For over 40 years, Dr. Martin Moore-Ede has been a leading world expert on circadian clocks and the health problems caused by electric light at night. As a professor at Harvard Medical School (1975 – 1998), he led the team that located the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the biological clock in the human brain that controls the timing of sleep and wake, and showed how it is synchronized by light. Since 2010, he has been the Director of the Circadian Lighting Research Center, which identified the key blue signal that synchronizes circadian clocks and developed patented LED lights, which provide health-optimized light across day and night based on comprehensive medical research. He has published over 180 scientific articles and authored ten books. His latest book, THE LIGHT DOCTOR: Using Light to Boost Health, Improve Sleep and Live Longer, has just been released. 3:15 Story. My whole life has been focused on the trajectory of light and the human body - particularly as a medical intern working 36 hours on and 12 hours off – when couldn't make sense of things that I had written the next day and that got me interested in the  circadian rhythm. So did a detour out of surgery and went to  Harvard Medical School to study the effect of light on the human body. At the time it was a new field – about 3 papers published a year on this. The papers  on circadian clocks are now in the thousands. I was invited to Harvard faculty and to open a lab. Here we discovered   the human brain SCN that regulates the body's cycles and rhythms. 4:17  rhythms of our body eg some things peak just before dawn ,  in the middle of the night like melatonin, late afternoon like  body temp,  and that light was a key signal that kept our biological clocks in sync with the outside world was not known at the time. 5:07 There began to be a recognition of the huge medical problem of those exposed to light at night like shift workers or sleeping with the lights on or just having artificial lights at night . And it is very much related to the colors of the light spectrum. 5:37 It is very much connected to white light is made of all the colors of the rainbow plus invisible ultraviolet and  infrared.   transcript verlafortier.substack.com For peer reviewed research on how your time spent in green space can change your mindset, balance your nervous system and your heart rate please go to verlafortier.substack.com and check out my books Take Back Your Outside Mindset: Live Longer, Stress Less, and Control Your Chronic Illness and Optimize Your Heart Rate: Balance Your Mind and Body With Green Space

RAW Cannabis as SUPERFOOD to BOOST Health & Vitality without a HIGH

Advantages of eating raw cannabis without getting high Do you know what happens if you eat raw marijuana? This is perhaps a little-known topic because not many people get to know more about its nutritional perspective. The body's endocannabinoid system can take advantage of its properties when ingested in its natural form; in addition, the brain system is activated when natural weed is consumed. The plant itself contains nutrients such as protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, that is, it is very complete and does not ask anything from any other food we eat frequently. You don't have to eat the buds directly, though, you can do it if you want; however, adding it to your food like salads, even in smoothies, is excellent. In addition to the nutrients mentioned above, raw cannabis provides omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and fiber. Remember that they also provide us with antioxidants, which help to establish or restore the integral well-being of our health. What I mean is that these elements contributed by cannabis are auxiliary to have a strong immunological system, help with diabetes, cardiac diseases, even minimize the possibility of suffering cancer. When the weed goes through the drying process, it loses chlorophyll, another element that brings benefits to the body. For example, it helps to regenerate, but at the cellular level, it is also useful for detoxification, counteracts inflammation, among others. An important matter to consider with the benefits of raw marijuana is the consumption of cannabidolic acid (CBD-A) and tetrahydrocannabonolic acid, providing their nutrients, leaving out components such as THC or CBD, which are activated with heat. The flavonoids are another of the molecules found in natural cannabis, in fact it is responsible for providing antioxidants, which greatly benefits our health. You will also receive doses of fiber, an element that many people lack because it maintains a poor diet. Fiber is necessary for the body to eradicate toxic substances; it is not good to store them. All the benefits for the health of eating cannabis are obtained when eating its leaves, roots, and buds, without cooking, without going through any manipulation or heating processes. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bronwyn59/message

