UNDRESSED WITH POL' AND PATRIK

Today on Undressed with Pol' and Patrik, we're taking you behind the scenes of one of the most emotional—and hilarious—weekends we've had in years: Patrik's 40th Walnut High School Reunion! What started as a simple reunion quickly turned into an unforgettable road trip filled with laughter, shocking observations, unexpected friendships and plenty of classic Pol' and Patrik commentary. Before we even arrived, we debated everything from what to wear to whether Idyllwild even existed. We quickly discovered winding mountain roads, scenic overlooks (or at least what Patrik thought were scenic overlooks), tiny cabins, quirky hotels and a mountain town that completely surprised us. We share the hilarious truth about checking into our rustic mountain lodge, meeting the unforgettable owner Raj, navigating tiny showers, questionable TV reception, and why our "upgraded room" became one of the funniest stories of the weekend. Then came the first reunion event at the Idyllwild Winery, where we reunited with classmates we hadn't seen in forty years. We talk about the excitement, the nerves, the reality of seeing everyone after decades, and how life has changed for all of us. We laugh about reunion fashion, reminiscing over high school memories, reconnecting with old friends, hearing stories we'd never heard before, and watching complete strangers accidentally crash our reunion tables. Along the way we share hilarious observations about mountain life, why every business seemed to fly rainbow flags, why Patrik thought Idyllwild looked like a witness protection program, and how one mountain town created enough comedy material to last an entire season. Dinner brought another unforgettable moment after an awkward encounter at a local Mexican restaurant turned into a conversation about kindness, inclusion and remembering how simple gestures can create lifelong friendships. We even share the incredible story of how a chance dinner years ago introduced us to friends we still travel the world with today. We wrap up Part One over drinks at the local brewery, catching up with classmates who now live all over the world—including discovering two former classmates who unknowingly relocated just miles from each other in Costa Rica. It's funny, nostalgic, heartfelt and completely unfiltered as we begin reliving one of the most memorable weekends of our lives. Trust us...this reunion is only getting started. How do we find people who can help us carry the weight of our stories? How do we learn to experience safety in community when relationships themselves have often been the source of deep pain?Author, speaker, and podcaster Toni Collier has endured profound hardship throughout her life, including caring for a parent at a young age, surviving an abusive marriage, experiencing sexual betrayal, enduring sexual manipulation as a child, walking through two divorces, and more. Learning to trust others with the deepest parts of her story did not come easily. Yet through the healing power of what she calls a Confessional Community, Toni began experiencing layers of healing and freedom she never thought possible. In her latest book, Don't Try This Alone: How to Build Deep Community When You Want to Hide from Your Pain, Toni shares how authentic, vulnerable community can become one of the primary ways God brings healing through suffering. In this episode, Davey and Toni talk about why confession and vulnerability are such essential parts of healing, how we can become safe people that others trust with their pain, and the emotional and spiritual dangers of isolation and hidden suffering. If opening up to others has felt difficult—especially in seasons of pain, disappointment, or heartbreak—this conversation will remind you that healing was never meant to happen alone and that God often uses deep, authentic community as part of the restoration process He wants to invite you into. Mark series · Part 18 | Scripture: Mark 5:35–43 The messengers arrive with the worst news a father could ever hear: Jairus's little girl has died. "Why bother the teacher anymore?" But Jesus turns to the heartbroken dad and says, "Don't be afraid; just believe." Together we walk the long, silent road to Jairus's house and witness one of the most tender moments in the Gospel of Mark — Jesus taking a little girl by the hand and calling her back to life. Jairus came asking for a healing. Jesus gave him something far greater. A gentle, hope-filled episode for talking with your kids about a hard subject — death — and the One who is stronger than it. In This Episode "Not dead but asleep" — and why the mourners laughed A gentle look at "chronological snobbery": the people of Jesus' day knew exactly what death was — they weren't gullible The Big Idea This story answers the question the disciples first asked back in the storm — "Who is this?" — Jesus is the One with power over death itself. And He uses that power tenderly: mighty enough to raise the dead, gentle enough to hold a little girl's hand. It points us forward to Jesus' own death and resurrection, and to the hope for everyone who trusts Him. Support either way = Shout outs 1. ad-free episodes +

