Day 1,586.Today, as Vladimir Putin continues to make grossly exaggerated claims about Russia's gains on the battlefield, we assess the latest military progress of both sides, before looking at the long-delayed and controversial defence investment plan finally announced by the British. More money for drones, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence: but does it go far enough, and how close is London to hitting the 5% NATO target demanded by President Donald Trump? Then we hear what the citizens of Kyiv think about Ukraine being on the pathway to membership of the European Union, and report on a manhunt underway in southern France after a parcel bomb exploded at a residential building in neighbouring Monaco, injuring wealthy Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev.Contributors:Francis Dearnley (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @FrancisDearnley on X.Dominic Nicholls (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @DomNicholls on X.James Crisp (Telegraph's Europe Editor). @JamesCrisp6 on X.Antonia Langford (Freelance Journalist in Kyiv). @Antonialford on XProducer: Phil AtkinsSenior Producer: Lilian FawcettVideo Producer: Sophie O'SullivanSocial Producer: Gabby ColvinStudio Director: Meghan SearleExecutive Editor: Francis DearnleyCreated by David KnowlesNOW IN FULL VIDEO WITH MAPS & BATTLEFIELD FOOTAGE:Every episode is now available on our YouTube channel shortly after the release of the audio version. Welcome back to another episode of Fratello On Air! This week, we talk about car watches, a curious subgenre within our hobby. Sure, the automobile industry is massive and has an equally huge fan base, but collaborations between watch and car brands often misfire. This draws us into a conversation about what we think of when pairing our vehicles with a watch. Whether it's for driving or attending a related event, what works best?Yes, in this episode, we tackle a challenging topic. Or, for some of our readers and listeners, perhaps it isn't a consideration at all. Car watches have been a focal point since wristwatches were first created. Angled dials meant to help drivers tell time at a glance have been produced by many marques. Then, an obvious complication associated with cars and racing is the chronograph. This is the most common platform for pieces made for Formula One teams and other automotive brands. We find many of these too on the nose, with overt branding that may only appeal to an owner of a car from the related maker. So, what should we wear when driving our fun cars or when heading off to a get-together or race?HandgelenkskontrolleFolks, it's hot out there, so we kick off our show by talking about the oppressive heat and the need for more air conditioning. Then, we mention the World Cup and all the great stories we've seen about visitors enjoying fun restaurants and customs in America. Once again, the Scots have endeared themselves to the locals. Travel-wise, Balazs just returned from Los Angeles, where he organized a Chrono24 get-together with our friends from the Spirit of Time podcast. Nearly 60 people came together at a Pasadena brewery to share their passion for watches. Mike visited the Icons of Porsche: Sunstede Silverstone Edition event celebrating Porsche's 75th anniversary in the UK. It was an incredible showing of cars and car culture. It's also what led us to our main topic — car watches. For the Handgelenkskontrolle, Balazs is wearing one of the watches he took to California. It's none other than his prized Rolex GMT-Master 1675. Mike is still on a vintage chronograph kick and is wearing his Lemania-powered Meylan chronograph with a decimal scale.Car watchesCurrent and past horological catalogs are littered with car watches. You know, when a watch brand decides to sponsor a racing team or become the official partner of a prestigious luxury automaker. Very few are good, while most are tacky or overbranded. So, on the heels of the Porsche event, it got us thinking about the right pieces to wear when enjoying all things petrolhead. We both wholeheartedly agree that Heuer is the unequivocal leader for motorsport-related driving and race-inspired timepieces. However, it's the surprising Omega Speedmaster, in any form, that checks in as a no-nonsense racing-related model. This is despite its fame as a space watch.Other watches, including the Amida Digitrend, Omega Chronostop, and the Vacheron Constantin American 1921, arise as driver-focused pieces. Regarding newer ones, mechaquartz movements have helped inspire some attractive, robust models. The Bamford Mayfair 2.0 is a fun, brightly colored chronograph with an interchangeable case ready for any event. We close out with our ultimate "one and done" watch to wear for anything car-related. For Mike, the Heuer Carrera 2447 is pure perfection. Balazs has also chosen a Heuer, but he sees the Monaco as the ultimate car watch. Thanks for listening to today's episode! As always, feel free to let us know if you have topics for future episodes.