His journey of deprogramming the thoughts that had impacted everything single thing he was doing in his life. The ego death he faced as he came to terms that everything he knew was killing him. Why you cannot get rid of the old programming; you have to build a new understanding and protocol to purge and replace it. The gradual physical purge he went through to be rid of toxic heavy metals and fungus in his system and repair what was broken. His revelation that he is not his body, his body is the host that his soul lives in. How he "fired" his body and finally began to act as the CEO of it. [1:00:00] Why Suffering Will Bring Real Joy What Ian has embodied on an emotional level to allow these health changes to start, continue, and sustain. Unpacking why the right kind of suffering will bring real joy. How positive emotions can spread when we see other people experiencing joy especially the power of healing. What you can do to continue to have a positive mindset in the face of unexpected challenges. How we can see obstacles as just a new adventure and how to work through the pain that comes up in those moments. Why we should let the pain soak in and let it work through us so that it can teach us new lessons. The fact that the word, "natural immunity" has been blocked and censored all over on Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Why the ability to obtain natural immunity is all around us if we're willing to seek it. Ian's vision for Activation in the future as we see authentic, loving leaders being noticed more and more. What genuine love looks like and how we can live by it every day. Why we cannot produce love, we can only nurture and care for what is already there. What it means to him to truly honor Mother Nature and use its gifts to help people get back to homeostasis. Power Quotes From The Show Our Soul's Life Energy "There is this life energy that is here in our spiritual world that is keeping our body alive and we are souls. We don't have a soul, we are souls. One of the biggest revelations I had on my healing journey is that my body isn't me - My body is the host I live in and I mistook it for me very much. I would think, "Oh I have cancer," and "I have heart disease," but that's not possible. A soul cannot get cancer and a soul cannot get heart disease." - Ian Clark Be In Charge of Your Health "The body can get sick and they can call it names but the body is either going to misbehave itself and keep being addicted to the wrong foods and throw temper tantrums when you try to correct your body or it's going to come under subjection to you. You have to put your body under subjection to you; you have to take over. So, I literally told my body one day, "You are fired. You are absolutely fired." My body had been the CEO of my life but I, my soul, was going to change all that and take back being in charge." - Ian Clark Healing On Your Terms "You have to figure out for yourself what the most efficient time, money, and energy-wise way to heal is because you don't want to go broke getting healthy. Do not chase your tail all day long to be a health nut. You simply want to have top-level health based on the cards your epigenetics were dealt. Feed your body with Mother Nature's intelligence and you will unplug all of the pathways causing your body harm. You will see the difference in your brain function, your body, and your emotional IQ." - Ian Clark Links From Today's Show  Ian Clark Save 20% on your Activation Products order with code "WELLNESSFORCE" 353 Dr. Ben Lynch Oceans Alive Seaspiracy | Official Trailer Ease Magnesium Perfect K2D3 Bo Eason 15 Signs And Symptoms You're Probably Magnesium Deficient Amyloid plaques Leave Wellness + Wisdom a review on iTunes breathwork.io M21 Wellness Guide Wellness + Wisdom Community Activation Products YouTube Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn Josh's Trusted Products | Up To 40% Off Shop All Products BREATHE - 20% off with the code “PODCAST20” Organifi –20% off with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' QI-Shield EMF Device - 20% off with the code "JOSH" SEED Synbiotic - 30% off with the code "JOSHTRENT" BON CHARGE - 15% off with the code "JOSH15" BiOptimizers - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" MANNA Vitality - 20% off with the code "JOSH20" Mendi.io - 20% off with the code "JOSH20" SpectraSculpt - 15% off with the code "JOSH15" SaunaSpace - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" Cured Nutrition CBD - 20% off with the code "WELLNESS FORCE" PLUNGE - $150 off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE" LiftMode - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" MitoZen – 10% off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” Paleovalley – 15% off with the link only NOOTOPIA - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" Activation Products - 20% off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” SENSATE - $25 off with the code "JOSH25" ION - 15% off with the code ‘JOSH1KS' Feel Free from Botanic Tonics - $40 off with the code "WELLNESS40" Essential Oil Wizardry - 10% off with the code "WELLNESSFORCE" ALIVE WATERS - 33% off your first order with the code "JOSH33" DRY FARM WINES - Get an extra bottle of Pure Natural Wine with your order for just 1¢ Drink LMNT – Zero Sugar Hydration: Get your free LMNT Sample Pack, with any purchase About Ian Clark When Ian Clark was just 46 years old, a number of life-threatening health issues slammed Ian all at once and he was then forced to start searching for solutions across the world. Refusing to accept the heavy dire circumstances where he found himself, he decided to pursue a natural path to fixing his health. Ian traveled the globe, uncovering potent remedies and whole foods with powerful natural health benefits. After over five years of intense research and learning what it takes to support the body's natural ability to heal itself, Ian set out to share that information with others. With his sons and the support of a team of innovators, Activation Products was born with Ian as a Trustee and quickly grew into a company that helps tens of thousands of people achieve their health goals every day.

