In this episode of Blooming Curious, we discuss how Maslow's hierarchy of needs can be harnessed to motivate children to love learning. This discussion stems from a popular blog post on the same topic. We explore the hierarchy from the foundational requirements such as physiological needs and safety, to how love, belonging, and self-esteem play pivotal roles in setting kids up for success, ultimately leading to self-actualization and a genuine love of curiosity and learning. The episode also highlights practical strategies for parents and educators to nurture these needs.

In this video we are going to tackle a challenging question: what is self-actualisation isn't what we should be doing; what if instead it is a big cope — a way of burying our head in the sand (rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic; playing our fiddle while Rome burns — choose your preferred analogy) while the world burns. -------------------

At a point where Tony "Jack the Bear" Mantz is leaping into his 6th decade he's back for a banter on life, the journey, the highs and the lows as he makes the move to shift gears with a new career path and passion. We begin with a chuckle about drawing out some tears and emotion back in our first chat way back in episode 20 (four years ago now), I had the last laugh (or cry) as we got every bit as deep and emotional at one point here too. Tony shares about overcoming self-sabotage and addiction, his experiences with drug use, shedding a LOT of weight along the way, self-awareness, and the transformative power that psychedelic therapy proved to have in his case. Coaching found Julie Starr without her looking for it, and she started to practice coaching before she knew what it was.As a project manager of large-scale change initiatives in big organisations, Julie was someone who people naturally turned to with problems – often complex, personal matters that required care and attention to their inner world.Julie acquired skills to enhance her ability to perform this role; tools like neuro-linguistic programming helped her to navigate one-to-one work, and also prepared her for the future that awaited her.At a time when coaching qualifications had yet to be developed, Julie began writing a book that would help people understand the one-to-one work she was doing. That book is The Coaching Manual and it is now in its fifth edition, having garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Sir John Whitmore, widely regarded as the founder of the coaching industry.Julie, now an executive coach, mentor, writer and speaker, has since written two more best-selling books on coaching as well as two works of fiction, all of which are inspired by her belief in the interdependency of people, and by her passionate enquiry into the nature of reality. In this episode, we also talk about:Not allowing models and frameworks to become limiting factors in our work as coachesThe power of non-attachment and the importance of working joyfullyStaying true to ourselves, and resisting the temptation to climb a ladder that is against somebody else's wallHow to charge what you would be delighted with but not amazed byHow to pursue the pathways that make sense to you in a turbulent, disorienting worldWe also discuss the biggest challenge we face as coaches: the inner and outer work we have to do to get ourselves out of the way in conversations. In an age when authenticity, personal potential and the fulfilment of that potential is so highly valued, the virtue of self-control seems counterintuitive. In contrast to the world, the Bible tells us that the good life is not located in unbounded self-expression, but in purposeful self-restraint. Why is self-control so necessary to the Christian life? What does the Bible say about it, and how can we cultivate it within ourselves? Furthermore, does the deliberate curbing of desire really play a key role in our self-actualisation? In this episode, we bring you a recording of our recent event in our series on virtue in the Christian life in which Moore College lecturer David Höhne helps us think through how to live as Christians, living self-controlled lives in a world that so values self-actualisation. What's the key to taking your mental health from ‘meh' to ‘amazing!'? It's focusing on your personal growth and evolution!
