For women with chronic illness, the dread that builds ahead of a hard week can cost you more than the week itself. You spend Sunday running the work, the appointments, the flare you're sure is coming — and by Monday your body has already lived it three times over. This mini is about that anticipatory dread, one of the emotional patterns that quietly drains the energy your body needs, and the simple shift that stops you living the hard thing twice. That's how Bruce Lipton describes what's happening to the planet right now. He's a cell biologist, and he says the science is clear: this civilization can't be fixed. It's corrupt at the root. So it has to collapse. Not us. Just this version of how we live. Lipton breaks down something wild. Every one of us is basically a cell in one giant organism called humanity. And right now that organism has an autoimmune disease. We're attacking each other instead of cooperating. He gives it 10 to 20 years. Irreversible. But here's the flip. He says the chaos is actually a good sign. It means we're close to building something better. Taking time off to heal was supposed to be the thing that finally worked. So why do you feel exactly the same, or worse? Here's what nobody tells women with chronic illness who step back from work to recover. Stopping your job is not the same as resting your body. And if you've quietly turned getting better into your new full-time job, complete with targets, a timeline and a daily verdict on whether you're passing or failing, your body is still under pressure. It never actually stopped. They discuss exposures beyond allergy (mycotoxins, VOCs, microbial fragments), genetic susceptibility (HLA haplotypes), and prevalence estimates tied to water-damaged homes. Before the Target collabs, before the McCormick's deal, before millions of people called her their favorite auntie on the internet,Tabitha Brown was sitting in the dark, convinced she was dying. In one of the most honest conversations Happy With Tammi Mac has ever produced, host Tammi Mac creates a sacred space for Tabitha Brown to go all the way back. Back to 2016 and 2017, when she spent over a year battling a mysterious autoimmune illness that left doctors baffled and left Tabitha terrified. With a headache that lasted one year and seven months, vision loss, chronic pain, and failing strength in her hands, Tabitha's mind went to the place she feared most, her mother. Her mother, who died of ALS at just 51. Her mother, who was told by doctors that it was all in her head for 11 months, before being given six months to two years to live. Tabitha saw the mirror. And she prepared herself for the end. What saved her wasn't another doctor's appointment. It was a documentary. A conversation with her daughter. A decision to go vegan for 30 days. And on Day 10, the headache that had been her constant companion for nearly two years was gone. This episode moves through all three segments of Happy With Tammi Mac: The Dark Journey, Tabitha's health crisis and grief; The Turning Point, the plant-based decision that changed her biology and her destiny; and Finding Happy, what it means to look back at the viral car video that launched everything and choose gratitude over forgetting. Tammi Mac also shares her own story, the pandemic depression that inspired this entire podcast, reminding us that sometimes the most honest thing you can say is "I did this for me." This episode is for anyone who has been dismissed by a doctor. For anyone who has watched someone they love die too young. For anyone who has sat in the silence of a body that won't cooperate and a mind that has started saying goodbye. And for anyone who needs proof that a turning point is still possible. Happiness has been a hard word to come by, but it will exist again.