When working remotely, there is no longer a clear boundary between work and home like there is when working at an office. We are also more likely to experience prolonged sitting, increased screen time, and increased sedentary lifestyle – all of which can compromise physical, mental, and emotional health. In this episode of the Mind Your Health Podcast, Dr. Connie discusses the importance of being mindful of how working at home influences your physical body and your mind, and what you can do to decrease the health risks associated with working remotely. Efrati also directs the Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research, and our conversation in this episode focuses on the potential health benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Efrati's studies point to a connection between the use of hyperbaric chambers and improvements for a range of health problems such as Long Covid, strokes and traumatic brain injuries. Plus, Efrati has an early line of research suggesting that hyperbaric oxygen therapy could help protect against cognitive decline in healthy people and perhaps even slow down the overall aging process. We talk about what's going in on the body during hyperbaric oxygen therapy that could possibly lead to transformative benefits for patients, some of whom had searched for treatments previously and come up empty. We also discuss exactly where Efrati is with this line of inquiry, both what his studies have shown and the great deal of additional research that's needed before the healthcare system can and should fully embrace hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Efrati and I talk about why you can't just go on Amazon and buy something that says hyperbaric – the only way it can have a positive effect is if you access the real version of the chamber and use it correctly under the supervision of a knowledgeable physician.I also ask Efrati what we know about the short- and long-term risks for those who follow the research-based protocol on a regular basis. And what about accessibility to people without a lot of extra cash to spend on their health? Efrati is already rolling out this therapy at a small number of specialized clinics in places like the Villages retirement community in Florida.

Uncovering the Root Cause of Chronic Illness to Boost Health and Resilience with Dr. Aaron Hartman