This is where personal potential is fully realised after basic bodily and ego needs have been Self-Fulfilment. This means that there is full realisation of one's potential and of one's true self. Ultimately, it is said what you truly are is pure consciousness embodied.Spanda or vibration of the movement or wave of consciousness – physical essence of consciousnessOur practice is to attend to this pulse of consciousness and to the principle of Spanda expressing it's self through you as you. Spanda is the joyful impulse to create harmony and enjoy life. We practice wakefully as we take action, aware of the insight of the nature of consciousness embodied as form, expressing itself creatively. Open to grace in every moment, there is no distinction between the spiritual and the mundane, everything is a teacher expressing itself as Spanda, through you, as you and working with you and for you to wake you up to its presence in everything. When you become obsessive, intimidated or overexcited in the presence of someone, you are practicing divination and worship. Unfortunately much of the world does this with both things and people, such as football teams, celebrity TV shows, musician concerts, political rallies, religious figures and so on. You see the characteristics of this worship in the way you behave, like something “possesses” you that you are completely engulfed in this person or thing… this is not conscious nor good, this is slave think and satanic obsession. Not only do people behave this way, many want this status themselves, they want adoration and toxic attention. I do not. I do not want blind followers. I live my purpose and educate all regardless of how people receive it. I respect myself and others alike. I see everyone as peers on this evolution journey. I have been able to work alongside some brilliant minds because I never looked at anyone as above or below me. I learned from many and they also learned from me. This is mutual respect, that you do not look to anyone or thing as better/higher than anyone else. Do this exercise for yourself and become aware of where you lack self esteem because you are literally devoting your life force energy to an obsessive attachment that is not rooted in Truth. When people don't know the Creator nor have purpose in life they will easily latch on to these “idols” and lose all sense of the point of life. This is what the service to self beings want, that you ignore the spiritual essence of the Creator of us all, not look to change the human condition and end human slavery, instead you, like them, view the world as a prison to make up the rules as you so wish and rein in a pit of endless suffering. Stop worshipping people and things you have no business doing. Remember your worth and live a life of meaningful pursuit; Purpose, Love, Freedom, Truth. ⚡️ I go much deeper into practical wisdom in my upcoming course on Awakening the leader within & living in alignment with natural law. The pillars of the course are: Foundations of reality, Expression of natural law, Alignment, Self Mastery & Self Actualisation.
Nothing escapes the Law
As long as humanity continues to focus their life force [attention] on the plane of effects - what already is done and cannot be changed, nothing will shift in this world. Only when we focus our attention on the plane of Causality can we actually create anything new, different and conscious with our Good intent and pure focused imagination. A mind that is infested with hive mind group think social programming will not be creating anything other than that what the slave masters want you to. You begin to become Adept when you train yourself as a master of transmutational alchemy within, cleanse your mind-body-soul from the satanic programming, exiting the human condition and focusing on learning the skills and methods of self mastery. Self initiation requires awareness AND willingness to look at oneself, stop lying, begin rectifying your lifestyle to live in accordance with Natural law, truth, integrity and authenticity. All transformation starts inside. Learn more and discover your own excellence with one of my online courses, based on +15 years of direct experience teaching to thousands of people globally. Students often share that my teaching style is easy to understand, highly engaging + empowered them to changed their lives for the better. Learning design, communication skills + a multi-disciplinary approach are key to my unique way of teaching that works. I have rolled out human skill-training programs globally that are still used to this day. ⚡️ I go much deeper into practical wisdom in my new course ► Now LIVE and available :: Awakening The Leader Within The pillars of the course are: Foundations of reality, Expression of natural law, Alignment, Self Mastery & Self Actualisation.
The secret to all transformation lies in your daily routine, your lifestyle, what you do on a regular basis. Greatness is consistent effort. Once you understand the mechanisms of how your neurobiology works, then you can train your brain to work for you, not against you. Through psycho-cybernetics, neuroscience, psycology and NLP combined, I have been able to develop workshops and courses over the years that have helped countless people break free from the human conditioning, master their own thoughts+ emotions, live a meaninful life with purpose and improve their well-being in all areas of life. The hardest part of the inner work is confronting Truths and aliging with them in the face of your existing belief systems and those of others ~ mastering that internal discomfort that happens when you grow. Remember that your Self Actualization entails you becoming the most authentic, conscious version of yourself so that you can serve the Creator here on Earth in only the way you can with your unique essence. It is of paramount importance once one becomes aware of Truth and Falsehood, that one chooses to embark on their self initated path of Service to Truth, The Good, Freedom, Expansion. This one method shared in this episode can be applied with literally anything you wish to change in your lifestyle such as unhealthy habits into good habits. Consciously making the path to the goal easier for the new, healthy habit + harder for the existing, unhealthy habit is critical as explained in this lesson. Free your mind and the rest will align. There is a reason that the conditioning is done via the mind, as it is the connector of our mind-body-spirit. When you are enslaved in the mind, you are enslaved in body and spirit. This is the importance of learning to think for yourself and mastering your internal world of emotions. Thus why I teach real life skills for purpose, conscious growth and self mastery. Every individual matters and we are all part of this experience together, if you believe you are a slave then you will propagate that reality not only for yourself but for all. Thus the inner work is your key to unlocking your mind and freeing your spirit. Make no mistake, this is indeed a spiritual battle and the fight is in the mind. ⚡️ I go much deeper into this in my new course ► Now LIVE and available :: Awakening The Leader Within The pillars of the course are: Foundations of reality, Expression of natural law, Alignment, Self Mastery & Self Actualisation. This life is to be LIVED for something, not die for nothing. Every day counts, it's never too late to activate and do the right thing.
