focus just one day of the liturgical year on the miraculous story of Spirit blowing into the community of Jesus's disciples and setting them on fire to move out into the streets to tell God's deeds of power. But, really, Spirit is at work in all sorts of ways all the time. I get it, though, why we make a whole day out of Pentecost. It is a powerful story, the church's origin story really, of the moment when the disciples realized that Jesus' promises would be kept—that the Holy Spirit would baptize them and empower them to continue the saving work of God in the world. That very day they did things that seemed impossible—they spoke in ways that people from all over the known world could understand. And in that moment Peter recognized and proclaimed the fulfillment not only of the promise of Jesus, but the prophecy of Joel. That God would pour out Spirit upon all flesh, empowering all to have visions and dream dreams and prophesy. It's very dramatic—like a sci-fi movie that brings unlikely people together acrossunimaginable odds to do extraordinary things—with the bonus of great special effects. And I love it! But I also recognize that Pentecost wasn't the first time Spirit showed up among the disciples. Maybe it was the first time they recognized so clearly the Spirit who had been carrying them all along. How else were they able to have the courage to leave their familiar lives to follow Jesus? How else were they able to go into villages and tell the good news and care for the sick and those struggling with their demons? How, apart from Holy Spirit, did they feed the five thousand? How did they stay together after the trauma and terror of crucifixion? And maybe that's why I love the quieter story in John chapter 20 so much. The disciples have had the wind knocked out of them. By grief, fear, trauma. By watching everything they thought was going to happen collapse before their eyes. They are huddled behind locked doors, trying to figure out what comes next. And then Jesus comes among them—not first with demands or instructions, but with peace. “Peace be with you.” And then he breathes on them and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” And honestly, I need to receive this right now and am pretty sure I'm not alone. I believe many people have had the wind knocked out of them. By grief. By fear. By the cruelty and chaos of this moment. By exhaustion. By disillusionment with the church. By watching Christianity so often get presented as domination instead of service, exclusion instead of welcome, certainty instead of compassion. And on this Memorial Day weekend, many of us are carrying grief not only for lives lost in service, but also for the deep fractures in the country those lives sought to protect. Many of us wonder whether the church can still mean something beautiful. Whether faith can still sound like Jesus. We need the story we tell today! John and Acts tell it differently—but perhaps they are showing us two movements of the same Spirit. In John, Spirit comes like breath in a fearful room—restoring peace, courage, and life to weary people. In Acts, Spirit comes like wind in the streets—pushing those same people beyond fear and beyond every barrier to bear witness in a broken world. But it is the same Spirit. The Spirit who restores breath to weary people. The Spirit who revives people who have had the life knocked out of them. The Spirit who reminds fearful people who they are. And only then comes the sending. Jesus says, “As the Father has sent me, so I send you…” Notice that Jesus does not come into the room and say, “Once you've resolved all your fear…once you feel confident…once you fully understand everything…THEN I'll send you.” No. The doors are still locked. The disciples are still afraid. And yet Jesus breathes Spirit into them anyway. God's mission doesn't wait for us to feel ready. Spirit meets us in the midst of fear, uncertainty, grief, and confusion—and sends us anyway. What does it mean to be sent by Jesus as Jesus is sent by his Father? If the accounts of Jesus' life are our guide, then it means that we, like Jesus, are sent into the world to bring healing into places of suffering, hope into places of despair, mercy and forgiveness into places of sin, comfort into places of grief, peace into places of violence, love into places of hatred. To be sent as Jesus is sent is to be bearers of God's life in the world, to put our lives on the line for the sake of justice, and to stand in solidarity with those who are hurt by the systems of the day. