What if the very beliefs driving your success are also the ones quietly burning you out? In this episode of The Greatness Machine, host Darius Mirshahzadeh sits down with neuroscientist and founder of Dr. Rewire, Dr. Alok Trivedi, for a powerful conversation on how the brain, beliefs, and nervous system truly shape success and fulfillment. Dr. Alok shares his origin story, the breakdown that sparked his breakthrough, and how decoding the “anatomy of belief” allowed him to rewire his life and business. Together, they explore why traditional mindset work often falls short, why the brain is wired for protection rather than happiness, and why integration, not hustle, is the real path to sustainable performance. The conversation dives into Dr. Alok's Four Brains framework, the dopamine-driven highs and lows of achievement, and how entrepreneurs can align with their true design to reduce burnout, anxiety, and self-sabotage. In this episode, Darius and Dr. Alok will discuss: (00:00) Introduction to Dr. Alok Trivedi (02:12) Dr. Alok's Origin Story and Mission (05:20) The Shift from Personal Development to Neuroscience (07:25) Understanding the Connection Between Mind and Body (12:26) The Role of Beliefs in Shaping Reality (16:26) The Importance of Why and Why Not (19:42) Aligning Ego and Soul for Success (24:24) The Four Brains Model of Leadership (29:41) Bridging the Gap to Ideal Profiles (33:18) Integrating Life for Authenticity (38:52) The Cycle of Highs and Lows in Achievement (43:36) Final Thoughts and Greatness Question Dr. Alok Trivedi, widely known as Dr. Rewire, is a neuroscientist and human performance expert dedicated to transforming lives through brain-based optimization. I brought Paul Buono back for a more "hinged" conversation and for a new bi-weekly segment I'm calling "FitBusters".This episode gets into one of the hottest debates in nutrition right now — seed oils vs. beef tallow. Are seed oils actually destroying your health? Is beef tallow the answer? We break it down without the fear-mongering, share our own real experiences with food, and land somewhere that might surprise you: it's about balance, not extremes. We also get personal about alcohol — Paul opens up about his past relationship with it and why moderation isn't just a buzzword, it's a practice. Then we shift into one of the trendiest pieces of fitness gear right now: the weighted vest. Do they actually help your bone density, or is it just another thing to spend money on? We dig into the research, talk Wolf's Law, and share what we think actually moves the needle when it comes to building stronger bones long-term.Chapters00:00 Introduction to the Podcast Chaos03:04 Life Updates and Personal Growth06:02 Transitioning to Fitness Topics09:06 Debate on Seed Oils vs. Beef Tallow12:06 Health Implications of Fats15:01 Anecdotal Evidence and Personal Experiences17:51 Finding Balance in Diets23:09 Navigating Alcohol and Health24:04 The Moderation Mindset25:39 The Weighted Vest Trend28:02 Bone Density and Weighted Vests31:49 Top Strategies for Bone Health35:31 The Psychology of Movement40:00 Final Thoughts on Health and Wellness

In this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with John Petrides, Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management. We take a step back and examine the broader market landscape—from record concentration in mega-cap tech to the evolving AI investment thesis and the growing geopolitical and fiscal risks shaping today's capital markets. We discuss why the S&P 500's historic concentration may be creating hidden risks for passive investors, how the AI story is shifting from infrastructure providers to real-world adopters across industries, and why geopolitical flashpoints like Taiwan could represent the market's most significant systemic risk. We also explore the implications of rising U.S. deficits and higher interest rates for fixed income investors, and why the growing valuation gap between large-cap tech and the rest of the market may be setting the stage for renewed opportunity in small and micro-cap stocks—particularly those with strong balance sheets and exposure to hard assets like energy and critical minerals. We mention several companies and sectors during this conversation, and I'm not a shareholder in any of them. Fields Ready for Harvest: Faith, Healing, and the Work of God – John 4:27–54 In this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane continue through the Gospel of John by exploring John 4:27–54, where two powerful themes unfold—the harvest of hearts ready to believe and the healing power of Jesus' word. After His encounter with the Samaritan woman, Jesus reminds His disciples that the fields are already ripe for harvest, inviting them to see people through God's eyes. The chapter then closes with the healing of the official's son, revealing a faith that trusts Jesus' word even before seeing the result. Together, Jamie and Jane reflect on what it means to participate in God's harvest, trust Christ's authority, and recognize how belief grows when we step out in faith. This conversation encourages listeners to see the people around them as God does and to trust that His word still brings life and healing today. ____________________________________ Connect with Jamie: Website: www.jamieklusacek.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacek Connect with Jane: Website: www.janewwilliams.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams

While sitting in jail awaiting his case, John continued fighting and causing problems until he made a desperate move, he escaped jail and fled to New York. While on the run he committed another robbery before eventually being caught, a decision that would change his life forever. Between charges in Connecticut and New York, John was ultimately sentenced to nearly 50 years in prison. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, John shares the true story of surviving 32 years inside some of the most brutal prisons, navigating gangs, violence, and constant attacks while trying to stay alive. Despite the harsh reality of decades behind bars, John also found an unexpected light in the darkness, meeting the woman who would become his wife and building a family through conjugal visits while still incarcerated. _____________________________________________ #ianbick #lockedinpodcast #jailescape #prisonstory #prisonsurvival #truecrimepodcast #prisonlife #exinmate _____________________________________________ Connect with John Moore: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jay_triple_x?_r=1&_t=ZP-94JYBavrQIp YouTube: https://youtube.com/@jaytriplex?si=vFn5Ln4dyjyA5-yc _____________________________________________ Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ _____________________________________________ Shop Locked In Merch: http://www.ianbick.com/shop _____________________________________________ Timestamps: 00:00 Prison Escape: How the Breakout Happened 03:00 Childhood Struggles and Growing Up 07:00 First Arrests and Early Trouble With the Law 13:00 Escalating Crime and Facing Consequences 22:00 Juvenile Detention and Life Behind Bars Young 32:00 Jail Life, Prison Violence, and Survival 45:00 Solitary Confinement, Segregation, and Isolation 57:00 The Infamous County Jail Escape 01:01:00 On the Run: Living as a Fugitive 01:14:00 Hostage Situation and Final Surrender 01:21:00 Arrest, Police Beatings, and Sentencing 01:29:00 Entering the New York Prison System 01:39:00 Brutal Prison Life and Notorious Inmates 01:54:00 Turning Point: Love and Changing Direction 02:03:00 Returning to Connecticut and Family Loss 02:13:00 Release From Prison and Life After 02:21:00 Lessons From Prison and Regrets 02:28:00 Final Thoughts and Reflections Learn more about your ad choices. This week's guest on the Adult Improver Series is Matt Biancuzzo. Matt is a 31-year-old New York City consultant who is very active in both the local chess scene and on social media. He has taken full advantage of New York's many chess opportunities, regularly attending chess gatherings and pub nights while also competing in tournaments locally. Over the past few years he has improved from below 1400 USCF to a peak of over 1800! Matt has worked with multiple coaches, grinded tactics, and consumed countless chess videos, but he credits the majority of his improvement to building a social network that made chess fun for him. Speaking of fun, Matt has also built a large online following thanks to his hilarious short-form videos. Posting as “byredofantome” on Instagram and “fantomechess” on TikTok, Matt creates impressions and humorous shorts that lightly satirize chess culture. In the second half of our interview, we shift our focus from chess improvement to the story behind Matt's videos.
