Aura Energy Ltd (ASX:AEE, AIM:AURA) managing director and CEO Andrew Grove joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion after the Mauritanian government signing off on the last outstanding permit for the Tiris Uranium project. The head of the country's radiation protection office says the Ukraine conflict could cause a wide range of catastrophes Residents in Germany must make preparations for nuclear emergencies, the President of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection, Inge Paulini, warned on Wednesday. In an interview with Funke media group newspapers, Paulini pointed out that “radiation does not stop at the borders,” and claimed that the ongoing military conflict between Moscow and Kiev has “made it clear to the general public that we have to be and remain prepared for a wide variety of nuclear emergencies.” Russia has repeatedly insisted that it does not intend to use atomic weapons in Ukraine and has referred to its nuclear doctrine which only allows the use of such munitions in a retaliatory fashion or in the case the country is faced with an existential threat from conventional warfare. Paulini also criticized Germany's neighbors who have not phased out nuclear energy from their power grid. “On the contrary, many of our neighboring countries are planning new power plants,” she said, warning of the risks of accidents at these facilities, which could affect all of Europe. Germany in recent years has launched an initiative to wean itself off of nuclear energy, with the country's Green Party pointing to the potentially catastrophic risks associated with producing it. The nation only has three operational nuclear power plants remaining after MPs voted in November to extend their operations until April 2023 in light of the ongoing energy crisis in Europe. Meanwhile, vice president of the Bundestag and FDP member Wolfgang Kubicki has blasted the government's refusal to revise its overall approach to nuclear power plants and has warned of a potential default unless something is done to address the energy crisis. “We don't want gas and oil supplies from Russia any more, at the same time our ‘green' friends are restarting coal-fired power plants, while preventing a reasonable extension of the life of nuclear power plants,” Kubicki said earlier this week. Dr. Dadachova is a Professor of Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition and the Fedoruk Centre for Nuclear Innovation Chair in Radiopharmacy. Before joining University of Saskatchewan, she was a Professor of Radiology, Microbiology and Immunology in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, USA, where she was also Sylvia and Robert S. The excitement of space travel can obscure the dangers, and radiation exposure is one such forgotten factor. Sarah Baatout is a radiobiologist who helps protect astronauts in space and minimize space radiation effects on the human body. Furthermore, there are several different types of radiation in space that must be accounted for. Conversely, there are several different ways to protect the body, or radiation protectors, to stop the damage induced by cosmic radiation. Yes, there were smokestack industries and a lot of steam as the industrial revolution built up - but nothing in the way of man-made radiation what so ever. At that time human biology and the Schumann resonance for our planet was roughly 7.83cycles and all biota on earth were all in harmony. It was not until the Soviets put a man in space that cosmonauts and later astronauts had to have a little power pack attached to them running this frequency because if they are removed from this frequency of 7.83cycles -  they will rapidly become very ill and eventually die. So other than lightening and the Schumann resonance there was ‘nothing’ above this, so all the way up to invisible light there was ‘nothing’ and all was in harmony. But now we humans have almost completely ‘filled up’ all that ‘frequency’ range or space, with ‘artificial, mostly digital signals.’ Like being inside a ‘low powered’ microwave oven. The Coming of Radiation This all came about via the industrial revolution that leads to the so-called ‘enlightenment’ as we found the atom once again that the ancient Greeks had mentioned plus electricity and radio wireless and X rays etc and with it came the periodic table - the understanding of wavelengths and today we now have a multitude of ‘layered’  (ordered) frequencies all around us at present. This has resulted in many ways of an unrelenting (unknowing) technocratic industry that has built up, but especially over the last 30 years, with a ubiquitous global enterprise of using microwave radiation 24/7/365. However, what this rush has done is that it’s having a knock-on effect regarding health - to not only humans, our families, but to animals, and pets, plus birds, insects, and trees.  