What happens when a legendary New Jersey comedian sits down with two completely unfiltered gay hosts over Armenian coffee? Pure comedy chaos. This week we welcomed comedian Mike Marino to Undressed with Pol' and Patrik while we were in New York City, and from the second he walked in, we couldn't stop laughing. Between Mike's quick wit, our nonstop banter, and SnowWhite90210 stealing the spotlight as always, this episode felt like old friends sitting around the kitchen table. We talked about Mike's incredible 35-year career, spending a decade performing sketch comedy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, touring the world, opening for legendary performers, and why comedians don't make their money from television specials—they make it on the road. Mike also gave us a behind-the-scenes look at his brand-new Amazon Prime comedy special, Back to School with Mike Marino, filmed inside the very high school where his stand-up journey began at just sixteen years old. We loved hearing how the local drama students helped build the set and how every ticket sold benefited the school's drama department. Of course, we couldn't resist talking Hollywood. We swapped stories about Jay Leno, Jon Voight, Jamie Kennedy, Tom Arnold, Frank Stallone, Robert Davi, Dino Martin, Martin Short, Comics Unleashed, the Beverly Hills Film Festival, and even our unforgettable evening sitting next to Jon Voight, Dyan Cannon, and Fran Drescher. Mike also shared hilarious stories about being the "plant" in Jay Leno's audience and how sometimes Jay depended on Mike to rescue jokes live on television. The conversation quickly turned into a comedy masterclass as Mike explained that the funniest material always comes from real life. Family, relationships, getting older, and everyday experiences connect with audiences far more than memorized punchlines. His advice to us? Our timing, chemistry and playful banter could easily become a comedy act of its own! Then it was time for Pol's famous Armenian Coffee Reading. The coffee revealed a beautiful new chapter ahead for Mike. Pol saw a man entering the most authentic and rewarding period of his career, predicting that success would come from embracing who he is today instead of the "New Jersey Bad Boy" persona that first made him famous. The reading also highlighted the deep peace Mike has finally found with his fiancée Heather, along with an unexpected future opportunity that's even bigger than anything he's already accomplished. Naturally, things went completely off the rails as we volunteered to become Mike's "gaybers," debated building an ADU in his backyard, joked about Only Thumbs, and nearly moved ourselves into the house next door in New Jersey. It was heartfelt, hilarious, inspiring and exactly the kind of unfiltered conversation we love sharing with all of you. BEST QUOTE: "I used to be the New Jersey Bad Boy. Now I'm just happy." Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all your favorite fictional universes.Everyone's forgotten Peter Parker…or have they? Sony gave us a second full trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the interwebs are buzzing about it. We get longer looks at Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher in the film, as well as allusions to the big bad of the movie - though Tom Holland recently said on the press tour that the antagonist has not been figured out yet by fans. Films continue to top each other's openings at the box office this year, with Toy Story 5 having the current title of best opening of the year to the tune of $160 million domestically over the Father's Day weekend. This was also the all-time best opening for the 30-year-old franchise. Disclosure Day took second place this weekend, though Toy Story practically beat its global take in the states alone, and Obsession and Backrooms continue their strong streaks coming in at third and fourth respectively.Universal and Blumhouse's Atomic Monster are jumping on the Curry Barker bandwagon having acquired the young director's third film in a reported eight figure deal. While Universal has been backing Barker, both Obsession and his upcoming film Anything But Ghosts are coming from Focus Features. Blumhouse has produced those same films, but this new move puts the horror powerhouse in a stronger position for film development. To tag onto the box office talk and remind you, Obsession was made for $750,000 and has now made more than $300 million worldwide - making it a tantalizing prospect for Blumhouse.Netflix has opted not to proceed with a second season of The Boroughs, a sci-fi TV series executive produced by Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers. The series debuted its first season last month. Universal and Imagine Entertainment are developing a sequel to 2000's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, with Jim Carrey in talks to reprise his role as the classic Dr. Seuss character the Grinch and Ron Howard returning to direct. Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer, and Thomasin McKenzie have joined the Season 3 cast of Prime Video's Fallout in recurring roles. In a new interview with Collider, Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri revealed that Star Wars creator George Lucas was cast in a small voice part in the upcoming Minions and Monsters because Lucas is a longtime fan of the Despicable Me franchise. Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley is reteaming with Keanu Reeves for a live-action hybrid Lego movie that Cooley will direct and Reeves will star in according to Deadline. Netflix has won the rights to develop Alix E. Harrow's best selling novel The Everlasting and will enter production on a series adaptation immediately according to Variety. The Everlasting is a time loop fantasy novel and was one of the best selling books of last year.Universal Pictures has announced that the next Illumination animated film will be Not Alone, an alien movie starring Timothée Chalamet & Selena Gomez which will release in April of next year. Dylan Clark's reboot of The Blair Witch Project for Lionsgate has landed a release date of September 24, 2027.Legendary has announced that a live action Magic School Bus movie is officially in the works with Elizabeth Banks set to play Ms. Frizzle. David and Sissy explore the unique role fathers play in helping daughters develop confidence, resilience, and capability. Through personal stories, research, and counseling insights, they discuss how dads build capability by spending time with their daughters, teaching practical skills, staying emotionally engaged, and continuing to pursue connection even during the challenging adolescent years. They also address common pitfalls, such as aligning with daughters against moms or withdrawing when daughters seem distant, and offer practical ways fathers can strengthen connection through shared experiences, curiosity, encouragement, and consistent presence.  Resources mentioned: Capable by David Thomas and Sissy Goff The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan Books by Dan Allender . . . . . .  Sign up to receive the bi-monthly newsletter to keep up to date with where David and Sissy are speaking, where they are taco'ing, PLUS conversation starters for you and your family to share! In this episode of Dadville, we sat down with Lee C. Camp, a professor of theology and ethics who has spent over two decades helping people wrestle with what it means to live a life worth living. While he is the host of the nationally syndicated show No Small Endeavor, Lee got remarkably vulnerable about his own "spiral" into depression at age 47 and the "unresolved crap" he had to address within his own family. We were especially moved by his "85% rule" for parenting, which suggests that a 15% margin for error is a liberating way to teach kids about humility and apologies. He also shared the reality of his "serenity tax"—living without a cell phone for nearly a decade to avoid the "claws of technology". From stories about sons cutting ethernet cables to his deep dive into cardinal virtues, Lee reminds us that the "good life" is a beautiful, iterative process. Laugh Tracks Legends of Comedy with Randy and Steve

Here's a great career arc -- go from appearing in kid's movies and shows to starring in your own movie, then join Saturday Night Live and stay there for 23 years (and counting). Of course there is only one Kenan Thompson, but his career is so much more than his record setting SNL stint. What's the secret sauce? Being easy to work with helps, there is also Kenan's gift (in the words of an SNL head writer) for this ability to take "ordinary lines and make them funny and funny lines and make them special". Along the way Kenan also has set the record for most celebrity impressions by an SNL cast member. But what's next for Kenan -- more SNL for sure, but he is also busy with more movies, sitcoms, and award show hosting duties. He also has a show with pal Kevin Hart just riffing on sports -- it's good to be Kenan! As always, find extra clips below and thanks for sharing our shows! Want more Kenan? Kenan first broke out as a child actor in D2 The Mighty Ducks, then as a cast member on Nickelodeon's hit show All That. https://youtu.be/3FtmsZ17FZE?si=CeP8gvfaMrWr7uXD   Anyone who has watched SNL in recent years has surely seen Kenan absolutely nail an impression of Steve Harvey hosting Family Feud. https://youtu.be/AafBunu-k2U?si=t9SVaZRfUmoSTBTH   On SNL Kenan is a master of characters and this take on an imaginary BET show with a very enthusiastic host is a fan favorite. https://youtu.be/3HAiKX97AZI?si=rBA2eoHkXavEzwv4   Kenan has a new sports show with Kevin Hart on Prime Video. It's just a couple of great comics riffing on sports -- so of course it's hilarious. https://youtu.be/uxgGjuAjEUA?si=9EVMpY38QNAI20NQ

After making seven seasons of the CBBC series, Malory Towers, it's already abundantly clear that Ella Bright is brimming with talent and experience, but Prime Video's Off Campus is bound to send her star soaring in a significant way. Based on the hugely popular book series by Elle Kennedy, Off Campus Season 1 puts the spotlight on the main characters of the first novel, The Deal. Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) is Briar University's impossibly popular star hockey player who can get just about any girl he wants. Bright's Hannah Wells, on the other hand, is a quiet songwriter who tends to keep clear of the college party scene. Not a likely pair. Plus, Hannah has a crush on someone else. When Garrett struggles with his philosophy class, he opts to turn to a top student for help, Hannah, and the two strike up a deal; she'll help him with his classwork and he'll help her get who she thinks is the guy of her dreams, Josh Heuston's Justin. However, the longer they fake date in an effort to make Justin jealous, the more evident it becomes that they're actually the perfect fit for one another. In the end, Garrett and Hannah fall for each other, and the viewer falls for them as a couple. The trouble is, Season 2 of Off Campus is based on the second book of Kennedy's series, and that book, The Mistake, has different main characters. Does that mean we'll get a lot less Hannah and Garrett in Off Campus Season 2? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This week on Undressed with Pol' and Patrik, we're taking you inside the world of hip-hop royalty with the incredibly talented Chey Smith, daughter of legendary Wu-Tang Clan icon Method Man. What starts as a hilarious conversation about luxury cars, scratched rims, BMWs, and growing up surrounded by one of music's most iconic families quickly turns into one of our most heartfelt episodes yet. Chey shares what life was really like growing up with Method Man as a father, revealing that despite his superstar status, he was always present for school pickups, family dinners, Halloween parades, bowling nights, and movie outings. We celebrate Wu-Tang Clan's upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction while laughing about whether we'll be sneaking into the Grammy Museum celebration. We discover Chey is much more than "Method Man's daughter." She surprises us with stories about working at Wendy's and Chipotle, earning minimum wage despite coming from rap royalty, graduating with a psychology degree, wanting to become an orthodontist, teaching elementary school, acting, rapping, and building her own career from the ground up. She even treats us to an exclusive freestyle rap featuring Pol', Patrik and SnowWhite90210 that has us laughing from beginning to end. The laughs continue as we dive into dating disasters, luxury hotels, Birkin bags, tattoos with hidden meanings, her beloved dogs Nugget and Bosco, and why pineapples mean friendship... unless they're upside down in Palm Beach! Along the way we swap stories about our own 23-year love story and why knowing someone's hotel matters more than their pickup line. Then everything changes. Pol' performs one of his most emotional Armenian Coffee Readings yet. Immediately spotting a mysterious letter "H," the reading uncovers painful chapters Chey had buried deep inside herself. As the symbols unfold, we discuss toxic relationships, losing your identity while trying to save someone else, learning to stop living in another person's shadow, and finally reclaiming your own purpose. The reading becomes even more emotional when Pol' reveals that someone is constantly praying for her—a revelation that instantly brings thoughts of her incredible mother and leaves all of us fighting back tears. Chey bravely opens up about a past relationship that changed the course of her life, fractured friendships and family dynamics, and forced her to rebuild herself from the inside out. Together, we explore what it means to release people who no longer serve your purpose, embrace your own gifts, and stop being afraid of being truly seen. The guys visit the studio on the heels of the announcement that Red Bull will sponsor both of their cars at Naval Base Coronado. The deal also includes special edition cans of Red Bull featuring Shane and Connor. The guy's chat about the impact Red Bull has had on motorsports and the importance of their return to NASCAR specifically.  Speaking of San Diego, the guys chat about the seemingly daunting course that has been laid out over Naval Base Coronado. Both Shane and Connor have spent time on the simulator to prepare, and they've both paid visits to the site as the course has been under construction. With a length of nearly three-and-a-half miles, the track will be the longest that Cup has competed on since their visit to Road America in 2022. Dale Jr. ponders what NASCAR's protocol on caution periods will be, as laps under yellow will take nearly six minutes to complete. The interview also discusses growing pains in the Cup Series, what each driver learned during their time in the O'Reilly Series, and what is on the horizon for Trackhouse Racing. Spent everything. And nothing had worked. But she had heard about Jesus—and she believed that if she could just get close enough to touch His cloak, she would be healed. And she was. Instantly. But then Jesus stopped and asked, "Who touched me?" The disciples thought it was a silly question—everyone was touching Him! So why did Jesus stop and ask? Today we find out. We also meet Jairus—an important man who falls at Jesus' feet and begs Him to come heal his dying daughter. Jesus agrees and heads that way. But then the news arrives: "Your daughter is dead." We will have to wait until next time to find out what happens next… In This Episode We Talk About: Why Jesus stopped What a superstition is and why Jesus didn't want the woman to have one What faith really means for young kids today How to trust Jesus with the things that feel scary or hard

