The Business Method Podcast: High-Performance & Entrepreneurship
Those people in the world with personal brands are unique individuals. Personal brands come a few different ways. One, a person can create success in their personal life, and then they make a brand out of that influence they've gained, thus becoming a personal brand. Think Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, they're all so successful at their own trade, that the world in a way forces them to become a personal brand. Then there is another type of personal brand, and it comes from someone who has something inside of them and it is so strong they want and need to share it with the world. They are natural creators. Joe Rogan would be a good example of this, he started his podcast with no outside influence, he just wanted to have great conversations with great people. This group of people with a personal brand have so much to give and are so good at it, that when they start sharing, it could be through videos, books, audio, blogs or whatever means they choose, it naturally starts to take off, and people follow. That is today's guest. His name is Preston Smiles, and when he was in his mid-20's he started helping people. He noticed people would come up to him and naturally ask for help and support. Eventually, more and more people came and he got overwhelmed with the time strain so he created a YouTube channel to help people answer their questions. He then began making inspirational videos, he started a community called the LoveMob where the group went around and did random acts of kindness and flash mobs. His channel and brand grew to where he could begin monetizing by writing books, and starting groups that help people, and empowering others to take action in their lives. Preston is now the author of two books, has a very successful YouTube channel, he has approximately 150k followers on Facebook, 224k on Instagram, he's been interviewed on a few of the top mindset & entrepreneurial podcasts in the world including ImpactTheory and Lewis Howes podcast. He runs a podcast himself, and runs multiple empowerment groups like Amplify, Kaboom Coaching, Stretch 22, and M-Powered Brotherhood. Today on the podcast, Preston and I are going to talk to those of you that have a personal brand inside of them, and how you can let it out! 03:55 Who is Preston Smiles? 08:31 The 4 Stages of Consciousness 13:10 The Early Days of Preston's Personal Brand 17:32 Staying in Alignment with Oneself 24:25 As a Creator - How Do You Give Your Brand to the World 29:05 How is a Terrible Question to Ask 39:25 Tapping Into the Work You Should be Doing Contact Info: Website: https://prestonsmiles.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PrestonSmilesSpeaks/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/prestonsmiles/ Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-preston-smiles-show/id1572721878 Subscribe to the Podcast:

Seems scary and limited, but that's essentially the situation that our brains find themselves in — locked in our skulls, with only the limited information from a few unreliable sensory modalities to tell them what's going on inside. Neuroscientist David Eagleman has long been interested in how the brain processes that sensory input, and also how we might train it to learn completely new ways of accessing the outside world, with important ramifications for virtual reality and novel brain/computer interface techniques.Support Mindscape on Patreon.David Eagleman received his Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Baylor College of Medicine. To get the things we need to be completed quickly, efficiently, and to reach our full potential we must know what to think on; 2 corinthians 10 v 5 tells us to refute arguments, theories, reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ. Did you know that you are capable of so much more than you are doing now? Romans 12:2 states to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed, changed by the entire renewal of your mind, so that you may prove for yourselves what is the good and acceptable and the perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you. Tapping Into the Full Potential. Do you ever complete a project and then do it over again when you realized you made many silly little mistakes? Most of the time we laugh at ourselves and wonder what we were thinking, but it sure would be nice to get things done in one try without having to re-do tasks over and over again. This is all the more reason we need to constantly improve our thinking so we can accomplish things faster with the least amount of effort. Turn off the distracting chatter The first thing you need to do when you want to tap into your full potential is to turn off the noise. Philippians 4 v 8 tells us to think on; whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honourable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there are any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things, to fix your minds on them. The reference to noise isn't necessarily the music playing in the room or the television you have on in the background, it's the noise in your mind! Make a Prioritized List The next strategy is to prioritize the items you really need to do right away. Being able to create a plan of attack will help you to reach the potential of your abilities when you need them the most. You will be able to focus on the task at hand when you know that everything has its place on paper. This will enable you to devote your time to what you are doing so you can enjoy your work without worrying about what's up ahead. You'll also be more efficient and effective when it comes to completing the tasks in front of you since everything will have its own