Daniel came over from Norway for his first INS race and left with wins in both 2WD and 4WD Mod after a brutal weekend on one of the toughest carpet tracks we have seen. The RC One layout had concrete walls, a tricky quad jump, changing track conditions, and plenty of carnage, but Daniel managed the chaos and came out on top. In this episode, we talk about his wins, the battle with Tater Sontag, Brennan Schimmel's speed, the Schumacher team effort, European vs American track styles, and what makes RC One such a unique challenge. Huge thanks to Daniel for coming on and sharing his thoughts after a massive weekend for him and the Schumacher team. Can Daniel carry this momentum into Round #3? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️

Advanced Navigation is redefining underground positioning with a breakthrough solution that combines a high-performance Inertial Navigation System (INS) with a Laser Velocity Sensor (LVS), delivering precise localization without relying on GPS, fixed infrastructure, pre-existing maps, or external aids. Tim and Ted discuss how the technology was successfully tested in Europe's deepest mine through the BHP Deep Mine Challenge, how it addresses historical INS drift limitations, and why mining companies across Australia, North America, and Latin America are increasingly demanding infrastructure-independent navigation solutions.

Alex Konanykhin is the founder and CEO of Unicoin, an audited, public reporting, and regulations-compliant cryptocurrency company. His background is so implausible that he resorts to media reports to summarize his life story: The Wall Street Journal: “Mr. Konanykhin was a whiz-kid physics student who became a pioneering Russian capitalist in early 1990s, building a banking and investment empire valued at an estimated $300 million all by his mid-20s. He was a member of President Boris Yeltsin's inner circle.” ABC TV: “Russian Bill Gates.” The Baltimore Sun: “Business whiz kid.” CNN: “Alex Konanykhin controlled Russia's largest commercial bank in the 1990s” The Times [of London]: “By the time he was 25 he was one of the most important figures in post-Communist Russia. But in 1992, while on a business trip to Hungary, Alex Konanykhin was kidnapped.” Forbes: “Alex Konanykhin defected to the United States in 1992 and became the first person to be granted political asylum in the United States for opposing corruption in post-Soviet Russia.” Washington Post: “National Republican Congressional Committee chose Konanykhin "New York Businessman of the Year" The Sun: “Alex Konanykhin fled Russia in 1992 and won asylum in the US after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The entrepreneur had set up 100 different companies in Russia and had an estimated net worth of $300 million by the time he was 25. He is regarded as one of the first Russian millionaires after the fall of the Iron Curtain. One of the newly open country's leading lights, he even met with US President George HW Bush in 1991 on a joint visit with Russian leader Boris Yeltsin. However, he was then kidnapped in 1992 while visiting Budapest and all of his business assets were seized in Russia. … Being hunted by the Russian state, Konanykhin won asylum in the US in 1997 and set up a new life - but the shadow of the Kremlin continued to loom over him.He went on to rebuild a business empire and set up multimillion dollar firms such as TransparentBusiness in the US.” Los Angeles Daily Journal: “Representing himself through much of the process, Konanykhin managed to convince an immigration judge of an alleged INS and KGB conspiracy and cover-up. Following the court's admonishment, the INS agreed to drop all charges and also pay $100,000..The judge also ordered an investigation of the Justice Department. In separate actions, Konanykhin subsequently won multimillion dollar libel judgments against two Russian newspapers. A $100 million lawsuit against the Justice Department is pending, alleging perjury, fraud, torture and witness tampering by U.S government officers on behalf of the Russian Mafia.” Profit Magazine: “Imagine you are a teenage physics genius who quickly amasses a $300 million empire of real estate and banking ventures, has dozens of cars, six hundred employees, several mansions and two hundred bodyguards—but you are nonetheless kidnapped by those you trusted, threatened with torture and death, and have your entire empire stolen from you one dark night in Budapest. You escape with your life by racing through Eastern-block countries and flying to New York on stashed-away passports—only to have the KGB and Russian Mafia hell-bent on your hide and the U.S. government jailing you and conspiring to serve you up into their clutches. All this before your 29th birthday. Sound like a Tom Clancy thriller? No. . . just a slice in the life of Alexander Konanykhin.” Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

