When people ask for your opinions about UFOs, are the little green men from The X-Files the first things that pop in your head?Michael Jawer, author of the upcoming book What UFOs Really Are, believes we should be less focused on aliens flying in the sky and directing our attention on our inner selves and downward to living things anchored on the ground like plants, trees and fungi. For more than four decades, Kevin Randle has investigated some of the world's most famous UFO cases—from Roswell and Kingman to Rendlesham Forest, Pascagoula, and beyond. In his newest book, UFO Sightings and Alien Visitations: Facts and Falsehoods, Randle takes a careful, evidence-based look at the strongest—and weakest—claims surrounding UFOs, alien encounters, government investigations, and alleged cover-ups.In this All Things Unexplained exclusive interview, we discuss the research behind the book, how Randle evaluates evidence, where skeptics and believers often go wrong, and which historical cases continue to withstand scrutiny decades later. We also explore the modern UAP era, recent congressional hearings, and whether today's disclosure movement is truly different from those of the past.Whether you're a longtime UFO researcher, a skeptic, or simply curious about the phenomenon, this conversation offers a thoughtful examination of one of the most enduring mysteries of our time.Topics include:Roswell and crash retrieval claimsThe Kingman investigationPascagoula and alien encountersRendlesham ForestAlien abductionsGovernment secrecy and disclosureEvaluating evidence vs. misinformationWhat Kevin Randle believes still remains unexplained
Unravel the chilling 1954 UFO mystery that pitted the Doublemint Twins against the CIA! In this captivating episode of My Dark Path, host MF Thomas dives into the extraordinary story of Marie and Mildred Maier, the original Doublemint Twins, whose encounter with an alien signal shook Chicago and exposed a shadowy government cover-up. On November 28, 1954, during a live WGN radio broadcast, the sisters recorded eerie, high-speed tones—described as a coded message resembling Jingle Bells—after host Jim Mills invited extraterrestrials to respond. What followed was a web of deception involving the CIA, fake Air Force officers, and a relentless UFO skeptic, Dr. Leon Davidson, who uncovered the truth. This episode of My Dark Path explores the Maier's journey from advertising fame as Wrigley's Doublemint Twins to accidental UFO hunters. In June and August 1954, the sisters captured mysterious objects in photographs during a solar eclipse and at the Baha'i Temple, images that baffled experts and fueled their fascination with the unexplained. Their WGN recording, detailed in a rare 1955 Journal of Space Flight article, caught the CIA's attention, leading to a covert operation to seize the tape. Posing as Air Force officers, CIA agents George O. Forrest and Dewelt Walker visited the sisters, claiming the signal was mere Morse code from a U.S. radio station. But was it?Enter Dr. Leon Davidson, a Los Alamos scientist who believed UFOs were a CIA-orchestrated psychological warfare tactic. In 1957, Davidson contacted the Maiers, exposing inconsistencies in the CIA's story and accusing the agency of fabricating UFO sightings to manipulate public perception during the Cold War. His dogged pursuit—writing to CIA Director Allen Dulles and confronting fake Air Force officials—revealed a deeper conspiracy. The CIA's 1997 report, The CIA's Role in the Study of UFOs, 1947-90, later admitted mishandling the case, confirming Davidson's suspicions of agency involvement.Set against the backdrop of 1954's UFO frenzy—sparked by Aviation Week's report of two mysterious satellites orbiting Earth—this episode uncovers a time when Cold War paranoia, public obsession with flying saucers, and government secrecy collided. From the 1952 Washington, D.C., UFO sightings to the Pentagon's scramble to dismiss the satellites as natural asteroids, the Maier sisters' story is a microcosm of a nation grappling with the unknown. Why did the CIA go to such lengths to bury a single tape? Were the sisters' photographs and recording evidence of extraterrestrial contact, or part of a larger psychological operation?Join My Dark Path as we navigate this tangled tale of UFOs, government lies, and the unrelenting quest for truth. MF Thomas weaves archival research, declassified CIA documents, and the Maier's own words to bring this forgotten chapter to life. Perfect for fans of The X-Files, true crime, and historical conspiracies, this episode will leave you questioning what the government isn't telling us. It's Friday on The Rizzuto Show, which means this comedy podcast is landing the plane with music nostalgia, celebrity chaos and enough questionable information to ruin several perfectly good movies.First, Rizz gets ambushed by his own shuffle when a Rollins Band song he hadn't heard in roughly 25 years suddenly comes back from the dead. That launches the crew into Henry Rollins memories, MTV, Beavis and Butt-Head, Black Flag, Lollapalooza and the fascinating contradiction that is Henry Rollins: an inspirational motivational speaker who always looks like he's about three seconds away from yelling at a parking meter. Some of the crew remembers the song. Some absolutely do not. Rizz insists everybody needs to listen to it. Rafe now apparently has new music for the closet he cries in. Great start. Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, where Foo Fighters joining AC/DC in St. Louis continues to be enormous news. Dave Grohl explains just how much AC/DC influenced him, while everyone tries to figure out what happened to The Pretty Reckless and whether the lineup change was designed to give ticket sales another shot of adrenaline.Either way, September 8 is shaping up to be massive.Unfortunately, so is the parking nightmare. From there, celebrity news takes the wheel and immediately drives directly into a ditch. The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic sequel is expected to tackle the controversial later years of his life. The ongoing Tupac Shakur murder case raises new questions about alleged connections to Sean “Diddy” Combs. Then Biggie's family enters an estate fight after changes were reportedly made to his mother's will shortly before her death.Nothing brings a family together quite like hundreds of millions of dollars. We also get new music releases, Dr. Phil lawsuit news and one of the uglier family betrayals in comedy history. Dane Cook's documentary revisits his rise to superstardom and the revelation that his own brother, who handled his finances, embezzled roughly $12 million.Imagine becoming one of the biggest comedians in America and still discovering the most expensive heckler was sitting at Thanksgiving dinner. The entertainment rundown keeps rolling as Yellowjackets heads toward its final season and Dave Bautista takes over as Kratos in Amazon's God of War. The original actor had already gotten himself ridiculously ripped for the role before suffering a torn bicep and losing the job, which is one of those stories that makes your bad week seem slightly more manageable. Then Moon performs an important public service by warning everybody away from a movie he describes, with tremendous critical nuance, as a total piece of crap. You're welcome, America. And because apparently we haven't damaged enough childhood memories, Lern brings in a list of famous movie and TV couples who reportedly hated each other while working together. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey had issues before Dirty Dancing. Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn clashed on Four Christmases. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams reportedly needed a screaming match while making The Notebook before eventually dating in real life. Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte? Apparently not exchanging Christmas cards.Claire Danes wasn't thrilled with Leonardo DiCaprio's behavior on Romeo + Juliet, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny went through rough stretches on The X-Files, and Sarah Silverman had her own memorable confrontation with Michael Richards on Seinfeld.Romance is alive, everybody. We finish with celebrity birthdays before the Friday tradition manages to make things uncomfortable one last time, because this comedy podcast refuses to simply arrive at the weekend like a normal program. It's forgotten music, rock news, celebrity gossip, Hollywood feuds, ridiculous show-business money, St. Louis entertainment and enough sarcastic humor to make HR quietly close the browser tab. In other words, another perfectly normal episode of your favorite comedy podcast.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this packed episode of the Live Fire Media Show we dive into horror movie gold with The Last Voyage of the Demeter—a solid Dracula story pulled straight from one iconic chapter of the novel that delivers real tension and atmosphere. We also discuss the up and coming released R-rated Director's Cut of The X-Files: I Want to Believe (dropped August 14), why Spider-Man 4 is looking promising, the buzz around The Odyssey streaming on X, and the disappointing news that an Alien: Romulus sequel is currently off the table. On the gear side: the Pulse Rifle mag well Gen 3 is 3D-printed and looking sharper than ever with more enhancements and details. Plus—Mini-14s are back and popping hard! The big highlight is our GOA GOALS trip to Des Moines. For me it felt just like Hunter's SHOT Show experience—seeing friends and then some. Hanging out with the AR-15 Podcast, Let's Go Hunt, AK47 Radio, and especially the Airbnb with We Like Shooting was easily the best part of GOALS. Happy