This week's podcast features an interview with Great Britain's Paula Radcliffe, one of the best-known names in running for the past 30+ years.Radcliffe first gained international prominence when she won the World Jr. Cross-Country race (on a snowy day in Boston, MA) in 1992. She had a great track career, and then moved up to the marathon, where she enjoyed unparalleled success. Among her biggest wins: three London Marathon titles, and three NYC Marathons. At the 2003 London Marathon, Radcliffe ran a then-almost-unthinkable 2:15:25 to set a world record that lasted for 16 years. It even survived the first several years of the super-shoe onslaught until Brigid Kosgei ran 2:14:04 in the 2019 Chicago Marathon.A little more than a year ago, Radcliffe, then 51, came out of marathon retirement to run the Tokyo and Boston Marathons with finish times in the mid 2:50s. This gave her finishes in the six original Abbott World Marathon Majors races.Radcliffe currently lives in Monaco with her husband, Gary Lough, a well-known coach and agent, and a 15-year-old son, Raphael. Raphael has recently gotten serious about his running, and lowered his 1500-meter best to 3:59. An older daughter, Isla, who had a cancer scare in her teen years, is studying at college in Great Britain.Radcliffe stays deeply involved in the sport through her track and marathon commentary for various TV outlets. She also co-hosts a podcast titled “Paula's Run Club,” and promotes youth-running opportunities with several organizations. In this conversation, Radcliffe talked in depth about her early running experiences and influences, her peak training, her favorite runners, the current women's marathon world record (2:09:56, by Ruth Chepngetich), and much more.To learn more about Radcliffe and her activities, check out her Instagram account.WHERE TO FIND "RUNNING: STATE OF THE SPORT"Use your smartphone to download our podcast from Apple, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, or other podcast players.

George Russell Congratulations to Lewis (Hamilton). He drove a really impressive race today after being incredibly quick in Qualifying yesterday. Coming into the weekend, I don't think we expected that pace from Ferrari, so we know we've got a challenge coming from them in the races ahead. We will be working hard to tackle that challenge and get back to winning ways. On my side, the race today was not straightforward. I was struggling with the tyres towards the end of my second and third stints; the Virtual Safety Car didn't help us either and it would have been a fascinating race with Lewis without that. I will take the positives from this weekend though. It has been clean from the very start and I come away with 18 points, which is 18 points more than I managed across Canada and Monaco! We will regroup in the week ahead and look to improve for Austria. We've got a big double-header coming up with Spielberg and Silverstone and I am already excited for it. Kimi Antonelli It is very disappointing to retire from P2, but these things can happen in racing. George suffered an issue in Canada and now it's happened to me; we know our reliability is something we need to work on and I am sure the team will be pushing incredibly hard to improve that. It's more important points that we've lost but we must remember that it is the first year of these new regulations and we are all learning quickly. Congratulations to Lewis (Hamilton) on his victory today. He is a great driver and has been so much help in my career so far. I am pleased to see him up there once again as he really deserves it. I think we had the pace today to challenge him for the win, but the Virtual Safety Car came out at a bad time for us, and we didn't get to see how things would have played out. We have one week without racing before returning in Austria. We have seen our competitors take a step forward here this weekend and we will need to raise our game there if we want to fight for victory again. We will pick ourselves up, learn from this weekend, and come back stronger. MAX VERSTAPPEN - 4th "Today we just didn't have the pace to keep up with the cars ahead. I was really just doing my own race as we were a little bit behind the guys that finished in front of me. As a Team we did everything right, it was the winning strategy, so we made the right call there with the tyres. We were just too slow compared to the cars ahead on each compound, unfortunately. We tried our best and put everything into it but ultimately the whole weekend was a bit tough for us. We do struggle more with these high energy tracks with high degradation and we just need to work on things and try to find more pace in the upcoming races." ISACK HADJAR - 6th "I felt like I had good pace this weekend once we got to Qualifying and the race, but I had a shocker at the race start with so much wheelspin, so that's one aspect I really want to focus on before Red Bull Ring. We could have fought with Oscar if we had a good start, so it's a bit of a shame. I think we did way better than we thought we would this weekend given the track layout and conditions. Austria will be a better track for us, and we expect to have