DOCKET ALERTS:   The Trump administration is tapping out on the lawsuits defending executive orders attacking law firms. Too bad, so sad for the Vichy law firms that pledged a billion dollars in "conservative pro bono" work. Justice Gorsuch says we can't take guns away from drug users because the Founders were drunk all the time.   The Federal Circuit declines a request by the Trump administration to delay tariff refunds.   Kansas's revocation of trans citizens' drivers licenses draws its first court challenge.   And Virginia's redistricting referendum can go ahead. MAIN SHOW:   We discuss the history of the president's power to commence hostilities and explain why Trump and his goons are so deeply invested in claiming that the war in Iran — which isn't a war at all! — was defensive, not offensive. Plus Andrew's got a deep dive into the War Powers Resolution and how it might bring about an end to this nightmare.   We've got clips from 60 Minutes's very good story on the danger federal judges face when they go against the Trump administration.    Judges in the Western District of West Virginia join the list of jurisdictions telling DHS/DOJ that contempt charges are coming if they keep relying on crackpot legal theories to kidnap residents.   Judge John Tunheim issues class relief to refugees in Minnesota, barring DHS from interning them for recertification.   And for subscribers: a discussion of the constitutionality of the War Powers Resolution.   Trump Administration to Drop Defense of Law Firm Sanctions https://www.wsj.com/us-news/law/trump-administration-to-drop-defense-of-law-firm-sanctions-cb839c39   US v. They also unpack the science of vibration plates and whether they are useful for muscle strength, bone health, and balance. The conversation then turns to running, exploring how it generates vibrations through the body's soft tissues, how these vibrations may affect performance, and what runners can do about it. „Die Vergangenheit war immer da. In Blicken. In plötzlichem Schweigen. In Sätzen, die abrupt endeten. Man spürte, dass hinter all dem Erinnerungen lagen, über die nicht gesprochen werden konnte. What separates great entrepreneurs from everyone else is not avoiding failure. It's their ability to get back up and keep trying new things.Grant Hensel started 10 businesses, watched seven fail, scaled one into a 60-person company, shifted from building businesses to buying them, and recently raised nearly $12 million to back entrepreneurs acquiring small businesses.  In this episode of The Opportunity podcast, Grant joins us to share what separated his successful ventures from the failures and the benefits of buying businesses instead of building them from scratch. One of the keys to success for Grant was finding the right people. He explains that many of his own successes came from partnering with operators who were better suited to run the day-to-day business, while he focused on vision, support, and capital allocation. That philosophy now shapes how his fund evaluates acquisition entrepreneurs. We also dig into how he raised the fund itself, why he believes "boring" businesses can be incredible investments, and the warning signs that immediately kill a deal for him. We also discussed AI's impact on SEO agencies and why Grant believes AI is actually creating new opportunities for digital marketing businesses rather than destroying them. If you're interested in buying businesses, raising capital, or building long-term wealth through acquisitions, this episode is packed with practical insights and hard-earned lessons. Topics Discussed in this episode: 04:12 - What separated Grant's successful businesses from the failures  11:26 - Why Grant switched from building businesses to buying them  13:41 - How Grant found his first acquisition  14:30 - How AI is affecting marketing agencies  17:34 - How the first acquisition was structured   20:03 - The benefits of buying vs building a business 23:23 - Ins and outs of raising a fund 30:28 - Why Grant is sceptical of acquisition synergies  39:52 - How Grant evaluates searchers  46:26 - How Grant raised $12 million for acquisitions Mentions:  Empire Flippers Podcasts Empire Flippers Marketplace Create an Empire Flippers account Subscribe to our newsletter Main Street Capital Network Grant's LinkedIn Sit back, grab a coffee, and look behind the scenes of a $12million fund!