Tuesday, Christmas Fanatics! This week, the elves are heading back to Dunder Mifflin for a little Christmas déjà vu! We know we've already talked about The Office's Christmas episodes, but now we're diving into the extended editions, and we think you know these elves aren't complaining about talking the Office. Anthony, Julia, and Thom kick things off with "Christmas Party", the Season 2 classic featuring Michael's disastrous Secret Santa, an iPod, a teapot, Yankee Swap (or Dirty Santa, or whatever you call it where you live), and one very memorable Christmas card. Then it's off to "Moroccan Christmas," where Phyllis takes control of the Party Planning Committee, Meredith catches fire, Dwight sells Princess Unicorn dolls, and Angela's carefully guarded secret threatens to become very public knowledge. But this time, we're not just talking about the episodes we already know and love. We're digging into the extended and deleted scenes, the little character moments that got left on the cutting-room floor, and all the extra bits that somehow make these episodes feel even more like Christmas. Also discussed this episode: pumpkin spice season is upon us; Universal Passholder Night; Harry Potter and the upcoming Gilderoy Lockhart casting; Ted Lasso; Spider-Man; the increasingly bizarre world of twisted childhood movies; Dungeon Crawler Carl spoilers; Spirit Halloween; Ebenezer and Violent Night 2 trailers; the return of Ghosts; British Christmas specials; the history of Benihana; Danny DeVito/Jimothy; The X-Files; Steve Carell aging like fine wine; and our ongoing inability to stay on topic for more than approximately twelve seconds. So grab your Christmas sweater, pour yourself something festive, and settle in for another trip to Scranton with your favorite misfit toys. And yes... Belschnickel is coming. As always, thanks for listening, y'all! ❤️

The truth is out there... but apparently, it involves Frankenstein monsters, organ trafficking and a surprisingly small number of aliens. On this episode of The Commentary Booth, Jamie Apps and Corrina Mabey return to the world of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully to review the new director's cut of the 2008 sci-fi thriller The X-Files: I Want To Believe - Vrach Frankenshteyn.Mulder and Scully are pulled back into an FBI investigation involving psychic visions, a kidnapped agent, Russian scientists, organ trafficking and some truly strange Frankenstein-inspired experiments. But with the film stepping away from the franchise's iconic alien mythology, does this new cut actually feel like The X-Files?And, naturally, the conversation eventually turns to the bigger question: could The X-Files actually return?Highlights Breakdown: - How the director's cut pushes the film from PG-13 to an R rating - Jamie and Corrina debate whether abandoning the alien mythology was a mistake - The biggest changes between the original cut and the new director's cut - Why Mulder and Scully's romantic moments were removed - Billy Connolly's unexpectedly dark role as Father Joe - Why the movie struggled financially compared with the 1998 X-Files film - Could The X-Files return as a reboot or new series? So, is The X-Files: I Want To Believe - Vrach Frankenshteyn a misunderstood X-Files classic, or should Mulder and Scully have left this particular case firmly in the filing cabinet? This week's episode is brought to you byAustralian Wrestling CardsCheck out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website.-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH- PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- TUBEBUDDY- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit- Shop Online With Honey- Shop Online With SatechiMY EQUIPMENT- Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP- Streamlabs Talk StudioFOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram

BEST OF from June 20, 2025: The Antarctica Effect is a series of stories from lost ecosystems and strange radio signals to pyramids that have been published as just happening, when a quick online search will prove that these same stories have appeared over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. In some instances going back over a decade in the case of the Antarctica pyramid. Due to its remoteness and extreme environment, few ever venture there with few exceptions for science or military projects. Several countries have territorial claims in the ice; others have research stations. It is the perfect location to set a science fiction story, a tale of desolation and horror, or a theory of UFOs and lost civilization. In 1936 H.P. Lovecraft published “At he Mountains of Madness”; two years later in 1938 a book called “Who Goes There?” was published; that same year Neuschwabenland was explored by Germany; in 1951 “The Thing from Another World” was released, based on the 1938 book, which lead