Now this can get tricky because a lot of times the choices that people make now this can be tricky because there's a very fine line here, but I think it is so important to spend time on.  The whole reason that this podcast episode is absolutely essential is because we are making decisions all day long about the people we interact with and who we lead into our inner circle… and this is a very clear issue to me… But only very recently. Since we know that it is absolutely crucial for us to protect our happy headspace and really try to give our energy to things that drive us forward and are aligned with our main life priorities. So having people in our lives that make us feel shitty about ourselves, or are constantly running us down or being inconsiderate and hurting our feelings… is not part of the program. This is one of those things that I've only just fully seen super clearly within the last few weeks.  And I think it's so crazy important because if you really take the time to think of it this way when you're in different situation… you will absolutely make the best decisions when interacting with them and also how much interaction you should actually have with them.  So let's define our terms… What do we consider a jerk and what do we consider someone who hasn't hasn't worked through their own issues yet.  JERK To me, a jerk is someone who puts themselves first- so they are a good friend when it works for them… Often times the conversation is 90% about them and 10% about you… Now not all of these examples will of course apply to every jerk… I'm just giving you examples… Jerks sometimes say mean things just to be mean… They don't take accountability for their actions. Often times if you look at how they treat other people… Not just you… It's easier to actually see who they are. I think it's also very important to believe people when they show you who they are, I really am an eternal optimist, but that can be to a disadvantage because sometimes I'll keep thinking… This person will see this new change… When the reality is… If someone shows you who they are over and over again… Responsibility is on you now not them… They showing you who they are and now it's your job to recognize it and protect yourself appropriately.  Examples: Mind manipulates you - guilt trips etc.  Lack of compassion or empathy - often critical, always your fault, nit picks, causes fights  No accountability - blames you for all  Gaslighting - deny facts, rewrite history and even make you sought your own thoughts  Exportation - financial or emotional - use your resources for their own gain - without much in return  Control- often seen control of every part of the relationship  Friends are disposable - can abruptly end a friendship or relationship without any empathy. SOMEONE WITH ISSUES  For a person who has issues they haven't resolved yet… The behavior can be similar, but if you look closely, there's usually a very clear difference. Examples:  Projection - put their own negative emotions on you.  Their insecurities or unresolved issue.  Mood swings- they can be angry or irritable with you without clear reasons  Overacting- they can have a big reaction to a minor issue - because they have a heightened emotional sensitivity  Blame shifting - its all your fault  Inconsistency - change their mind often, not sure what version of them you are going to get Jealousy and envy- they feel inadequate so they can be competitive and not happy for your wins  Neediness- they might overly depend on you - which can be emotionally draining  Talk behind your back - because they feel insecure  HOW TO APPROACH BOTH- your blueprint  Jerk- distance- don't engage in the argument Often not worth the time to explain how they hurt you or disregarded your feelings.  Someone with issues- depends on how close you are to them.  Give them grace.  Or tell them- I know this is not the person that you are.  Give them time and space.  Be honest about how their actions affected you.  Offer support and a safe space  Keep boundaries - so their negative stuff doesn't impact you  Know when you have to walk away - at least for now  It's so important to know the difference and to proceed differently with both.  You will feel so much freedom and spend so much more time in your happy headspace!

Reist mit uns in die fantastische Welt von Hollywood, in der erwachsene Männer Kindermützen tragen, Elfinnen Brustpanzer mit ausgearbeiteten Nippeln besitzen und Schurken noch nicht so was Unnötiges, wie nachvollziehbare Motive haben. Und der Zwerg ist sowieso immer dabei!

