For Jesus Followers, Jesus Presence Provides Confidence and Light in Times Which Could Bring Fear and Uncertainty into Your Life MESSAGE SUMMARY: If You are a Jesus Follower, you can live in the presence of Jesus for your life. Living in the presence of Jesus means that you live in personal holiness; therefore, you are living in the light of Jesus. Many times, you are so tempted to walk in the darkness of doom and gloom; and when you go through something difficult in your life, you walk in darkness without the presence of Jesus and His light for your life. The Apostle John, in 1 John 1:5-7, so clearly presents what it means to “walk in the presence and light of Jesus” for those times that bring fear and uncertainty into your life: “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.". One day, the Lord will come in judgment; but for now, you can walk in the light and presence of Jesus through your prayerful personal relationship with Him. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I have spent much of my life running from pain and loss, medicating my pain, and quickly moving on to the next project — the new urgent demand. I ask for the grace to embrace all of life — the joys and the sorrows, the deaths, and the births, the old and the new. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 110). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). From Romans 1:16 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): John 7:12-16; 1 John 1:5-10; 2 Corinthians 3:12-18; Psalms 38b:12-22. A WORD FROM THE LORD WEBSITE: www.AWFTL.org. That's a big transition, and some people don't handle it very well — they really kind of fall apart.” “Success is living out the life that you have been handed. Your identity was predestined in some ways … but when I see someone living out their calling in life, regardless of how wealthy they are, that's what success is.” “To be successful at anything, you have to live consistently and with repetition to do whatever it is that you want to do well.” “I can't control an outcome. I'm not that powerful, I'm not that good. But I can always put myself in the position to succeed.” BOOKS MENTIONED: 48 Days to the Work You Love: Preparing for the New Normal by Dan Miller (https://a.co/d/34MIxq6) The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success and Happiness by Jeff Olson, John David Mann (https://a.co/d/27XN0BW) ASSESSMENT TOOL: Jordan Peterson Big 5 Personality Test USEFUL RESOURCES: https://www.garychupik.com/ https://www.elitemindsetnation.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/gary-chupik-22aba6161/ https://www.instagram.com/elitemindset/ https://www.facebook.com/gary.chupik https://x.com/chupik_gary CONNECT WITH JOHN Website - https://iamjohnhulen.com LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnhulen Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/johnhulen Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/johnhulen X - https://x.com/johnhulen YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLX_NchE8lisC4NL2GciIWA EPISODE CREDITS Intro and Outro music provided by Jeff Scheetz - https://jeffscheetz.com/

What do launching into orbit and starting a grueling mountain ultra have in common? More than you might think. In this episode, we draw from Ryan Holiday's The Obstacle Is the Way and NASA's astronaut training to explore how familiarity—not bravado—builds confidence on the trail. Just as astronauts rehearsed every scenario to make the unknown feel routine, trail runners can train for the unexpected: long stretches without aid, bad weather, gear failures, or the mental fog of mile 90. We discuss how to simulate race conditions, build mental protocols for problem-solving, and control the factors within your grasp. By exposing yourself to stress in training—whether it's night running, solo efforts, or challenging terrain—you build emotional muscle to stay calm when it matters most. The obstacle isn't the mountain ahead—it's the panic in your chest, and with the right preparation, you can take its power away. Send us a textFeeling overworked, under-inspired, or stuck rewriting the same proposals on repeat? You're not lacking time — you may be underleveraging your creative edge.In this episode, I'm joined by Brad Ball, co-founder of Ardent Creative, Verity Software, and Committed Mastermind, to reframe creativity as a business advantage — especially when combined with AI for agency owners.Brad shares how his team used AI to shrink 60 hours of proposal work down to 1 hour, while improving personalization, speed, and accuracy. But the real insight? Creativity isn't just for designers — it's a mindset. A muscle. And every entrepreneur scaling past 7 figures needs it firing on all cylinders. We'll explore the four-part framework from his book Art of Entrepreneurs, how automation enhances—not replaces—creativity, and why agency owners must shift from overworking to orchestrating. If you've ever thought, “I'm just not creative,” this one's for you.

When Susan sold her company, she thought she'd find freedom and clarity.Instead, she woke up to an unsettling truth: she'd lost her momentum, her confidence, and even her sense of identity. This was the woman who once built physical tools to help people get “unstuck”, and now she was the one in the quicksand.Inside Iconic, Susan learned to stop chasing the “perfect answer” and start testing possibilities in real time. From coaching clients to taking on advisory and fractional roles. She let go of a self-imposed deadline to have it all figured out, and instead worked on choosing the next better belief and feeling, even on days when optimism felt out of reach. You'll hear how she rewired her mind to spiral up! Instead of down, cleared her home and office to reflect her new calm, and reclaimed the deep belief that her next exciting chapter is already unfolding. Her message now? In the first episode of From a Men's Perspective, I talk with Blaze — a Distinguished Toastmaster, coach, and father who's been sober for over 2,000 days.We explore how men and women express confidence differently, the pressure around saying “no” to alcohol, and how sobriety transformed his life. At the heart of it all: what it truly means to own your story unapologetically. If you'd like, I can also give you three attention-grabbing first sentences so your Spotify preview line really hooks listeners before they even click “Play.” That's especially important for a first-segment episode.