The activation and alignment of Will, Love & Wisdom towards the path of the Good is what will empower you to live your purpose. Living an artificial life is the default mode in this prison planet due to the human condition, however once you “awaken” ie become aware of the truth and dedicate your life to actually living, the self initiation begins. This is thus not the time to stop, sit back and wait for someone else to do the work for you… this is where many people are stuck right now because they are believing in false promises from external malicious beings that “they're coming to save us” which is a trap that leads you to self destruction rather than the path that leads you to self actualisation which I teach. Polarity matters in this reality we are in as does *the choice* to be Good in a world of evil temptations. In order to continue polarising on your unique path of the Good you must delve deep into your own darkness, find the dark energy and knowing fully what you are capable of, consciously choosing to use your power & strength for Good, purpose, love, evolution.
In this retake 5 we go back to the beginning, all the way to episode 2, to explore what does Second Chance mean. Lordia Lewis-Spencer, a Lead Psychotherapist from Protea Psychotherapy Practise and Christopher Hickin, Assistant Director from Remedi who provide restorative justice services. Externally we are looking for a Second Chance, but really it comes with Self as Human Beings. To become better versions of ourselves, we must give ourselves a Second Chance.Lordia explains how self-actualization is a direction not a destination. A genuine lived Second Chance stems from forgiveness and taking personal power of that change! Chris delves into a particular case of how even, a one punch killer, found hope to turn his life around from his victim's parents! You can find the inspiration to change from the people you least expect it from. Can you accept a Second Chance? Environmental issues are also a key factor to this and is a massive part of true change, committing to living out your Second Chance daily. It comes down to choosing to being a better version of yourself,For example, in the films such as ‘Shawshank Redemption' to ‘It's A Wonderful Life'. You choose to forgive, for yourself, both individually and collectively we have the power to change, it is a choice. David Reay and I first connected when we were both music nerds, with him at Sony and me at Shazam. Right away I was pulled in with his genuine warmth and made it my mission to stay in touch with him. He remains in the People space, and together we covered big topics around the path to self actualisation and how we might get there sooner. We also spoke of:
The control system of this world that created our human condition trains you from a young age to ignore your own conscience and instead follow orders. This is evident in parenting where you are told to do something "because I said so", in school where anything other than blind acceptance and silence was punished and made an example of, in adulthood in working environments where the hierarchy is broken down into smaller control freak hierarchies where each "manager" has a piece of "control" they enforce over "employees", in relationships where possessive attachment is seen as romantic and so on. As you can see this is a theme throughout all areas of life, it is a core part of conditioning humans into becoming mindless slaves, instead what is most important is that we cultivate our knowing of truth via harmony with our conscience. I trust your ability to exercise sound judgement from your conscience and intuition before i would ever trust you following an order just becuase you were told to do it. This is a core part of {Awakening The Leader Within} that i recorded a whole bonus workshop on setting boundaries and how to say no with actual examples, including how to work through the uncomfortable emotions that come up when you are creating these new habits and exercising your birth rights and free will to do the right thing in the face of pressure, duress and fear. ⚡️ I go much deeper into practical wisdom in my course on {Awakening the leader within & living in alignment with natural law.} The pillars of the course are: Foundations of reality, Expression of natural law, Breaking barriers to Alignment, Self Mastery & Self Actualisation.
The more we get beyond ourselves and use what we have to love and serve others, the closer we get to our potential.