Die Freude ist groß, denn heute geht es wieder um unsere ungeliebten Knochenköpfe. Oder wie es Alex zusammenfasst: Alex: "So'n halbgarer Minbari-Schwachsinn" Wir beginnen auch gleich an der Minibar, an der sich Paule Pak'ma'ra vor seiner Rangerschulung offenbar reichlich bedient hat, denn während der Lehrer noch pseudosinniges Zeuch vor sich hinfaselt, gleitet der Pak'ma'ra sanft ins Land der Träume... Man entschließt sich zum spontanen Schulausflug nach Babylon 5 und will natürlich die besten der besten....schön zu Hause lassen und statt dessen die beiden Klassenclowns mit zu Ranger one nehmen. Was dann passiert? Naja, man trifft sich mit Delenn und salbeiert irgendwas minbarieskes und entschließt sich zu einer Tour über die Station. Und die beginnt fast schon traditionell im braunen Sektor, wo gerade ein Klischee-Bösewicht-Nachwuchsdarsteller sein Overacting übt, um die Kontrolle über die Stations-Unterunterwelt zu erlangen. Denn die steht geschlossen hinter ihm. Auch was die Subtilität des Schauspiels betrifft.... Gangsterboss hat jedenfalls einen cleveren Plan: Da Zack im Gegensatz zu seinem Vorgänger tatsächlich kompetent ist, soll dieser aus dem Weg geräumt werden. Also Zack. Nicht der Vorgänger. Dazu überredet man eine holde Maid zu einem fingierten Notruf. Die im Anschluß plötzlich Gewissensbisse bekommt. Was hat sie denn gedacht, was die sympathischen halbseidenen Herren mit dem Sicherheitschef vorhaben? Tja, blöd für Undercoverboss, dass ausgerechnet Max Minbar das Zeugenmeucheln mitbekommt und bewaffnet mit moralischer Überlegenheit zur Messerstecherei erscheint. Statt den Sicherheitschef zu töten begnügen sich die Gangster nun damit, den Minbari ein bißchen zu verdreschen. Ein fataler Fehler, denn: Gregor: "Wenn einer von uns verprügelt wird, dann gilt das Gesetz des Minbari-Schulhofs!" In Zeitlupe und eher lächerlicher Inszenierung wird nun also die komplette Sicherheit aus dem braunen Sektor abkommandiert und ein Gangster nach dem anderen bekommt die Rache bzw den Kampfstab der Minbari zu spüren. Und in unserer Phantasie übernehmen die Minbari im Anschluß die Unterwelt im braunen Sektor. Kommen wir also zur Bewertung des ganzen, das uns hier mit ordentlich Zucker serviert wird. Aber am Ende macht es eher sauer, was wir hier sehen. Eine B und eine C Handlung kombiniert ergibt eben keine A-Handlung. Irgendwie fühlt sich das Ergebnis wie etwas an, das in Staffel hätte laufen können. Raphael: "Das fühlt sich an wie Resteessen." Machen wirs kurz: Eigentlich drücken sich alle um die Wertung, die am Ende nicht zu mehr reicht als 2 von 6 Penisse

Lange nicht gesehen und doch wiedererkannt: Weil uns Trotteln die Arbeit wichtiger war als dieser Podcast, hat es bis zu dieser Episode deutlich länger gedauert, als wir wollten. Dafür gab's Döner zum Film und darin jede Menge lieblosen und unnützen Mist, der niemandem was bringt. Overacting, Underacting, die mieseste Kameraarbeit seit ewigen Zeiten, richtig schlecht geschnitten und vom Ton fangen wir gar nicht erst an. Kurz: "Shark Exorcist" ist riesiger, riesiger Schrott. Zum Ausklang des Jahres haben uns die Podwichtel eine besondere Ausgabe hinterlassen: Es geht nämlich um Babylon 5! Und so hat sich hier zur Abwechslung einmal der blaue Rat unter den Scheinwerfern eingefunden - aber da bekanntlich in der Nacht alle Räte grau und die Jungs sehr motiviert (und betrunken) sind, fällt eigentlich kaum ein Unterschied zu sonst auf. Nagut, in der Form des Castes schon, denn wir bekommen hier einen Livekommentar zur 19. Folge der zweiten Staffel - "Verräter ohne Schuld" - geliefert. Der geneigte Hörer erinnert sich, dass jene Folge bei uns mit einer recht soliden Vier-Penis-Wertung bedacht wurde - ob das ausreicht, um in wenig-bis-nichts-ahnenden Quereinsteigern babylonische Begeisterung zu entfachen? Nein, wohl eher nicht. Auf den Zuschauer ohne Vorkenntnisse prasseln dann wohl doch zu viele Details herein und überschatten (Hihi) die Handlung doch ein bisschen. Auch die speziellen Effekte sowie gelegentliches Overacting (der graue Rat berichtete) vermögen unsere Gastcaster nicht vollends ins Boot zu holen. Aber immerhin werden Garibaldis wiederholte Erfolge beim stationsweiten Bruce-Willis-Ähnlichkeitswettbewerb gewürdigt und die schon vor Jahrzehnten die männlichen Zuschauerschaft begeisternden Andeutungen von Homoerotik finden auch Anklang. Und so kann man uns hier noch ein paar Gedankenanstöße bezüglich des Wasserkreislaufs der Station, der Wahrscheinlichkeit von Schrebergartensiedlungen im Weltraum und neue Ansätze zur Befestigung der Comlinks mitgeben. Und eines muss man den Jungs lassen: Die Auflösung der Folge hatten sie im Handumdrehen parat. Da die Folgenwertung in eine bunte Mischung aus primären und sekundären Geschlechtsmerkmalen ausufert, fällt es schwer, einen Mittelwert zu ziehen - aber zumindest gibt es in den Shownotes noch das von den Wichteln versprochene Bild von schönen Brüsten. Lecker!

