Not a new diet. Not a new supplement. Not a new protocol; rather, a fundamental change in how you relate to your body, your intuition, and uncertainty itself. We explore the difference between fear-based healing, which is driven by anxiety, control, and perfection, and trust-based healing, which restores connection, safety, and the body's natural ability to repair. In this episode, you'll discover:Why fear-based healing creates tension, blocks intuition, and slows progressHow trust-based healing supports nervous system regulation and resiliencePractical ways to shift from rigid rule-following to intuitive, embodied decision-makingHow to reconnect with your body's innate intelligence even when outcomes feel uncertainA guided reflection to anchor this mindset as you move into the new yearThis shift doesn't require certainty. It doesn't require perfection. It only requires willingness to listen, reconnect, and trust what your body has been communicating all along.Listen now and step into 2026 grounded in trust instead of fear. After a year that saw no shortage of heavy legal news, Mary and Andrew close out 2025 with an episode of positive judicial developments. They begin with the Supreme Court's decision denying President Trump's request to stay an injunction blocking the federalization of National Guard troops in Illinois, concluding that the statute the government used to justify it first requires an attempt to execute federal laws with the military – which would likely require invocation of the Insurrection Act. And nobody seems to want that. At least not yet. The co-hosts then turn to D.C. District Court Judge Jeb Boasberg's decision on the Trump administration's use of the Alien Enemies Act. He wrote that because the U.S. maintained constructive custody over Venezuelans expelled to El Salvador, they are legally owed due process rights. Last up, they note two judges who are demanding proof that the government is not acting vindictively — from the administration's prosecution of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the presidential memo that stripped the security clearance of national security lawyer Mark Zaid.Editors' Note: While Andrew and Mary were recording this episode, an order from Judge Crenshaw in Abrego Garcia's criminal case was unsealed. In this episode, we sit down with one of the defining writers of modern Marvel to talk about what's next, what still matters, and what didn't quite land. Paul discusses his two new Marvel series coming in 2026, including his long-awaited return to The Sentry, launching this March. We dig into why this new Sentry story feels necessary now, how it builds on the psychological core that made the character unforgettable, and what Paul wants to explore that he couldn't before. We also get an exclusive look at Captain Marvel: Dark Star, a story that reaches back into Carol Danvers' Ms. Marvel era to investigate an unsolved crime that has lingered in the shadows for decades. Paul breaks down why revisiting that moment matters—and how reframing the past can change how we understand Carol today. The conversation turns reflective as we revisit Paul's Marvel Knights era, including his landmark run on Inhumans—what that period at Marvel felt like from the inside, the creative freedom it allowed, and why those stories continue to resonate. And yes—we talk about television. Paul finally watched the ABC Inhumans series, and he's candid about his reaction, where it went wrong, and why adaptations miss the mark when they lose sight of character and theme. It's a wide-ranging, honest conversation about legacy, reinvention, and returning to the worlds you helped define—on your own terms.

Wellness: Rebranded - Intuitive eating, diet culture, food relationship, weight training, food freedom

Healing isn't a solo project—community is a real wellness intervention. In this episode, Maria breaks down why emotional and mental wellbeing improves when we're supported, witnessed, and validated by other people, not just “checked on,” but truly seen. She shares what it means to feel emotionally seen, how that kind of connection can calm the nervous system, and why so many of us default to fixing, minimizing, or rushing past emotions instead of holding space. Maria shares what she learned from 12 years working in an emergency room, including how quickly someone can shift when they feel safe, understood, and not judged. That lived experience sparked her creation of the Emotional Fitness Studio, an “emotional gym” where people build emotional awareness and practical tools through shared experiences, not just information. Whether you're local or not, the episode ends with actionable ways to create emotional-fitness moments in everyday life, at home, in the car, in relationships, through curiosity, attention, and making space for all emotions. In this episode: Healing often happens faster when you're supported in community instead of trying to carry everything alone. Feeling emotionally seen—acknowledged, validated, accepted—can settle the nervous system in real time. Shared experience reduces shame and helps people feel less isolated in what they're carrying. You can create “emotional fitness” anywhere by noticing, asking curious questions, and resisting the urge to fix. Safe spaces are built through intention, care, and welcoming all emotions without judgment. When therapy “doesn't work,” is it the modality, the match, or weak training? Are common factors enough once symptoms disrupt daily life? Why does fragmented care push patients to choose meds or therapy by luck of first contact? When are meds a useful boost versus a detour from solving life problems? What's distinct about DBT—skills, validation, and balancing change with acceptance? How does radical acceptance cut suffering without excusing harm? Which skills travel across diagnoses? How do we prevent therapist burnout and drift from the model? If we want durable gains, should we favor therapies that teach skills we keep after treatment ends? https://vimeo.com/1147502145?fl=ip&fe=ec What if your spiritual awakening requires you to go through madness of some sort or other, and mess? In order to really fully embody yourself as human and divine. It's such a horribly lovely journey to go through that madness. Today's guest, Jon Kohrs is with us, as we dive into this topic of madness, navigating your life in relationships and personal discovery and more.  Join us, to find out more! Jon Kohrs has spent twenty years in corporate America as a business and executive coach.  He is a teacher, as well as an advocate for caregivers and he is the author of, Getting Unstuck by Design.  Jon uses experiential teaching methods grounded in Reiki, Andean energy practices, shamanism, Jungian alchemy and mystic traditions. Jon Kohrs is a Chestnut-Paes Enneagram Academy Certified Coach and utilizes the Enneagram to design systems that help leaders in some of the most highly bureaucratic organizations in the United States to unlearn how they work, unlock organizational potential, creatively facilitate change within their team and work in a whole new way. In an effort to break the norms of how we express ourselves authentically, Jon Kohrs wrote, Horribly Lovely, a spiritual romantic memoir of a man's unconventional journey through love, addiction, infidelity, heartbreak, the overall messiness of being human and searching for the beauty of beginning again and again. It is a soulful story told with raw honesty,  poetic intensity and written with psychological depth to explore the truest sense of love and what remains after heartbreak. It is an ideal companion for anyone who's ever felt broken in a relationship or lost in their search for the perfect love story. Watch or listen to the show to find encouragement for facing the madness and messiness of our human journey and embodying yourself as fully human and fully divine. His writing defies genre, weaving symbolic narratives that are dreamlike, lyrical, and poetic—inviting readers into the raw, unfiltered beauty of being human.  With roots in shamanism, the Enneagram, and Jungian alchemy, Jon explores the phenomenological experience of love—how it melts the hardened statues of identity and invites us to play with the clay of the soul. Through this work, he seeks to break the norms of expression and awaken truth in its most idiosyncratic, real, and uncomfortable forms.  Jon also works as a designer, coach, and teacher who bridges the worlds of inner transformation and organizational innovation. He helps leaders shape visionary ideas into ventures that honor both soul and strategy.  Jon dives into the depth not to explain reality, but to live into his own truth. He lives in Kansas City with his three children and is a relative of the Slovenian writer Ivan Tavčar. This scholarship fund was established in her honor recognizing the sacrifices Susan and Joe underwent getting the PAOS off the ground and sustaining the organization in the early years. The establishment of this memorial scholarship fund was to cultivate and attract PA students into the field of orthopaedics.
