In this week's Ag Tribes Report, fourth-generation Missouri cattleman and board member Glenn Cope joins the discussion to analyze a turbulent moment for agriculture. The conversation explores President Trump's plan to redirect tariff revenues to soybean growers, the unintended consequences of a U.S. bailout enabling Argentina's cheap soybean exports to China, and how these actions increase price and input pressures on farmers. It also addresses the looming threat of New World Screwworm nearing the U.S. border, its potential impact on animal health and markets, mitigation tools like ivermectin and Zoetis' Decomax CA, and the importance of border policy and fly control. With a government shutdown stalling USDA services during harvest, the discussion highlights how delayed loans, payments, and data disrupt cash flow and accelerate consolidation. Glenn offers insights on the Bitcoin Land Price Report from the Ozarks, the Peter Thiel paradox on land values, and his “worthy adversary” perspective on RFK Jr.'s stance on agricultural tools like Roundup, emphasizing the necessity of no-till and modern inputs for efficiency and environmental outcomes. The report includes the honoring of the memory of Ryan Whitehouse of the Illinois Farm Bureau and encouraging the recording of family stories—through Legacy Interviews or simple, intentional conversations—to preserve memories that shape understanding of the past and strengthen connections.Legacy Interviews - A service that records individuals and couples telling their life stories so that future generations can know their family history. https://www.legacyinterviews.com/experienceRiver.com - Invest in Bitcoin with Confidence https://river.com/signup?r=OAB5SKTP

Retirement confidence is under pressure. While younger generations are entering the workforce with optimism, the latest Read on Retirement report reveals troubling gaps between savers, plan sponsors, and retirees. Only 38% of employers believe their employees are on track, and confidence among retirees has dropped to historic lows.In this episode of The Bid, host Oscar Pulido speaks with Jamie Magyera, Head of BlackRock's U.S. Wealth Advisory and Retirement Business, about the findings from a decade of retirement data. Together, they explore what's driving the confidence gap and the bold actions needed to close it.Jamie highlights three calls to action for the retirement industry: expand access to professional management, deliver guaranteed income solutions, and broaden portfolios to include private markets. She also underscores the need for education and re-enrollment so savers fully benefit from these innovations. With retirement confidence at a crossroads, this episode offers both a reality check and a roadmap for plan sponsors, policymakers, and individuals alike.Sources: BlackRock's Read on Retirement Survey, September 2025Key insights include:· Why retirement savers' confidence often outpaces employers' assessment, and what this paradox reveals.· How target date funds and auto-enrollment are making retirement saving easier and more effective.· Why guaranteed income solutions are increasingly vital to ensure retirees don't outlive their savings.· The growing importance of private markets in delivering long-term returns and diversification alongside public markets.· Differences across generations and genders in retirement confidence — and how advice and professional management can help bridge gaps.· How market volatility, student debt, and competing financial priorities continue to challenge long-term savers.Timestamps:00:00 Retirement Confidence at a Crossroads01:59 Key Findings and Confidence Gaps in the latest Read on Retirement Report04:40 Calls to Action for Retirement Preparedness08:39 Generational Differences in Retirement Planning10:35 Gender Gaps in Retirement Confidence12:12 Challenges and Future of Retirement Planning16:50 Personal Reflections and Advice18:36 Conclusion and Final ThoughtsCheck out episode 225 on retirement planning where we discuss what new legislation could mean for your retirement account: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4mH8LyNQFsYSV0bxEH1NGU?si=ed429467800b4617Check out this playlist on investing for retirement here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/08Fx1iZaBwLclqpswIbjUq

This week on Heal Thy Self, Dr. G sits down with Dr. Lori Woodley, a counselor, author, and nonprofit founder who has spent 30 years working with kids, families, and schools. Her message is simple but life-changing: the most important skill we can teach kids isn't math or grammar. It's emotional intelligence. Because here's the truth: If a child can't name their feelings, they can't regulate them. If they can't regulate their emotions, they can't build confidence. And without confidence, they grow up wearing masks, hiding their fear, doubting their worth, and drifting through life without direction. In this conversation, Lori shares powerful insights for parents, educators, and anyone healing their inner child: The single question that instantly builds trust: “What do you need right now?” Why the #1 parenting mistake is trying to “teach a lesson” instead of listening. How kids actually feel the energy adults try to hide and why hypocrisy destroys trust faster than anything. Why confidence is the foundation skill for every child, and how emotional literacy unlocks it. The danger of power struggles and how to replace them with collaboration and respect. How triggers from our own childhood show up in parenting, and why conscious reflection matters more than perfection. Why kids are more autonomous and aware than we think and how to honor that without losing healthy boundaries. How emotional intelligence is a muscle that gets stronger with practice, for kids and adults. The story of Lori's nonprofit All It Takes, co-founded with her daughter, that's bringing these tools to schools, educators, and families around the world. This isn't just a parenting conversation. It's about building the kind of emotional literacy that shapes resilient kids, healthier families, and even stronger communities. If you've ever wished your child or even your inner child had more confidence, resilience, and self-trust, this episode could change everything.