She shares how a devastating reaction to the Gardasil vaccine shattered her faith in conventional medicine and led her to a new premise: there is no flaw in the body, and every expression is by design. Through story, analogy, and hard-earned experience, Dr. Huckaby unpacks the difference between fixes and true change, why your beliefs and daily inputs matter more than any protocol, and how reclaiming your power as "the most advanced quantum machine on the planet" is the real revolution in health freedom.   Highlights: "You can't be the most powerful thing on the planet and the victim to everything at the same time."   "It doesn't matter if we're good or right. It matters if we're true."   "If your body is doing it, it's by design and it's trying to save your life."   "Most people never get to 'the day' because they don't have the grit to get there."   Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction 02:31 Dr. Cassie's First Public Talk & "Inputs" Concept 05:52 The Two Premises of Medicine 07:10 Horror Movie Thought Experiment 09:29 Choosing Truth Over Being Right 12:46 Gardasil Injury & Losing Faith in Conventional Medicine 14:20 Jumping into Naturopathic Medicine with Grit 18:00 "The Day" Everything Finally Feels Different 21:57 Fix vs. Change: Why Quick Fixes Keep You Imprisoned Resources:   Remember to Rate, Review, and Subscribe on iTunes and Follow us on Spotify!   Learn more about Dr. Stanton Hom on:   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drstantonhom    Website: https://futuregenerationssd.com/  Podcast Website: https://thefuturegen.com  Twitter: https://twitter.com/drstantonhom   LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stanhomdc   Stay Connected with the Future Generations Podcast:   Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/futuregenpodcast   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/futuregenpodcast/     About Dr. Cassie Huckaby: Dr. Cassie Huckaby, Founder of Grit Natural Medicine is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Clinical Immunology and Integrative Approaches to Autoimmune Disease, The Institute for Specialized Medicine, Functional Neurology, International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Chemistry The desire to go off grid and have the ability to grow your own food has never been stronger than before. Good morning from Pharma Daily: the podcast that brings you the most important developments in the pharmaceutical and biotech world. Recent weeks have been a whirlwind of activity in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, showcasing significant strides in scientific breakthroughs, regulatory advancements, and strategic industry maneuvers. Replimune's Vusolimogene Oderparepvec has emerged as a beacon of hope in the fight against advanced melanoma. This gene therapy, utilizing an oncolytic virus, has recently received a positive nod from an advisory committee for its Phase 1/2 trial. When combined with PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors, it holds promise for enhancing immune responses against tumors—a critical development in cancer treatment that may redefine therapeutic strategies. This advancement follows two prior FDA rejections, underscoring the multifaceted evaluation process drugs undergo before approval and demonstrating that perseverance can eventually lead to success. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo have achieved a milestone with the European Union's approval of Datopotamab Deruxtecan for treating unresectable or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). As an antibody-drug conjugate targeting the Trop-2 protein, it offers new hope to TNBC patients who often have limited options. This approval underscores the potential of antibody-drug conjugates in oncology, supported by promising Phase 3 trial data. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is enjoying notable revenue growth thanks to Dupixent, a monoclonal antibody addressing autoimmune and respiratory diseases. Such financial success underscores the expanding role of biologics in tackling chronic illnesses, reflecting a broader industry trend towards biologically-based treatments. In business news, Pharmanovia's licensing deal with Impact Therapeutics for Senaparib signifies strategic expansion in oncology therapeutics. Similarly, Kaigene's agreement with Taisho Pharmaceutical highlights ongoing interest in autoimmune therapies, illustrating how companies are leveraging partnerships to broaden their therapeutic horizons. Pfizer is on the brink of expanding its label for Ritlecitinib (Litfulo), a JAK3 inhibitor that showed positive results in Phase 3 trials for nonsegmental vitiligo. By targeting autoimmune pathways, this small molecule could offer new hope to vitiligo patients seeking effective treatments. Litfulo is advancing through regulatory stages following successful trials, poised to provide an oral alternative for non-segmental vitiligo—a potential game-changer