Do you suffer from brain fog, gut issues, aches and pains, or some other type of chronic condition that limits your ability to feel healthy and happy? JJ recently spoke with Integrative and Functional Medicine Practitioner Dr. Aaron Hartman about complex ""mystery"" illnesses that are actually more common than you realize—and why our current healthcare system often overlooks the root cause of the problem. Dr. Hartman first became interested in mystery illness diagnosis when he and his wife adopted their first daughter, Anna. At two years old, Anna had cerebral palsy and countless dietary and neurological issues, and doctors told them she would never crawl, walk, or talk. They went to specialist after specialist, and many wanted to ""treat"" Anna with invasive surgical procedures that often seemed to have no benefit. It was then that Dr. Hartman and his wife started questioning the experts if something didn't feel right, which led them to functional medicine. Through their own in-depth research, they found positive strategies that worked for Anna—many of which were incredibly basic, including eating real food, exercise, and quality sleep—and today she is 16 years old, walking with crutches, loves playing chess, and ""won't stop talking”. Dr. Hartman now works with numerous patients in his practice that are suffering from complicated, chronic illnesses, and JJ speaks to him about the importance of starting with the basics (gut, stress, and sleep) to help them feel better. The bottom line: People don't just get sick overnight. Years of unhealthy eating, too much stress, and poor sleep can bring us to a point where all it takes is one triggering event to bring our health crashing down around us. In this episode, you'll learn what things precede these mystery illnesses, what triggers them, and what you can do right now to increase your health and resilience. Welcome to our new segment, "Three Minute Thursday"  (#3MinThursday) where I highlight a piece of wisdom I've come across from my own readings over the past week, or share with you an inspirational anecdote that can help you lead a more calm, free and full life. --This week I have compassion on my mind. Compassion is an antidote to stress, anxiety, and a gateway practice to thriving. I recently learned this from taking part in a talk given by Dr. Jim Doty at Stanford University who is a co-founder of a program called ACT – Applied Compassion Training.Jim spoke about how compassion has been scientifically proven to be a health-booster not unlike exercise, the Mediterranean Diet and meditation. When we are kind and compassionate, our physiology changes through the reward centers in our brain. By practicing compassion, our blood pressure goes down, our immune system is boosted, there's a decrease in levels of inflammatory proteins, and a decrease in stress hormones levels. We move from the fight or flight (threat mode) mode to the rest and digest mode, where we're tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system. We actually live longer when we're compassionate! So how do we become compassionate and practice compassion? Compassion happens when we see ourselves in others – or we're able to see the other as ourselves. When we realize we are all a part of a common humanity. We are all one. Compassion happens when we wake up to the truth that we're innately hardwired to connect with others and to have empathy for our fellow humans. This talk really opened my eyes to what truly affects our long-term health. Its not just meditation and fitness that can work wonders, its our relationship with others, its showing up with kindness, caring for one another, and realizing our oneness, that can further our mental and physical health. Compassion is no doubt compelling. And if you'd like to learn more about the science behind it – please look up the ACT program and the CCARE program at Stanford Medicine.--For more from Host Pooja Mottl:  www.PoojaMottl.comPodcast Producer: www.Go-ToProductions.comTwitter: @PoojaMottlInstagram: @TheCalmandFreePodcast and @PoojaMottl  LinkedIn: @PoojaMottlSpecial Thanks : Kris Kosach of the TPR Podcast for lending her VO for our Podcast Intro.Jessica Panian for her help with our graphic design. Sufi Kaur for managing and designing our social graphics.

If we are around really toxic, negative people, that is just as bad for our health vs someone who eats Big Macs every day.” — Lori Bouchard    “We all have cancer cells. That's the reality of it. … So we have to look at how our immune system is focusing and getting rid of these abnormal cells every single day.” — Lori Bouchard    “[My] mission [is] to help people realize our [bodies are] phenomenal and amazing. You can start by doing breathing exercises in the morning. From here you can do some light stretching or even go for a short walk. The important thing is that you are slowly incorporating it into your routine and giving yourself time to consistently ease into it. Listen to your body!Fitness is not a one-size-fits-all. Our bodies are all different, which means the extent of fitness, diet, and sleep we need to recover from the stress we put on our bodies will differ. If your body is screaming to sleep - drop what you're doing and rest! Whatever you're doing can wait because if you keep pushing your body, one day, your body won't be able to keep up anymore. Weight is NOT the goal. Losing weight does not automatically mean that you're healthier. A lot of people try to go through unhealthy methods to lose weight within 30 days or less. However, the real goal you need to be focusing on is slowly working on your body so that it is healthy in the long term. This will ensure that you are confident, sharp, and have the energy to work on and be with people that mean the most to you. Find the right diet! There's a lot of diets out there on social media. A lot of the time these are diets we take on without knowing if they're really the diets we SHOULD be doing to reach our goals. Moreover, we don't even know if they are good for our bodies. The perfect diet for you is one that enables you to eat healthy, to enjoy what you're eating, gives you energy, and ultimately makes you happy. Ready for the Leap?Listen to Episode 56 of the Total Fit Boss Chick Podcast to know more about fitness, wellness, and what it means to live a healthy lifestyle despite being busy! A bonus tip to find more time for things you love is finding the perfect productivity method for you.