time and place. Philippians 4 v 6 tells us to not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Set your mind on what is above. Another great way to tap into your full potential is to use affirmations, to turn off the negative inner dialogue that you have running through your head and replace it with positive thoughts to keep you moving forward. Colossians 3v2 tells us to set our minds and keep them set on what is above, the higher things, not on the things that are on the earth. Many of us don't realize how ineffective negative thoughts make us. These thoughts can distract us and keep us from doing the things we want or need to do. An affirmation such as, “My lasting success is my focus” can help you tap into your confidence so you can get things done. Over time, using these principles will turn off any negative thoughts so you can accomplish more and reach greater levels of success. Roy Clayton. Uberesult.com
It’s that time of year again, when I remember my late daughter Teal whose death reminds me all that is great about living. Sound counter-intuitive? That’s because Teal was a very unusual person. She knew more about joy and happiness, than most anyone you’ll meet. And I continue to learn from her. I begin this show by reading an essay I wrote, Tapping Into the Joy of Life (in memory of Teal), in which I share that intrinsic joy she had. Then we move on to talk about ‘super charging’ your life with a woman who knows just how to do this. We cover: * Tapping Into the Industry of Opportunity * What You Want to Avoid Assuming * Exactly How Fast (it's fast) You Can be Profiting from Your Passion And much more Alisa Wilcox I started my company in 2010 after deciding that I didn't want so spend my days peering out a window from my cubicle, wishing for days spent traveling, discovering new adventures and using my passions to create a company that lit me up and made me money. Was that even possible? YEP! As a Social Media consultant, I was designing and managing Social Media for small-med sized companies in 2010. And it was awesome. I worked remotely, chose my clients carefully and finally felt free. But something was missing... I LOVED my company, but it lacked systems. And it also lacked MAJOR revenue streams. I knew I was leaving money on the table, but I didn't know how to figure out how to automate my systems and how to increase the revenue without burning out or adding more hours to my work day. So, after spending time with a Coach and implementing UBER POWERFUL AUTOMATED systems into my business, I expanded the scope of my offerings. I had helped over 100 companies create insanely powerful Social Media strategies, and the time for me to scale WAY UP had come. And that's exactly what I did. I took my company and made it bigger and made it way more fun. I went from managing Social Media for companies to teaching entrepreneurs how to work less and make way more with the exact systems I was using. My business allows me freedom to work from my favorite cafes, indulge in last minute travel and also to spend as much time as I want with my loved ones. My days of sitting in a cubicle getting my fluorescent lighting tan on are wayyyyyy over and now I help business owners take advantage of technology to create more time, space and freedom in their lives. Sitting on the beach watching payments come in on your phone with a company you LOVE is a real thing. “A New Earth began to form beneath our feet. Volcanic ashes filled the air. Sulfuric particles embedded themselves into our hair, onto our skin and tongues. My mouth was coated in ashes, my lungs were processing the particles alongside the grief of so many things passing, burning too quickly for my heart to comprehend. I found these notes and postings I had written during the first month of the eruption.” ~ Darshan Mendoza, from her book The Luminary Journey: Lessons from a Volcano in Creating a Healing Center and Becoming the Leader You Were Born to Be Darshan is an incredible visionary and sees the magic that nature is showing us! She is alive and awake to share the lessons and experience from the Big Island of Hawai'i Volcano erupting in 2018. She shares her beautiful journey in seeing transformation through devastation; the acceleration of a new Earth emerging, which catapulted her into a whole new life. We talk on the podcast about resetting our vibration with our names, her grandmother's secret and adventurous life, and Darshan's message to embody the Hopi saying "we are the ones we have been hoping for.” Also in this episode, her connection with friend, Anutosh Foo, and the most beautiful experience of dying, and the chapter of her life that is happening now: trusting intuition and seeing the divine. Darshan Mendoza is the spiritual director of Akuahā, a healing retreat in Volcano, Hawai'i. She curates personalized journeys of healing, transformation, and visionary incubation for her guests and clients for planetary transformation. In 2019, she launches The Luminary Journey, a new-moon-to-new-moon program and residency, where Luminaries birth their visions in a holistic and embodied way into the world. Darshan was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to Chicago with her family at the age of seven. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BA in political science and minors in English and philosophy. She explored the world of law as a student at the John Marshall Law School and the world of creative writing at Columbia College Chicago. She worked as a paralegal, journalist and editor before her spontaneous Kundalini Awakening which led her onto a Healer's Path. Soon enough the Ancestors of Hawai'i called Darshan to The Big Island where she began an accelerated decade-long Mystery School where she learned from wisdom keepers from the Philippines, Hawai'i, India, Tibet, the Black Foot and Navajo Nations, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Mexico, Japan, China, New Zealand, the Bioenergetics Quantum Field, and the Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Lineage. The simplest way to describe Darshan is that of a visionary, healer, and teacher. She is committed to anchor in heaven on earth by creating healing centers, visionary incubation labs, and schools all over the world and supporting Luminaries in discovering their genius and sharing it with the world. She finds home in Hawai'i, Chicago, and the Philippines. Links, Article, and Resources All Show Notes for This Episode