that could improve patient compliance and expand treatment options beyond Incyte's Opzelura. However, not all news is positive. Novo Nordisk faced disappointment when its Ziltivekimab failed a Phase 3 trial for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with chronic kidney disease. Despite this setback, Novo Nordisk remains optimistic about ongoing trials Artemis and Hermes as potential lifelines for their CKD program. Success could diversify their portfolio and introduce novel therapeutic options for CKD patients. Additionally, financial hurdles surfaced as Daiichi Sankyo saw an 11% share drop due to an accounting error, and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals' market value took a hit following a lowered revenue forecast for its TTR drug. On a global scale, the Trump administration has allocated $600 million to GAVI for childhood immunizations worldwide. This funding reversal emphasizes ongoing efforts to ensure vaccine accessibility across the globe—an essential component of public health initiatives. The dynamic nature of these developments reflects both the potential and challenges within the pharmaceutical landscape. The promising avenues presented by gene therapy, antibody-drug conjugates, and JAK inhibitors are tempered by clinical setbacks and financial volatility, underscoring the rigorous demands faced by industry stakeholders. In other industry news, AbbVie's Skyrizi continues to thrive despite increasing competition in the psoriasis market. With sales reaching $5.55 billion in Q2 2026, Skyrizi demonstrates the sustained demand for innovative biologics that enhance treatment efficacy and safety profiles. Karyopharm Therapeutics remains committed to its XPO1 inhibitor Xpovio despite setbacks in other indications like endometrial cancer. Their focus on myelofibrosis illustrates a strategic pivot towards hematologic malignancies where unmet needs persist. Oral GLP-1 receptor agonists are gaining ground as Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill and Eli Lilly's Foundayo vie for dominance in weight management solutions. These oral formulations promise increased accessibility over traditional injectables. Regulatory arenas continue to evolve with AbbVie's Rinvoq gaining European clearance for alopecia and vitiligo. Such approvals highlight regulatory bodies' critical role in expanding market access across diverse therapeutic areas. Strategic partnerships also abound as WellSpan Health collaborates with Hippocratic AI to integrate artificial intelligence into healthcare solutions—a growing trend aimed at enhancing clinical decision-making capabilities. Meanwhile, Apnimed's $192 million IPO success indicates strong investor confidence in novel therapeutics like its sleep apnea treatment—a reflection of biopharma's financing dynamics where targeted therapies draw significant interest. Overall, these updates paint a vivid picture of an industry characterized by relentless innovation through scientific research, strategic alliances, and regulatory progress—all aimed at improving patient outcomes amidst evolving market demands. The industry's focus on breakthrough technologies continues to shape global health initiatives by offering new opportunities for patient care across various conditions. As companies navigate this dynamic environment marked by both promise and challenge—their ability to innovate scientifically while engaging strategically with regulators will be crucial to bringing novel therapies effectively into clinical practice where they can make meaningful impacts on patients' lives worldwide.Support the show

Good morning from Pharma Daily: the podcast that brings you the most important developments in the pharmaceutical and biotech world. Today, we delve into a series of events that underscore the dynamic nature of these industries, characterized by scientific advancements, strategic partnerships, and regulatory milestones. Johnson & Johnson has made headlines with its substantial $785 million upfront payment to Sail BioMed for an in vivo CAR-T cell therapy deal. This agreement includes an option for Johnson & Johnson to acquire Sail BioMed for $2.58 billion, underscoring the sustained interest in cell therapies, particularly for autoimmune diseases. In vivo CAR-T therapies represent a significant leap forward by modifying T cells directly within the patient's body. This method offers potential advantages over traditional ex vivo techniques by simplifying the manufacturing process and potentially reducing both costs and time to treatment. Such transactions highlight Johnson & Johnson's commitment to expanding its cell therapy portfolio, which could significantly enhance patient care by making advanced treatments more accessible. Eli Lilly and Resilience have announced a significant $750 million investment aimed at boosting the production of diabetes and obesity medications in the United States. This move comes as a response to the global rise in these conditions, necessitating