Jakob (Daniel Zolghadri) is a quiet artist and bright student who lacks the confidence of his best friend Danny (Tyler Barnhardt), who in turn lacks Jakob's potential. The two friends happen upon a mysterious spherical pod in the woods, and upon Jakob climbing inside, the two discover they have switched bodies. Deciding to live as one another for a day, Jakob gets a glimpse into Danny's life, the struggle he has with his parents in regards to his future, and what it's like to make out with a girl. He also notices Danny, posing as Jakob, reaching out to the crush that he never could and decides he wants to switch back. Danny confesses he would rather keep his new life as Jakob, prompting a fight between the two, which then prompts a defeated Jakob to return to the pod alone. Danny can't help notice Jakob's absense,so he sets out to the woods to find him and discovers his own lifeless body inside the pod. Now, stuck as Jakob, Danny makes futile efforts to comfort his family and a successful choice to appease Jakob's, but ultimately misses his friend, who may still be other there somewhere. There aren’t many places where we aren’t boxed in to strict categories. For English singer-songwriter CN Lester, music has always provided a safe space where these restrictions don’t apply. Raised in London by a family that encouraged them to think outside traditional gender roles, CN, who is gender queer and uses the pronoun they, grew up to be a committed activist. As well as co-founding the Queer Youth Network and Britain’s first gay-straight alliance, CN has written a memoir called Trans Like Me: A Journey for All of Us: which is a must-read for all trans people and those who want to understand them better. Now, they run a queer performance night in London that has the salient motto: Don’t make assumptions. Anne Tomlinson has served as Los Angeles Children’s Chorus Artistic Director since 1996, overseeing the educational and artistic development of the 400-member chorus and conducting LACC’s renowned Concert Choir and Chamber Singers. She has positively impacted the lives of thousands upon thousands of children and helped shape LA’s cultural landscape in myriad ways over the past two decades. Today she talks to Ryan about the all the right keys: the best keys for children to sing in, and the keys for singing for a lifetime. Listen [Subscribe on iTunes] [Subscribe on Android] Highlight to Tweet: “Children can learn the basics of singing best in a choir.” - Anne Tomlinson Show Notes: About Anne: Anne Tomlinson is the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus (LACC). Her background is in piano, not teaching, but she learned from outstanding mentors while accompanying the LACC LACC is famous for bel canto teaching technique, producing a uniquely pure and resonant sound. On repertoire: Latin, Italian, German, Hebrew, Spanish, and Japanese are all good language choices for children, focusing on Italianate vowels. When selecting repertoire, focus on educating not just your students, but also your audience. Have the children talk about the piece, helping parents understand why we make these musical choices. Pick repertoire that supports the technique of the choir. Balance your selections, considering, unison, parts, sweet melodies, and more rhythmic selections. Can’t find a piece in a sharp key (better for young voices)? Transpose. Your choir is bigger than just the children in it Want to build relationships with other community arts organizations? Just ask for an opportunity to meet and share your goals and vision for a partnership. Invite them to your concerts, have children talk to them, demonstrate how their ticket sales are likely to increase. Teach children how to sing for a lifetime, technique that will allow them to sing in whatever style they choose as an adult. Mehr lesbare Ware anbei: Thunderbolt Technology Community: Thunderbolt™ 3 – The USB-C That Does It All The Verge: Intel admits USB-C is the connector of the future by adopting it for Thunderbolt 3 Nachtrag: Workflow Thema “Shell Outputs”. Iris ankommen. Mehr Dioptrinfutter: iDownloadBlog: The fine print of Google Photos and why you shouldn’t ditch iCloud Photo Library just yet Google: Official Google Blog: Picture this: A fresh approach to Photos zCasting 3000 in neuem Gewand zCasting 3000 hat sich ein neues Gewand spediert. Side-by-side + Split View = Mission Control endlich nützlich? Metal für den Mac. Schnellere Grafikberechnung (40% “besser” als OpenGL). Auch UI-technisch und ebenfalls in Adobe Produkten. Hoffnung. Neid. Multi-Tasking Interesting the new split view two-apps at once thing is only available on iPad Air 2. Oh… I feel a vibration coming from Italy. Might be @viticci stomping his feet and fist-pump like there's no tomorrow. #multiappmode— Patrick Welker (@_patrickwelker) June 8, 2015 Außerdem: Swift 2 Swift 2 ist nun Open Source. Sehr cool. "We paid out 30 billion dollars to app developers". Don't like this angle. It's our money, we pay Apple in fact.— Ortwin Gentz (@ortwingentz) June 8, 2015 Außerdem verkündet Tim, dass der Durchschnittsnutzer 119 Apps installiert hat. One More Thing: Music So I get no new hardware because its a developer conference. What’s this music crap have to do with developers?— Paul Haddad (@tapbot_paul) June 8, 2015 Größeres, besseres Ökosystem für Musik. YouTube: “Shit.”— Marco Arment (@marcoarment) June 8, 2015 Handverlesene Musik “Connect” = Verbundener mit den Stars und Sternchen sein Beats-one combo (curation + radio) “revolutionary music service” “24/7 global radio” Seriously, how many times have we tried to have a social network for musicians? Seriously. I'm not sure this will work.— Christina Warren (@film_girl) June 8, 2015 Christina hat recht. Digging the prominence of playlists. I'm a curator. I never warmed up to the artist and album views… pic.twitter.com/UnRNsG8tIv— Patrick Welker (@_patrickwelker) June 8, 2015 Außerdem: Apple Music gibt’s im Herbst auch für Android. Die ersten 3 Monate sind kostenfrei. Sechsköpfige Familien zahlen $14.99. It's gonna take six people three months just to figure out what the hell this is.— Merlin Mann (@hotdogsladies) June 8, 2015 Lemke Software, der GraphicConverter und die Welt Thorsten erzählt uns erst einmal seit wann es mit Lemke Software gibt und wie alles angefangen hat.
