Ellen has done training for Citrix, Brainshark, Disney, Microsoft, Pennsylvania State Education Association, Maharishi International University, State University of New York at Buffalo, State University of Illinois, several law firms and many others. She's done onsite training, one-on-one virtual coaching, training and webinars. Here are the highlights of this episode: 1:53 Ellen’s ideal Client: My ideal client is a professional who needs to present well, and somebody whose presentation is crucial for his or her success. 2:15Problem Ellen helps solve: I guess we can simply say "death by PowerPoint" but to expand what that means, the problem is that they don't engage their audience so they annoy their audience, they don't give their audience what their wants or needs when they present to them. So, I would say poor oral communication skills. 3:07Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Ellen: It depends on the type of presentation; some are sales presentation, other are training presentation, it could be different types. But in general, if your audience is falling asleep, isn't engaging with you, doesn't respond to your call of action is, then that's a very easy way of knowing. That's a symptom that your presentation is not ideal. One of the tricks is try to find out in advance what the audience needs. It's a really great tip. People who don't speak well, they speak at the audience instead of interacting with the audience. They read from the slides using it as a teleprompter, they add images to decorate the slides instead of using it to enhancing understanding, retention and persuasive impact. 4:30What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Ellen and her solution: Surveys have shown what people hate most is presenters reading the slides, that will be the most common. 4:53Ellen’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): I have a technique or method that I call “tell-and-show” method. It's based on research by Michael Alley, who's a professor in the engineering school at Penn State. He tried different types of presentations and tested different groups of students with them. And he calls it "Assertion-Evidence", his more on science-based and he tells it a little bit snappier. But basically, what it is, is that you use the title of the slide to tell your point. And you use some type of graphic (photo, graph, diagram), whatever it is to show the point. For example, in terms of the telling part of it, you can have chart that shows first quarter sales or down. That might be your point but if you could just say "first quarter sales" and it doesn't tell people anything. But if you say on the top first quarter sales down 20%, then immediately they know what your point is, and they can listen to you and go along as you explain the chart a little bit more. This really helps people understand that.

Here are the highlights of this episode: 1:35 Rob’s ideal Client: Coaches and Business Owners 1:45Problem Rob helps solve: I help them get clients and customers. The big problem, challenge or opportunity is that, a lot of them don't know how to build an audience or nurture that audience. What sell are two factors; it's trust and an irresistible offer. If anything is not working in your marketing, it's one of those two factors. People are either going to trust you or they don't trust as you as a person because you're the experts who can get them the results they want. Or your offer is not irresistible enough, they either don't understand it or it's a not a no brainer for the value you give compare to the relatively small amount of money you charge. You can troubleshoot any marketing with trust and irresistible offer. 3:09Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Rob: They symptoms is usually not enough clients or not enough money coming into their business. As far as emotions, some of its confidence and mindset is like do they deserve it, can they really do it, etc. I like to say that they can hit any financial goal with two factors; Math and mindset. Math is knowing how are you going to hit your goal, and the mindset is do you really deserve it and is your stuffs really worth it. If you don't think so, your audience is going to feel that. If you know absolutely your stuffs is worth it, they're going to feel that too. 4:30What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Rob and his solution: Thinking that building a website is going to bring them business. I've gone to business for years with over six figures without a website. Sure, it's where people should go if they don't know you're trustworthy and want to check you out. But what we really want to do is to drive people to go to your landing pages that have one main goal for them to do; opt-in to your email list, watch your webinar, buy a program. And so, a lot of people just fulfill their dreams, build it and it will come, they think that building a website is going to bring them business but it doesn't. 5:51Rob’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): The big picture is you want to build and nurture an audience and then make irresistible offers to that audience. And I believe that the number one way to grow your list, and then nurture them and make an offer is by offering a giveaway. What you can do with the giveaways, is that you can identify your top 10-40 JVP (Joint Venture Partners) and invite them to give a gift or giveaway to your event and tell your list about it. If you can get 10 people with a nice-size list each, they're send their people to your front door which builds your list. And then people come to the front door and can choose the 10 most giveaways, what they want. But the even bigger impact it has, is that you will network between 10 to 40 of your ideal JV partners, meaning you started a relationship. And if you have a good relationship and now you have a list of the giveaways, you can start promoting each other.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”  Matthew 11:28-30What a beautiful invitation from Jesus!  This passage is worth reading over and over and memorizing so that it can easily be reflected upon during those more difficult moments in life.  We all have those moments.  The moments when we feel overwhelmed and burdened.  It could be we are burdened by some tragedy in life, or it could be we are burdened by the small and monotonous aspects of life.  One of the greatest daily burdens is that of our own sin.  But whatever the case may be, Jesus wants us to hear and believe these words.  “Come to me…” He says.  Come to me no matter what is going on in your life.  Come to me without hesitation and without fear. Jesus also promises us that His “yoke is easy” and His “burden is light.”  What does that mean?  Does it mean that coming to Jesus will remove all hardship from our lives?  No, not really.  What it means is that coming to Jesus will enable us to endure and walk through any hardship we encounter in life.  Advent reminds us that God the Son came and took on our human nature and all that goes along with being human.  And though He never sinned, He allowed Himself to experience the effects of sin and the burden it imposes.  So as God, He is able to look us in the eye and tell us that He understands our hardships because He lived them.  He lived them out of love for us so that He could help us endure, joyfully, all we face in life.Reflect, today, upon this gentle and glorious invitation from Jesus.  Let Him enter into whatever it is that burdens you.  Let Him carry the yoke that you carry and give you, instead, the gentle yoke He has prepared for you.  The cross you bear may not go away, but it will be transformed and made light in His grace.Lord, I surrender my life and all that I am to You.  I accept Your invitation to come to You.  Thank You for Your unfailing compassion and concern for me.  Jesus, I trust in You.

Who is my guest for this episode? On episode I have the fortunate pleasure of sitting down with Ally Pintucci. Ally is one of the founders of When in Doubt Love and in this episode we dive into self-love. Why did I bring Ally onto the show? I brought Ally onto to the show because she is an incredibly beautiful human being who like all of us has had her ups and downs. Ally discusses how she was able to lose 70 pounds through a determined lifestyle change. She focused on eating better and incorporating a variety of workouts into her daily life. Though having a lot of success physically, mentally this took a toll on her. She talks about how the sudden drop in weight caused her to have body dysmorphia. Ally gets raw and shares her personal inner demons along with how she continues to cope with them. John 3:22-30What is the chief cause of the downfall of so many of God’s holy ministers?  Why have so many risen through the ranks of usefulness in the kingdom of God, only to end in the dust of defeat?  Why do so many after receiving a name, suddenly fall bringing great shame and reproach to that holy name to which their lives once brought glory and honour?  The answer is contained in a five lettered word called PRIDE.  In this message, we look at the life of a humble man who knew his place!!  John the Baptist knew that he was the forerunner of the one who came after him of whose shoes he was worthy to untie!  If any man had reason to boast, it was this man.  Have you been given a ministry like unto this man’s?  Did the prophets speak of you?  Was you filled with the Holy Spirit from your mother’s womb?  Did Christ ever say of you that among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater prophet?  Yet John the Baptist knew his place because he knew His (Messiah’s) place.  His heart’s cry and confession was simple…He must increase, but I must decrease!!