Today's dose of wisdom is a special, longer episode on the not-so-nice-to-hear truth about the responsbility that comes with expanding your consciousness. Especially focused on what we grow up to consume as "enjoyable" pleasures which are programmed into us through culture and society by the negative service to self beings from a young age, that harming ourselves with these activities is "fun, pleasurable, cool" and so on...but it's not, it is harm. Of ourse, I can go into much more detail, there is only so much one can cover in a single conversation, take what empowers you, leave what doesn't. This teaching is 100% from my heart, my direct experience and knowledge that I know I must share as it is the right thing to do. To willing ears there is much you can get from this episode that you can implement in your life right away. When you are ready to make these necessary changes in your life, my online courses will support you with both the mindset and the tools required to greatness. Nathalie Nahai is host of The Hive podcast, author of two books, international speaker and consultant with businesses big and small. Her clients have included Unilever, Google, Accenture and Harvard Business Review, among many others. Her most recent book, 'Business Unusual: Values, Uncertainty and the Psychology of Brand Resilience', opens up worlds of business where profit is not the only motive, where psychological safety, meaning and solidarity are core business values and businesses are learning to walk their talk. In a world where government is failing so completely to address the many crises of our time, we spent an hour discussing whether business can fill that gap, and if so, how? When it is such a huge part of our lives, when the entire neoliberal model seems to be predicated on a cycle of wage-slavery followed by meaningless consumption, can work bring us back to balance with ourselves, each other and the ecosystems of which we are an integral part? How is aging a programme? Can we undo certain programs that may be impairing our aging and how can we slow our aging through psychological and spiritual development? What role do our belief systems play in "dis-ease" / health? How can contact with our Higher Self help us achieve self-mastery and self-actualisation? In Sentience, today's guest Kristin Gillespie explores these questions as she examines the phenomenon of self-mastery and self-actualisation. In doing so, she challenges the often-accepted notion that we must wait for a "Divine Hand" or a "higher power" to intervene in order for us to achieve well-being within our lifetime.Watch the episode here!https://youtu.be/OJHy1j0KjIQDo you have a question about which options may be right for you?BOOK YOUR ONE ON ONE Virtual Skin and Aging Consultation with Rachel Varga here: https://RachelVarga.ca/get-started and use promocode PODCAST15 for 15% off!SHOP my top skin care products, dermal rollers, supplements and more at https://rachelvarga.ca/storeSAVE on my top at-home and in-office biohacking tools like red light therapy, emf mitigation, air purifiers and SO MUCH MORE to help you age impossibly well at https://RachelVarga.ca/favoritesRegister for my next SkinCamp Group Program at https://RachelVarga.ca and learn about all of the things I can't share for free online that can help you age impossibly well for many years and how to navigate skin health throughout the seasons!Pick up a copy of my eBook Unlocking Your Vitality! The Dilemmas of Life - How to overcome the dilemmas and live a better life
Self-actualization is important to us since it improves our well-being and makes our life worthwhile. We have a lot of potentials to tap into, and I'm excited to see what we can do in life. I'd be humiliated if I didn't grow since it would be a waste of time not to see what life has to offer. Not only for myself but also for others. Self-actualization is beneficial to us, but it has a broader meaning. The best in other people, as well as the best in me, must be invoked. A completely personal purpose that ignores other people and societal circumstances are insufficient. --- This is a chapter of my book: The Dilemmas of Life: How to overcome the dilemmas and live a better life Get a full copy now on Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHXLD4G
This podcast interview is another powerful imperfectly perfect conversation. This time with the wonderful Bea Herbert. Bea founded States of Mind in 2017, driven by a desire to create change in how our society speaks about and supports experiences of emotional distress. Bea is the Project Manager and Lead Facilitator at States of Mind. We talk about Bea's work - co-designing initiatives that promote young people's wellbeing which draw on her training in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy. Such an inspirational chat. Take a listen!