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are a people who are not only gathered into the family of God—those who “go to church”—but we are also, inherently, a sent people, called to BE the church all the time and in every place we are. Think for a moment of the life-giving rhythm of our bodies breathing in and breathing out. A healthy body needs to do both. The in-breath of the Body of Christ—the church—is the Spirit gathering us in to be loved, supported, fed, strengthened, and given purpose through sacrament and worship and study and community. Every Sunday or whenever we gather, the Body breathes in, takes in God's grace and power. And the out-breath is like the Spirit of God blowing out across the chaos of the world at the very beginning, bringing peace and new life. The “sent-ness” of the church is like that—the church moving out into the chaos and brokenness of the world to bring love, mercy, healing, and hope. Every day between Sundays the Body exhales, breathing the Spirit into places thirsty for life and hope and kindness. As the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley, famously said: Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can. I remember during the painful debates and divisions of the United Methodist General Conferences of 2016 and 2019, one of the pieces of legislation brought to the floor proposed changing the United Methodist mission statement—which is “To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world”—by dropping the second half: “for the transformation of the world.” I was aghast at the idea. It felt like a vision of discipleship focused only inwardly, as if Jesus followers were meant to crowd back into locked rooms and focus only on their personal “disciple” ticket. It sounded like a church withdrawing its prophets from proximity to the powers and principalities that so desperately need their voice. It sounded like a church trying to hold its breath. I'm happy to say the legislation didn't pass. Because the story of this day—the story of Pentecost, the story of the work of Holy Spirit in and through disciples across the ages—is clear: Spirit always exhales—sending us into the world to embody the love and justice of Christ. The way we say it at Foundry is “Love God. Love each other. Change the world.” And so I want to extend to you the same charge I received from Serene: pay attention to the prompting of Spirit who is always at work and respond to God's call on your life. Every day. In all the ways and places and by whatever means you can. And if you aren't sure where to begin, I invite you to decide right now on one act of service or outreach you will do this week, even small, for the wider community. Just do one concrete act of service beyond your usual routine. It could be running an errand for a friend who needs a hand. Or calling your state or federal representatives. Or paying for someone's meal. Or any other thing that Spirit prompts. Because Spirit has been nearer than you realized all along. And Spirit will keep giving you breath—and wind at your back—to move beyond yourself and into the wondrous, love-fueled mission of God.

Dr. Annie Selak (she/her/hers) is an expert in feminist ecclesiology. She studies wounds in the church, or moments where the church fails to live into its mission and causes harm. Racism, sexism, and the clergy sex abuse crisis are examples of the church failing to credibly be church. Guided by a feminist methodology, Selak integrates the lived experience of women with a robust vision for the church. Selak serves as a Visiting Scholar in the Center on Faith and Justice while working as a campus minister at a local independent school. She earned her Ph.D. in systematic theology at Boston College and M.Div at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Selak has over 15 years of experience in Catholic ministry, and her writing has appeared in Modern Theology, Journal of Catholic Social Thought, Washington Post, National Catholic Reporter, Commonweal, and America. Her forthcoming book, The Wounded Church: Tending to the Harm within Catholicism (Fordham University Press, 2026) puts forth a vision of the church in the shadow of wounds, guided by a feminist methodology. Selak argues that the Catholic Church must confront its own injuries in order to credibly be Church. Using a feminist framework, she develops a new ecclesiology around three wounds, racism, sexism, and clericalism, that actively harm the Body of Christ and distort its witness. Attentive to history, pastoral practice, and lived experience, Selak shows how each wound is both inflicted by the Church and borne within the Church. She offers the resurrected body of Jesus, scarred yet no longer bleeding, as a guiding metaphor for ecclesial renewal, a body that does not deny its wounds but is transformed through them. Drawing on Karl Rahner, she grounds hope in the reign of God while insisting on concrete institutional and spiritual conversion. Written for students and scholars, ministers and lay leaders, The Wounded Church uncovers overlooked histories tied to racism, sexism, and the clergy sexual abuse crisis, and proposes clear theological principles for reform. The result is a constructive, pastorally engaged vision that tells the truth about harm and imagines credible paths toward change, accountability, and justice. In this episode, Lisa invites listeners into a deeply human moment—moving from tension and anger into release, clarity, and embodied spaciousness after reaching out for connection and letting herself feel what needed to be felt. From there, she expands the conversation into self‑parenting, emotional safety, and the real work of intentional change, weaving in reflections from her friend “Bob,” insights from one‑on‑one coaching, and the powerful reminder that we must meet ourselves where we are. She explores the difference between drowning and needing a life jacket versus being ready for a swim lesson, and how raising our level of