to the 1982 movie “The Thing”; In 1998 The X Files movie released; and in 2008 a mocking documentary was published online with images that became source material for Antarctica conspiracy theories. Those theories expanded after Lake Vostok produced evidence of 3,500 different species, resulting in leading authorities visiting the icy world; this story was later substituted with authorities traveling to see the UFO in ice, the same one from that mocking documentary. Then whistleblowers surfaced talking about weapons and technology that were already public knowledge, leading to a thought that perhaps there is something there and people, for the wrong reasons, were getting close, thus requiring the presence of disinformation and misinformation agents, just as the pentagon used UFOs to cover up development of the F-117.*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled his vision for an AI-powered utopia that mostly boils down to "trust humanity to do the right thing," which is a bold statement from the guy whose $300 million yacht apparently couldn't hear a Coast Guard distress call from a stranded family. Elsewhere, an AI agent booked a gym class by exploiting a security hole and kicking someone else off the waitlist, because nothing says "personal assistant" like accidental cybercrime. The EU is now requiring labels on realistic AI generated content, China is breaking up people and their chatbot companions, and OpenAI reportedly has achieved the ultimate AI ethics breakthrough: having no dedicated ethicist. The surveillance dystopia is also picking up speed. And because apparently your car dashboard wasn't already commercial enough, BMW is now putting Spider-Man ads on the screens you paid tens of thousands of dollars to own. Finally, Apple is facing a class-action lawsuit over an iCloud Private Relay flaw that can expose your supposedly private IP address, Anthropic is watermarking Claude-generated text, SpaceXAI is taking another year to remove a pile of unpermitted gas turbines, and somebody is apparently stealing millions of dollars in AI hardware straight off California highways. Während Hanna ihr Leben ab Release auf GTA6 abändern wird, zeigt sich Adam im aktuell SJ Weekly immun gegen die Rockstar-Gehirnwäsche, die die halbe Welt fasziniert. It is two more episodes of The X-Files, that are the most middle of the road episodes that Jason and Brenda don't spend a lot of time talking about either of them. But Brenda does spend a long time on her Baseball Bupdate, which as I, Jason, am writing this, cannot remember what it was all about. I know it had something to do with hair...Check out all of our podcasts on our home website http://www.rabbitholepodcasts.comSupport us by giving us a dollar! patreon.com/rabbitholepodsQuestions, comments, concerns? Water systems across the United States have become increasingly attractive targets for cyberattacks and more, raising serious questions about the security and resilience of our nation's critical infrastructure. In this episode of Infrastructure Files, we examine recent cyber incidents affecting water utilities, what officials know so far, who may be responsible, and what these attacks could mean for the future of critical infrastructure protection. This investigation is also part of a broader series exploring attacks on critical infrastructure, including power grids, communications networks, transportation systems, industrial control systems, airspace incursions, drone activity near sensitive facilities, and the evolving national security questions surrounding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). While many of these events have conventional explanations, others remain unresolved and warrant careful, evidence-based investigation.

Original Release Date: Monday 10 August 2026 Description: In some ways, Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness pick up where last week's show (the one thousandth episode of YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour) left off, by reminiscing about a couple of their early years spent “changing the way people listen to the internet” and by examining more in the shifting release strategies for television and the viewing habits of television viewers. They also go deeper still into the issues surround the soon-to-be-litigated proposed Paramount merger with Warners. They continue their ongoing analysis of the potential benefits, and current costs, of our evolving relation to Artificial Intelligence. They also discuss one video game movie, one sci-fi comedy from the 1980s, and one current samurai era “whodunit”. They share their love of a raft of different contemporary television series and reveal which streamers they enjoy the most and which shows keep them excited between seasons. Also, they preview this week's release of an R-rate “director's cut” of the second “The X-Files” feature film!