a stronger car. We just need to work on the starts." TOYOTA TAKE ITS SIXTH VICTORY AT LE MANS Toyota executed a perfect, textbook strategy throughout the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to claim its first victory since 2022, securing a sixth overall triumph and equalling the tally of British marque Bentley. To spectacular fanfare, Japanese powerhouse Toyota Racing lifted the iconic trophy at a sun-kissed Circuit de la Sarthe for the first time in four years, in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators at the venue and millions more watching around the world. Drivers Kamui Kobayashi, Nyck de Vries and Mike Conway emerged as the team to beat at the end of the race, guiding the #7 Toyota to victory ahead of the sister #8 Toyota Racing entry, the #20 BMW M Team WRT and the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA machine in an epic four-way battle to the chequered flag – underlining the "Platinum Era" status that the Hypercar category is building. For Kobayashi, it was a second Le Mans victory. It marked a second triumph for British star Mike Conway and, for the first time in 38 years, a historic win for the Netherlands as Nyck de Vries became the latest Dutch driver to conquer Le Mans. It looked set to be another Toyota one-two, but BMW's never-say-die attitude ensured that the FIA World Endurance Championship points leaders – the #20 crew of Robin Frijns, René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde – claimed second overall and a valuable haul of championship points. Toyota could still be delighted with third place, although a few costly mistakes and strategy calls denied the #8 Toyota of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa another victory. Meanwhile, Cadillac can take plenty of plaudits once again. A crowd favourite throughout the week, the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA crew gave everything in pursuit of victory, and the pace they demonstrated at Le Mans suggests they will remain contenders for years to come. Inter Europol Competiton lock-out LMP2 It was a grandstand finish in LMP2 as Inter Europol Competition worked well overnight to bring both cars into the rostrum contention, but a second day charge from Forestier Racing by Panis had everyone on the edge of their seats, but after 24 hours of racing the Polish #43 ORECA with pilots Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Nicholas Yelloly win the penultimate race at Le Mans for this specification LMP2 car! Corvette charge back to the top! Corvette capture the magic of Le Mans once again with iconic yellow #33 Corvette run by TF Sport took LMGT3 laurels with Ben Keating, Jonny Edgar, Nicky Catsburg taking a popular leap onto the top step of the podium. Akkodis ASP Team put Lexus on the podium for the first time at Le Mans with the #78 car second and the #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin joins in the celebrations in third. Interview Date: June 7th, 2026Episode Summary:This episode dives into Sienna Morris's journey from a dedicated young dancer to a working professional in Los Angeles, highlighting the mindset, preparation, and initiative required to succeed in today's dance industry. From choosing dance over gymnastics at an early age to navigating a short-lived opportunity in Monaco, Sienna demonstrates the importance of trusting your instincts and making bold decisions that align with your long-term goals. Her transition into the LA scene, including joining Ballet Red, marked a pivotal shift into the professional world and set the foundation for her evolving career.Throughout the conversation, Sienna emphasizes the power of self-advocacy, networking, and consistency. She shares how introducing herself in rooms, building genuine relationships, and staying visible have directly led to opportunities. A standout mindset she lives by is her “24-hour rule” for handling rejection—allowing herself time to process before moving forward with clarity and focus. She also speaks on the importance of versatility, expanding into acting and performance, and developing multiple skill sets to remain competitive in a fast-paced industry. The episode also explores preparation and personal branding. Sienna discusses how having strong materials—reels, a professional website, and a clear online presence—helped her enter the LA market with confidence. She reflects on mentorship through Business of Dance, landing brand deals, and learning to confidently negotiate her worth. Ultimately, her story reinforces that success in dance goes beyond talent—it requires ownership, resilience, and strong relationships. Her message is clear: the dancers who take initiative and build connections are the ones who create lasting careers.Shownotes:0:01 – Introduction and Sienna Morris full-circle journey2:57 – Mentorship experience and early career reflections 4:05 – Early training and choosing dance path 6:37 – Monaco opportunity and trusting your instincts 9:42 – Moving to LA and Ballet Red experience 10:22 – Networking, visibility, and self-advocacy 14:12 – Handling rejection with “24-hour rule” 17:45 – Building versatility across dance and acting 18:48 – College path versus going professional early 23:00 – Preparing materials before entering LA market26:44 – Business of Dance impact on branding 30:00 – First brand deal and negotiating value32:20 – Social media strategy and consistency 41:34 – Agents vs self-submissions and ownership49:55 – Relationships matter: contacts equal contractsBiography:Sienna Morris is an LA-based dancer, actor, model, choreographer, and educator whose work blends contemporary ballet with the versatility of today's entertainment industry. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, Bad Bunny, has spent the past week at the center of both pop culture and global headlines, with a mix of high‑profile performances, a surprise meeting, and viral concert moments dominating social media and music coverage. RTVE and other Spanish outlets report that Bad Bunny had a quietly arranged private audience with Pope León XIV at Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu stadium, timed around the pontiff's visit to Spain and Bad Bunny's tour stop there. According to RTVE, they greeted each other briefly, spoke in private for a few moments inside the stadium, and posed for photos, with only one official image expected from the papal delegation. YouTube news breakdowns of the meeting describe it as “one of the most anticipated encounters” of the Pope's trip, highlighting how unprecedented it is for a Latin trap superstar to share a private audience with the Pope in a football cathedral instead of the Vatican. On the performance side, Bad Bunny's current tour stop in Madrid has been heavily dissected on Instagram and TikTok. A widely shared clip on Instagram from his Madrid show captures a funny, slightly chaotic moment during the song “Diles” when a group of fans suddenly starts belting out “El Farsante,” an Ozuna track. In the reel, crowd audio overtakes the track, and the confusion draws laughs online as listeners debate whether it was a harmless mash‑up moment or a low‑key slight to Bad Bunny. The clip has been replayed across fan pages, with comments joking that Madrid briefly turned the concert into an Ozuna sing‑along. Another Madrid concert clip blowing up on TikTok shows Bad Bunny stopping the show after recognizing a fan who had tried to book him years ago for her quinceañera. The TikTok creator explains that when he spotted her with a sign referencing that old request, he paused the performance, spoke directly to her from the stage, and shared the story with the crowd, calling it “épico.” That moment is being framed by fans as a rare, warm callback to his early career days, reinforcing his reputation for connecting personally with the audience even at stadium scale. Music media on YouTube and Latin pop commentary channels are also still unpacking the broader impact of his latest album, DeBÍ Tirar Más Fotos, emphasizing how it continues his pattern of bending reggaeton, trap, and alternative influences while maintaining mainstream dominance. One recent long‑form video essay positions him as a “global icon of Latin culture” and traces a line from his politically charged performances—like calling out Trump in earlier years—to this current phase where he is comfortable oscillating between stadium parties, quiet spiritual symbolism via the Pope meeting, and fashion and sports court‑side appearances. On social platforms, Bad Bunny's songs remain embedded in wider culture even when he isn't physically present. Clips from reality shows like Love Island USA on TikTok feature his track Monaco as background music during romantic scenes, keeping his catalog in constant rotation and discovery cycles for new listeners. That ongoing soundtrack presence underlines how his music continues to score TV, sports highlight edits, and influencer content across Instagram and TikTok. At the same time, several fan accounts are circulating older footage of him at major sports events alongside new celebrity‑courtside compilations, reinforcing the image of Bad Bunny as a fixture at big‑ticket games, even when this week's sports chatter is focused on other stars. Those mash‑ups, paired with the Madrid stadium content, paint him as equally at home in arenas as on traditional music stages. So over just the past seven days, listeners have seen Bad Bunny bridge sacred and secular, intimate fan moments and massive stadium energy, all while his songs quietly soundtrack global social media. Monaco is often seen as a playground for the rich and famous—a tiny kingdom of casinos, superyachts, and royalty. But according to veteran intelligence operative and author Robert Eringer, beneath the glamour lies a far more complicated world of espionage, organized crime, money laundering, and political intrigue. In this episode, we discuss his explosive memoir The Spymaster of Monte Carlo, the story of how he says he was recruited by Albert II, Prince of Monaco to build a modern intelligence service for the Principality of **Monaco>. Part spy thriller, part political memoir, and part insider account of palace politics, this conversation explores the murky intersection of power, privilege, intelligence work, and the personal cost of pursuing uncomfortable truths.