Where it all started with innocence and unknowingness - since the end of the Second World War certain scientific groups even within the world's militaries have realised that there are consequences. That in more recent times the commercialisation of these radio waves has meant that a great amount of money can be made from exploiting this ‘medium’ hence the ubiquitous mobile phones as just one of the new technologies that are on the global market these days. Yet we are falling very short of ‘independent research’ done to find out the safety of this technology, however, Paul does tell us how the military took this tech to such a level that it was deemed by the US and allies to be the way forward using /national security’ as the reason to extract as much operability out of this expanding realm. He also says that the industry itself conducts its own safety standards and critics say that this is like having the fox guard the henhouse. And the big question we need to ask … w is why not enough safety information in the public arena? Electricity He also mentions electricity which scientists do not have a full explanation as to what it is other than we can use it. Research the battle between DC - Direct Current that Edison used as against the - AC Alternating Current that Tesla brought to the world - that today powers every home basically on our planet. Yet, there is also such a thing as ‘dirty’ electricity and that is the radiation that it gives off - even in the average home today. Which is being ignored by the Electrical industry as well as Government and health officials.    Paul says in his days at school, he is 62 now and when he went to school hardly anyone was ill. Maybe a couple of kids would pull their inhaler out after a run around the paddock, that was it. Now he challenges us to go into any school in NZ and check out the health of those children - stating that there will in all probability be over 50% having an issue.   Dirty Electricity Paul talks about a modern family home that he visited with various meters and found that it was overloaded with dirty electricity - that the two infants had been unknowingly living inside a wireless storm and were behaving erratically and waking up 3 to 4 times at night - even having video baby monitors. So after registering on his metres all the high amounts of radiation in the house they turned off the monitors and the power to the wifi and modem etc so that only the fridge was on at night etc - and within days the children became happy, healthy little infants. This shocked the parents - because they had no idea and this example is important no it is imperative for all parents to check out what is happening in our home and do it sooner than later.  Following Building Biology and Ecology guidelines are important. Especially for building a safe home. (this was an abridged piece here. Clock radios emit radiation beside your bed etc. - Listen Meanwhile academics and so-called scientists defer to archaic guidelines as well as with the deployment of 5G - they fall back on the WHO, the same organisation that is run by Dr Tedros with all its contentious connections etc, to Dr. Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates and all that is COVID. ECO - The word has been misappropriated The word eco in new buildings is being abused - it is more about economy than ecology. It's a star ratings system etc - = how can we save money - but doesn’t encompass health … (where are you at the NZ Green Party?)  CFL light bulbs - compact fluorescent light bulbs have issues and now we have migrated onto LED lights - WARNING - not good for your health - as it does not give out a balanced spectrum of light. Do your own research ….’white’ is not a native colour for LED. The human body is electrical - yes we are cellular, but we are also atomic and subatomic beings. Humans are exceptionally electrical in our own bodies far much more than orthodox medical Doctors will be trained to understand or that the conventional medical system gives us credit for. (remember we are an energy field of atoms harmoniously oscillating in time and space in harmony with the Shumann resonance and this new technology of LED - is oscillating at exceptionally high frequencies - (you have to listen to this. These latest light bulb technologies are not good for your/our health Paul says some people are more sensitive than others …  But at a basic level - we are biological beings and that electricity is part of our makeup at a subatomic level - so we are all being affected. So that the effect on our human biology is that the increased velocity of data - is becoming stronger and stronger and … even stronger - but worse and worse for the human inhabitants of this planet, not to mention flora and fauna and all biota inhabiting the biosphere. It was when radar operators began to die due to the intensive frequencies that they were experimenting with. But he said that this was not the first case of electro sensitivity as it all started in the 1890’s with the first case - when they started having telegraph along the railway lines that some of the telegraph operators began to become ill - Listen Plus the old telephone exchanges where the operators connected all the calls by pulling and pushing in plugs to give the connection - they too were affected by electro sensitivity and became ill. Unknown to Us After the 2nd World War - the Russians said that this new technology of radar was quite harmful and they went one direction and the US went another way, with the Americans saying that military superiority was imperative, for both their communications and weapons. That unknown to you and I, there was quite a debate between both of these two countries ‘behind the scenes’ and even today the Russians standards are 100 x less than the Western standards - and China as well - which means their technologies in their countries are 100 times safer than what is being unleashed on the Western world. So that those two countries that are not known for good