increased production capacities to meet growing demand. The focus on injectable drug devices emphasizes efforts to improve drug delivery systems, ultimately enhancing patient compliance and therapeutic outcomes. Sanofi's financial outlook for 2026 is promising, driven by robust sales of Dupixent, which exceeded €5 billion in quarterly sales. Dupixent, a monoclonal antibody used for treating atopic dermatitis and other autoimmune conditions, has been a significant revenue driver for Sanofi. The success of Dupixent reflects its effectiveness and strong market adoption, highlighting the potential of monoclonal antibodies as cornerstones of modern pharmacotherapy, particularly for chronic inflammatory diseases. Regeneron and Sanofi's Dupixent continues performing strongly with $6 billion in sales during Q2 2026—marking its largest quarterly revenue since the pandemic began—illustrating robust demand across various indications within both companies' portfolios. On the regulatory front, Alfasigma's Linerixibat (Lynavoy) has received a positive opinion from the CHMP for treating cholestatic pruritus in primary biliary cholangitis following successful Phase 3 trials. As an IBAT inhibitor targeting bile acid metabolism pathways, Lynavoy introduces a novel therapeutic approach for managing symptoms associated with this autoimmune liver disease. Meanwhile, ImmunityBio's Anktiva has gained marketing authorization in the UAE for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Anktiva, an IL-15 cytokine-based protein therapy, exemplifies the growing interest in harnessing immune system modulators for cancer treatment. Takeda's recent decision to discontinue its nanoparticle therapy (TAK-101) for celiac disease highlights the inherent challenges in developing new therapies for autoimmune disorders. The disappointing Phase 2 results suggest that achieving immune tolerance to dietary gluten remains a significant scientific hurdle. From a strategic perspective, Sanofi's CEO has emphasized stricter go/no-go decisions during Phase 3 clinical trials amid pipeline cuts and significant impairment losses. This approach could lead to more efficient resource allocation and potentially higher success rates for late-stage drug candidates. The industry is witnessing significant transformations through strategic shifts driven by executives like Sanofi's new CEO Belen Garijo. Her vision includes reversing recent challenges faced by Sanofi by capitalizing on its strengths while addressing setbacks such as discontinuing certain late-stage clinical programs like the joint venture with Regeneron on the IL-33 candidate itepekimab. This strategic pivot mirrors broader industry trends toward optimizing late-stage pipelines to enhance competitive positioning and drive future growth. Advancements in AI-powered drug discovery continue gaining momentum through collaborations like those between GSK and Relation Therapeutics, alongside Causaly and Sage. These partnerships aim to leverage AI and machine learning technologies to accelerate drug discovery processes by integrating vast amounts of scientific literature into data analytics platforms. GlaxoSmithKline's $110 million deal with an AI biotech firm further signals increased integration between artificial intelligence technologies and pharmaceutical research efforts aimed at enhancing dataset quality thereby accelerating innovation throughout drug discovery processes. Bristol Myers Squibb faces further delays regarding its Alzheimer's psychosis treatment Cobenfy—a postponement reflecting ongoing complexities related to neurological drug development which requires overcoming high scientific hurdles alongside regulatory scrutiny. Alnylam Pharmaceuticals recently experienced a 29% drop in stock value following disappointing sales of Amvuttra and a downward revision of its ATTR franchise outlook for 2026. Such fluctuations highlight volatility within biotech investments when market expectations are not met. These collective developments reveal significant trends shaping today's pharmaceutical landscape: strategic pipeline optimization efforts alongside robust investment initiatives targeting high-demand therapeutic areas—all while leveraging technological advancements like AI integration aimed at improving R&D efficiency ultimately impacting patient care worldwide through innovative therapies addressing unmet medical needs globally.Support the show