Wait-- why is Claire talking about this if SHE'S still single?!? She knows how but fully admits she's NOT DOING IT, CURRENTLY! Check out Episode 12 first, before you go any further with this episode: I WANT HIM TO MAKE ME HAPPY. Claire reminds us that this podcast is for ALL sexual orientations and genders. Great mindset podcast by Claire's business coach, Stacey Boehman: HOW TO MAKE MONEY AS A LIFE COACH If you're not familiar with Brooke Castillo's thought model-- the main tool Claire uses in her coaching and what Claire's coaches use on her, order: Self Coaching 101 Follow Claire on INSTA! @clairebyrnecoaching Claire owns that she of course has moments of sadness, loneliness and fear, being a single woman. BUT BEING SINGLE IS A NEUTRAL CIRCUMSTANCE, and it's her job and YOUR job to THINK differently about it. To think, feel and behave like he's HERE! While on the search for Mr. Right, it's Claire's and YOUR job to make yourself happy. The work isn't to GET HAPPY WHEN HE'S HERE. It's to be totally fulfilled, confident, certain, calm, relaxed, giddy, and happy AS IF he's here! Claire continues to understand and get clear about men she has dated in recent years and recognizes that her over-drinking with them misled her to believe there were deeper connections happening. NO SHOULDA WOULDA COULDA-ing going on... just constantly getting more clear on what HASN'T worked in her past, and how she wants to continue to learn, grow and evolve, and KNOWS this will bring her closer to him. She shares what her ideal man and relationship looks like... Can you hear how CLEAR and CERTAIN and GIDDY she is about his arrival??! Who's the WOMAN you want to become in order to attract your ideal man?? Claire's ideal version of herself: A woman who doesn't rely on alcohol to relax, take the edge off, or quell her nerves. She's a badass boss babe. Claire makes fun of herself and her single friends/clients who CLAIM they THINK they're doing everything RIGHT, so WHY AREN'T THEY GETTING THE RESULT THEY WANT of finding Mr. Right?? Your thoughts AREN'T working for you. Maybe you THINK you're "DOING ALL THE RIGHT THINGS!" Been on FIFTY dates-- I'm PUTTING MYSELF OUT THERE. THe common denominator is YOU. Your THOUGHTS create your RESULTS. The thought is: I'm DOING ALL THE THINGS BUT IT ISN'T WORKING Which makes you feel: Sad, hopeless, discouraged, lonely Then how do you ACT? Swipe from a place of sadness, hopelessness. Maybe you match, and then you realize you're not that into him. Or you force yourself to go out with someone you KNOW you're not that into, but you're doing it for the SAKE of doing it. SO WHAT'S YOUR RESULT? STILL SINGLE So, what Claire does with her clients who's main focus IS to attract Mr. or Ms. Right, is encourage them to SHIFT their THINKING. Claire shares WHY she's not focusing on dating EVEN though she feels like her guy is closer! The work is to give YOURSELF the satisfaction, fulfillment and happiness you're seeking. And yes, even the PLEASURE you're seeking. Check out Claire's bestie, Danielle Savory's podcast, IT'S MY PLEASURE. Claire riffs on this amazing life she has cultivated EVEN WITHOUT him here. As much as she's ready for him to enter when he does, she knows her partner is still gonna piss her off!! Life will still be 50% negative, 50% positive. THERE'S NO THERE, THERE. She refuses to believe that a man coming in will complete the picture. Think, feel and behave like he already is here! Commit!! You get to CHOOSE how you want to THINK about being single. You get to keep evolving into the future version of yourself that you want to become without him physically here. What thoughts can you think TAPPING INTO those giddy feels AS IF HE'S HERE NOW?? OF COURSE HE'S HERE. It was so well worth the wait now that he's here. I needed to go through THAT shitty relationship to learn a big lesson, that led me to Mr. Right.

The B&E Podcast #131 “Tapping Into the Magic of Your Infinite Creativity" Soundcloud Link: soundcloud.com/thebandepodcast SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST: Holy not so serious podcast! This one heads into the crazy corner out of the gate and leads into some terrific stuff people! We talk about consciousness, the unconscious, the unknown, embracing the difficult times, finding our own wisdom, our own magic, and becoming extraordinary artists. Hold on folks! POINT #1: "WHAT IS CONSCIOUSNESS ANYWAY?" - Yeah! That tricky thing? Me, you -- what is that even? There are some interesting insights about what that could be and what that might mean for us as artists. POINT #2: “AFRAID OF THE DARK" - Most of us/all of us carry some level of fear of the unknown. The things that are unfamiliar make us uncomfortable. Yet it's the ripest ground for us to grow as people and as artists. POINT #3: “FLOWING, DIALED IN, TAPPED IN" - Think that all of this stuff about creation is a bunch of BS? Maybe. But think of the language we use to describe such indescribable moments and events -- flowing; dialed in; tapped in; transcendent, etc. Coincidence?