human rights have far more stringent safety guidelines for their own populations, than we in NZ and Australia - and the West have. Aplicações médicas representam a principal fonte de exposição artificial da população mundial às radiações ionizantes. O National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements estima que a exposição à radiação para a produção de imagens médicas aumentou em 600% entre 1980 e 2006. Nos últimos 30 anos, o uso de fluoroscopia ganhou papel fundamental na prática médica, com aumento dos riscos ocupacionais em diversas especialidades. A preocupação com riscos ocupacionais relacionados à radiação envolve anestesistas, cardiologistas intervencionistas, cirurgiões vasculares, ortopedistas, urologistas e outros médicos que atuam com fluoroscopia. Além disto, toda equipe de apoio médico envolvida nestes procedimentos pode sofrer os danos relacionados à exposição. Apesar dos processos educativos e avanços tecnológicos terem diminuído a exposição à radiação, centros com grande movimento cirúrgico podem estar ultrapassando o limite aceitável. E de forma rotineira não se realizam as três regras básica de proteção: menor tempo de exposição à fluoroscopia, maior distância da fonte e uso de equipamentos de proteção. Em recente pesquisa sobre avaliação do uso de equipamentos de proteção individual contra radiação, evidenciamos que a totalidade dos entrevistados da especialidade anestesiologia se expõem à radiação durante seus procedimentos anestésicos, alguns menos de uma vez por mês, mas a maioria até uma vez por semana. Os participantes relataram utilizar o avental de chumbo sempre em apenas 43% das respostas, sendo mais comum entre os médicos acima de 50 anos e raramente ou nunca em 15%, considerando todas as idades. A utilização de óculos de chumbo e luvas de chumbo raramente e nunca utilizados em 95% das respostas. Os principais motivos ao não uso se devem ao fato das roupas de proteção não serem ergonômicas e não são práticas ou pela ausência de material disponível, segundo os entrevistados. Comparando-se por especialidade e profissão, os profissionais descritos como uso de dosímetros na maioria das vezes ou sempre se restringiram à enfermagem e técnicos de radiologia, sendo comum o uso raro ou nunca para a maioria dos profissionais médicos. O motivo informado foi por não disporem ou não saberem onde conseguir o dispositivo para dosagem contínua da radiação. O uso das radiações ionizantes acarreta riscos, que, contudo, justificam-se em procedimentos diagnósticos e terapêuticos. A consciência e o conhecimento desses riscos minimizam o dano, otimizando a qualidade das imagens e o uso seguro das radiações ionizantes. Em geral, deve-se insistir na educação e na capacitação dos profissionais e da sociedade. É necessário que o ensino da proteção radiológica seja introduzido já no nível da graduação nas faculdades de Medicina e serem mais frequentes na residência médica. Os hospitais também deveriam disponibilizar cursos sistemáticos para proteção radiológica do seu corpo clínico. Um dos objetivos da proteção radiológica é evitar o uso desnecessário da radiação ionizante, justificando adequadamente cada procedimento. Esse princípio estabelece que a exposição à radiação deve produzir um benefício suficiente para compensar o dano que a radiação possa causar. Todos os indivíduos que participam do procedimento intervencionista devem dispor dos elementos de proteção pessoal. Não há dose segura de exposição à radiação, já que mesmo em doses baixas impõem risco de manifestações estocásticas podendo gerar o câncer. Portanto a maneira mais segura de prevenção é minimizar a exposição para o mínimo possível. Structured Water http://learntruehealth.com/structured-water/   Healing with Structured Water   No matter what diet you’re into, experts have always stressed the importance of drinking enough water daily. However, did you know that water can be tweaked to maximize its effect? My guest, Dr. Igor Smirnov did that by inventing structured water through the MRET technology.   Healing Benefits of Natural Spring Water   Smirnov’s work started in the 1980s around the time when the Chernobyl accident happened in Russia. A lot of victims suffered from radiation disease due to the accident and had to undergo rehabilitation.    According to Smirnov, medical doctors eventually noticed that in one rehabilitation place, victims seemed to have excellent recovery results compared to victims from other centers. Apparently, they realized that a significant factor in their recovery was because the victims primarily consumed natural spring water.   Extensive research was then done at the St. Petersburg University. Smirnov initially believed it was because the water had exotic minerals or compounds. Another theory was maybe not the chemistry but rather the physics of water.    However, after further testing, Smirnov and his team discovered that there is a particular molecular structure in water. Hence, this was the reason why it helped cure the victims’ radiation disease.    What Is Structured Water?   “Structured water is important in human physiology because it has a linear structure,” explains Smirnov. “In scientific terminology, it has a polarized oriented molecular structure which was discovered in the  second part of the 20th century.”   Smirnov further explains that this structure resembles the structure of intracellular water in the human cell and living cells. Consequently, it means this structured water has a profound effect on the biochemistry of the body.    