In the depths of the Castle Eschatonica, the true beckonings called to the travelers of the Dragon Path. Led across the ether under divine shadow and holy light, to things that aren't, but which might yet be: New more peaceful lives. Freedom from obligation and duty. Different, more adventurous histories. A key to a door which itself beckons. The power to protect those they care for. Power for power's sake alone. With these behind them, the two groups re-emerge into the halls of the Castle. In the western wing, three figures push forward into the passageways of this transcendent fortress—Uncle Nicky, criminal turned chef; the terrapine Jonathan, inventor and—now—airship captain; and Antistrophe Landrace, the Ruinbringer, though he may not know it yet.  Meanwhile, to the east, an octet walks Eschatonica's twisting paths: Famed adventurer, and Jonathan's sister, Maebela; Veile Lyndelle, destined devotee of the Ennead; Elena Millefiori, Tesserae chanter and eager traveler; the youthful and curious Waylon of Spillaway Peaks; Renegade Hexcloak Caiomhe Wake; and finally, Brontë Adelvys, dissipated sixth scion of the First Line, along with his attendants, Efta and Zolfta Above them, watching with all nine eyes, is Gnova, once the God of Distant Color and Light, now the steward of this Castle. But they are not the only celestial being interested in Eschatonica. They saw Lucena's sunlight streamed across the ether towards their home. They watched as Caliginia's long shadow fell, finally, even here. Indeed, they dread how these gods now shake the diorama-like stability of Eschatonica, and how in doing so, they unknowingly have sent up a flare… Because she is coming, now. Indeed. She is almost here. This Week on Perpetua: Escape the Rumbling Castle! 01 Perpetua Guide [In Progress v.06] NPCs & Monsters [PNMS] Thanks to TheUnforgivenIII for pushing me to include a little more info in the NPCs & Monsters section! Still not giving it all away, because my goal isn't to take away all the mystery! But you should check TU3's strategy guide (in progress) for more combat focused tips! Windborne Hawk Traits: Agile, Lightweight, Droning Type: Hunter Construct Level: 10 Rank: Soldier Stats: DEX 10, INS 8, MIG 6, WLP 8  Attacks: Flechette Burst Special Abilities: Occult Dampener, Annoying Buzz, Flying Elemental Affinities: IMM: Poison | RES: Wind, Dark, Earth | VUL: Bolt, Ice, Light In-Game Description: A beautiful bird automaton that floats through the power of a dark wind. Despite being level 10 soldiers, these are one of the most dangerous enemies in the Castle Eschatonica. They are custom made to crush your casters (which according to DoomTreeAnne's lore document really lines up with their anti-Oracle purpose in Armidirge). Their Flechette Burst can tear through your party (especially characters without martial armor!!) and their Occult Dampener turn them into spell-devouring TANKS.   Starter Tip: Take. These. Down. Quick. Once their Dampener is up, they're that much harder to deal with. Windborne Turret Traits: Automatic, Threat-Finding, Defensive, Deployed Type: Hunter Construct Level: 10 Rank: Soldier Stats: DEX 8, INS 10, MIG 8, WLP 6  Attacks: Repeating Fire Special Abilities: None Elemental Affinities: IMM: Poison | RES: Wind, Dark, Earth | VUL: Bolt, Light In-Game Description: A hovering, bronze-clad weapon that scans for (and eliminates) targets Extremely straightforward enemies. They float in place (but AREN'T Flying enemies) and take a really strong shot at you every other turn (and it doesn't seem like they do much in the way of supporting the rest of their side).  Exploit that to keep their total attack Starter Tip: Focus them down, one at a time. Windborne Flower Traits: Automatic, Defensive, Deployed Type: Support Construct Level: 10 Rank: Soldier Stats: DEX 8, INS 8, MIG 8, WLP 8 Attacks: Shadow Cast Special Abilities: Barrier of Wind, Flying Elemental Affinities: IMM: Poison | RES: Wind, Dark, Earth | VUL: Bolt, Fire, Light In-Game Description: Like a bronze flower, this device unfurls its petals and emits a shielding over its allies. These are the de facto "clerics" of these Windborne automata. Their Barrier of Wind is super annoying (though it should be recognizable if you're doing a support Elene build!).  Starter Tip: While they don't do a lot of damage, their Shadow Cast ability can leave your party dazed, so be careful! Eaja, Windborne Hawkmaster Traits: Fierce, Quick, Determined, Principled Type: Sentinel Humanoid Rank: Champion (3) Stats: DEX ??, INS ??, MIG ??, WLP ??  