Doctor Who isn't actually canceled, but its Christmas special is, and we break down what the Doctor Who cancellation news really means and which studio should take the franchise next. From there it's a full geek-news roundtable: DC's villain-driven universe, the real question hanging over Supergirl's box office, a new Transformers movie, and why X-Men '97 has everyone naming the childhood cartoons that deserve the same revival treatment. Frank, Thomas, and Phil also get into the UK's plan to ban under-16s from social media, weighing mental health, parenting, and whether kids will just find the next workaround. The episode closes on a love letter to Dungeon Crawler Carl and weekly picks spanning House of the Dragon, Hacks, Spider-Noir, and Masters of the Universe. If you came for the Doctor Who news, stay for the DCU box office debate and the cartoon revival wishlist. The bigger DC conversation is about redefining what success looks like, comparing projects to the right peers instead of measuring everything against Avengers money. Transformers Siege on Netflix gets a strong endorsement as the best Transformers property since the original. The under-16 social media debate lands on a hard truth: bans push kids toward less-regulated apps, so the conversation is less about restriction and more about mental health. X-Men '97 reopens the floodgates on cartoon revivals, from Gargoyles and Recess to deep cuts like Gummi Bears and Mummies Alive. Dungeon Crawler Carl is the runaway favorite of the episode, with dream casting and puppetry ideas ahead of the Peacock adaptation. Kaleb and I had a really honest conversation about something that's been on our hearts lately: Is Christian social media actually helping people grow in their faith, or could it sometimes be hurting them? We talked about the incredible ways God has used social media to reach people, share the Gospel, and build community, but we also wrestled with the challenges that come with Christian influencing, performative faith, monetizing ministry, comparison, and call-out culture. This conversation was especially personal because we've both experienced different sides of the Christian creator world. We discussed the tension between sharing your faith publicly and keeping your relationship with God authentic and personal. Kaleb opened up about why he sometimes struggles with faith-based content online, while I shared how God has used social media in my own journey and in the lives of so many others. One of our biggest takeaways? Christian influencers can inspire us, but they should never replace our personal relationship with Jesus, our local church, or real-life Christian community. Social media can be an amazing tool, but it should point us back to God—not become the source of our faith. "Ben's PTSD manifested as his alcoholism and his self-destruction as the Spider. ‘I'm just going to go out there and get punched in the face voluntarily, and maybe I'll do some good at the same time.' "— Will FreelandBen Riley didn't become the Spider to save anyone. He did it for the rush, and Spider-Noir on Prime Video is honest enough to build a whole show on that confession. Marvel comics expert Will Freeland joins Matthew Fox to dig into the series: why it works better than either of them expected, how a World War I origin story reframes the cynicism of 1930s noir as something closer to undiagnosed shell shock, and what Nicolas Cage gets right once he settles into the role. They dig into the show's remarkable villain architecture, where almost no one is simply bad, the stealth Black Cat origin hiding inside Li Jun Li's Kat Hardy, and the choice to watch in black and white. What does it mean that Ben's final heroic act is sacrificing the cure he wanted for himself to save the man who has the woman he loves? And can someone who chose heroism for selfish reasons ever really choose it for the right ones?Full show notes and resources: Visit Our SiteConnect with Will Freeland: Twitch · Instagram**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Superhero Ethics, an Ethical Panda podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Have you ever felt the weight of an offense sitting in your chest like a stone, keeping you from the peace you know you're meant to carry? In this episode I sit down with Pastors April and Micahn Carter to get real about the "spirit of offense." We're cutting through the noise to expose how holding onto hurt isn't just a spiritual issue, it's a physical and relational cage. If you've been feeling isolated, exhausted, or stuck, this conversation is your key to freedom. We're breaking down the roots of bitterness and bringing you the spiritual tools to walk in true liberation. In this episode, we dive into: The Roots of Bitterness: Micahn pulls back the curtain on why we get offended—often it's the entitlement, the embarrassment, or the unrealistic expectations we hold over others. The "Proximity" Trap: Why the people closest to us; our church family, our familia, our dearest friends; are the ones who wound us the deepest. Decisional vs. Emotional Forgiveness: We aren't just talking about saying "I forgive you." We're teaching you the difference between the choice to let go of revenge and the daily work of replacing resentment with compassion. Prayer as an Anointing: Learn why it is impossible to stay angry when you are actively, fervently praying for the very people who hurt you. Owning Your Story: True healing starts when we realize we've all been the offender at some point. We discuss how to swallow our pride, listen to the pain behind the conflict, and walk in grace. Grab your Bible, get a cup of coffee, and join @michancarter, @therealaprilcarter and me @biancajuarezofficial as we choose freedom over bondage.