And because it is ready for consumption for stimulation by the cell, this particular structure is fundamental. Smirnov shares that it took him years to understand this concept involving the molecular structure of water and that it matches the structure of intracellular water in the human body.    Molecular Resonance Effect Technology   It took Smirnov several years to develop a technology to replicate this type of water in the laboratory environment. When he did, he named this technology, Molecular Resonance Effect Technology (MRET).    Based on MRET, Smirnov managed to develop different types of products. Some of the products include the MRET activation device which helps activate water and water-based products.    However, Smirnov clarifies that not every natural water can produce the same effect. Apparently, only natural water from particular places like high mountains in Russia, Tibet, and Himalayan mountains are the most preferred ones. Based on the studies conducted by Smirnov’s research team, people residing in those high mountains live longer.  Furthermore, because they consume natural water from those places, they are likewise less prone to infectious disease.    Physics Of Water   Conducting further tests, Smirnov discovered that structured water has effects on water conductivity and electrical conductivity. It was also tested on infected mice and found that there was no inflammation while their body was fighting infection.    MRET treatment in water or structured water apparently makes water a ‘super liquid.’ Hence, making it very beneficial to the body.    “It can penetrate and reach the blood vessel and cell membrane. In addition to that, it has positive physiological effects,” shares Smirnov. “This structured water also suppresses harmful bacteria growth.”   Cancer And Structured Water   Smirnov claims that drinking MRET water or structured water reduces the growth of cancer cells and growth of tumors in the body. Based on their tests, the lifespan of mice was 60% higher, hence making the death rate significantly lower.   Consequently, it was indeed proven effective on humans. During the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan in 2011, Smirnov’s team sent MRET water to the victims of the incident and had positive results after consuming the structured water.   The structured water likewise benefitted people undergoing chemotherapy from Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States. Based on their feedback, patients got less negative results from chemotherapy.    Some of the side effects prevented by consuming structured water are headaches,  inflammation, and nausea. Smirnov also recalls a chemotherapy patient from Los Angeles whose blood test turned out normal after drinking the structured water.   Hydration And Quality Of Water   Our body eliminates toxins through the water system of the body and delivers nutrients to the body through fluids. Hence, it is important to stay hydrated because water is sensitive to any physical effect, not just electromagnetic radiation. But the benefits of water is furthermore maximized is MRET-treated.   “Regular water is just purified water. This has no positive effect on the body,” explains Smirnov. “It’s good water, but it can’t produce significant natural physiological effects.”   Smirnov also cautions against any water or water container found anywhere near high voltage power lines or strong electromagnetic fields. Because the molecular structure of this water is ruined, it poses an adverse effect on our body.     “Alkaline water is good if you’re suffering from too much acidity,” Smirnov explains. “But on a regular basis when the body is healthy, your blood is supposed to be slightly alkaline, urine slightly acidic and saliva should be neutral at 7.0 ph.”   Smirnov says drinking MRET water, whether one is a little alkaline or acidic, helps pull the body back into balance. It is likewise not good to put any additives in water.   MRET Device   Smirnov’s device can treat two liters of water every half hour, and structured water can last several weeks. He also advises using clean water before using the device.    He also stresses that MRET is not a filtration technology but rather an activation technology. Hence, if the water is not pure, you have to use filtration first to remove metals or organic particles.   “MRET water has an excellent anti-oxidant effect. When we conducted testing on plants, the MRET water significantly made the leaves grow faster,” claimed Smirnov.     Can we cook with this water? Yes, we can! Smirnov says the structure of the water only gets ruined if it reaches boiling point.    Apparently, the taste of food and drinks changes when you use structured water. Smirnov had a partner in Taiwan who happened to be a tea ceremony master. Using structured water, he claimed that the tea tasted better.    In another case, another acquaintance in Singapore treated cheap wine with the MRET device and claimed it also tasted better. Now that’s fantastic!   Wave Rider   Apart from the MRET technology, Smirnov also developed products which help eliminate the adverse effect of electromagnetic radiation on human body. This device protects the human body against electromagnetic radiation from cellphones, computers, laptops, microwaves, tv, and wi-fi.   