Attacks: Unknown Special Abilities: Unknown Elemental Affinities: Unknown In-Game Description: A scout from the Windborne Church, one of the two major factions of Armidirge. Thankfully, you don't need to fight Eaja along with her automatons when you first bump into her, though if you're quick you can tackle her as an optional boss fight (which is really hard). Starter Tip: Leave her for later! Trust me. The Mandalorian & Grogu, May the 4th y Star Wars Celebration 2027. This conversation explores Motivational Interviewing (MI), a clinical communication style designed to help patients resolve ambivalence and find internal motivation for healthy behavior changes. The discussion contrasts MI's collaborative guiding style with the counterproductive "fixing reflex," where providers mistakenly try to pressure or dictate solutions to patients. We outline the four core processes – engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning – while emphasizing the use of OARS skills: open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections, and summaries. A significant portion of the discussion provides practical strategies for neuropsychologists to adapt these techniques for patients with cognitive impairments or during feedback sessions. Ultimately, we highlight how MI is a humanistic approach that respects patient autonomy and aligns recommendations with an individual's personal values. In this Bee Science Short, Dr. Dewey Caron continues his series on integrated pest management (IPM) for Varroa mites, focusing on the critical step of selecting and applying the right tools at the right time. Dewey emphasizes a simple but essential message: have a plan. Effective Varroa control begins with understanding pest levels, assessing risk, and determining when intervention is necessary based on economic injury levels (EIL). From there, beekeepers must choose appropriate management tools to keep mite populations below damaging thresholds. The episode highlights the importance of early-season intervention. By reducing mite populations in late winter and early spring—particularly through oxalic acid treatments—beekeepers can lower the initial "inoculum" of mites and slow population growth throughout the season. This proactive approach helps flatten the mite population curve and reduces the likelihood of damaging fall peaks. Dewey reviews a range of control options, including mechanical methods such as drone brood removal and brood interruption, as well as chemical treatments. These include amitraz-based products, organic acids like formic and oxalic acid, and essential oil treatments. He also discusses emerging research on resistance, including amitraz resistance mechanisms and ongoing work to improve treatment effectiveness. Importantly, the episode underscores that Varroa damage is driven not just by mite numbers, but by their role in spreading viruses such as Deformed Wing Virus (DWV). This reinforces the need for consistent, integrated management throughout the season. This episode provides a science-based framework for building a Varroa management plan that supports healthier colonies and more successful beekeeping outcomes. The Center for Immigration Studies has released a new episode of its podcast featuring CIS experts Andrew “Art” Arthur and George Fishman, who reflect on their time working together on Capitol Hill, including their firsthand experiences on September 11, 2001, and the major immigration legislation that followed. The episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at how immigration laws are made. Arthur and Fishman recount the immediate aftermath of 9/11 as staffers on House Judiciary Committee and their roles in drafting legislation that helped reshape U.S. immigration enforcement, including efforts that contributed to the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and the breakup of INS into enforcement and service components within the new Department of Homeland Security. The discussion also explores contentious debates over criminal penalties, interior enforcement, and proposals that sparked nationwide protests in the mid-2000s. From the USA PATRIOT Act to the REAL ID Act of 2005, the episode highlights how national security concerns reshaped immigration policy and how some key recommendations, such as the creation of a biometric entry-exit system, remain unfulfilled decades later.Podcast host and CIS executive director Mark Krikorian also reminds listeners of today's International Network for Immigration Research (INIR) event (streamed live at noon ET) hosted by the Center.