consciousness transforms the entire journey of healing, eating, and weight loss.Topics Include:Emotional ReleaseSelf ParentingStrategy Before SafetyShifts in Consciousness[0:32] Lisa reminds listeners about the free, live Journaling for Weight Loss workshop happening Monday, June 8, 2026 from 6:00–7:30 PM EDT (3:00–4:30 PM PDT), where she teaches how journaling and other inner‑work practices can support—but not replace—the physical behaviors required for intentional weight loss, offering an interactive space with teaching, experiential exercises, Q&A, and coaching for anyone who feels they're doing “all the inner work” but still not seeing outer change. [8:08] Lisa shares Bob's reflections on using the “bubble practice” as an energetic boundary in everyday situations, calling it a game changer for overwhelm and social anxiety. He pairs it with relaxed breathing and the reminder to “relax but don't collapse.” When learning about reparenting, Bob expresses the common resistance and unfairness of not wanting to be a parent that arise as we step into self‑responsibility.[15:43] Lisa highlights the limits of group work and the need for individualized pacing, using the metaphor that someone who is “drowning” needs a life jacket, not a swim lesson. She emphasizes that safety and stabilization must come before skill‑building; otherwise, attempts to jump from precontemplation to action—or to impose rigid rules like an absent parent—trigger a wise inner resistance. Lisa explains that the “inner rebel” is simply self‑protection in the absence of earned trust, and consistent, compassionate care is what makes structured change possible. [27:53] Lisa shares a college story where her dad reframes a dreaded oceanography class as a “test of endurance,” illustrating how shifting perspective reveals the deeper work beneath the task. She applies this to intentional weight loss: the real goal is learning unconditional self‑love, not chasing a number. Using the metaphor of the body as a “home,” she explains that it's fine to want to redecorate, but your worth must come from the shelter your body provides, not its appearance. Lisa further explains that change becomes safe only when love isn't conditional on the outcome.[37:28] Lisa explains that sustainable change rests on loving yourself even when you feel like you're failing, tending to the “inside of the home” while acknowledging that caring about the exterior is human. She explores a neutral relationship with the scale and reframes her aesthetic goals as “recreational weight loss”—something enjoyable but not identity‑defining. Drawing on Ram Dass, Lisa names wholeness as integrating all parts of the self, including the desire to look good, and reflects on how her own boundaries around body comments evolved with healing. Lisa wraps the episode by inviting listeners to join the Patreon community and attend the in‑person retreat at the Omega Institute July 12–17, 2026.LISA IS NOW ACCEPTING: One-on-One Clients!Purchase the OOTC book of 50 Journal PromptsLeave Questions and Feedback for Lisa via OOTC Pod Feedback Form Email Lisa: lisa@lisaschlosberg.comOut of the Cave Merch - For 10% off use code SCHLOS10Lisa's Socials: Instagram Facebook YouTube
This episode originally aired in 2025 and, as one of our most-loved conversations, we're sharing it again with you today.Today, we spend more time on the fourth kosha, Vigyanamaya Kosha. The word “Vigyana” means “knowing.” This layer is true intellect, intuition, wisdom, and higher awareness. Within this layer, one experiences union of Spirit, realizing they are a spiritual being having a human experience. We also delve into the fifth layer, the Anandamaya Kosha. “Ananda” means “bliss,” so this is our Bliss Body. Love, peace, joy, connection, and bliss are all a constant experience here, without any reason, and it's beyond just an emotion. Bliss is the experience we gain from connecting to the Atman (true self) without masks, opinions, ideas, or identities. We begin exploring another part of the subtle anatomy, known as Chakras. Chakras are energy vortexes in the subtle/energetic body, located along the sushumna nadi, starting from the base of the spine, or tail bone, all the way up through the crown of the head. The first is Muladhara, which we felt required its own episode, as the strength of the rest of the chakras rest upon this foundation.Muladhara translates as the root, whose energy flows to the rest of the chakras and sets the tone for our sense of self. Herein lies infinite potential but also fear, since all Fear is essentially about the Unknown, and the Unknown is also the Infinite Potential. A lot of our limitations are self-imposed, acquired through conditioning, so the muladhara represents the possibility of liberation when we realize we have the choice to change and evolve. Daily practices and routines, often the simple ones we mention in today's conversation, help strengthen our inner stability. Disciplines, like yoga asana, anchor us so that experiences don't lead us off path and away from our true self. A huge part of our inner work is with this chakra. Cultivating a base experience of Trust over Fear. This chakra represents the Earth element, and we hope you feel its grounding energy through this teaching.