Once you can reliably engineer, manufacture, and preserve their function, the limitation is no longer what the cell naturally does. It becomes what biology you can encode into it. Glioblastoma is the proving ground, and the platform's reach extends to liver cancers, sarcomas, peritoneal malignancies, and chronic inflammatory disease. These episodes expand on the same themes of MSC biology, cell engineering, and the challenges of scaling consistent, functional cell therapies:Episodes 179 - 180 : How Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Are Transforming Care for Diabetes and Autoimmune Diseases with Lindsay DaviesEpisodes 253 - 254: How to Source, Manufacture, and Scale the Earliest Stem Cells for Allogeneic Cell Therapy Without Ethical Barriers with Yuta LeeEpisodes 125 - 126: How to Enhance Cell Engineering Using Mechanical Intracellular Delivery with Armon ShareiEpisodes 129 - 130: Revolutionizing Cell Therapy Manufacturing: Reducing Costs to Reach More Patients with Jason FosterConnect with Jun Yung Woo:LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/junyungwooAGEM Bio website: www.agem.bioEmail: yung@agem.bioSupport the show

If you've ever been told your lab work looks "normal," yet you still feel exhausted, inflamed, or like something just isn't right in your body, this episode is for you. Autoimmune conditions rarely happen overnight. For many people, symptoms build slowly over years—fatigue, digestive issues, hair loss, chronic inflammation, anxiety, and unexplained health changes that often leave them searching for answers. In this episode, I'm joined by VJ Hamilton, Registered Nutritionist, Functional Medicine Practitioner, and founder of the Autoimmune Nutrition Clinic. Together, we explore the hidden drivers behind autoimmune disease, why gut health and nervous system regulation matter so much, and how functional medicine helps uncover root causes instead of simply managing symptoms. We also discuss the surprising connection between stress, childhood health, gut health, alopecia, and why learning to truly listen to your body may be one of the most powerful healing tools you have. If you or your clients are navigating autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, or unexplained symptoms, this conversation offers hope, practical strategies, and a fresh perspective on healing.   In This Episode, We Cover: Why autoimmune disease continues to rise The connection between gut health and autoimmune conditions How stress impacts the immune system The relationship between nervous system regulation and healing Common root causes behind alopecia and hair loss Why nutrient deficiencies and gut imbalances matter How childhood health influences adult autoimmune conditions Functional medicine testing for autoimmune disease The role of stool testing, Organic Acids Testing, and DUTCH testing Why personalized nutrition works better than one-size-fits-all approaches How to recognize early warning signs before symptoms become chronic Why healing starts by listening to your body   A Message I Want You to Hear Healing isn't about chasing symptoms. It's about understanding why your body is asking for help in the first place. Your symptoms aren't your enemy. They're information. When you begin listening instead of silencing them, you create space for true healing.   Why Autoimmune Disease Is Increasing Autoimmune disease is becoming more common than ever before. While improved diagnosis plays a role, lifestyle factors also contribute. Modern life exposes us to more chronic stress, environmental toxins, processed foods, sleep disruption, and nervous system overload than previous generations. All of these factors influence how the immune system functions. Healing requires looking beyond one symptom and understanding the bigger picture.   The Gut-Immune Connection One of the first places VJ investigates is the gut. Why? Because the gut plays a central role in immune health. Digestive dysfunction, bacterial overgrowth, parasites, inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies can all contribute to immune dysregulation. When the gut isn't functioning well, the body struggles to absorb the nutrients needed for repair and healing. Supporting gut health often becomes one of the first steps toward restoring balance.   Why Nervous System Regulation Matters Nutrition is only part of the equation. Healing also requires creating safety within the body. Chronic stress keeps the nervous system in a constant state of survival. Over time, this impacts digestion, hormone production, immune function, and energy levels. Simple practices like walking in nature, slowing down, mindfulness, Pilates, gratitude, and finding joy can help shift the body back toward healing.   Listening to Your Body One of the most powerful lessons in this conversation is learning to notice the small signals before they become major health problems. Fatigue. Digestive discomfort. Joint pain. Changes in your skin. Hair loss. Sleep disruptions. Rather than pushing through them, these symptoms become opportunities to pause and ask what your body is trying to communicate.   Functional Testing Creates Clarity Instead of guessing which supplements or protocols might help, functional testing provides valuable insight into what's happening beneath the surface. Some of the tests VJ commonly uses include: Comprehensive stool testing Organic Acids Testing (OAT) DUTCH hormone testing Functional blood work These tools help identify gut imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, detoxification challenges, hormone metabolism, and cellular health, allowing for a truly personalized healing plan.   