According to Smirnov, the Wave Rider helps restore the brain to normal function and sleep patterns improve. This is because the device protects individuals within a 30-meter radius device and changes the structure of the electromagnetic field.   “The healthy life begins with safe and clean Food, Water, Air and no electromagnetic smog,” said Smirnov. “My mission statement is to keep developing new technologies that can help improve our lifestyle.”   Bio Dr. Igor Smirnov graduated from St. Petersburg Naval Academy in 1975, Faculty of Nuclear Physics (Fission Reactors) and Engineering with a Master’s of Science degree in mechanical engineering. Continuing his education into the next decade, he was actively involved in advanced research regarding the effects of low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations (EMFs) on human cellular physiology at St. Petersburg State University, graduating in 1986 with his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.    His advanced research and study of the psychosomatic development of children swimming in infancy were conducted at St. Petersburg Children Hospital. Since August 6, 1945, when the Enola Gay dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the world has been aware of the awesome force that nuclear science could unleash. Using that force for energy production proved that nuclear technology could improve our lives, but nuclear energy has had a hard time shaking its association with destruction, and the catastrophes at Three Mile Island (1979), Chernobyl (1986) & Fukushima (2011), have only heightened public concern over the safety of nuclear power.  In other words, nuclear power has a bad rap. But does it deserve it?  Not according to scientists Jim Clarke and Steve Krahn of Vanderbilt University. Both men have distinguished careers working in nuclear energy that have spanned half the history of nuclear power. In this episode of The Road to Now, Jim and Steve break down the risks and rewards of using nuclear energy, and argue that the public response to Three Mile Island and other spectacular events may have led us to poor conclusions about how we produce energy. They also remind us that nuclear energy produces no carbon, which makes it particularly valuable in the age of global warming.  Dr. Jim Clarke is Professor of the Practice of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Vanderbilt University. Jim has served as an advisor to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is currently on the NRC Advisory Committee for Reactor Safeguards and its subcommittee on Radiation Protection and Nuclear Materials. He has over 35 years of professional experience with approximately 150 publications and presentations.  Dr. Steven Krahn is Professor of the Practice of Nuclear Environmental Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He has more than 30 years of experience in his field and previously served in the U. S. Host: Chris Mooney When the devastating earthquake and tsunami struck Japan last month, it left behind not only mass destruction, but also a nuclear crisis that was covered 24-7 by the international media.  Since then, we've been embroiled in a huge debate about nuclear policy—should there be a "Nuclear Renaissance" in the United States, or should we put it on hold? A central issue underlying all this is the scientific question of risk. How dangerous is radiation, anyway? Do we overreact to reactors?  To tackle that question, we turned to two different guests. One is one of the world's foremost experts on radiation exposure and its health consequences; the other is a journalist who's done a new book about why we often misperceive risk, to our own detriment. David Brenner is the director of the Center for Radiological Research at Columbia University. His research focuses on understanding the effects of radiation, at both high and low doses, on living systems, and he has published more than 200 papers in the peer-reviewed scientific literature. Dr. Brenner was the recipient of the 1991 Radiation Research Society Annual Research Award, and the 1992 National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements Award for Radiation Protection in Medicine.  David Ropeik is an author, consultant, and speaker on risk communication and risk perception, and an instructor in the Harvard University School of Education, Environmental Management program. He's the author of the 2010 book How Risky is it Really? Why Our Fears Don't Always Match the Facts.

Recommendations by NCRP and ICRP for a selective increase of the quality factor for neutrons have not been implemented in the practice of radiation protection, but have added urgency to the search for a more consistent new convention on quality factors. In response to this need, a liaison group of ICRP and ICRU has proposed numerical changes, but also a replacement of the reference parameter LET by the microdosimetric variable lineal energy. This would make quality factors and dose equivalents measurable, but would make computations more complicated. To resolve the dilemma, it is proposed to use an equivalence relation between lineal energy and LET which leads to nearly identical definitions whenever one deals with charged particles of sufficiently long range, For photons below 200 keV and for neutrons below 0.5 MeV, the equivalence is imperfect, but it may, even in these cases, be acceptable for the practical purposes of radiation protection.
