In Episode 272 of The Business Development Podcast, Kelly sits down with Robert Price, Founder & CEO of Bōde, the peer-to-peer real estate platform that has already facilitated over $1 billion in property transactions. Robert shares how his entrepreneurial roots, experience at Axia NetMedia, and first-hand frustrations with the traditional real estate model led him to launch Bōde. Listeners will hear how the platform empowers buyers and sellers to cut out unnecessary middlemen, save thousands in fees, and take back control of one of life's biggest financial decisions. This episode dives deep into the structural problems of real estate, from broken incentives to outdated processes, and how modernization and technology can reshape the market for the better. Robert also opens up about building a third-generation family business, the pressures of leading a disruptive startup, and the importance of balance, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a homeowner, or someone curious about the future of housing, this conversation will challenge the way you think about buying and selling homes — and why the industry will never be the same.Key Takeaways:1. Disruption only works when customers embrace it — even the best innovations fail without adoption.2. Traditional real estate incentives are broken — agents often make more when buyers overpay.3. Transparency and access to data are the keys to fixing outdated industries.4. Launch fast and iterate — waiting for perfection kills momentum.5. Family businesses often outperform because loyalty drives long-term commitment.6. Bold leadership means bringing stability so teams aren't consumed by highs and lows.7. Great leaders empower their teams to win instead of trying to carry everything themselves.8. AI is reshaping industries by cutting costs and accelerating profitability.9. Tracking your home's value should be as simple as checking a stock ticker.10. Balance isn't fixed — success comes from knowing when to prioritize business and when to prioritize family.

Hyperliquid's USDH ticker set off the most dramatic “RFP” in recent memory. The crew breaks down why Native Markets ran away with validator support, whether the process was theater or strategy, and how the Bake-off became a marketing masterstroke—and potential leverage on Circle. We dig into Polymarket odds, the last‑minute Paxos bribery allegation (denied), and what this means for future “native” stables on Solana, app chains, and beyond. Welcome to The Chopping Block – where crypto insiders Haseeb Qureshi, Tom Schmidt, Tarun Chitra, and Robert Leshner chop it up about the latest in crypto. This week, we're joined by Guy founder of Ethena as a special guest, as a single ticker (USDH) sparked a weeklong spectacle: Hyperliquid's “Bake-off” to award the USDH stablecoin brand. Native Markets surged ahead as validators signaled support, Paxos rallied late with partners and incentives, and Ethena ultimately withdrew. Was this always a vibes‑based beauty contest, or a deliberate move to pressure Circle and re‑route bridge yield? We parse the incentives, the governance, and the market microstructure — and peek at what happens if every big chain/app tries the “native stablecoin” playbook. Show highlights
On this week's episode of Multifamily Mastery, John Casmon interviews Axel Ragnarsson. Axel breaks down his direct to seller playbook for small to mid-size New England multifamily, from dream-list targeting to low-pressure, relationship-first outreach by phone, email, text, and mail to stay top of mind with unsophisticated owners. Axel also unpacks scaling through vertical integration and people, including partnering into property management, hiring an acquisitions manager, and using VAs for asset management, along with tactical tips on list building, skip tracing, channel sequencing, and when to use cold calling versus direct mail. Startups are often portrayed as glamorous—funding rounds, headlines, and overnight success stories. But behind the scenes, founders face sleepless nights, relentless stress, and the loneliness of carrying a company's future on their shoulders. In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, Andrew Ackerman—founder, investor, and author of The Entrepreneur's Odyssey—shares the raw, unfiltered realities of entrepreneurship. From the myth of hustle culture to the emotional toll of leadership, Andrew opens up about the lessons founders rarely hear in business school. This conversation is not just about strategy—it's about resilience, balance, and the human side of building a business. About the Guest Andrew Ackerman is a startup founder, investor, accelerator director, and teacher who has supported and invested in dozens of companies. Drawing from decades of lived experience, he authored The Entrepreneur's Odyssey, a narrative-style guide that explores the emotional and practical challenges of startup life. Andrew blends storytelling with real-world lessons, helping founders understand not only the “how-to” of startups but also what it truly feels like to be in the founder's shoes. Key Takeaways Startup life is often lonely—only other founders fully understand the weight of the journey. Storytelling captures the truth of entrepreneurship better than bullet points or “how-to” guides. Hustle culture is unsustainable; discipline, recovery, and balance matter more than endless hours. Investors respect hustle, but true competitive advantage comes from a strong, defensible business model—not working longer than others. Founders must recognize that startups consume every part of life—conversations, relationships, and even hobbies become filtered through the lens of the company. Building with intention and setting clear roles (even in couple-founded startups) can reduce conflict and improve outcomes. Li Wang Better every day. That's the way I aspire to live. I was born in 1973 in Philadelphia. My parents immigrated from Taipei and my dad's first job out of graduate school was in Philadelphia. I'm a die-hard Eagles fan and being raised in that city has shaped my identity. Hip-hop culture served as my first artistic influence. Run-DMC, Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys shaped how I created my own environment. During the summer of O.J. trial I interned at the Philadelphia Daily News. I became hooked on journalism. I went on to another internship at the Des Moines Register and started my career as a business reporter for the Times of Trenton. I was the arts editor for the Honolulu Weekly and then the film critic for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Website design I could see the end of the print industry so I decided to get a professional certificate in digital marketing from New York University. I started an agency with a partner doing SEO, PPC , content creation and website design. My partner decided to focus on software development and I turned my attention to website design. Today I help small business owners shine online with compelling websites to resonate with their target audiences. Nashville has taken on many titles — Music City, Athens of the South, Smashville and Cashville, but tech bros have coined a new name, “Bitcoin City,” in honor of the thriving crypto community that has formed. The city is home to Bitcoin Magazine, the world's largest web3 media outlet and Bitcoin Park, a globally renowned grassroots crypto community. Last year, Nashville even hosted Bitcoin Conference, the largest crypto conference in the world. In this episode of Climbing the Charts, Angie Lawless and Brandon Miller sit down with the Founder of Bitcoin Park, Rod Roudi, to explore just how Nashville became “Bitcoin City.”