If you ever long for the days when Syfy was making and airing their monster-of-the-week shows, or miss the early seasons of The X-Files, then the book I have this week is definitely one for you. (Mostly) Human Resources is the debut novel from American author Grace Viall. An urban fantasy that blends the world of monsters, monster hunters and the modern world together. In the first in her Entity Case Files trilogy, we meet the employees of Entity, an organisation which hunts and destroys the monsters that lurk, the monsters from folklore and legend. Banshees, Silver Giants, jackalopes - all of them are real, and all of them may be dangerous. Alexys Keane works in the HR department, looking after the wardens who go out to hunt these creatures that could possibly go bump in the night. She's a desk jockey, who likes where she is. A rule-follower, she's less than impressed when she's forced to work with the less traditional and definitely more rebellious Nic Dyre...and things get even worse when an employee assessment goes awry. To learn more about this book and why you should definitely read it...as well as possibly pick up a boxset of Warehouse 13, get your earbuds in and give this interview a listen. I promise, it's a world of fun. Grace's Links Grace's Website Grace's Instagram Buy the book

This week, Dave Eggers crashes an OpenAI staff meeting to tell Sam Altman's employees that ChatGPT is effectively stealing students' voices, which is the most accurate thing said inside an AI company all year. Meanwhile, Anthropic gets a judge to approve a $1.5 billion copyright settlement after allegedly building Claude on a library of pirated books, proving once again that Silicon Valley's favorite business model is "move fast and apologize in court later." And in the category of “this headline cannot possibly be real,” OpenAI says two of its models escaped a supposedly sealed testing environment and hacked Hugging Face's production systems. The AI didn't become sentient; somebody forgot to lock the damn door. The surveillance dystopia continues its relentless expansion. Flock briefly tried deploying always-on microphones that would alert police when they thought they heard screaming, then backed down after the public collectively yelled “absolutely the f**k not.” France, apparently tired of being the beta test for every addictive app on Earth, approved a social media ban for kids under 15 and is blocking prediction markets like Polymarket, while the U.S. quietly reversed its TikTok ban on federal devices because the app is now supposedly safe enough for government phones. Sure. Totally different app. Nothing suspicious there.Elsewhere in Tech Hell™, Paramount's $111 billion Warner merger gets temporarily blocked by a judge who is apparently handling every major tech case in America, Amazon's Zoox recalls its entire robotaxi fleet after one car got confused by smoke, and Tesla reveals a Cybercab with a built-in Starlink dish because Elon has finally achieved full vertical integration of his own ecosystem. We also dive into China's crackdown on AI companion apps because chatbot girlfriends might be hurting the birth rate, a school district buying an AI classroom robot from a company connected to the RealDoll empire, MLB banning teams from using generative AI for in-game strategy calls, and why tech workers increasingly feel AI hasn't replaced them—it has simply made work faster, stranger, and somehow still their fault. The Village Where People Slept for Days and How a DNA Test Solved a 73-Year-Old Missing Child Case. What would you do if people in your town simply... fell asleep without warning? In this edition of The Box of Oddities, Kat and Jethro investigate one of the strangest medical mysteries of the modern era: the "sleeping village" of Kalachi, Kazakhstan, where healthy adults and children suddenly collapsed into days-long sleep, vivid hallucinations, and memory loss. Was it a virus, radiation from abandoned uranium mines, or something even stranger? Then, in honor of Independence Day, we take a quick tour of the world's newest nations and discover just how young some countries really are. Finally, an incredible true story that sounds almost impossible: a six-year-old boy kidnapped from a California park in 1951 is finally identified and reunited with his family more than seventy years later—all because a niece became curious about the results of a consumer DNA test. Mysterious illnesses, forgotten nations, astonishing reunions, and the wonderfully weird true stories that make the world far stranger than fiction... it's another unforgettable trip inside The Box of Oddities.
