It had been a harrowing few years. 1964's Freedom Summer had been successful in rallying more Americans to support Civil Rights but also sparked extreme backlash that resulted in volunteers being beaten, harassed, and even killed. You think you need more leads. Brenda Marie Sheldrake says you're wrong - and she can prove it.Candy Motzek sits down with Brenda Marie Sheldrake, the Biz Leads Expert, best-selling author, and recipient of the 2022 Women of Worth Award. Brenda helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses through real relationship building - the kind that turns connections into clients and collaborations into growth. In this conversation, Brenda shares who she's really built her business to serve: entrepreneurs who pivoted. People who were great at something, got told they should make a business out of it, and then discovered nobody mentioned the bookkeeping, the marketing, the social media, or the loneliness.Brenda has a statistic that stops people cold. Every hour of every day, at least one entrepreneur closes their doors, gives up, and goes back to a job. Not because they weren't capable. Because they ran out of support and forgot their why. You'll hear the two questions Brenda asks every struggling entrepreneur - the superpower question and the kryptonite question - and why that combination moves someone from hopeless to hopeful faster than almost anything else. Send us Fan MailMost messages aimed at young men today split into two dead ends: become a sensitive, apologetic non-threat, or go to war and reclaim dominance. Zan thinks both camps hold a fragment of truth and neither offers a boy anything to actually hope for — which is why, more and more, he finds himself wanting to talk to thirteen-to-eighteen-year-olds instead of grown men.In this episode, Jordan asks Zan directly: what's the message? What do you actually say to a generation of boys who've been told their masculinity is the problem, who are retreating to their rooms, whose only two options seem to be surrender or rage?Zan's answer moves through some of the widest philosophical territory this podcast has covered — the concept of worship, stripped from religion and rebuilt around beauty itself. Petrarch and Dante, both of whom had their entire life's work ignited by seeing a woman he barely knew. The 1,500-year-old volcanic winter that blacked out the sun across Europe, and how people found meaning through it anyway. The uniculture problem — why knowing about every disaster on Earth simultaneously might be worse for the human nervous system than knowing only what happened in your own village. And a genuinely moving true story: a twelve-year-old boy, a short walk to a candy store, and one sentence from Zan that a mother said changed her son for weeks afterward.Watch until the end for what Zan calls the real message underneath everything — not optimism, not denial, but gratitude for what you have precisely because it won't last.
Welcome to another inspiring episode of The Temple of Surf Podcast. This week, I am joined by Christina Gindl, Austrian big wave surfer, ocean adventurer, filmmaker, and one of the most inspiring voices in modern surfing. Born in the Austrian mountains, Christina's path to surfing was anything but conventional. After moving abroad and discovering life on the ocean, she fell in love with surfing, eventually settling in Portugal, where she has become known for charging some of the Atlantic's most powerful waves, including the legendary breaks around Nazaré and Ericeira. Today, she is also an accomplished freediver, storyteller, and filmmaker, constantly exploring the relationship between fear, resilience, and the ocean. In this episode, we dive into Christina's remarkable journey—from growing up far from the sea to becoming one of Europe's most respected female big wave surfers. We discuss what it takes to prepare mentally and physically for giant waves, why fear can become one of our greatest teachers, and how surfing continues to shape her outlook on life. We also explore her passion for freediving, the importance of breathing techniques, and the unique connection between body and mind when facing the immense power of the ocean. Christina shares how these experiences have helped her grow both as an athlete and as a person, reminding us that the biggest battles often happen within ourselves. The conversation also touches on creativity and storytelling. Through her latest documentary project, Christina invites viewers beyond the spectacular images of giant waves, revealing the emotional and personal challenges that come with pursuing an extraordinary life. Her work offers an honest perspective on identity, recovery, and the resilience required to return after setbacks. Whether you're passionate about big wave surfing, surf culture, ocean exploration, freediving, or simply enjoy hearing inspiring life stories, this episode is filled with valuable insights and unforgettable experiences. Topics include: • Big wave surfing • Nazaré and Portugal's powerful coastline • Fear and mental preparation • Freediving and breathwork • Surf travel • Ocean conservation • Surf filmmaking • Resilience and personal growth • Women's surfing • Living a life guided by passion At The Temple of Surf Podcast, our mission is to preserve and celebrate the stories of the people who continue to shape surfing around the world. Christina Gindl represents a new generation of waterwomen who combine athletic performance, creativity, and a deep respect for the ocean. If you enjoyed this