Today, I have the pleasure of speaking with Sarah Thorpe Scott, an executive coach and advisor working at the intersection of leadership, capital, and family enterprise systems. She supports executives, investors, and multigenerational families navigating the moments that matter, including succession, wealth transfer, leadership transitions, governance decisions, and spouses marrying into family systems. Her work focuses on the emotional and relational dynamics that often sit beneath these moments, helping families prepare the next generation for leadership and stewardship while strengthening the dialogue and trust required for long-term success across generations. Sarah is the Founder of Thorpe Scott Coaching & Advisory, Coach-in-Residence at Bedrock, a global multi-family office with offices in Geneva, London, and Monaco, and a Special Advisor to Horizons, a member network of millennial next-generation leaders and investors. Sarah began her career in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York and later worked across leading media organizations including CNBC and Forbes. She went on to hold senior leadership roles at The New York Times, where she became Managing Director, EMEA, leading global teams and executing dozens of complex, multi-million-dollar partnerships with multinational organizations across virtually every major industry. Married into a fifth-generation family enterprise herself, Sarah brings both professional rigor and lived experience to her work with family offices, next-generation leaders, and the executives and advisors who work alongside them. She has served as Chair of the Young Vic Development Board and the Duke UK Alumni Board. We delve into the topic of spousal integration into UHNW families and the experiences of spouses within the broader family enterprise. We start by having Sarah sharing her observations on how family structures see and treat spouses today, and how enterprise family systems are organized to receive and engage spouses and in-laws. Sarah describes how spousal integration works presently, outlining the typical experience of a spouse joining a multigenerational family of wealth. She highlights some of the common challenges faced by spouses entering these sometimes-complex family systems. One common, and often controversial, practical tool that is part of the spousal integration process is the prenuptial agreement. Sarah shares her thoughts and lived experiences on how well prenups work and offers her views on where there may be room to improve and enhance the experience of the soon-to-be-married couple going through the process. Finally, Sarah lays out her vision and roadmap for a better spousal integration process, including the elements, the approach, and the spirit that can provide a more positive, engaging, and pleasant experience for spouses and the entire family. Enjoy this illuminating conversation with a highly regarded family member-turned-practitioner providing thought leadership in the spousal integration topic that impacts every enterprising family.

Autosport's Kevin Turner and Stuart Codling break down a dramatic Monaco Grand Prix, analysing the biggest winners and losers, the latest FIA ADUO updates, and a race packed with controversy. The weekend belonged to Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who secured his fifth consecutive victory after Max Verstappen's race was compromised by engine issues at the start. The young Italian controlled proceedings from the front and held his nerve through a standing restart following Charles Leclerc's heavy crash and the resulting red flag. Monaco also delivered plenty of post-race drama, with investigations and penalties creating uncertainty right up to the chequered flag. One of the biggest casualties was Pierre Gasly, who lost a podium finish after receiving penalties, promoting Isack Hadjar to another impressive podium result despite driving an underperforming Red Bull.