Lyta ist wieder da! Wir erinnern uns: Die rotharige Telepathentante, die in Stöckelschuhen und Pornomantel im Pilotfilm größtenteils als Expositions-Krücke herumgestakst ist. Und die nicht nur Dr Kyles medizinische Plexiglasstange zu einer beliebten Redewendung in diesem Podcast gemacht hat, sondern auch Overacting in der Krankenstation salonfähig. Aber Lyta kommt nicht nur auf die Station um uns von ihrer eingeschränkten Schauspielkunst zu unterzeugen. Nein, sie bringt auch eine wichtige Information mit: Einer im Kommandostab ist ein Schläfer und arbeitet ohne es zu wissen, eigentlich für das Psi-Corps. Alle Augen und Kameras schwenken überaus subtil zu Susan Meine Herren! (und Damen!) Wenn es in den 90gern schon sowas wie twitter oder hashtags gegeben hätte, JMS hätte sich das #superschwellig mehr als redlich verdient. Denn warum sonst, würde sie sich so vehement weigern, das telepatische Passwort gesendet zu bekommen? Soll sie sich mal ein Beispiel an Garibalidi nehmen, der nicht nur - als Einziger(!) - daran denkt, vorher seine Waffe abzugeben, sondern seine Kollegen gleich darauf auch noch so richtig schön trollt. So entfährt uns auch nur ein müde gelächeltes "Tja", als die Gute sich dann am Ende doch bereit erklärt und - welch eine Überraschung - doch nicht die Gesuchte Schläferin ist. Apropos Schläferin. Susan schläft am liebsten im blauen Sateng-Schlafanzug. Und nicht allein. Talia hatte eine feuchte Wohnung (wer hat da "Keller!" gerufen?) und darf deshalb bei Susan pennen. Und vermutlich auch mit ihr. Tim und Sascha gehen jedenfalls beide davon aus, dass die beiden in Susans Bett mindestens eine erotische Kissenschlacht gemacht haben. Davon kann Lyta nur träumen...Richtig. Da war ja noch die Handlung um Lyta. Die kommt zu einem traurigen Höhepunkt (höhö) als 1) Talia ungefragt und grundlos in eine geschlossene Sitzung des Führungsstabes platzt 2) Lyta ungefragt und grundlos das telepathische Passwort an Talia schickt Diese flippt darauf hin total aus und stellt sich als die lang gesuchte Schläferin heraus. Die Ihrer Liebhaberin nun noch ein paar Schimpfworte an den Kopf hauen darf. Damit endet die sehr kurze Romanze von Susan und Talia, die so viele Fanficktion-Schreiberinnen zu (geistigen) Ergüssen verleitet hat. Alles in Allem auf jeden Fall eine Folge, die sich ins kollektive Gedächtnis (vor allem der männlichen Zuschauer) gebrannt hat. Auch wenn, oder vielleicht grade weil, die Beziehung zwischen Susan und Talia nicht so gezeigt wurde, wie es heute der Fall sein würde. Hey, wir sind hier immerhin in den 90gern und nicht auf HBO! Die Idee, dass das PsiCorps einen Schläfer in sämtliche Führungspositionen der Erdallianz eingeschleust hat, ist überzeugend und zeugt von einem durchdachten Storytelling, das abseits des Epsilon-Sektors wiederum in den 90gern nur mit der Lupe zu finden war. Schön ist auch, wie Handlungen aus der Vergangenheit (Und Zukunft!) sehr beiläufig in die aktuelle eingewoben wurden. Und die Regie ist alle erste Sahne. Einziges Schmanko: Der drehbuchschreiberische Ejakulatio postcox, mit dem die vermeindliche Enttarnung Susans so sehr in die Länge gezogen wird, wie die Silben in einem Satz von Dr Cox. Auf jeden Fall eine überdurschnittliche Wertung und wir vergeben mal mehr und mal weniger hormongesteuert: 4 von 6 Penissen