conversation, please subscribe to the channel, leave a comment, and share this episode with fellow surfers and ocean lovers. Some athletes spend years preparing for their breakthrough. Bisola Arowolo made hers happen in just a few seasons. In this episode of SportsLifeTalk's You Got Next, we sit down with one of the fastest-rising names in girls basketball, high school basketball recruiting, and the future of women's basketball. From picking up a basketball for the first time in eighth grade to becoming a Top 100 prospect, earning Team USA U17 Trials invitations, and shining on the Nike EYBL circuit, Bisola's journey proves that hard work can accelerate dreams faster than anyone expects. Representing Frisco Emerson High School and competing with Cy Fair Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, Bisola has quickly become one of the most versatile guards in the country. At 6-foot, she can defend multiple positions, attack the basket with confidence, rebound at a high level, and score from all three levels. Whether she's leading the fast break, creating offense off the dribble, or making winning plays on defense, her game is built on effort, athleticism, and relentless competitiveness. One of the most inspiring parts of this conversation is hearing how quickly everything happened. Unlike many elite prospects who started playing as toddlers, Bisola didn't begin playing basketball until eighth grade after years of playing soccer. What started as a suggestion from a middle school coach quickly became a passion. Through consistent work, countless hours in the gym, and a commitment to improving every day, she transformed herself into one of the nation's premier Class of 2027 prospects.Throughout the episode, Bisola talks about the importance of staying positive. Anyone who has watched her play knows she's almost always smiling, and she explains that her outlook on life is rooted in gratitude. Whether she's winning, facing adversity, or simply competing, she believes there's always something to be thankful for. That positive mindset has become one of the defining characteristics of both her game and her personality.Listeners also get an inside look at what it was like attending the USA Basketball U17 National Team Trials. Surrounded by many of the nation's top players, Bisola embraced the opportunity to compete, learn, and build relationships with athletes from across the country. Rather than feeling intimidated, she viewed every workout and every practice as another opportunity to grow.Family has played a major role in Bisola's development. Growing up with two older brothers helped shape her toughness and competitive spirit, while her parents have supported every step of her basketball journey. She also credits her trainer, coaches, and teammates for helping her continue to improve while staying focused on becoming the best version of herself. As recruiting continues, Bisola already knows what she's looking for at the next level. She wants a school where she connects with the coaching staff, builds strong relationships with teammates, enjoys the community around campus, and can prepare for life after basketball. She also shares her interest in studying business or a health-related field while continuing to chase her dream of playing professionally. This episode is filled with valuable lessons for athletes, parents, coaches, and basketball fans who love discovering tomorrow's stars before the rest of the world catches on. Bisola's story reminds us that rankings don't define greatness. Consistency, character, resilience, and a willingness to outwork everyone else are what truly separate elite athletes. If you enjoy conversations like this, consider supporting our 4 Quarters Program. In this episode, Dr. K unpacks the growing phenomenon of "femcels" and the hidden traps of modern dating. Reacting to a viewer struggling with anxious attachment and limerence, he explains why setting impossible "romcom" standards destroys real-world connection and breaks down the psychological danger of feeding your mind a toxic internet diet. What to expect in this episode: The Myth of "Happily Ever After": Why finding a "soulmate" isn't the finish line, but merely the "seed" that requires years of active cultivation to actually grow into a healthy relationship. Fantasy vs. Reality: How anxious attachment and limerence cause people to fall in love with an idealized projection rather than a flawed, real human being, making it impossible for ordinary partners to measure up. The "Diet of the Mind": Why obsessively consuming "pinkpilled" content, toxic relationship advice, or deep dives into romantic tropes acts as highly processed junk food for your brain, fundamentally altering how you perceive love. Algorithm-Driven Loneliness: Understanding the internet's intense selection bias—why people in happy relationships aren't the ones posting on venting forums, which allows the algorithm to feed you an artificially negative view of the dating pool. The Psychology of Limerence: A deep dive into how childhood dynamics—such as having withholding parents but experiencing one perfect moment of care from a distant third party—create a lifelong, doomed search for a flawless romantic savior. Translating Love: Why relationships often fail not from a lack of care, but from a "communication gap" where partners fail to understand the specific "packages" (like gifts, physical touch, or acts of service) in which the other person has been taught to give and receive affection. Karen Martel grew up with a front