Your Action Step Instead of asking, "How do I get rid of this symptom?" Try asking: "What is my body trying to tell me?" Begin paying attention to your sleep, stress levels, digestion, energy, and emotional well-being. Small daily observations often become the first step toward lasting transformation.   Final Thoughts Healing isn't about finding one magic supplement. It's about understanding your body as an interconnected system. When you support your gut, regulate your nervous system, nourish your body, and uncover the root causes behind your symptoms, healing becomes much more than symptom management. It becomes a way of living.   Resources Learn more about VJ Hamilton: Website: https://theautoimmunitynutritionist.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theautoimmunitynutritionist/ Free Autoimmunity Recovery Guide: https://theautoimmunitynutritionist.com/freeguide Facebook Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theautoimmuneforum   Are you a health coach in need of done-for-you content? Here's a question no one in the wellness world wants you to ask - what if your gratitude practice is making you feel worse? For women with chronic illness, gratitude gets prescribed like a supplement — do it every morning, feel better. But when you sit down exhausted, flat, and not remotely thankful, and write the list anyway, your body doesn't register calm. It registers one more moment of overriding what you actually feel. And that overriding is one of the emotional patterns that fuels physical symptoms. In this mini, you'll discover:Why forcing gratitude you don't feel can have the opposite effect on your bodyHow the energy behind a practice matters more than the practice itselfOne simple shift that makes gratitude something your body actually responds toThe override we talk about today is rarely the only pattern at play. If you've ever wondered why you can't see what everyone else sees about your own life, or why a doctor's explanation for your symptoms never quite sits right, this episode is for you. This is for the Christian woman dealing with exhaustion, autoimmune disease, or chronic symptoms who is tired of trying every protocol, supplement, and diet with nothing sticking, and is ready to understand what's really shaping the way she sees her health, her body, and her healing. Today we're talking about how the brain filters information, why that filtering system can actually keep us sick, and why renewing our minds according to Scripture is the starting point for real, holistic health, not just another treatment plan. How the Brain Filters What You See, Hear, and Feel Your brain is not a camera. It doesn't record reality as it is. It filters constantly, deciding in real time what deserves your attention and what gets tossed aside as background noise. You've experienced this without realizing it: You can hear your own name across a crowded room, even with dozens of conversations happening at once. You stop noticing your clothes on your skin within seconds of getting dressed. A strong smell in a house fades from your awareness within minutes, even though nothing about the smell changed. In a crisis, the body sometimes doesn't register pain from a serious injury until later. Once you notice a certain car model, suddenly you see that same car everywhere on the road. None of this is a flaw. It's how the brain is designed to function. Without this filtering, you'd be overwhelmed by every sound, sight, and sensation competing for your attention at once. When the Filter Becomes the Problem This filtering system becomes a real issue when our brains have been wired by trauma, repetition, or years of unexamined belief. Some people have been hurt so deeply that they perceive everyone around them as a threat. Others live in denial about a pattern in their life that everyone around them can clearly see, simply because their brain has never been trained to notice it. The same is true physically. Some nurses work entire shifts without eating or resting, because their bodies and brains have been trained to treat exhaustion as normal, until the body eventually breaks down. Once the brain has learned to see the world a certain way, it will keep seeing it that way until it is intentionally reprogrammed. Why This Matters for Your Health, Including the Medical Field Here's where this gets important for holistic health and chronic illness recovery: the medical field is not exempt from this filtering. Like everyone else, medical professionals are trained to see health through a specific lens, shaped by their education and the protocols they were taught. That training is not necessarily wrong, but it is not necessarily complete either. When you hear a diagnosis like diabetes, hyperlipidemia, or stroke, a very specific set of treatments and patient pictures likely comes to mind, because that's the programming behind it. This isn't a call to