On this edition of 'Will Cain Country,' Will continues to share his reaction to the shocking assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk. Will lays out why Kirk's murder is more than a political headline, it's a cultural turning point that exposes the rising tide of political violence in America, the media's selective outrage, and what it says about our ability to live together in one country. Then, Will is joined by Co-host of ‘The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show' and Founder of OutKick, Clay Travis to analyze how the Left and the press are framing the assassination, the chilling precedent it sets for free speech, and what it means for parents, students, and the future of open debate. Former Major League Baseball All-Star & World Series Champion and Candidate for Congress in TX-21, Mark Teixeira also sits down with Will to bring his perspective as an athlete, a parent, and a citizen. This episode covers the extreme perseverance and the stubborn genius of James Dyson. Dyson has a business philosophy which is very different from anything you might have encountered before. A philosophy which demands difference from what exists and retention of total control. For almost four decades, James Dyson has been building one of the most valuable privately-held companies in the world. A company he owns without shareholders — and one that is centered around an obsession with the quality of the product above all. I spent well over 70 hours reading (and rereading) both Against the Odds and Invention: A Life of Learning Through Failure. These books tell the story of the vision of a single man, pursued with dogged determination, that was nothing less than obsession. Those standing up to climate and environmental injustice face challenges they weren't seeing a year ago. But Gloria Walton, head of The Solutions Project, sees a bigger picture: "The reality is that the same systems that created the climate crisis, whether that's colonialism, white supremacy, racism, and the patriarchy, those are the same ones that have harmed communities of color for generations,” she says. So what should employers be doing, and how can they prepare for 2026? My guest this week is Neil Costa, Founder and CEO of HireClicks. In our conversation, Neil reveals the stark reality of where most organizations actually are with their recruitment marketing efforts and offers some valuable advice on how they should be moving forward. In the interview, we discuss: The current challenges in recruitment marketing How employers need to stand out and appeal to a multigenerational audience Overreliance on Indeed and LinkedIn The role of search and social AI optimisation Getting a competitive talent advantage Keeping marketing momentum with reduced budgets The vital importance of metrics and ROI The importance of authenticity Dynamic personalization and the role of career sites What does the future look like Follow this podcast on Apple Podcasts. In episode 288 of FNO: InsureTech, Cameron MacArthur, Founder and CEO of AI Insurance, returns to share how his company, operating for over seven years, has navigated dramatic changes in insurance through the practical application of artificial intelligence. Drawing on experiences since Y Combinator in 2019, Cameron discusses the platform's growth to more than 100 specialty and commercial insurance programs, and offers specific examples where AI replaces manual tasks, such as data extraction and invoice processing. The conversation also addresses the shifting insurance landscape, evolving customer expectations, and the leadership challenges of adopting automation while retaining vital insurance expertise. Key Highlights AI Insurance recorded 150% growth in the past year, now supporting more than 100 programs for MGAs, MGUs, captives, and risk retention groups. Cameron describes AI's effectiveness in automating loss-run data import, handling invoices, and migrating complex data—with internal tests and client experiences indicating accuracy and time savings compared to manual processes. The rise of MGAs and MGUs is reshaping the market, with premium volume in this sector doubling since 2020, while traditional carriers and captives remain static or decline. Modern SaaS and AI solutions have reduced the barriers and costs of launching insurance programs, enabling new entities to go live in weeks rather than months. Cameron details a significant change in client expectations: prospects increasingly seek direct access to AI, APIs, and custom tooling, reflecting greater technical familiarity within insurance operations. Leadership must recognize and address staff concerns as automation alters job scopes, emphasizing the need for communication, retraining, and a continued focus on deep insurance knowledge. Cameron shares personal perspectives on the ongoing complexity of insurance, the rewards of continued learning, and the realities of leading sustainable growth. These three leaders, who have known each other for many years, explore the dynamic relationship between apostolic, prophetic, and pastoral gifts within the body of Christ. With refreshing honesty, they discuss how each office brings unique perspectives that are essential for building healthy church cultures, and share personal stories of their journey from misunderstanding to deeply valuing each other's gifts. Join us as they pull back the curtain on Bethel's leadership transition, revealing the beautiful yet challenging process of fathers making room for the next generation to build. Whether you're a church leader or simply interested in healthy spiritual community, this conversation offers invaluable wisdom on how different leadership gifts can work together to create environments where people truly thrive.