row seat to diet culture most of us only felt secondhand. Her mom didn't just live it, she ran a weight loss center. Butter was called Vaseline. Popcorn was the enemy. And by her teenage years, Karen was deep in an eating disorder that would shape her relationship with food for decades. In this conversation, Karen gets honest about that history, and about something she still checks herself on today. Because here's the twist. We told ourselves we moved past the thin obsession. Body positivity was supposed to be the turning point. But somewhere in the last two years, that shift started reversing, and Karen has a theory about why. This episode goes places most conversations about GLP-1s and peptides don't go. What happens when a tool built to help women stop obsessing over food becomes another way to chase an old, dangerous ideal. Where the line sits between healing and harm. And why the doctors prescribing these medications may be the biggest blind spot in the entire conversation. If you have ever felt caught between wanting to feel good in your body and worrying that wanting it too much says something bad about you, this one is going to land differently. In This Episode, We Cover: How growing up around constant food restriction shapes the way we think about our bodies for life, even decades later The uncomfortable overlap between old school diet culture and today's biohacking and peptide obsession What it actually looks like when GLP-1 use crosses from health tool into disordered territory Why so many women are afraid to admit they still count calories or obsess over their weight The real conversation around microdosing, maintenance doses, and why more is not always better What doctors are missing when they prescribe peptides without any follow up program The connection between hormones, HRT timing, and whether you even need a peptide in the first place Why shame is the wrong response to someone using these tools, and what to offer instead The long term risks nobody is putting front and center, from bone loss to malnourishment Who This Episode Is For This episode is for the woman who has spent years managing a complicated relationship with food and her body, whether she calls it that or not. It is for anyone curious about GLP-1s and peptides who wants the real picture, not just the highlight reel from social media. And it is for the woman in midlife watching her body change in ways diet and exercise alone will not fix, who wants to understand her options without judgment. https://linktr.ee/csjosephWhat's up Ego Hackers? In this episode of the CS Joseph Podcast, we break down vulnerability versus invulnerability and how this core difference affects men and women according to the Octagram 4.1 framework.Discover why being open, honest, and authentic isn't weakness — it's the ultimate display of masculine strength. We explain why the "strong silent type" (subconscious developed fakers) makes feminine women feel unsafe, while the top unconscious developed men naturally lead, attract, and create safety through radical authenticity.Key topics covered:• Mark Manson's "Models" book and where his subconscious developed approach falls short• Unconscious Developed (UD) vs Subconscious Developed (SD) men — why 80%+ of Western men acting invulnerable is destroying relationships and society• Why UD/feminine women fear closed-off "strong silent type" men (and why SD women have no frame of reference for real openness)• What vulnerability actually means for men: no such thing as TMI among adults, strength through openness even with strangers• Octagram 4.1 insights: The top 4% of men who are truly open, honest, and authentic (Tate brothers example)• Real-world examples: Why certain creators get "hoes" but not wife material, and why invulnerable men poison the future• How women follow when men lead properly — the rise of polygynous dynamics because top UD men are a cut above• Vulnerability as real strength vs fake invulnerability• Lock maxing, the rite of passage, no safety nets, and putting faith in GodIf you're tired of fake masculinity advice and want deep psychological truth on gender dynamics, personality typing, and becoming the kind of man women feel safe around — this episode is for you.Take Season 40: How to Personality Type Yourself at skool.com/csjoseph to master the Octagram 4.1, learn to psychoanalyze yourself and others accurately, and apply these concepts in your life and relationships.Join the EgoHackers community for more Jungian psychology, Octagram insights, and practical tools for men.Like this video, subscribe for more unfiltered truth on masculinity, relationships, and the Octagram, and turn on notifications. Now that I have established my argument for Complemenatarianism, I am turning my attention to various objections raised by Egalitarians against this view. In this episode I address four objections:1. Galatians 3:28 requires that we make no distinction between men and women in the kingdom of God. 2. Paul speaks of women as laboring with him in the gospel, and thus women can e ministers.3. Paul speaks of churches in the house of different women. This implies that they were pastors in these house churches. 4. Priscilla is an example of a teacher in the Bible. In 1986, Edinburgh football club Heart of Midlothian, known as Hearts, came within touching distance of glory. Just a few years earlier, the club had been in serious trouble, both on and off the pitch. But under manager Alex MacDonald, Hearts mounted an extraordinary challenge in a league long dominated by Glasgow rivals Celtic and Rangers, the Old Firm.Reena Stanton-Sharma tells the story through BBC archive interviews with midfielder Gary Mackay and striker John ‘Robbo' Robertson, as they remember the joy, pressure and heartbreak of a remarkable season.Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive and testimony. Sporting Witness is for those fascinated by sporting history. We take you to the events that have shaped the sports world through the eyes of the people who were there. For nine minutes, you become a fan in the stands as we take you back in time to examine memorable victories and agonising defeats from all over the world. You'll hear from people who have achieved sporting immortality, or those who were there as incredible sporting moments unfolded.Recent episodes explore the forgotten football Women's World Cup, the plasterer who fought a boxing legend, international football's biggest ever beating and the man who swam the Amazon river. We look at the lives of some of the most famous F1 drivers, tennis players and athletes as well as people who've had ground-breaking impact in their chosen sporting field, including: the most decorated Paralympian, the woman who was the number 1 squash player in the world for nine years, and the first figure skater to wear a hijab. You can learn all about fascinating and surprising stories, such as the tennis player who escaped the Nazis, how a man finally beat a horse in a race, and how the FIFA computer game was created.(Photo: Gary Mackay (centre) runs with the ball as Stewart McKimmie (left) of Aberdeen chases during the Scottish Cup Final match at Hampden Park in Glasgow in 1986. What if pregnancy help ministries had a new window of time to reach women considering the abortion pill? In this episode of The ProLife Team Podcast, host Jacob Barr sits down with Pam Stenzel and Chaney Gooley to talk about the Women's Care Kit — an innovative tool that opens a one-hour, in-person consultation with a medical professional while providing medical education and supplies for women facing an abortion-pill decision.Pam and Chaney unpack how the kit works, why it matters for both medical and non-medical pregnancy centers, and how the pro-life movement can innovate while staying unified — building bridges instead of picking sides.

Kink is often misunderstood, wrapped in myths, stereotypes, and cultural taboos that obscure what it's really about. In this episode, we unpack what kink is—and just as importantly, what it isn't. From broad definitions of BDSM and the idea that kink is simply "whatever is taboo for you," we explore why modern media often gets it wrong by focusing on shock value while overlooking the foundations of communication, consent, negotiation, safety, and aftercare. We'll also challenge common misconceptions that kink is abusive, anti-feminist, or only about pain. Theresa from Expansive Connection will help us break down the different elements of BDSM and explain how many forms of play overlap, emphasizing that the labels matter far less than the connection and experience they create. Whether you're simply curious or already exploring, understanding the diversity of kink opens the door to seeing it through a much more informed and compassionate lens. Most importantly, we'll discuss why so many couples and consensually non-monogamous relationships find value in exploring kink. Join us as we explore how embracing curiosity and authenticity can deepen intimacy, strengthen connection, and remind us that desire isn't something to fear—it's an opportunity to grow together. With the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline rapidly approaching this Monday, we're entering the final stretch as teams try to bolster their rosters and make one last postseason push. Since it's the final episode before the Baseball Bar-B-Cast Trade Deadline live show, we had to welcome ESPN Senior Baseball Reporter Jeff Passan to discuss all the potential deals that might—or might not—go down. On this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman chat with Jeff about whether Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal is likely to be on the move, why he'd love to see him stay in the Motor City and whether anyone can stop the Los Angeles Dodgers from acquiring him. The guys then dive into why the San Diego Padres' asking price for closer Mason Miller is higher than anyone expected, which teams to keep an eye on before Monday's 6 p.m. ET deadline and what David Stearns might do with the New York Mets roster as they navigate a disappointing season. Later in the show, Jake and Jordan make their weekly picks for The Good, The Bad & The Uggla, including the Tigers calling up top prospect Max Clark and San Francisco Giants outfielder Harrison Bader getting into a scooter accident that ended his season. Today, I welcomed author Alex Norman to the podcast to talk about his book on De Havilland's Moth and the thrilling world of aviation in the 1920s and 30s, a period with such wonderful links to Highclere. Alex shared his own family's connections to early flying, including his grandfather's aircraft and involvement in the London Aeroplane Club and explained how Geoffrey de Havilland's ingenuity helped by Frank Halford's lightweight Cirrus engine made the DH60 Moth a breakthrough for private pilots. We explored how government-subsidised flying clubs, adventurous women and men and the freedom of the skies fuelled record-breaking journeys, from Lady Bailey and Amy Johnson to the Aga Khan Trophy winner Aspy Engineer.