This week John is in conversation with a special guest - one who has lived through a codependent relationship, and who has emerged as independent from the other side. It's a rare, highly personal conversation from someone with a unique perspective on this particular compulsion, and which may help to empower those who may not yet realise that their own relationship may be an unhealthy one. KEY TAKEAWAYS When we become codependent, we lose part of ourselves - our identities. We hand control to a person, and thereby give part of ourselves away. Previous generations have always associated their development in life by their attachments. These days, we are encouraged to be more independent, and gender roles in society help to promote this. Codependency can creep in without realising it. We begin a certain way, and then one day find that we have become unrecognisable to ourselves. BEST MOMENTS 'The root of codependency is the loss of the self' 'It was a very gendered experience' 'It's as though you somehow believe you are rooted with each other' 'It was like I'd created a Frankenstein' VALUABLE RESOURCES Want to be able to create healthy relationships in your life - why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30min The Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy Signs Of A Toxic Relationship Questionnaire - https://signsofatoxicrelationship.scoreapp.com What Is Self Actualisation - What is Self-Actualisation? | John Kenny (johnkennycoaching.com) Lisa A Romano - https://youtu.be/Pv90LrLyMew https://youtu.be/G2DvWdrXnBw Codependent No More by Melody Beattie - Codependent No More (Part 1) - YouTube ABOUT THE HOST I am John Kenny, The Relationship Guy - Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships. Self actualisation may seem like a pie in the sky concept, when pulled apart, I think it simply is the process of coming back to ourselves, manifesting in our outer world as success. Whatever success means to ourselves. A peeling away, shifting, healing, letting go and forgiving of the various layers, painful experiences and misunderstandings etc. This episode also explores the crossover between previously discussed Psycho-social developmental theorists of Attachment Theory, Erikson, and Jung. As usual, if you like what you hear, share, comment and give your 10 cents worth too. Alternatively you might want to join me and others to discuss our ideas and views. In this episode of the Secret MENS Business podcast we speak with Michael Lauria. Michael is a qualified counsellor, has studied Psychology, Neuroscience, NLP and Psychotherapy and is a lifetime student of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell and borrows inspiration from Jordan Peterson’s teachings and lectures which he incorporates into his formulations, views, and opinions on what it means to be a good quality, Purposeful Man living a life of purpose, service and contribution. Michael is a visionary leader inspiring Men to connect powerfully with their core values and align deeply with a well-defined purpose. Michael teaches men to be of service to others and contribute positively to humanity leaving a legacy that can be felt for generations to come. He does this by engaging the imaginations of Men, encouraging them to explore their intrinsic potential, believing it is irresponsible for a Man to traverse life without stepping into the top level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs “Self Actualisation” in which a Man realises his potential for greatness; his ability to be more than he currently is and then striving to achieve this version of himself. Antony and the Johnsons' “I Am A Bird Now” is a story told from within a chrysalis.Featuring the unmistakably haunting vocals of lead singer ANOHNI, the album speaks of a yearning to be grown, the confronting nature of evolution and the delicious freedom of eventual self-actualisation. While it’s fair to assume the subject matter was directly informed by the experiences of ANOHNI, a trans woman, the themes of “I Am a Bird Now” hold assorted meanings for folks across the queer spectrum.Collaborations from AF alumni Boy George and Lou Reed, as well as (potential deep enemy of the pod?) Rufus Wainwright provide further depth to an already profound album, resulting in a soulful pop masterpiece. Join Drew and Andy as they tackle their first ever Mercury Prize winner and struggle – desperately – to find a connection between Antony and the Johnsons and Madonna Louise Ciccone.Once again, our eternal thanks to Forbes Street Studios for hosting us. Pit stops on the journey to self-actualisation can at times be triggering - feel bitter and painful - and yet they must. The poison is often in the medicine. In those moments of challenge, two parts of us respond: The Mind - inviting us to stop the pain and run. The Heart - inviting us to stay still and become more curious about what is stirring the pain. Dr Dave and Shannon Eastman explore congruency, an individual's unique set of values, the journey we choose to pursue sometimes labelled self-actualisation; and the wobbly ugly bits that are par for the course.
In this episode, Haylie and I talk all about this in more detail. Are you getting your needs met? The classic Maslow's hierarchy can help you understand why you might be feeling unfulfilled and what to do about it. Abraham Maslow proposed, in 1943, that human needs boil down to five categories: physiological (basic), safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization, arranged in a hierarchy from bottom to top. He believed that, usually, we have to fulfill our lower-level needs (such as the need for food) before we can work on the levels above. Psychologists now believe that the order for the hierarchy is not strict. We can still use Maslow's hierarchy as a rough guide for identifying our own missing needs. In today's message I want to suggest that we all need to consider a constant recalibration from too much self-focus to reaching out to those who need us. Our moment in history seems to be driven by a constant push toward self-promotion which can mean we gradually begin to overlook the needs of those around us. We all have people in our lives who are going through a hard time and todays message is all about making a firm commitment to reach out more often to those who need our help.