distrust your doctor or live in fear. It's a call to remember that every person offering you guidance, whether in medicine, media, or your own family, is operating from their own limited programming. That includes the news, social media, entertainment, and even the beliefs passed down in your own family or culture. Renewing Your Mind: A Faith-Based Approach to Health Scripture speaks directly to this pattern. Romans 12:2 instructs us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds, so that we can test and discern what is good, acceptable, and perfect. Second Corinthians 10:5 calls us to take every thought captive and hold it up against the truth of God's word. This means that when a doctor, a nurse practitioner, or anyone else tells you there is only one treatment option, or that there is no treatment at all, that statement deserves to be brought before God first. Ask what He says about your situation before accepting any single viewpoint as the final word. This same principle applies far beyond healthcare. Consider how our view of the world has been shaped since childhood, by our upbringing, our culture, our socioeconomic background, and our life experiences. None of us are neutral observers. We have all been programmed by something. The good news is that awareness is the first step. Once we recognize that our filters may be incomplete or inaccurate, we can bring every thought, every belief, and every diagnosis before God and ask Him to renew our minds. There Is Always Hope First Corinthians 13:7 reminds us that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Whatever you are walking through right now, whether it's exhaustion, chronic symptoms, or autoimmune disease, there is always hope when we bring it to the Lord first. Episode Highlights 00:00 – Your brain isn't showing you what's true; it's filtering it, and what gets filtered out may be the very thing keeping you sick 00:30 – The cocktail party effect and everyday examples of the brain's filtering system in action 00:57 – How the body filters out pain during crisis mode 01:24 – The "frequency illusion" explained through a simple personal story 01:54 – How trauma wires the brain to see the world through a distorted lens 02:52 – Why we can be blind to our own patterns, even when others clearly see them 03:20 – How the body and brain normalize unhealthy patterns over time 03:48 – Why the medical field's training and programming can be incomplete, ineffective, or wrong 04:48 – Romans 12:2 and the call to be transformed by the renewal of our minds 05:17 – Second Corinthians 10:5 and taking every thought captive 05:46 – What to do when a doctor says there is only one treatment, or none at all 06:43 – How culture, media, and family shape our personal programming 07:40 – Reflecting on how different backgrounds and experiences shape our view of health and life 09:08 – The call to renewal: awareness is the first step toward change 09:37 – 1 Corinthians 13:7 and the reminder that hope endures Key Takeaways The brain filters information constantly, and that filtering can either protect you or limit you. Trauma, repetition, and unexamined belief can wire the brain to see the world inaccurately, including your own health. The medical field operates from training and programming just like everyone else, which means it can be incomplete or wrong. This is not a reason to live in fear or distrust every medical professional. It is a reason to bring every thought and every diagnosis before God first. Romans 12:2 and Second Corinthians 10:5 call us to renew our minds and take every thought captive rather than simply accepting the world's programming at face value. Awareness is the starting point. You cannot reprogram a pattern you have never noticed. Whatever you are facing, chronic illness, exhaustion, or autoimmune disease, there is always hope when you go to God first. Immune Regulation, Omega-3 Nuance, and Himalayan Tartary Buckwheat with Dr. Austin Perlmutter, chief science officer of Big Bold Health. He details immune regulation as a nuanced, multidimensional system shaped by diet and lifestyle rather than simple “boosting.” Perlmutter explains Big Bold Health's focus on immunometabolism, educating about immune complexity, and conducting studies on nutraceuticals, including use of CGMs and clinical trials. He discusses why eating fish often outperforms refined fish-oil supplements, noting conventional processing (heat, bleaching, deodorizing, esterification) and loss of other lipids and nutrients. Perlmutter highlights specialized pro-resolving mediators (resolvins, protectins, maresins) and vitamins A and D as potentially better preserved in minimally processed oils, and reviews typical omega-3 intake and target ranges. The conversation also covers immunosenescence/inflammaging and Big Bold Health research on sprouted Himalayan Tartary Buckwheat, its high polyphenols (rutin, quercetin), microbiome effects, and studies including epigenetic aging clocks and brain outcomes.
