As a tribute to the dearly departed composer of "The X-Files," Annie & Jenn are re-running our episode discussing our Top Ten Mark Snow cues from the show.  

Three key details inform us that the recent, 2017 and onward, reporting on the UFO/UAP is nothing but a rewriting of the historical narrative using archaic psychological military-intelligence scripts. One, that AATIP spent only $22 million on research between 2012 and 2017, which pales in comparison with government waste, especially for a subject so critical for air safety and national security. Two, the curated cases investigated by the ODNI and DOD-AARO ignore countless credible global reports about the same. Three, the nature of the reporting and investigation are methods of “education” and “debunking” as laid out by the intelligence and military communities back in a 1953 Report called Robertson Panel. Compare that report with statements from the ODNI today:“That the evidence presented on Unidentified Flying Objects shows no indication that these phenomena constitute a direct physical threat to national security...”The ODNI reports says, “UAP continue to represent a hazard to flight safety and pose a possible adversary collection threat,” a standard policy for what cannot be identified; but the conclusion that these are only “potential risks” indicates that the risks “it poses as both a safety of flight hazard and potential adversarial activity,” are only potential. There is no actual threat. “We suggest that these aims may be achieved by an integrated program designed to reassure the public of the total lack of evidence of Inimical forces behind the phenomenon, to train personnel to recognize and reject false indications quickly and effectively, and to strengthen regular channels for the evaluation of and prompt reaction to true indications of hostile measures.”The ODNI report says, “AARO has been established as the DoD focal point for UAP... AARO is the single focal point for all DoD UAP efforts, leading a whole-of-government approach to coordinate UAP collection, reporting, and analysis efforts.” In other words, the ODNI statement is a public relations campaign equivalent to the quote above.“That the national security agencies take immediate steps to strip the Unidentified Flying Objects of the special status they have been given and the aura of mystery they have unfortunately acquired…”This is precisely the goal of AARO and the reclassification of UFO to UAP, which relates to the next line from the 1953 report: “The Panel's concept of a broad educational program integrating efforts of all concerned agencies was that it should have two major aims: training and ‘debunking'.”It says that the, “basis of such education would be actual case histories which had been puzzling at first but later explained... Recent cases are probably much more susceptible to explanation than older ones; first, because of ATIC's experience and, secondly, their knowledge of most plausible explanations.”And this is why the Tic Tac has been so popular; the story is old enough to remain distant from proper investigation, but new enough to provoke interest. With the declaration by Ross Coulthart that the object is Lockheed Martin technology, the UAP movement has fulfilled the 1953 agenda. A recent case with a history, at first seen as puzzling but then later explained. The 1953 report further suggested employing psychologists, including Dr. Hadley Cantril, who wrote the study of the panic that followed the Orson Welles WOW broadcast in 1938, a story that took place in the area where the recent New Jersey drone sightings also occurred. When the Pentagon's UFO Mythology script was leaked in 2025, coupled with the AARO discovery that the USAF gave fake classified material to commanders, it became clear that all the congressional investigations were nothing short of a ruse. The discrediting of the whistleblowers did not so much discredit them as it did the role they served. The 2025 Pentagon UAP report reinforced these revelations. The narrative circle is complete. People got too close to UFOs 75 years ago, so the military and intelligence communities intervened to spread dis and mis information, and also to cover up their own programs. The narrative has been re-introduced in 2017 so that it can be misdirected again.Following this up is the revelation of a black goo substance found by a ship captain in Ohio. Is it in anyway related to the Sukunaarchaeum Mirabile (Sukuna-biko-na)? Analysis indicates that it contains “20 DNA sequences,” one of which was completely novel. In the X Files this is the vehicle for an alien virus; in Alien, including Prometheus, it is the life force of the xenomorph and what created mankind; in Venom it is an alien parasite; in District 9 it is a alien bio-agent; in Lucy it represents the merging of consciousness with machines; in Event Horizon it is a portal to hell. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. The Antarctica Effect is a series of stories from lost ecosystems and strange radio signals to pyramids that have been published as just happening, when a quick online search will prove that these same stories have appeared over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. In some instances going back over a decade in the case of the Antarctica pyramid. Due to its remoteness and extreme environment, few ever venture there with few exceptions for science or military projects. Several countries have territorial claims in the ice; others have research stations. It is the perfect location to set a science fiction story, a tale of desolation and horror, or a theory of UFOs and lost civilization. In 1936 H.P. Lovecraft published “At he Mountains of Madness”; two years later in 1938 a book called “Who Goes There?” was published; that same year Neuschwabenland was explored by Germany; in 1951 “The Thing from Another World” was released, based on the 1938 book, which lead to the 1982 movie “The Thing”; In 1998 The X Files movie released; and in 2008 a mocking documentary was published online with images that became source material for Antarctica conspiracy theories. Those theories expanded after Lake Vostok produced evidence of 3,500 different species, resulting in leading authorities visiting the icy world; this story was later substituted with authorities traveling to see the UFO in ice, the same one from that mocking documentary. Then whistleblowers surfaced talking about weapons and technology that were already public knowledge, leading to a thought that perhaps there is something there and people, for the wrong reasons, were getting close, thus requiring the presence of disinformation and misinformation agents, just as the pentagon used UFOs to cover up development of the F-117.*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2651 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today, we begin a new focus on this 2nd of 16 segments of our Theology Thursday lessons. I will read through the book Supernatural, written by Hebrew Bible scholar, professor, and mentor, the late Dr. Michael S. Heiser. Supernatural is a condensed version of his comprehensive book ‘The Unseen Realm.' If these readings pique your interest, I would recommend that you read ‘The Unseen Realm.' Today, we will read through chapter two: ‘The Unseen Realm: God and the Gods.' People are fascinated by the supernatural and the superhuman. Just think about the entertainment industry in recent years. Thousands of books, television shows, and movies from the past decade have explored themes such as angels, aliens, monsters, demons, ghosts, witches, magic, vampires, werewolves, and superheroes. Many of Hollywood's blockbuster franchises feature the supernatural: the X-Men, the Avengers, the Harry Potter series, Superman, and the Twilight Saga. Television shows like Fringe, and, of course, Supernatural and The X-Files, have dedicated followings even long after filming new episodes ends. And really, haven't these things always been popular—in tales, in books, in art? Why? One answer is that they're an escape from the ordinary. They offer us a world that's more interesting and exciting than our own. There's something about good versus evil, magnified on a cosmic scale, that thrills us. The epic struggle by the heroes of Middle-earth (Gandalf, Frodo, and company) against the Dark Lord Sauron in The Lord of the Rings trilogy has captivated readers (and now moviegoers) for over half a century now. The more otherworldly the villain, the more spectacular the triumph. On another level, people are drawn to other worlds because, as the book of Ecclesiastes puts it, God has “put eternity into [our] hearts” (Eccl. 3:11). There's something about the human condition that longs for something beyond human experience—something divine. The Apostle Paul also wrote about this yearning. He taught that it comes from just being alive in the world God has made. The creation bears witness to a creator, and, therefore, to a realm beyond our own (Rom. 1:18–23). Paul said this impulse was so powerful that it had to be willfully suppressed (v. 18). And yet we don't seem to think of the epic story of the Bible in the same way we think of our own tales of the supernatural in books, movies, and legend. There are reasons for that, and they go beyond the lack of special effects. For some, the Bible's characters are too ordinary or grandfatherly. They don't feel dynamic or heroic. After all, these are the same people and the same stories we've been hearing since Sunday school as kids. Then there's the cultural barrier. It's hard for us to identify with what seems like an endless parade of ancient shepherds and men wearing robes, like so many actors in your church's nativity play. But I think an even bigger factor in why science fiction or supernatural fantasy captures our imagination more...

RHLSTP Book Club #141 - All the Colours of the Dark - Rich talks to the inspiring author of All The Colours Of The Dark, Chris Whitaker, about his fantastically engaging and impressive novel. They chat about how someone from Hertfordshire has ended up writing such an authentic book about America in the 20th Century, his writing process and why he spent a year just writing dialogue between the main characters, how you approach writing about dark subjects such as child abduction and murder in a respectful way, whether he was inspired by the X Files for one character in particular and Chris still works in Bishops Stortford library. Chris also talks very openly about his own troubled childhood and how this has informed the novel, but also led to him becoming a writer and how surreal journey of having bestselling novels, meeting Presidents and getting this book made into a huge TV series. A graduate from California State University, Long Beach in journalism, he spent 5 years working for Surfing Magazine and became Senior Editor. He went on to work for Walt Disney Studios and was eventually hired at Fox, where his groundbreaking series won a Golden Globe Award and ran for 11 seasons. It was later adapted into a successful feature film. We welcome the creator of The X-Files, Mr. Chris Russell Carter.