Be deliberate: split session types by purpose (speed sessions, volume sessions, tempo work) instead of lumping everything together. 7:10 – Adapting training: speed, volume, and specificity Jack describes learning to periodize his running and mix speed with volume to actually get faster. Structure sessions by purpose: separate longer aerobic efforts from targeted speed work. Progress volume conservatively (small weekly increases) and add specific speed work for real improvements in pace. Treat running like any other modality: apply progressive overload principles and discipline. 10:01 – Aerobic contributions in racket and throwing sports Jack compares racket sports and throwing, noting the reactive and aerobic demands of court play. Use court-based conditioning to develop reactive stamina and contextual decision-making. Choose cross-training that mirrors sport constraints when possible (racket sports for reactive throws).

Angie shares her deep knowledge about the complex journey of returning “home” after years abroad, unraveling common myths and real-life challenges that expats and global nomads often face.Key Topics DiscussedReverse Culture Shock:Angie explains why returning to your home country can sometimes be more challenging than moving abroad in the first place. Many expats idealize their homeland, only to have reality fall short upon their return.Intercultural Adjustment:Even brief international experiences can fundamentally change personal values, communication styles, and identities, often more than most repats expect.Common Repatriation Challenges:Psychological adjustment and feelings of disconnectOverwhelming administrative burdens (immigration, documentation, logistics)Integrating international spouses and managing children's adjustment, especially in different education systemsEmployment concerns—lacking positions at home, rebuilding professional networksFinancial considerations, especially planning around multinational pensions, taxes, and retirementPersonal Transformation:Both Angie and Doreen reflect on how global experiences permanently alter the “core” of a person, and the importance of articulating these changes in one's home environment.Practical Tips for Repatriates:Take things one step at a time - utilize checklists for admin tasksSeek out professional guidance early (tax consultants, financial advisors, coaches)Use journaling, mindfulness, or other reflective practices to process changeBuild a support system of others who understand the international journeyAcknowledge both the visible and invisible elements involved in moving “home”Special Considerations for Retirees:Managing pensions, tax liabilities, and social security across multiple countriesPlanning the next phase of life - “rewirement” rather than just retirementAdmin Burden:Do not underestimate the complexity and emotional weight of bureaucracy involved with every international move—even frequent movers make this mistake.Angie's Top AdviceThe most common mistake? Underestimating the impact of reverse culture shock and mis-attributing feelings of discomfort to the wrong causes. What if the fastest way to real freedom isn't working harder in your business but making your money work twice? In this episode of Wickedly Smart Women, host Anjel B. Hartwell welcomes Amanda Taylor, investor and business growth strategist to share how women can move from survival mode to lasting wealth with unapologetic ownership, simple systems that scale, and values-aligned investing. If you've ever wondered when to stop plowing every dollar back into the company and start building real wealth, this episode is your roadmap.   What You Will Learn: How childhood money stories shape adult financial behavior and how to consciously rewrite them. Why “make your money work twice” is the simplest wealth framework for entrepreneurs. The conveyor-belt method to automatically allocate incoming revenue into safety, growth, and wealth buckets. Practical ways to improve profit margins by stopping revenue leaks and pricing for profit. How to choose values-aligned asset classes by assessing liquidity, risk, and return without jargon. The difference between confidence and competence in financial decision-making. Why most small businesses don't sell for what founders expect and how to de-risk your personal retirement plan now. How women's intuition is a legitimate investing strategy when paired with education and structure. What the coming intergenerational wealth transfer means for women and why early preparation matters. A simple first step to start investing, even if you feel “not ready” yet.   Connect with Amanda Taylor Expand Your Empire   Connect with Anjel B.