This is a bit of a therapy session really. What is true human sovereignty and how can we reclaim it? "The true sovereign is the living man and the living woman of the living soil, we tend to forget that." ~ Sacha Stone In this episode Amisha shares a moment with former rock musician and founder of both The New Earth Project and Humanitad, Sacha Stone. We hear about his personal journey from early life as a war child, via a career in rock music and deep spiritual enquiry “in the solitude of poetry”, to his present work in the world. Sacha speaks about the entropic and harmful nature of many of the dominant systems of our civilisation and some of the alternatives that are emerging through his work and that of others. He tells how we can and why we must break the patterns of our cultural, intellectual and social programming. Sacha challenges mainstream beliefs and perspectives with his views on time, economics and human potential, revealing plans for the emergence of free energy and immortal humans within our lifetimes. Cast your mind back to high school of college. At some point, you will have heard of Abraham Maslow, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. At the bottom of the pyramid are our survival needs. Food, water and shelter. Move up a notch, and it’s all about safety. These two steps of the hierarchy are what we technically need to function. If you start to move up the pyramid, you encounter social needs, of belonging and love, followed by Esteem and Self Actualisation. What has this got to do with motivating your staff? I recently received and email from the lovely Emma, who told me that she’d been using the Bringing Business to Retail show and the associated downloads as staff training. In the few weeks that she’d implemented it, her team were more enthusiastic, sales were up and there was a general feeling of renewed energy in her store, though she wasn’t quite sure why. Which got me to thinking. And that thinking took me back to my uni days, and Abraham Maslow. As I mentioned before, on the bottom of Maslow’s pyramid are survival and security. In order for your team to have these needs fulfilled, they need the basics of food and water and in addition, the security of a regular income, along with a safe workplace. If this is all that is motivating someone to come and work for you, they are disengaged employees. They are only ever going to come to work, do a half-hearted attempt at their job and go home. They’ll likely bring down the buzz in your store and turn customers away with their attitude. And that’s NOT what you want, right. Rest assured, there are a few things that you can do, to avoid that situation from appearing. When we move up Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we come to belonging. For you, the store owner and employer, it’s about creating an environment where everyone knows they are part of a team, even if they happen to work in the store alone. It’s up to you to foster this team spirit, create connections and to instil pride. Now if I’m sounding more text book that realistic, when I spoke to Emma, by her own admission, everyone in her store was in a bit of a rut. It wasn’t that anyone didn’t like going to work, they hadn’t moved down to the demotivated category, but they were on their way. It was same ol’ same ol’, every day. Moving up another step of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we get to esteem. Sometimes it’s called recognition. When you move up the ladder to this level, this is where you’re starting to get really engaged employees. To get to this level, you need to be handing out responsibilities, chances for your team to prove and improve their skills. Give them a sense of accomplishment, and tell them when they’ve done something well. Offer guidance and advice rather than criticism. This team member knows they are a vital part of the team. The key words to keep in mind when you’re at this level are recognition, achievement and responsibility. So what’s the key to a super engaged employee. The one who will work extra and not expect anything for it. The one that every store owner wants. The team member that sells your business because they love working there? When you hit the top of Maslow’s pyramid, you’re at the section he called self actualisation. I like to call it personal growth. It’s where your employees have the same values as your brand, and as a result, they have a personal connection with what they have helped to create, because let’s be honest, if you didn’t have a team, you’d either be rocking back and forth in the corner, or burnt out. The team member at this level is confident and enjoys coming to work. She knows that she has a challenging environment that allow her autonomy and the ability to make decisions. She even loves helping new people come on-board, to share what she knows. Now getting your team to those upper levels is hard. It’s going to require to you let go of the reigns a little, but not just walk away. It’s ok to delegate, but you need to make sure that the person has been provided training and feels confident to keep going. If you overlook the training, you’ll overwhelm that person and send her back down the pyramid, rather than up. And, this is where Emma started using Bringing Business to Retail TV, and the weekly downloads. She has instigated a quick team meeting each week. She even ensures that’s it’s super easy to attend, by broadcasting the meeting on skype, so all of the team members can be present, without having to be in the store. She says she either gets them to watch the episode, or she does a short paraphrase of the episode, and then they spend 5-10 minutes discussing how they can incorporate the ideas into their store, and who will be responsible. To me, that is great leadership. Emma has almost outsourced the learning part, by utilising someone else’s content, which is going to saver her loads of time. However, she also realised you can’t just get staff to read something. You need to talk about how it will work in your store. So, Emma get’s my gold start for the week. If you’ve found this information useful, let me know. I’d love to show other retailers how Bringing Business to Retail tv is helping your retail biz. If you’d like to chat with other retailers on all things business come join the Bringing Business To Retail community. We’re a bunch of retailers chatting all things business. Best of all, it’s free. This week, I’d love you to go back through the archives of Bringing Business to Retail tv and see which episodes you could use for team training, so you can start to boost employee engagement. Until next week Be profitable

What is the point of cultural, historical, and spiritual research if it can not be used to gain control of our emotional, physical, and spiritual states? Self Actualisation is the highest form of self control. In this segment we deal with the idea of life management and self control. The ANU spiritual Order is a way of learning that allows the student to place themselves at the center of the learning experiences as opposed to memorizing rituals, names, and protocol that serve little when it comes down to reality reconstruction. This class series is a hardcore spiritual initiation into the deeper truths of indigenous metaphysics and natural power. For classes, readings, and events with the Sadulu House please go to Saduluhouse.com.
